We met Shafaq at our very first open house where she was showing a home that wasnt right for us. She was open and personable and asked for our contact info even though we were only casually looking at the time and unsure of what we wanted. She touched base every now and then to see where we were in the process, and respectfully backed away when we werent interested. We went to a few more open houses and were honestly a little surprised to find that Shafaqs welcoming attitude was not common in other realtors. So, a month ago, when we found our dream home, we knew who to contact. She remembered us and was on top of everything, making sure to explain contingencies, offers, time frames, requirements, etc. We are sure she had to explain many things more than once to us first-time homebuyers. Whenever we had a question about anything in the home-buying process--Shafaq was there, ready with an answer or willing to do quick research.We have no doubt that we got our home for the very best price, with the sellers meeting our every request (even with Shelter-in-Place!), even after the offer was accepted and all contingencies were removed. This is definitely thanks to Shafaqs ability to negotiate and follow up--she remembered things that we forgot we even asked! We also trusted her to have our back which she did, every step of the way. When we rate her responsiveness, we wish we could give an even better rating! She made sure to contact us both separately and together while also making sure that we were all on the same page throughout the process.We were a little leery about finding a realtor because we were worried about finding someone who ultimately only cared about the commission. While we dont doubt that importance, it became clear that Shafaqs number one priority was to make us happy as buyers. She went above and beyond looking into things for us, contacting third parties to help us get the services we needed to make our home ready. And when we were officially on record, she surprised us with the cutest welcome ritual! We would recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone who is looking in the Silicon Valley as she is very knowledgeable about the area, the market, and the process. She is an absolute joy to work with!
