We cant speak highly enough of our experience with Shafaq. Shafaq was recommended to us by a friend and we knew instantly that she was the one for us. We were first-time homebuyers with little knowledge of the home buying process and she made the entire process as stress-free as possible. Her pragmatic and friendly approach helped to take the pressure off of us.We never felt forced to make an offer and when we finally found the one”, Shafaq walked us through every step of the negotiation process. She even recommended our lender which helped us lock in a favorable rate. Her extensive knowledge of the field helped us land our new home with very little stress. It was a pleasure working with Shafaq on our recent home purchase. Trying to find a home in the Bay Area is always a challenging endeavor, but Shafaq really took the pain out of the process and made it enjoyable.We actually first reached out to Shafaq when we were ready to put an offer on a home. She graciously responded to our frantic request and jumped in to help us through the process. When our initial bid didnt work out, Shafaq was very helpful in deeply understanding what we were looking for in a home and recommending us properties to view. She had creative solutions along the way, recommending that we consider new construction homes which we may not have otherwise looked at. It was a great experience working with Shafaq! It took us more than 1 year to find a house and Shafaq was always there to guide us through the whole process, from finding the house till closing and even helped us after we got our keys. Her response time is lightning fast! Shafaq helped my husband and I buy our first condo, and she did FANTASTIC job from start to finish! We were coming out of a bad experience with a new construction, and Shafaq listened to our needs and found us the perfect home in a couple of weeks. This was not an easy job since we had specific needs (Im disabled), and a low budget for our area.She was super positive, responded within the hour, and did an amazing job negotiating for the property we wanted. HIGHLY recommend!

Absolutely the best real estate agent you can imagine. She helped us buying our first home. She did amazing on negotiating our home and helped us purchase home 50k lower than whats listed, including 2 year home warranty. She has great negotiating skill and she knows how to help us get the home we absolutely want. She is fast, responsive and most importantly she is so energetic and full of positive energy. Highly highly recommend to work with Shafaq, if you are planning on buying home in bay area. :)

We first met Shafaq at a homebuyer’s class at the local library co-hosted with Rob McCarthy. We liked her mentality and work ethic straight away. She answered all the varied questions in a concise and professional manner. When we were ready to buy our new home it was an easy decision who to contact first - Shafaq.Relocating from the UK, Shafaq patiently and clearly explained how the US house buying process worked. That coupled with excellent local knowledge and a good network of trade contacts makes for a winning combination.6 weeks after the close of escrow she is still checking in, showing she really does care for her clients. We worked with Shafaq on buying our first home. One of my friends referred us to her. She is very clear in her communication and understands what you are looking for before making any suggestions. Being first time home buyers, we bombarded her with millions of questions and she answered each one of them. She is great with recommendations be it for mortgage, insurance or anything you need help with.I would definitely recommend her to friends and family.

We met Shafaq at our very first open house where she was showing a home that wasnt right for us. She was open and personable and asked for our contact info even though we were only casually looking at the time and unsure of what we wanted. She touched base every now and then to see where we were in the process, and respectfully backed away when we werent interested. We went to a few more open houses and were honestly a little surprised to find that Shafaqs welcoming attitude was not common in other realtors. So, a month ago, when we found our dream home, we knew who to contact. She remembered us and was on top of everything, making sure to explain contingencies, offers, time frames, requirements, etc. We are sure she had to explain many things more than once to us first-time homebuyers. Whenever we had a question about anything in the home-buying process--Shafaq was there, ready with an answer or willing to do quick research.We have no doubt that we got our home for the very best price, with the sellers meeting our every request (even with Shelter-in-Place!), even after the offer was accepted and all contingencies were removed. This is definitely thanks to Shafaqs ability to negotiate and follow up--she remembered things that we forgot we even asked! We also trusted her to have our back which she did, every step of the way. When we rate her responsiveness, we wish we could give an even better rating! She made sure to contact us both separately and together while also making sure that we were all on the same page throughout the process.We were a little leery about finding a realtor because we were worried about finding someone who ultimately only cared about the commission. While we dont doubt that importance, it became clear that Shafaqs number one priority was to make us happy as buyers. She went above and beyond looking into things for us, contacting third parties to help us get the services we needed to make our home ready. And when we were officially on record, she surprised us with the cutest welcome ritual! We would recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone who is looking in the Silicon Valley as she is very knowledgeable about the area, the market, and the process. She is an absolute joy to work with!

We are first time buyers and Shafaq was the best choice we made while kicking off the process of exploring the market. She made our job very easy. She is super friendly and very easy to talk to. She walked us through the process patiently and helped drive a lot of things in the background on our behalf with our lenders to close the deal on time and achieve the title transfer date we wanted. Guided us through every small detail and all the questions we had. Took all COVID related precautions during the house tours and educated us on things to pay attention to when touring a house which we may have missed since we were going through this process for the first time. She was very helpful in guiding us through the bidding process and we were able to seal the deal for the first house that we put in the offer for. Throughout the process she was very prompt in her responses and proactive in gathering quotes for any services that we might need and help save our time. We met Shafaq during an open house 2 years back and exchangedcontacts. We were not sure if we want to buy at that point. But shekept contact with us and kept us sending listings that helped us toknow the market and see what we really like. When we were ready to buyshe helped us through every step of the process. She gave us thecontact of a loan officer who was very efficient and provided us withcompetitive rates, she made sure we understand the home inspectionreports and disclosures, she was always with us during our propertyvisits and provided her valuable feedback. She never put any pressureon us at any point.When we were moving forward with the offer, she made sure to keep theproper contingencies in place and kept track of everything. She wasvery efficient in negotiating the offer for us based on someunexpected results of an inspection. She even gave us contacts ofcontractors and even negotiated the quotes they gave.Even after moving in, she is always available to help us withquestions which are of great help for first time home buyers like us.I recommend her to anyone and especially first time home buyers.

We had a great experience working with Shafaq for our home purchase. She took us through all the steps - pre approval, open houses, closing. She also helped us with things after the home closed like painting, flooring, handyman, etc She was very prompt to reply to emails/ texts and available at a short notice, which is important in such a competitive market. But, most importantly, she was not pushy. She gave suggestions for every matter, but we always had the option to go our own way. We got a particularly killer deal - under the list price, our very first bid and in the San Jose area, which is not easy to achieve in this market.

I found Shafaq through a friends referral. When I met her for the first time (on Zoom) she was kind enough to walk me through the whole house buying process which was just what I needed as a first time buyer. I could clearly tell shes passionate about her work and truly cares about helping me get the house of my dreams. Shes super responsive which is so important in this fast paced market. She was respectful of what we liked and disliked, and offered great advice on red flags vs improvements that could be made later. Couldnt have done it without her. Just the best all around!

We got lucky and met Shafaq at an open house at the start of our home search. The home we met her at, had some things we liked yet wasn’t “the house”. We worked with her to find the perfect home. I became acquainted with Shafaq at an open house and decided to engage her as my real estate agent. She knows the San Jose area very well and patiently guided me through the hot condo market, even providing help in reserve studies and other HOA documents. Getting back into the home buying market after many years was stressful and having owned only single family homes in the past I found the complexities of condos was a bit overwhelming. However, after several months with Shafaqs help I was able to find a home. There were some challenges during escrow and after move in but she remained logical and positive and in the end it all worked out.
