I would like to start off with a sincere “Thank You” to Jake Smoke with Tip Of The Spear Real Estate Team (Keller Williams Realty). I cannot say “without him, we would not have been able to buy a house”, but what I can say is…as first time homebuyers without experience nor much research time…it sure feels like we specifically needed him, and I give him (along with Kyle Melvin and his team at Aligned Mortgage) all the credit.We had a seemingly unique home buying experience in which Jake even learned a few things or had a slightly different experience as a real estate agent for our situation than what he has experienced in the past. Jake is widely versed in many different situations and never backs down from a challenge…he embraces it. In fact, challenging situations are as much rewarding and motivating for him as they are opportunities for him to continue his professional development.Jake is our guy…if (or perhaps when) we buy in the future!We highly valued Jake’s opinions and feedback…I asked him directly what he thinks we should consider as we progressed in each step of our home buying experience…I do not know if this is typically something real estate agents provide to buyers (or sellers alike) with respect to fair market responsibility. I do think an agent has an obligation to understand what the clients’ best interests are, and this includes being able to provide candid feedback to the clients’ questions, comments, and concerns…Jake did this for us, and we really appreciate it.As an example of how Jake truly looks after his clients’ best interests…he does this by understanding their situation, personality, and goals…he will expertly tailor his advise to the clients and he is accurate with his thoughts…I already determined what I believed to be his answer to my question since it was the same answer I came up with myself before he could reply. We purchased a home that we knew would require some work to renovate (being over 30 years old). I asked him what his thoughts were (not as a realtor) regarding our decision to either proceed with the purchase or look for something else…he understood me to be someone willing to put in work (somewhat “handy”) and provided unbiased feedback that the home could be a worthwhile investment for someone that is motivated to put in the work. But, he always made us feel confident and comfortable with making the decisions for ourselves and always reassured us of our options…in other words, he was not trying to convince us to purchase the house just so he could be part of a sale closing. We are happy with our purchase and I have already gotten to work on improvements.While he definitely understands the market, he also draws on his experiences outside of the real estate industry as well. Not only is he an agent, but he is a homeowner, just like all of you reading this review or those that are prospective first time homebuyers. Go with Jake!

I knew Brent as a friend before deciding to work with him professionally. When it was time to purchase our first house my wife and I never even considered for a moment it would be anyone other than Brent. Prior to buying our home, I was always impressed with Brents general knowledge of real estate and the home buying/selling business. It is a very complicated world, and one in which any number of people in the loop are out to get their cut and take advantage of the client. With Brent, it was fire and forget. Not for one moment was I worried I was being taken advantage of. And, because of his superb moral standards, Brent only chooses to work with quality professionals. When buying a house there are number of people that have to be involved from lenders to escrow companies. Brent was a one stop shop, he had recommendations ready for everything we needed, yet always stipulated that we were the boss, and we could use anyone we chose for any aspect of the transaction. I always dreaded buying my first house, having heard numerous horror stories. As it turns out the right agent makes all the difference, and Brent is most certainly the right agent. Once we found the one we wanted Brent immediately began the process and helped us get a couple things done on the new build before closing. As if his superior service in helping us get the house wasnt enough. Brent had another card up his sleeve. On our close date, I was away for two months training (Im a Marine). Brent drove to my old apartment and helped my wife pack it up and move it to our new house. Knowing that my wife had help gave piece of mind that one couldnt put a price tag on.So when it came time to sell the house, Brent was naturally our choice. During the selling process Brent recommended strategies and thoroughly researched the market and helped us make informed decisions. We closed escrow rapidly and at a great price. Brent even helped us navigate the rough waters of a difficult buyer. And he did it with grace.Brent is a consummate professional with great communications skills. He was always quick with a response when either called or emailed and always had the information I needed. I cannot think of ANY person in ANY industry I would recommend more highly than Brent.
