We interviewed multiple South Bay agents to sell our mothers home; we found Cari and Britt through glowing online reviews. We had an OUTSTANDING experience working with Cari Corbalis and can recommend her without any reservations. She was professional, forthright, patient and offered hands-on support when needed as we worked through the long and difficult task of selling our mother’s home.The end result was that we sold our family home for more than 100K over asking. The buyers’ financing hit a bump and Cari worked hard with the buyers team to save the deal, even when the buyers considered giving up. Cari worked with their team to keep open lines of communication. Escrow took a little longer but we eventually closed with the agreed to price.We cannot recommend Cari and Britt highly enough. The reason all these reviews on the websites are glowing is that they are talented, experienced, professional, and caring agents. They know the South Bay market well and they know how to support their clients thorough what can be a stressful time. Now all 4 of us siblings live outside the South Bay area and our only disappointment is that Cari and Britt can’t be our agents in our new hometowns!Here are some concrete examples of how Cari made our experience exceptional:- Cari was flexible in supporting our family’s needs. There were four adult siblings working to sell the house, scattered up and down the west coast. She was understanding of the fact that we all needed to work together to prepare the house for listing. We initially discussed selling our mother’s home when her health deteriorated however, after consulting with our tax accountant we then decided to rent the home for a period of time. Cari agreed to advise us, offering referrals to prep the home for the rental market, with a verbal agreement that when we eventually listed the house for sale that we would use her agency. Cari offered support as our mother got sicker and then helped us to prepare the house for sale more rapidly than we originally expected.-Cari works with a team of professionals. Britt, the other agent in this duo, steps in seamlessly to help when needed. Linda Proano is the team’s go to designer who helped plan and execute updates to the house, thereby increasing its market appeal. A mix of cosmetic and substantial updates brought the house out of the 90s and made it appeal to more contemporary buyers. In addition,Cari and Britt’s office and legal teams were always timely with paperwork. This was helpful since there were 4 co-trustees that needed to sign everything.-Cari is practically minded. Cari offered advice as to which particular updates she thought were worth the trouble and money. Cari worked with a landscaper to come up with a yard that would add curb appeal and then be maintained with minimal effort while we finished prepping the house for sale.-Cari is hands on when need be. When we had a plumbing leak during the remodel, she came with Linda to literally tear the carpet out and help with an insurance claim.-Cari impressed us with her forthrightness. She will work hard to do her best by her clients, but she always did things right by all parties involved. In her experience this offers the best opportunity for a deal to close with no animosity or potential trouble after the sale. We had a pre-inspection done to make sure there were no surprises in escrow. We addressed things we thought might be important, and noted the minor findings. When a bidder offered to waive inspection Cari sat down with the buyers and their agent to review our pre-inspection and our response to each finding even though this was not something they required.
