CCI Computer Jam, Inc.
1601 N Main St #103, Walnut Creek, CA 94596, United States
I love this computer store. I have been a customer of CCI computers for so many years I can’t remember how many. Frankly I don’t know what I’d do if I never met Rizwan so many years ago. I am a retired pilot and have always been a flight simulator enthusiast. Now in my retirement years I absolutely love the spectacular realism that is provided by today’s high-end flight simulation products. Using these high-end products requires a lot of computer upgrading and improving (the developers are always writing their new programs up to the standards of the very latest computers out on the market)--- over the years with the help of Rizwan and his technician Jonathan I’ve been able to remain on the cutting edge without going crazy and overspending. I recently built an absolutely top-notch superhigh quality superfast computer at CCI--- I found the specs for the computer in one of my flight simulator magazines and simply brought them to Riz he was able to build me one that was a little bit better than the one in the magazine for less than half the cost.Whatever have a computer problem I call CCI and for the most part there able to tell me how to fix it over the phone. If they can’t fix it over the phone the use a program like team viewer to go into my computer and see if they can’t fix it for me right then and there--- I am never charged for this “go to my PC”type of service so when I go to the shop I demand to be allowed to pay for that service. I force payment on them because I do not want them to ever go out of business-- I myself and the many friends who I have referred to them over the years would be totally lost if they were to cease to exist. I know that they are well-liked and respected in the community and whenever I am in the shop local business people as well as nonbusiness residence trail in one after the other with their small computer problems and Riz and Jonathan go about solving the problems--- always for a fair price by my estimation.CCI computers also performs the IT service for the company that my wife works for--- I wife has worked for this company for over 33 years and is extremely particular about who she recommends to her bosses --- years ago she recommended Riz to them and he is providing all their IT service ever since.I like Riz a lot, and consider him a personal friend due to the fact that I spent so much time over the years having them fix up my computers--- Riz is also an intelligent and erudite type of guy-- worldly in the extreme and I’m always looking for an opportunity to talk him into going to lunch with me.

Worst customer service experience Ive had in a long time. I know, I know, everyone in the world is trying to get an iPhone 6 at the same time. I do feel bad about the pressure these poor blue shirt-ed individuals are under at this time of year, but there really shouldnt be an excuse for the breakdown in civility. After checking stock figures online via apples iPhone app, and the website, I called the store number to confirm that it was worth my time to venture in. The person who answered the call said I should head on over as my desired item was in stock. 20 minutes later I appeared at the door and attempted to sign in. I was told flat out that there was no one that could help me, and that while it was 40 minutes before closing, Id have to come back tomorrow.I asked the keeper of the sign in sheet if they were sure, and explained that I had just phoned the store and was assured it was a good idea to come in. This is when a sub-par chain of events went from unfortunate to unacceptable. Amanda, the gatekeeper, told me I should have known that they wouldnt be able to help me. Dont you see all the people here? she asked with contempt. When I attempted to explain I called a matter of minute ago to confirm that it was worth it to stop by she looked at me like I had two head. I couldnt tell if she was accusing me of being a lier or an idiot, but she made me feel like I was out of line for expecting anything different. I guess I didnt get the memo that customer service at Apples retail stores currently sucks, and she was happy to fill me in. My bad.In the hopes that this was a blip, I asked to speak with a manager. I was eventually funneled over to manager Phil, whos vision of helping me was essentially to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Apple really couldnt be blamed here, and that I should just show up extra early tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed that things might work out next time. I gave him every chance I could to do anything other than argue with me, and to offer me something to make me feel like the whole evening wasnt a complete disaster, and he declined at every turn.Apple: making a product that everyone wants will only take you so far. If you cant figure out a way to staff your stores and to support your employees well enough to keep up with your own hype machine, youre going to be left with a lot of disgruntled customers looking for any way to avoid helping your bottom line in any way.Walnut Creek Apple Store Staff: Dont be mean. Going through this much effort to get a pocket computer is ridiculous. Please dont make it worse.

I was at the Walnut Creek Office Max getting ink cartridges and thought my laptop just went kaput. Its very old, quite a few generations. Dylan (ask for him) helped me pick a new one out, very knowledgeable young man. He builds computers. He also ordered an ink cartridge for me. Since it was less than the store price he looked up each cartridge and gave me the online price. Im very happy with the service I received.
