Many years ago, when the Corners building was being built, the design was absolutely beautiful with brick and concrete and featured a few great businesses like Tiffany’s and Va Da Vi. Unfortunately, the City of Walnut Creek got swayed by the power of Steve Jobs and allowed the Corners to be redesigned with the stainless steel monstrosity called Apple and the entire Corners project was officially ruined. That stupid Apple store was thankfully removed and was relocated across the street into its current location. I wish there were more trees and better landscaping but the building is simply amazing. The location is great and I come here frequently since I own an obscene amount of Apple products. It’s just a shame the police need to keep a constant presence so thieves will be somewhat deterred from breaking into the place. It feels like a flagship store. Ok I’m frustrated and annoyed but I’m loyal as Apple products rock and they have the best Connectivity. All that being said repair and AppleCare jus t dropped the ball. My iPhone 14 case did not protect my phone again. It’s what Apple made available when I bought the phone in May. So now my glass is cracked. I set an appointment easily in Walnut Creek. A 30 minutes Drive. My annoyance was the genius agent could not do the repair unless he erases the phone. Adding 15 more minutes. Now after that I am now waiting an hour for the phone. BTW Apple Maps said the store was across the street. I’m actually a vendor and shareholder too and this would not be tolerated by Apple if I annoyed the customer. I had to vent and share.

Went in because my bottom charging port wasn’t working and I needed help finding a file on my computer and wiping it.(I made an appointment for the genius bar specifically outlining my needs before my visit)The person helping me told me they had no idea why my bottom charging port wasn’t working and that they, nor anyone else in that store knows how to find files on the computer……..Then I asked them to refer me to someone who might have the knowledge to help me. The staff conferred and told me they don’t know a single service provider who can do what I’m asking.Now I’m no Tech wizard or anything, but I feel like I have a pretty reasonable request so what exactly is the point of the Apple genius bar if all they’re going to do is tell you, we don’t know how to help you and we don’t know anyone who can?

Im sure I came on a busy day and perhaps their system just hasnt updated online but I booked a shopping appt online and came in to the store only to be told they dont make shopping appointments anymore... so I had to wait with my toddler for an additional 40 minutes and when asked if they needed my name for the waitlist I was told they recognize clothing and someone will come get me. A guy came to help someone that came after me... very unorganized

Disappointing experience with this store after having multiple good experiences with the repair team.I’ve had my device repaired and replaced here twice without issue but recently ran into a problem where they are refusing the repair due to an issue with serial numbers. I’ve only ever had repairs/replacements at this location but unfortunately they incorrectly logged numbers so now I am out a 1200 phone.Both Tamara and Shaw the store manager have been professional but extremely unhelpful and seemingly unwilling to help in resolving any issues.They refused to acknowledge they could make a mistake calling it “nearly impossible”, I’d save yourself the headache and head to any other apple location for repairs and if you do decide to risk using this store make sure they print out exact records and show you they have correctly logged all serial numbers.

I could not find anywhere to give customer service feedback, so I hope a manager will see this. She should be commended. I called a different apple store earlier and was basically offered no help in a condescending tone.

Poor customer service. There charging cords don’t last and even tho your cord is in warranty they will look for away to get you to pay for another cord. Apple is one of the MOST unethical companies in America/ whatever other countries they are exploiting. My 5 year old couldn’t use the restroom. Typical their restroom is always available to customers. The rep heard my 5 year older crying to go to the restroom and he pointed for us to go down the the street.

Incompetent shady employees. They don’t what there doing. I found out there was another to transfer the money to cash from my ID. and it didn’t have to do with ITunes. Plus I still have a compromised email account and never retrieved or got reimbursed for my yearly subscriptions of iCloud + and Apple care +. And a year subscription worth of a $100 from the App Store. He did a factory reset with his computer. Never got a receipt. Went back cause problem persist and asked for a different phone and upgraded to the same make and model suggested by the employee. WHO THEN SET UP MY PHONE PARTIALLY STILL NEVER RESOLVING THE PROBLEM OF THE ICLOUD EMAIL THAT NEVER GOT ERASED BECAUSE IT HAD A FEW CENTS LEFT WHEN IT HAD 43$ . THEN shared his apple suooort syncing it to my new phone. It shows up under contacts as apple support with a group icon and under information it says ME? I want my complete refund from this phone. I have another thing called featured flags for developers to hack their way into my phone

They fixed my MacBook, they were super nice and did their job well!I had my fiancé drop it off for me and when I went to pick it up they made sure that it was my laptop by having me type in the password before letting me leave with it! GREAT JOB!

I purchased the AirPods Pro and they’re on par with gas station earbuds when compared to the new Bose QuietComfort earbuds I switched to. I’m never wasting my money on Apple earbuds ever again. The iPhone and MacBook Air are great products

I called for help to a 800 number to speak with someone. An appointment was made for a visit to an Apple desk or something at a Best Buy. They could not help with my problem. I was sent to an Apple Store instead. Waited one half of an hour. Finally I got attention from an employee. I showed my problem and was essentially told that my problem would be solved in about a week. That being said, I had already waited for over 2 months for this to be resolved. I gave up and made a call to a help center of some sort. We went through my problem for over 2 hours. I was sent to 4 different people who had no solution. Finally I spoke with Mike who did not know how to resolve this problem. He offered me 5 free iTunes movie rentals until this was resolved. I wanted my iPad to play the 2000 songs that I had purchased. No fix was made. I wanted this fixed a.s.a.p! I was done waiting. Essentially I was to be notified when this was solved. No call or solution was made. So I made another call today. Finally after the wonderful help from the kind woman I spoke with the problem was solved. I am waiting to get my promised movie rentals now. I should receive a call from someone TOMORROW regarding my 5 free iTunes rentals. This needs to be addressed. Oh Mike essentially hung up on me because he was not giving me the 5 iTunes movie credits I was to be given. My phone records are capable of recording the fact that Mike eventually hung up on me. Apple products are great, just not the phone assistants. I want my iTunes movie rentals.

My husband and I went to the Walnut Creek Apple Store to return two items. We explained to a customer associate that I received them as gifts and I wanted to return them and wait for new products, which will release next month. As an experienced customer rep., she should understand it’s a return gift, not return purchase; there are different ways to handle a refund. Instead she did not clarify or ask anything, but told me to type in my email address for a receipt, then she refunded to the credit card that originally purchased the gifts.I lost my gifts! When I asked her where’s the refund? She told me that was the only way they could do, it because they might be stolen items. Didn’t she see the two items with the my name and shipping address on the packages that I brought in, as well as receipt and tracking email from the original Apple Store. She not only insulted the customer, also showed she didn’t have any customer service skill, nor common sense - not deserved to work for “Apple “. When this incident was brought to a weekend store manager, named Chris, we didn’t hear any apologies from him, but cold words: “nothing I can do”. Both staff and manager need better training. They ruined the “ Apple“ reputation. No wonder there are so many negative comments for the Apple Store Walnut Creek on the Yelp. I guess culture changes in the United States. Since there are many “0” $ purchases happening, there’s no such things of returning gifts, theres no trust between businesses and customers. What a society!

Worst experience with service I ever had. I scheduled an appointment for my iPhone repair. When I arrived on time a guy tells me that I have been bumped to the next day because service is very busy. That’s frustrating already because Apple could have send me a message in advance to save me the trip. But that was not yet the end. In my way home I finallyI get a message that service is ready for me and if I don’t show up right away I will loose my place in line. 2 stars cause I was idiotic enough to walk in the back door and not sign in and really not connect with anyone to buy an Apple Watch. After 40 minutes I had to leave watch-less… but honestly the system is probably fine just so as you know how it works, which now I do. 1. State clearly “I am here to buy a watch today, and it’s my last chance so get me on a list or something” 2. Walk round the building and find the biggest door where you are going to fine the person that can check you in cause if you get past that person then there no way you will get your goodies

It’s interesting that on Yelp this store has a 2.6 rating while on Google it’s higher. From my experience with both the Apple products and the service at this store, the lower number is more appropriate. My $7000 MacBook broke after less than two years of limited use.The service personnel were rude and arrogant.Once I picked up my repaired MacBook and brought it home, I found that the repair personnel had not deleted their Apple account. Thus I could not login to my computer, and now I have to go back to the store to have them delete their account so that I could set up my computer again.I switched from PC to Apple more than 30 years ago in order to avoid bad products and bad service. I am now thinking about going back to PC.

The insides were gorgeous! They had what felt like an unlimited number of displays for various models of Apple Watch, iPhone, and MacBooks. Unfortunately, they didnt sell many accessories beyond the Apple first-party accessories, and they only displayed this-generation hardware, none of the other devices that they sell, such as the iPhone 13 at the time of writing. Additionally, they didnt have any refurbished models to show off, and many of the devices have been well-worn by customers. In particular, some of the Pro Max iPhone screens had been heavily marked up by the months of use by patrons.The location was clean and quiet, and every display was functional with nothing being outright broken or non-functional. The security mechanisms were well-hidden and managed to keep everything nest without getting in the way. They allowed most devices to be moved from their spots enough to wear or get the feel of the weight, such as the MacBook Air models that they have. The store was also very bright with lots of natural lighting thanks to the 360° floor-to-ceiling glass windows surrounding the establishment.

Came in early at 4:40pm for a scheduled 5pm appointment for help navigating how to transfer my photos and music onto an external hard drive as my attempts continued to give a system error notifications. The staff stated they couldn’t help me with this as it would take too long because they close at 6pm. Said the only help they could give was setting me up with technical support over the phone at a time of my choosing. Such a waste, more worried about getting off work on time then to even try to start to help me with my issue. The frustration of navigating the already poor designed iOS system that is the transfer of personal data without wanting to break the phone in the moment.Losing customers apple. Keep changing your system and people will change providers. Why continue to reinvent the wheel if it works. I swear your updates just force people into having to upgrade. This iPhone is going up for target proactive.

Its a beautiful store. It is the closest Apple Store to me. Usually when i want to try out the new products I come here. Also, good selection of Apple products. If you have the ability, the Macbook Pro M1 Pro series laptops are AMAZING!! Great for photo and video editing. The BEST investment for my photography business for sure!!Friendly service. Just wish that there is a police presence here since it is one of the places hit recently by a brash of degenerates thinking they can get away with it.

The wait can be long as they are pretty busy (15-25 mins after your appointment time), but once they get to you their customer service is great as they will do everything to help you! They helped us transfer data onto a new phone and also pick out a Macbook. Make sure to book an appointment.

The manager at WC branch better get his employees to want to help customers. I went into the store and 8 employees were standing around talking to each other in pairs. I have been to this store twice now and who you get to help you can make or break your experience. I went in a month ago and planned on getting a new iphone and watch. The person helping me was NO help and I walked out of there within 10 minutes with nothing. I went back today and Jacob was AMAZING! So helpful, informative and patient. He worked with me to get a new phone and watch. If every employee working at this store was like Jacob I am convinced their sales would be 2x better.

Honestly I am very disappointed with the evolution of the Apple stores. They used to be the absolute best thing in retail. The invention of the genius club was amazing and what cemented my loyalty to Apple products. With excitement! The most valuable feature of the Genius club was to be able to drop by or make an appointment and have a tutor on so many ways to use the product. Now it does not seem to be possible any more. They push you to call or to check on YouTube. No more face-to-face. Sometimes it is not convenient to have a remote conversation with a tutor. Sometime I can’t find my iMovie question on YouTube. Horrible customer service! I wouldnt put a rude, gruff person at the door to give the bad news that you cant come in and shop even though the store is empty. I knew what I wanted, didnt need to touch anything, or ask questions yet I was basically told to go away and not politely. I did not know you have to make an appointment to shop, so it would have been nice to explain this politely and tell me how to go about making one, not just saying- you need to do that yourself. There were 18 employees standing around doing NOTHING and not one could help me. The man kept looking past me to make it clear he was done with me, even though there wasnt anyone behind me waiting. I ended up calling customer service who very politely told me the next appointment was in a week. Im glad Apple is doing so well that they can pay 18 people to stand around doing nothing and turn customers away. Maybe put a nice person at the door so you can have a reputation for great customer service instead of just for having over priced products.

I walked into this store on Monday in urgent need for quick help. I was helped by Mike and was given some of the best customer service I have ever received. He was quick, which I had requested, thorough and very helpful. I haven’t bought anything at this store per say, but the few times I’ve been I’ve always (for the most part) been greeted with friendliness and great energy from some of the outdoor staff. Want to especially point out one employee, Mike. So friendly, chats with you about the product, offers out of this world service, I’m a first time Macbook purchaser and I felt a sense of loyalty to this specific store because of Mike. He wasn’t afraid of saying he didn’t know something, suggested I get more than one opinion so I could make a decision I felt most right for me. While still being very knowledgeable about what he spoke about. It made me trust him more and want to be serviced by him any other time I went there. To my great disappointment, the day I am ready to purchase they are out of stock of the product I want and if I didn’t need it so urgently, I would order from this store. Came here with an appointment to purchase a phone for my mom. I arrived on time but it was a little busy so I had to wait a bit. Not a problem but worth noting. The manager or floor supervisor type person checked me in and advised I was next but would need to wait for a agent to finish with their current customers. A few minutes passed and the manager came over and apologized for the wait. When our agent came over he introduced himself and thanked us for our patience. I had had a bad experience at an at&t store earlier in the day. The salesperson kept trying to add things on, like home internet & TV, instead of focusing on our reason for coming. So thats why I headed to the apple store. Personally I am not a super apple fan. I dont dislike them Ive owned ipods and macs in the past. I also own an iPad, it was gifted to me though. So I havent spent a lot of time in an apple store. So after my at&t store experience earlier I was pleased with how I was being treated already. I explained our experience trying to upgrade my moms phone and how it became an ordeal and she decided she wanted to buy the phone outright. Miles empathized with our situation and asked a few more questions about color & accessories. She asked for a screen protector and case. This is another impressive thing. Since she was buying an older model Miles said they didnt really have cases for her model unless she wanted clear plastic. He said Amazon had numerous to choose from and suggested her to buy from them. He got the phone and protector my mom paid and Miles set up the phone and protector. Easy peasy no upsetting. Just good customer service. Before we left he thanked us again for being patient and for the purchase. I am impressed.

UPDATE: I added the photo of the initial laptop (with silver/reflective logo) that was given to me by an employee at the Apple store in downtown Walnut Creek. The Tiffany blue one (with lighted Apple logo) is mine. This presented a great opportunity for thieves...My laptop is still not working ~ I actually do not believe anything was repaired on it.Also, when the Apple technician called out my name for pick-up, he gave me someone elses laptop computer, (I took a photo for proof) which was stored under my name. The technician assisting me was rude to me when I bluntly informed his colleague that I needed to get to work- because his colleague interrupted and spoke over me multiple times, never saying excuse me.Im really disappointed that I wasted trips to the store and my laptop is still not working. Would somebody please explain to my why Apples service is considered so stellar? This location -- admittedly a carbon clone for every other Apple store insofar as service support is concerned -- lives up in providing service on a timescale that has no respect for my time. In the latest visit (just like every other Apple store visit Ive had elsewhere), I had a 1:30pm appointment, was taken to wait at a table at 1:45pm, and finally saw an Apple genius(?) at 1:55pm. On a positive side there was no lines on Sunday and huge sales team hanging out in a store (although mostly talking to each other and not paying much attention to customers). Needed to buy a spare charger for the latest MacBook Pro 14.2”, asked the salesman to double-checked that it would work with my laptop (he assured me it would), paid $79, drove home to discover it’s not compatible. Wasted over an hour. All could be avoidable with trained personnel or identical chargers or indication on a box what laptop each charger is compatible with.

Great store. Staff are super attentive from the moment you walk through the door. Im usually matched up with a sales rep. within 5-10 minutes. The wait for the genius bar isnt too long, but it is an extremely crowded store at all times. Depending on what youre looking for a typically visit here takes anywhere from 10 - 40 minutes. The way this Apple store schedules their repair appointments is very irritating. It’s very irritating because in my experience I had an appointment at 7:40 pm to have my cracked screen repaired(the store knows this because you have to select a reason for appointment) yet when I got to the store I was told they would be unable to fix the screen because it was too close to the store closing(9:00 pm) and that I had two options, 1.) Leave my phone overnight and come retrieve the following morning at 11:00 am (an hour after the store opens for the day) 2.) The store would reserve a screen for up to 5 days and I could come back with no appointment necessary to have the screen fixed... I opted for option 2 and went back the following day and waited 45 minutes for them to fix the screen. I give them a 1 star because I feel they should not schedule repair appointments that late knowing they would be unable to fix a phone and advertise same day repairs. Staff was friendly and informed.

I cracked the screen on my iPhone and made an appointment with this specific Apple store because it repairs cracked screens same day, as stated on the Apple website. I left work early and drove an hour and a half to make my appointment. When I arrived, the associate said they werent going to be able to repair my phone, as they had reached their limit of repairs for the day, and that I could leave my phone overnight or bring it back the next day, neither of which I could do due to the sheer distance and time it takes me to get there. I can understand that they reached their limit of repairs they could make in a day, what I cannot and will not understand is that I wasnt a) warned beforehand, when making the appointment, that this could happen or b) notified once they reached their limit of repairs.

The only way to navigate any Apple Store is to make an appointment! Come prepared for a short wait and be ready for your appointment. The technicians have always been helpful, knowledgeable, personable and patience. You can also order what you need online and pick it up and avoid waiting at all. It just the parking that gets you. Given that this location is moving to the new one across the street, I was told they wouldnt be able to help me should the phone need some fixing or replacements. Since my phone died and wouldnt turn back on, most likely it will need to get replaced. If so, I will need to set an appointment next week. Then was asked, so what do you want to do? So I asked for someone to at least run some diagnosis. Few minutes later, technician met up with me and started the diagnosis. Found out that the phone wouldnt turn back on so something got fried due to various reasons, such as overheating, water, or any other abuse. Unfortunately, I cannot prove to them that I didnt abuse my phone, I am out of luck! And since the 1-year warranty expired a month ago (which I think so convenient to have this problem after the fact), I will need to pay over $300 to get it replaced through them or go to my phone carriers insurance. I was so disappointed for not getting any kind of consideration for this expensive phone! I am done with Apple! I am switching to anything better than this!

Went to the Apple store this morning to purchase a MacBook Pro and an iPhone6Plus. I have to say that it was a great experience. The store was packed and so there was a small wait but when person was free to help they came right over. The experience was fabulous! My wife and I had questions and needed some clarifications. There were many employees standing around and I was informed that I had to wait 3 hours for someone to look at it- which was not an option. My home screen was defective and I couldnt unlock or turn off my phone. I went there not having expectations and nervousness because I had never had to replace my phone before. From reading the reviews on Google+ I was a bit weary.When I got there, I spoke with Sharon (she was at the front door) and she informed me that Normally, I would have to wait because I dont have an appointment, but because my phone was inoperable, they will try their best to help me. She took me to Rubin, a really nice and knowledgeable associate. Rubin was able to get me an appointment in about 1 hour wait. So I had time to kill at the mall area. This is the closest Apple store I have in my area but have gone in there multiple times for different scenarios. Went in today after I had spoke to technical support through the 1(800) myapple customer service line. Explained to tech support about what had happened. Explained that I dropped my phone in the pool in about 2 feet area for less than 20 seconds. I picked up the phone immediately and put it in rice for a full day. The device did not turn on at all for a couple days. Tech support told me that the phone was IP68 which was splash or water resistant and was 2meters and 30min tested. When I walked in to the store for my appointment today. The rep asked me what I was in for today so I explained and automatically he said they did not do manufacture warranty exchanges for liquid damage at this location. After the manager Amy came to explain that the company did not cover liquid damage for warranty exchanges. I asked her if this was a store policy or company policy. She answered yes they DO NOT do water manufactures warranty for liquid damage. I after showed her reviews about Apple online that a different person had the same situation but in Florida. They did get a manufactures warranty exchange for liquid damage person stating the exact scenario. Amy the manager then stated that with water damage they are grey areas?? I told her I would contact her direct point of contact manager then send a letter to CEO Tim Cook about this matter.

The original store was the best. Bad experience from day 1... 1. The store seems to be more 1 size fits all approach which is the worst way for apple to present itself. That especially goes for the “Genius Bar”. There really was a time where the “Genius Bar” was impressive, and they actually solvers a problem using their personal knowledge of Apple. For example, iPhone, the battery was defective, was expanding, thus putting pressure on the casing, raising the glass up until it wouldn’t turn on. Raisers the glass so much that you could see inside the phone a bit. Take it in. The “Genious” pretty agrees it’s most likely the battery, if so they will replace it with the same model. Comes back and blames it on the phone being dropped, even claiming 3 or there also agrees he said. This was insane. To wrap Thai up, I go outside open the phone myself, it’s the battery, show him, but now because I opened the phone they would not exchange it? Admitting it’s the battery oddly this debate lasted awhile with no outcome. I take it home, which they warn against if battery is damaged, Buy a battery online, fix it myself, take it over just to prove how bad they are. Before that they did a firmware restart on my phone and i ask to look the computer over. I get it back missing 12 screw and the nvme not screwed in. I could go on and on. It’s a bad store.

This is a combined review of Apple and this store and to be fair, the people were polite. The 2 stars is because of a couple of reasons. My phone wouldnt turn on at all but iTunes would recognize it. The first time I went they told me I would have to wait 2 weeks for a battery and maybe have to get a new screen. Already annoying that they would put me in the same queue as people with working phones but whatever. Instead I had to wait 3 1/2 weeks before I actually got an email that they got it. When I get there, the attendants couldnt be bothered to read what the previous attendant wrote so they didnt do everything that was promised. Changing the battery didnt fix the issue and they wouldnt try any other steps. They said the phone didnt respond to anything but when I got home and plugged it in my PC, the PC recognized it immediately! They were about to charge me for a new phone and throw away my old one for nothing! Maybe my phone isnt fixable but I lost a lot of confidence in this store and Apple. Im just glad I didnt let them keep my old phone when they asked.

I had an appointment yet I still had a ridiculously long wait and my apple genius was not only worthless in terms of solving my problem but rude and arrogant as well. The entire staff sremed like they didnt want to be there. The whole experience made me seriously rethink purchasing Apple products in the future. Compared to the tech support and customer service I have received from Amazon in the past Apple services are a pathetic joke in comparison.

This place can get super busy probably because of its location and service you get but Everytime Ive been there busy or not you always get superb help about your product or whatever questions you might have in regards to apple. You might have to be a little patient and wait in line a bit though especially if you dont have an appointment. The layout is super cool the building is mammoth two large wrap around sides instead of just one mouse box that most other apple stores have. They host a lot of hands on device trainings at this location. I thought I knew a lot about apple devices but after seeing some capabilities I had no clue about blew my mind. This is by far one of my favorite apple locations and by the amount of people there everyone elses as well.

This might be the most disappointing experience I’ve ever had at an Apple store. Lots of procedural changes due to COVID-19 but there’s no person or signage or anything giving directions. I’m trying to figure out where to pickup my order that I’ve already paid for and am sent bouncing between the two entrances. No clear explanation what was going on as they took my temperature or what to do after that so I got yelled at for trying to walk inside. Just tell me where to go then! No one is social distancing. Overall, just a lot of concerns that I’ve not experienced elsewhere. Communication and safety are really important right now and this location doesn’t seem to be doing either very well. Order for delivery or check out a different location.

Today I purchased a laptop with David and I was extremely satisfied with my purchase. Right away I felt comfortable with David as my knowledge with computers isin’t that great and He explained the differences and compared other models for me, recommended by GB and quality etc and stayed with my budget. I usually don’t write reviews because I only like to be positive. My experience in the Walnut Creek location wasn’t the best for me. The employees aren’t very friendly and they don’t want you to do walk-ins either. I walked in at 7:30ish and was told my wait was a hour and half and i said okay, she then said i might not be helped even if I wait. Due to they close at 9pm. This is my first and will be my last time at this location. One of the rudest things to do is tell a customer your on a list but we close when it’s your turn. Teach better customer service please!!

If there’s any less stars I would give it. We had our less than a year iphone died suddenly yesterday, so we went to this store as walk ins to seek diagnosis. We we told that they don’t have availability for today, but i asked the customer service if we can wait for any cancellation to get in and we askedto see a manager. We were lucky to see a tech who decided phone won’t be on again and we have to pay $300. The leader discounted the amount to $150 as if she made a favor disregarding the fact that we lost most of our data. When we asked for a superior, she said there’s no one. We asked for her business card, but she denied it and when we insisted, she gave us her contact number and promised to call the next day, but she never did. We called her and the store multiple times, but they refused to decide a specific time to call and solve the problem. The problem still unsolved and no body called.Overall, they can fit you in their busy schedule, but your problem won’t be solved, promises won’t be fulfilled, and managered won’t be reached.I believe other phone companies deserve a chance not for their wonderful products, but to avoid the horrible customer service of Apple team.

I called the number three times while in the store lobby (the automated message voice response didn’t understand when I said the serial number the first 2 times) only to be told that Apple care doesn’t apply to me. Well, today my brand new iphone was supposed to be delivered. I was excited and got a msg saying my order has been shipped and will be delivered by 2:14 pm but a guy came by and did something on his phone and made a u-turn and drive away. When a customer drops off their iMac and leaves their power cable attached to it. Either attempt to hang on to the cable or make sure the customer collects their power cable before leaving. At least mention at least once to the customer at some point that their power cable should be collected before leaving. If a customer claims that their power cable was left behind and that they were never informed that it should have been collected before leaving them DO NOT ARGUE WITH THE CUSTOMER. DO NOT IMPLY OR INSINUATE THAT THE CUSTOMER IS LYING. GET YOUR SUPERVISOR. I was humiliated by 2 of your employees upon collection of my iMac. I will never do business with this location ever again. Worst customer service experience Ive had in a long time. I know, I know, everyone in the world is trying to get an iPhone 6 at the same time. Customer service is very weak. Most recent example was when I tried to drop off my iPhone5 to be returned to Apple to fix the power button defect. Followed the Apple online instructions 100% and stopped in the store to drop off my phone. Was told I had to wait in a line of 8 people to talk to one specific technician. Fantastic.Took my aging Macbook Pro in for repairs. $200 bill for a trackpad and new hard drive. When I got the machine home the screen wouldnt illuminate. I called Apple Care, they reopened my case and said to drop it by ASAP.3 days later its fixed with a brand new screen valued at $500+. Did I mention its out of Warranty?! I came in to see J at the Genius Bar for what ended up to be a very simple issue (isnt that always the way?). I also came in to get some help figuring out why my devices are not syncing iCal like theyre supposed to.The first issue J fixed right away - it was simple. Finally I talked to the scheduling lady, who told me he had gone on his break, but hed be back soon. So I waited some more. I asked one of the other peeps in blue shirts there if they could help me with this second issue, and they just repeated that J will be back soon.Finally, I gave up.... and right then, he resurfaced. I was so mad and frustrated that I told the scheduling lady I was leaving (she mumbled something about being sorry).... and I left.In general, I get great customer service out of Apple (usually over the phone); it is one of my main reasons for sticking with them. But this was terrible, the worst Ive ever experienced. You dont go on your break when youve got a customer waiting! At the least, you check in with your customers youre helping and tell them whats up, i.e. he should have checked in with me to see how I was going before going on his break. That is customer service 101.I will definitely be complaining directly to the store, cause that is not up to Apples standards. And if it is, then Apple sucks.

If I could give this store a negative star or a burn in hell I would.After being made to wait 15 minutes after my appointment time that was scheduled the day before (not a bad wait but I had to feed the meter $3) I was told it would be $75 plus tax for a new battery. After waiting 15 min they come and tell me that the replacement didnt work and they were giving me a brand new phone since it was a manufacture error. So I wait (another 5 min), he comes back and the phone is dead but the SIM card is in. He tells me this is how new phones come, I say Not one of my Iphones have ever come totally dead He tells me again that this is from the manufacture, never used thats why there is no power. I paid the $78 and try to charge the phone in the store while I wait for him to come back with a receipt. he never does, so I ask someone else. A girl goes and gets it for me and I ask her, this paper says everything that was done right? it has that I revived a brand new phone after the battery replacement failed right? she says yes. So I drive home charging my phone and sure enough when it turns on, someones babys picture is on the lock screen, its a 6 digit pass code (mine was 4), and NOT A NEW PHONE. Let alone one I can use! After wasting my Friday night and now Ill have to go in tomorrow when I have work events to do that I had to make calls for tonight and I CANT DO ANYTHING! After all the times I said are you sure? and this still happened, I. Am. Furious. Oh, And the paperwork did not say any of this, it said they only replaced the battery. I have concluded that Apple simply does NOT support their products. Or maybe it’s only the WC store. Last year I took my IPhone 4 to the WC store, because it was having “issues.” I had used the phone for about 8 months. Surprising, they found it to be defective and replaced it – no charge. I was very pleased. Four months later, I took the “new replacement” back to the store because it was overheating, and the wi-fi switch in the settings mode was greyed out. The kid that helped me said that it was defective, and it shouldn’t be a problem to replace it. He then went off to speak with the manager. Upon his return, he explained to me that the warranty had expired (on a phone that was only 4 months old!) because the warranty began at the date of the purchase of my original, defective, phone, not the new replacement. Also, had I purchased the extended warranty, the new, defective phone would have been covered. Go figure - was I shocked! He appeared to be somewhat embarrassed, and had to deliver the bad news that his manager dictated. So, I guess I’m on my way to buy a Samsung.

Lets be honest Apple is going downhill since Steve Jobs passed and you can almost see it in the vibe of the company and employees.A crackberry addict for years I moved to Android just as their technology fell behind and for the most part I like Android, but I think mentally Ive prepared myself for my move to an Iphone, not sure which carrier Ill choose yet. Ive always liked Apple from a far, but never saw the real advantages for going with a Macbook/Air with the ipad and ipad mini. I do also however want to get another nano as Im tired of carrying my Android because it dies all the time, but the iphone may solve both those issues.Dub C as its called has the semi outdoor mall and the guys at the Genius bar are pretty good. I overheard them trouble shooting some customer issues that I had never heard of as I shop around, but its either Applephiles are pretentiously entitled in the product or they are just jerks. Drop your phone its your fault. Insurance or not, not everything can be fixed. Dont buy it if you cant afford to lose it or replace it. Thats life. Life has inconveniences, but no need to complain too bad or rep them on the reviews. Grow up Peter Pan. Be glad there is a warranty at all and from my experience its a pretty good one, but nothing is perfect.I wish they carrier more accessories, but everyone and their mama clones accessories. I wish they carrier Iphone compatible products like the online store. A lounge would be nice. Not Vape friendly. Staff is nice, courteous and knowledgeable, but that can only go so far with some customers unwilling to live in reality.

My most recent visit was to inquire about a simple data transfer process and software product information. The responses to my simple questions were condescending, arrogant, and dismissive. The rep did not even listen to the question before telling me to go to the website. It took four attempts before she finally took me to a product information page and rushed off to the customer next to me who I heard saying, This is my third time here and I need to solve my problem today, not come back again.I seldom write negative reviews, but I know I will not go back again either.

Hated it is an understatement. Im sorry to say Apple has really lost its touch. All my products are apple from my laptop to my cell phone. My phone was clearly showing signs of a manufacturer defect, it kept turning off and back on, on its own. This phone is the iphone 5 that they still sell for $700! Ive never paid so much money for something so unreliable. I buy apple products because I appreciate the way they take care of their customers but after this last experience I will not be spending any more money with apple. This phone has never been dropped or used with any devices that arent apple certified. This is also the second time that the phone acted up but they replaced it the first time because it was within their warranty. Their technicians said that since my phone is out of warranty now they could not replace it. They acknowledged that it was clearly a manufacturer defect but still wanted to charge me $300 to replace it. I couldnt afford to replace it because Im a college student and dont have that kind of expendable cash available so I had to leave and buy pre-paid phone from another provider. I dont have a problem spending money on quality items, but I wont spend money on poorly built products that break on their own. The worst part is that I just found out that most of these products are made overseas in sweatshops by laborers who are pushed beyond their means by their bosses in desperation to create more products for Apple without regard to quality. Apple has failed time after time when it comes to improving the standard of their manufacturers and its finally showing in their products.

Super cool Apple store! It was recently redone and has the new Genius Grove, along with an outdoor wifi area, not to mention the mall itself is a gorgeous outdoor mall! The service is always very respectful and relatively prompt. If it does take a while, just go see a movie, grab lunch at KoJa, or go shopping while you wait!

I just left the Apple store in Walnut Creek, CA. I had a new iphone 6 plus and needed to it set up and transfer all my music, icons, photos etc from my iphone 4S to my new phone. Curt spent over 45 minutes with me and was friendly, patient and very knowledgeable. Im glad I did not go to Verizon to have this done. There was no line, but even if there was, it still would be worth the wait.

The worst customer service in the history of retail stores.I have finally made the complete switch to Apple products (MacBook Pro, iPad and iPhone 6+) and when I recently had a defective cd drive on the MBP, they said it would take 3 to 5 days to get my MBP back because they didnt have the part. They gave me a 5 days window to bring it in and I thought they would order the CD drive - wrong thinking! - Had to re-schedule another 5 dfays window, backed-up my MBP and took it in for service, the extremely rude super long bearded technician genius?, asked me what I wanted without checking and realizing that I was dropping my MBP for repair, immediately replied we do not do things that way - I told him to check his iPad and then he said, oh, OK (no apologies for his rude behavior), took the MBP, printed a work order and said it would take 3 to 5 days to get it back. Never heard from them until I phoned Apple and waited on hold for a while, around 9pm and they said that they would let me know within 24 to 48 hours; at exactly 10pm, I received an email saying the product was ready to be picked up...Their system of one person directing people at the door, ONLY ONE PERSON CHECKING PEOPLE IN, listening to their whole problems (which is correct), but why only one of them doing this while they have a whole bunch of really cutesy young boys and girls walking and running around the store like happy butterflies flapping their wings... anyway, its ridiculous...I wish there was a way to give them super negative large number of negative stars...

Horrible. The kid that waited on me for a simple phone upgrade lost all my data. He simply did not back up my data in my old phone to my new phone. When I realized this I screeched, WHY???? (Im 56 with tons of pictures, of course). He said he assumed I had backed them up to my computer at home...who thinks/does this? I do back up so I had some but I expect a professional to ask me questions like, well, I dont know...Is your data backed up?????? Also, he didnt explain the plans to me so my ATT plan went up over $50 when it could have been avoided. I now have 2 days to undo that and I understand that it will include going there, paying a restock fee, returning the phone and going through the entire process again to undo what he did. Sigh...where do they get these people? Very disappointed in what should have been a simple upgrade. Plan shouldnt have changed and data should have been transferred. Biggest insult: Some Apple moron called my husband and said, Sorry for the data dump but we can offer your wife a free phone case... Really, a free case. Isnt that special. Sounds like they do this often and dont take it seriously at all.

Very long waits. Half of the staff I interacted with were very rude. Too much overt rivalry in the sales pitch for their phones and laptops. For example, iPhones are so much better than Samsung, and shirts that take jabs at Microsoft. Just seems petty.

This is the worst experience that I have had, I went to repair the Face ID camera and the associated or representative person Brian “fixed it” and asked me what else he can do for me and the phone still had the same problem and later he decided to change de camera and asked me to leave my phone until the next day, I asked him 3 times if my phone had the complete back up because a half an Hour before I purchased the 200GB in iCloud and he told me 3 times yes the back up is completed I already checked it, the next day I went to pick up my phone and half of my pictures was deleted permanently more than 2 years of pictures permanently deleted, part of my contacts deleted he couldn’t recuperate any of them, beside that my appointment was at 11:15 am y Checked in at the door at 11:06 am they asked me to wait, after 35 minutes waiting I went to check with other person that was at the door because no body came to help me and he told me that the previous person canceled my appointment by mistake, instead check me in, she canceled my appointment, so I had to wait 10 more minutes until someone can help me, a lady came Julieta and told me the bad news about loosing my info and told me lies she said the person who was trying to repair my phone had in his notes that he could not do the back up and I asked her to call that person Brian and he came and told me yes I remember when you asked me several times is the back up was made and complete and I said yes the back up is complete, I apologize for that inconvenience, there is no apologize when you lost to much info, my pictures for more than 2 years, all my trips, family reunions, my daughter picture since she was 1 year old and she is 4 now, her birthdays, everything and they didn’t even care, they tried to do everything in the fast way and they do big and huge mistakes if he was not sure about the back up he should tell me and I would wait to the next appointment to do the repair but not tell me the back up is completed and later apologize, I don’t do anything with your false apologies or sorries they didn’t even care, they don’t have the knowledge to do that type of job, this is the worst experience.

Came here to pick up new phone. General observation: its crazy busy all the time. Came at 8pm on a weekend and it took about 30 minutes to get in and out. Parking around this area is a nightmare. Would only come again if I was in the area for another reason. This store is one of the larger ones...with the large crowds to match

Employees dont approach you for help, then if you ask them for help they say you have to wait for an expert. The expert will then put your name on the wait list and after 20min someone will help you. All are pretty rude and just aiming to close a deal instead of answering any questions.

Has anyone seen the movie The Internship It gives an example of how Apple could benefit with a few employees over 40. Some of The kids they have working in Walnut Creek have Im superior and why dont you understand technology? attitude. The young lady that was assisting me could certainly benefit from some customer service training. Even when I pointed out to her that she had charged my credit card twice, she said I should learn how to process my credit card payment through my Apple account. Did she offer to show me how to do it? Of course not.More people over 40 have iPhones than Samsung. Keep that in mind when hiring.

To say the bridge was burnt is an understatement. From the staff at Broadway Plaza all the way to the unresponsiveness of management on the phone. I arrived at 8pm to get my iPod touch accelerometer fixed, and was told I would have to make an appointment to see the Genius Bar, the soonest appointment being the next day. I was already not liking the iSmug store, but as several games were rendered useless by my broken pod, I had figured I could come in the next day, which I had off.Next Day:I come in a few minutes early and waited at the genius bar for one of the MENSA members to acknowledge my presence, which only took 5 minutes, at which point I was told my name would be called. I brought my 5 year old, and he proceeded to play with Pads and Pods and had a jolly ol time while we waited about 10 more minutes to see the Genius. I was finally called to see a Genius, who didnt seem much smarter than the average person, but I didnt have my IQ App open to test her, so I can never be certain.Anyway, I think she could tell I wasnt too happy and she didnt give me any crap about the iPod being broken. She made me sign a thing saying that they might destroy my Apple product and all of its Data, and that Apple is never liable and that I was lucky even to own an Apple product, etc.I signed it, erased my iPod (I insisted, although I think they do it anyway) and she gave me the new one which is being formatted and restored, etc. right now, not more than 6 inches from this keyboard. The restoring and stuff was a bit of a pain, and some of the personal settings had to be restored, but its working now. I should say that the iPod is brilliant and a great product, but then again, it did cost almost 300 bucks, so it dang well better be something awesome, which it is.Ok Apple, I might, MIGHT, buy an iPhone, if and ONLY if, you make it available on Verizon and IF Verizon drops their idiotic Forced Data package crap. ( I am near WiFi all day and would be fine paying data by the MB). I would prefer to keep my 360 dollars a year instead of not up to par yet, 2 or 3G wireless.

My 17 year old son spent three hours at this store to have his phone assessed as to why it wouldnt even turn on, just to have them claim a two month old phone was not covered under warranty! His phone is in a protective leather case and their claim of water damage is ludicrous. What a horrendous way to treat a youth who tried to get help. Maybe it IS time to switch to Samsung!

I wanted to give it a zero star. The Genius Bar, I wonder where they got that name? My Macbook pro freezed twice within 2 weeks. The Genius guy named some Bob or something, told me that it was absolutely normal for a macbook pro to freeze twice a week. He got no skill at all, but selling stuffs. He did not even know how to check the hard disk. During 15 minutes he sold 5 hard drives to some old folks who obviously were not very good at computers, at pretty high price. I mean, do the genius have moral standards? If apple keep having this kind of junks work for them, their glorious days will soon come to an end.

I got great help from a specialist named Kia. She helped me on the phone to select the iphone 6 Plus that I wanted and to clear up an error from my phone carrier. She accompanied me through the process via conference call with Sprint. Kia was patient and clear in explaining the error to several different Sprint representatives, until we resolved the situation and I was able to purchase the phone of my dreams!
