Over the years we’ve brought in various business as well as personal computers in for service, repairs, upgrades, etc. Joe always exceeds our expectations. His work is excellent and fairly priced, and his turn around time always meets our needs.Whether it’s a MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Lenovo, HP, etc., Joe has extended the lives of our computers and saved us thousands of dollars in the process. He’s a professional as well as a great person to do business with. I recommend him highly and so will you!

I had a pretty awful experience with Avenue 18 computer and the owner.I had a waterdamged computer. I called and enquited about the 65 dollar diagnostic offer that they had and it was stated that they would check my commputer for 65 dollars to see what was wrong. I was very specific about only wanting basic diagnostics to see what worked and what didnt.The owner picked up my PC (in an old van that was not clean or organized). I do not remember even signing anything. After he left, i realized how much of a vulnerable spot I was in.He kept on mentioning replacing hardware, usb drives, etc - trying to do an up-sell. Whatever, thats fine, i declined.He said the system was zapped, but the hard drives were OK and the SSD had some errors. He told me he copied the contents of the SSD to one of the hard drives. (i didnt ask for that, but that was nice of him).He then sent an invoice when I declined further service. The invoice was listed as being $165! He charged $100 for Standard Field Service Labor. I dont know what that means, as the $65 covered all of the diagnostics that we agreed upon. However, since I had no contract form the start, it put me at a loss - he had my computer and my personal data. I had to pay up or else. Instead of apologizing and adjusting his error for overcharging, he insisted I pay for service not requested ($100 to transfer 128gb? Seriously?). I declined and he argued over text with me. I finally agreed to pay him $80 (which i dont think was reasonable, as it should have been $65 as my word is my word, and his should have been too). He deleted the data he backed up on my hard drive and made me wait an extra day.TL;DR - Dishonest. Agreed to $65 of service and he asked for $165 at time of invoice. I feel vulnerable violated that I trusted this guy with my personal data. Unprofessional. He has lost all trust.EDIT - My reply after owners response below: Im not blaming them for lost data or a damaged computer - Im blaming him and giving a 1 star because he charged me $100 more than we agreed upon. I dont question his technical ability, only his honesty.

He also stands behind his sales with a Computer Palace warranty on top of what is offered by the manufacturers. He is knowledgeable, helpful, and personable. He is happy to answer even the most basic computer questions.I recommend Computer Palace to everyone on L.A.s Westside who either needs their computer repaired or wants to find something new. It is refreshing to still be able to find a neighborhood computer store with great service, like Computer Palace.

Excellent service! I needed a battery for my 2019 MacBook Pro. Im pretty handy, so I youtubed how to replace the battery - forget it, its VERY complicated and a genius is needed. It would take almost a week for Apple to replace, but only took 24 hrs at Mac 911 (once I had the battery!). They supplied all the necessary information, were pleasant and my computer was returned with a new battery, and all cleaned up! Will definitely come back!!

I would 100% recommend his services to anyone needing to fix a PC. My computer had absolutely crashed and not only did he he completely fix it quickly and save all my files but I was blown away by his professionalism and honesty. He was upfront with the problems he saw and communicated what the potential outcomes would be from the outset. I cannot recommend his business enough for anyone that needs PC work done. My computer screen broked and I got new one from eBay. I called a lot of place to check prices just for services of change screen. Everyone give me high price and I finally called computer palace. They give me really affordable price, and when I came their place they were really friendly and they did really good job. He changed screen just in 15 munites. I really appreciated computer palace for being helpfull. Also, for new costumers, they have parking lot in back of shop.

The new location is really beautiful and has great customer service.
