Service technicians are indeed friendly. Heres the issue. Its 2019! Streaming tv shows & movies is how customers are utilizing the internet. In addition to working from home on laptops & computers. What appears obvious is complete surprise when internet speeds drop to a snail pace. Even when we werent home for 5 consecutive days, our account showed data being used. Oacys provided router is inaccessible to customer. You must call their office & give them your password. So, in 2019, this company THROTTLES SPEEDS & will unflinchingly reply that too much data is being used. As much as I dislike big internet providers, if you live in Porterville, stick with Spectrum.

Ordered tires/made appointment a week in advance. On the date of service, they claimed to not have the tires in when my wife dropped off the car. I called, they changed their minds and said they had the tires, just hadnt updated the computer. No problem, mistakes happen.They install the tires, my wife pays and picks it up. The cost is $30+ more than the estimate. Send wife back to inquire, they offer her a $50 oil change in exchange. I called again and declined, they refunded the difference in cash even thought the original payment was on a credit card....?Look, I can accept mistakes but come on, none of this was my fault. They erred twice on the same transaction and I had to note, take my time and fix their error twice. To top it off, they didnt even offer me any discount above what Id originally agreed to pay. Apparently their quality control are their customers.Ive had good luck with them prior to this however Ill pass them by next time, no need to deal with problems they create.

Great shop. Not a lot of mechanics I would ever trust these days to either A. Not rip you off and B. Know how to diagnose a vehicle without a computer telling you whats wrong. But, I would trust Melvins to work on any of my vehicles. Great place, fast service, knowledgeable mechanics.
