Car Lux is an absolute advertising scam!! The advertised prices are not honored. Ive experienced their deceptive marketing schemes first hand on two different occasions. They are able to achieve Their financial dishonesty most likely because they cater to individuals with less than perfect credit desperate to obtain a vehicle of any kind. This group is unwilling to file complaints with the California Department of Consumer Affairs.Im currently in contact with this governmental agency attempting to correct their dishonesty and Im also consulting with a law firm to bring justice to those whom they have taken advantage of. I spoke to several individuals claiming to be managers. Even if you offer to pay their advertise price in cash they will refuse to sell you the vehicle. This is a violation of both state and federal law and the Federal Trade Commission has also be informed. Its only a matter of time until their demise.

RUN don’t walk away from this agency! We just returned from a trip to Bangkok with add on trips to Phuket snd Hong Kong. They are completely disorganized and only interested in making as much money from their customers as possible. We booked this trip at least 6 months in advance snd finally received our itinerary shortly before the trip. We received no info about our flights to Phuket snd Hong Kong except flight numbers. After requesting more info about the flights I was told I would receive the info from my local guides. It turned out these flights were discount airlines which had very restrictive baggage rules. It turned out we had to pay an additional $150 in baggage fees because we were not told that discount airlines would be used and did not pack accordingly.In addition, the Phuket and Hong Kong add ons were advertised as three day trips. They were NOT three day trips. We arrived in Hong Kong at 11:00PM the first day and left at 8:30 AM the third day. This was a one day visit. Had we known we would have planned these trips on our own and would have enjoyed more days and spent much less money.The flights they booked for us had huge layover times in one case 8 hours. Awful!!Also, just about 10 days before the trip I received an email from Intertrips that we had to pay a $120 “service fee” for local guides. This info was not in the original agreement. I felt intimidated into paying this fee as I didn’t want our trip to be canceled. This was completely unfair. It was not our job to pay the guides. And as it turned out these guides did nothing but accompany the transfer driver. They did not in any way serve as guides and in some cases spoke English so poorly we were not able to communicate with them at all. Some of them arrived late to meet us at the airport and we had to wait hoping they would show up.Although the three cities we visited were amazing, this agency was truly a scam. Please avoid if you want a well-planned itinerary at a fair price.
