Go literally anywhere else. I tried working with them and wouldn’t let me get numbers without a credit app I told them cash and they still required a credit app which is unnecessary and unethical. They use bait and switch tactics. When I finally did get a “ball park” number it was 5k over asking price. Then refused to show me what all the extra fees were. This place is classic used car sales. Just avoid. Ended up finding a dealership that was reasonable and bought a car with no hassle and transparency.

These guys are shady. They advertise cars low so they can get a better rating on the apps they are on. Then when you get to signing the documents on the sale they jack up the price 4k for so called accessories. The same ones on the advertised price. Dont work with these guys. Waste of time and energy. More scam artists. Just not good at it.

Recently visited Car Lux Dealership with the intention of purchasing a new vehicle. While the initial service appeared promising, I was quickly disillusioned by the dealerships aggressive push to upsell overpriced accessories. Despite my clear indication of needs and budget, the sales tactics employed were not only unyielding but felt manipulative, significantly overshadowing what should have been an exciting milestone.Transparency and honesty are qualities one would expect in such transactions, yet my experience was marred by a blatant attempt to inflate the final price beyond reasonable expectation. Its disheartening to witness a reputable establishment resort to such practices, preying on consumers lack of industry knowledge.I hoped for a partnership where my needs and financial boundaries were respected, not an adversarial negotiation that leaves one feeling undervalued and exploited. Prospective buyers should proceed with caution and arm themselves with research to avoid being overwhelmed by unnecessary and costly add-ons.While the quality of the vehicles may not be in question, the integrity of the sales process certainly is. Its a reminder that your hard-earned money should be spent where it is valued, and unfortunately, based on my experience, Car Lux has fallen short of earning that privilege.

My fiance and I went in yesterday to Car Lux with a car already in mind that we seen online. The description given was excellent so we needed to check it out in person .We test drove it. If I could give Zero I would. The 1 Star ratings on here I totally get. I reached out ten days ago and never once received a call. I finally broke down and called and requested to speak to a salesman. I was not impressed with the first woman I spoke too, she was too interested in telling me what I could not do. The second guy was okay at first other that he didnt know what a Chevy 1500 was.....this was after I gave him the stock number. He tells me it is available, I say okay whats the out the door price....no tax because Im from NY. He tells me $25,000.....it,s listed for just under $18,000 which I would have paid. Talk about baiting people that dont read the fine print. I called him on the price and told him he must be crazy... he then hung up on me. What a bunch of crooked SOBs.

Advice: do not buy a car from here.Bought a car for $10,500.Within a month the brake vacuum pump was broken (clear signs that it was glued together as a temporary solution) and oil was leaking everywhere. The engine was nearly lit on fire. The oxygen sensor also had to be changed. Total cost: $600.Within two months of buying the car, the car started making a rattling noise. Things that needed to be changed: the front strut replacement, the rear shock replacement and the sway bar link have to be changed. Total cost: $2,000.My advice would be not buy a car from this place. If youre going to buy a car run it through a pre-purchase inspection at least.

Horrible place DO NOT GO! Will have you waste your time, car wont be ready, will try to sell you cars that have unfixed problems, and at the end will add on crazy dealership fees that they claim is law BUT is not. Also overheard the boss talking about how he was selling a car that should not be sold due to issues with the car. Will laugh in your face if you bring up any issues too. Highly unethical place that will sell you a broken car without a car in the world. Scammers!

Esteban: The unprofessional salesmanWent down to the dealership to check out a used manual 335i. Granted I went in without an appointment, I just wanted to see what the exterior of the vehicle looked like at least. Was greeted by Esteban only to have the worst experience. Esteban tried playing the “super helpful role” as he “missed his team meeting” to help me out. Again, without an appointment, I wasn’t in a rush, I’ve worked retail and rent cars, I know how tedious it is to wait for someone looking at a vehicle and potentially having questions abt said vehicle. I understood and I had seen a few cars I was interested in looking at as well. I told him to join his meeting, I wanted to look at the vehicles on the lot before even talking about prices, credit history, etc. A very money hungry salesman. He wanted me to run my credit to secure numbers before even test driving the vehicle.The entire time, he just kept hovering over me as I was inspecting the vehicle, with a constant “I need to go inside, but my managers can wait, it’ll be a while anyway.” To which again I responded that he can join bc I wanted to see what else they had. Asked me if I wanted to finance and said yes? Helpful honda here said we could talk abt it over a lunch if I was interested in the vehicle, even though I continuously said I wasn’t set on it, I just had an interest (was also looking at their mercedes options, but he didn’t let me get around to that as he was set on selling me the 335i now).Quick shift when I asked for an out the door price as I had seen what the vehicle was listed for on their site and I saw the condition of the vehicle. He asked what I was willing to pay for it as I just wanted at least a “ball park” of what I’d be looking at before running my credit. When I shot over a number, he made snarky remarks regarding buying a candy bar and instead of working with me to find a more “reasonable” number, he quickly set aside his paper and pen and said “well we’re just too far off in what we want” because I listed what has now been adjusted on their website (vehicle inconsistencies and damages, due to misalignment on panels, missing trim pieces, obd port had been messed with on top of all aftermarket equipment under the hood, tires worn) just to see it dropped in price anyway bc “don’t worry we’ll still sell it as is for this price.” Tried to play the “it’s the only manual 335i anywhere”, again, it’s not. Rare, but not impossible to come across.This salesman clearly preys on people who he thinks have no knowledge of vehicles or purchasing history. He even tried to misguide me and say that a panel repair and cosmetic damages are “only like $80.” It’s not.While I have seen reviews of other salesmen at this dealership who are a delight to work with, I’m highly skeptical if they kept him who has been there for “over 4 years.” Please do your due diligence when looking to purchase a vehicle from here. I would never come back based on this experience alone especially as a female POC. I was very uncomfortable and very obviously stereotyped.Went and bought a vehicle from another dealership instead, the difference in treatment without even explaining my experience here is uncanny and a complete 180 with FULL transparency of the vehicle’s history. I should have started elsewhere and not be livid before 10am coming to this dealership.All in the span of less than 10 minutes and he ran potential buyers out. Based on previous reviews about him, I’d listen to those and at least look for someone else to help you.0/10 would recommend.

SCAMMERS!!! I tried to do the deal on the phone because I had to drive 2 hours. They refused said I was wasting their time, then hung up on me. I came with cash (literal cash) for the car, they added an alarm for $3495 plus tax, then refused to honor the price without the alarm. I walked.BTW…I sold cars for 5 years at a legitimate dealership. These people are trash!

I had a wonderful experience at Car Lux. I submitted an inquiry through their website a received a response within 24-hours. Everyone was professional, friendly, patient and very kind. I test drove a few of their cars and purchased my car the same day. They have a huge selection of extremely nice cars. My Sales Associate, Carlos was excellent! Hes very patient and gave honest feedback. The Sales Manager, Nick is awesome! I had the opportunity to meet one of the owners, Sean, who is a great guy. Great energy all the way around. The setup us very inviting and actually fun. Its a great vibe with wonderful people throughout the organization.

Sick to my stomach. Ive flown to places to buy cars before. I generally know how to do it right. First, the carfax looked great. Service history on the car looked questionable (long periods in between service with little miles driven) but not unheard of in Los Angeles either. The last car I bought was a no-mile, time-capsule gem from Los Angeles. I negotiated a top dollar price of $62k with Car Lux (based upon supposed like-new mileage and super clean condition), got checks and took a one way 530am flight to LA to get the car. Before flying down, I talked with these guys multiple times to confirm the condition of the supposed like new 5800 mile car.Due to available flights, I had to sit in a coffee shop for 2 hours to wait for them to open.Unable to see in the pictures provided, I get there only to find: hood and front bumper dont line up, undisclosed damage/scratches, definitely looks like it some crash repair, misaligned fender liners, dislodged rear exhaust diffuser/valence. Tires clearly worn past 5800 miles. That was enough for me. Car was filthy dirty on top of it. I bet I would have found a lot more interesting info, if I had brought it to the pre-purchase inspection and had the car scanned! It literally took me less than 60 seconds to see all these issues and start hailing an uber to get the heck out of there.Not only did they waste my day, but this cost me $400 in flights/uber rides and crushed the idea of driving home in a nice, like-new used dream car.What a shady, dishonest and unprofessional stealership. I had plenty of time to think about the experience, sitting in the airport, waiting for my flight home. Disgusted. What a disappointment. By looking at this dealer online, I should have known better. Thanks for nothing Car Lux!

Car Lux is an absolute advertising scam!! The advertised prices are not honored. Ive experienced their deceptive marketing schemes first hand on two different occasions. They are able to achieve Their financial dishonesty most likely because they cater to individuals with less than perfect credit desperate to obtain a vehicle of any kind. This group is unwilling to file complaints with the California Department of Consumer Affairs.Im currently in contact with this governmental agency attempting to correct their dishonesty and Im also consulting with a law firm to bring justice to those whom they have taken advantage of. I spoke to several individuals claiming to be managers. Even if you offer to pay their advertise price in cash they will refuse to sell you the vehicle. This is a violation of both state and federal law and the Federal Trade Commission has also be informed. Its only a matter of time until their demise.

Horrible. I purchased a car this Sunday 5/7/24 Sunday from this location. The Sales guy Johnathan was helpful so was the older gentleman who deals with the financing. On Tuesday of this week 5/9/23 when I pressed the button to close the sunroof, the sunroof and the mesh would close. I pressed the button twice. The second time the mesh tugged and started pulling back and closed from one side. It tore and came off the railing.I called the dealership immediately but they were closed at 7:20pm.I called the dealership the next day and informed them of the situation. The man who answered the Phone (Ray) was really nice and gave me the number to the service manager Mike. I explained the situation to Mike. His response was “you buy the car as is” not the best customer service and definitely not the best experience. He then told me I had to wait two weeks for the service tech person who works on sunroofs to get back from vacation and at that point they can see what they can do for me. I asked him if I was going to be charged since it was only day two of the purchase. He responded “well it worked when you bought it”I then called the dealership again and they told me to speak to Arsalas. I left a couple of messages and have not heard back from him.As a costumer this has been the worst experience by far.On day two of such a large purchase I should be enjoying the vehicle. Instead I’m stuck with a roof top that will not close and a torn mesh.

Came with my friend to see a car he was interested in buying. Once we entered the office we were not greeted by one person in there. First thing someone asked is if we had an appointment. Literally there was no customers but us there. We decided it was not the car for us and the audacity the man had to say “don’t worry we will sell it by the end of the week” Someone was there also getting maintenance on his car and they “forgot” to tell him his car was ready. Poor guy was sleeping on the lounge chair outside. Horrible customer service.

If only I can give a 0. 1st of all I had an appt and the person was on the phone for a while. Did not acknowledge me. They have 4 desks so close together were you can hear everything. I wanted an older truck with a good credit. They wanted me to give almost 1/2 of what the car was worth there and then. Didnt even try working with me. I even believe he answered a call while with me and it seemed like he got a call regarding the same car I wanted. Maybe since they were giving more of a down payment through the phone they didnt want to help me.

Found a Jeep online, made an appointment, test drove it and worked out a price. Everyone was helpful. Update. I was 100% scammed by this place. Car has been a nightmare since driving about 50 miles and check engine line came on. No way this is a fluke. Please, do not buy a car from these people. Mario and the Service Center Manager said the car was sold as is and there’s nothing they can do. Mario swore at me on the phone and told me they have lawyers and go ahead and get an attorney. I am shocked this place is in business. This has all happened in the last 30 days. There will be legal action. Seriously, steer clear of this place.

A buddy and I drove almost 3 hours to pick up a 2013 Lexus IS350c. At first we were a little sketchy cause of the surroundings since we rarely travel to LA. We met Kia and Sean(might have messed up his name) and they were super friendly. Kia took us in the car for a test ride and had a great time no issues. Car was dirty but another man named Arsalan took great care of us sending us over to a wash to have it cleaned before we left! The service was super amazing and so far the car is driving like a gem! If you have doubts about this place DONT they are super friendly and helpful. Another guy was also super nice I forgot his name but he had cool hair!

Please purchase at your own risk! They just want your money. Its been 5 months since I purchased a used vehicle from Car Lux. Before considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership, I encourage you:1. To have your own mechanic check the vehicle! I had 3 different tires, they stated the vehicle had no accidents but the entire bumper needed to be replaced, my window stopped working after 1 month, and it was missing a lot of accessories (they promised to replace and they denied it).2. Verify all the documents have the correct information. Everything in my contract was correct, but they submitted the wrong address to the DMV. My license plate and registration was sent to the wrong address. I didnt get a hold of someone until 4 months after.3. Consider paying $1,500+ for an awful vehicle recovery device, TheftPatrol. My device did not work for the first 3 months and it still doesnt register the correct location.Above all this, Ive called and emailed multiple times to find a solution (some issues not even mentioned in this review) and its extremely difficult to get a hold of the right person. This is my worst experience purchasing from a used car dealership.

Went down with my son to get a car for him. He found one he liked and we ended up getting hit. The experience at the dealer was good. However the car had so many issues with it. We did purchase the extended warranty and out of 4 x we did a claim they only wanted to fix one thing. Nothing but excuses they gave us on why they would not cover. If I can go back I would not have purchased this car. Waste of my money on the extended warranty as well. Never again will I go here again.

People stay away from this place I was there to check out a vehicle I test drove it and went to the office with the sales person then the manager which I don’t remember his name short man gray hair non professional at all . He started adding up numbers of the price of the vehicle I wanted to buy . I was blown away when he added $2500 for wheels of vehicle and tires they were so worn out . and $3000 for a GPS package and another $6000 probably taxes and another stuff . Do they also charge separate for the seats, bumpers, headlights engine radio etc ????. So on top of the advertise price of the car they added another $11500 not counting the whatever the bank, finance company was gonna charge for interest . Are you serious ? Stay away from this place . It’s not my first rodeo buying a vehicle . And besides those wheels are horrible .

Shady business they run here. The car was not the price advertised because they add fees of their own on top of the regular fees. If your car has something wrong and they said they’ll fix it, they have a mechanic that doesn’t respond to calls or texts. So that’s a lie. Also they sold me a car with many issues and we didn’t notice until after the fact of buying it. They will not help you! They only want sales. Buy a car elsewhere because they don’t run a good business here.

I had a great experience buying a car from Car Lux. The salesman that was working with me, Jairo, was the best in the game, he never pressured me or tried to make the car sound good by any means, he simply let me look the car through with no pressure and answered any questions I had. I even had the chance to meet the owner and he was one of the best guys I have met, very nice and humble. That said, the car that we ended up picking up is beautiful, it’s clean, and it truly feels like it’s new even though it’s almost a decade old. I definitely recommend this place.

Don’t waste your time and money!Hidden fees!$3500 extra fee for anti theft GPSI told the Maneger i dont want the gps he said you have to but it thats our profit!!So website price + tax +documents fees and+$3500 on top! The prices are fake.Cash or finance doesn’t matter you have pay that extra fee!The manger said dont worry about $3500 it just $14 a month but I calculated and was $48 a month on top of payments!! We were interested in a Porsche Cayenne that they had advertised on Truecar. The add said it was a manual transmission with 69,000 miles. I ran a Carfax report and it was a automatic transmission with at least 96,000 miles. We decided to look at it anyway. We called and made an appointment for 1pm. We live two hours. While on the road to our appointment we received a text that the appointment had been changed to 2:15 pm because the car was at the detail shop. We went ahead and arrived early. The lot was so packed there was no place for us to park our car. My wife needed to use the restroom and we were told they didn’t have one. Typical used Car dealership. Arrogant employees. I called in, spoke to someone who mumbled his name on speaker phone. I had to tell him twice i couldnt hear him until he made a physical effort to pick up the phone. I envisioned a over weight conman with possible jail time leaning forward, having to place his feet down on the ground from off the desk, picking up the phone in the most annoyed manner. When asked if i would pay cash or finance, i answered cash. He became frustrated he wouldnt make commission on financing and proceeded to tell me that like Car max they add on $3,400 for accessories and extras like a GPS. In 2023 there is no after market GPS better than a smartphone. The car is already over the market price and this thug is trying to add $3,400. These kind of dealerships days are numbered with sites like Carvana, bring a trailer, and cars and bids. Covid, and the subsequent car market is the last hoorah of these low life dealerships.

This is one of those dealerships that purposely FALSE ADVERTISE theirs cars so they get people to waste their time and visit the dealership.Called to ask if the listed online price is the true price and confirmed that it was. Anti-theft protection is installed in all the cars on their lot for THEIR OWN protection, yet consumers get to pay for it...no thank you.Anyway, they purposely false advertise their cars online because they want to make sure their cars show up on the first page of search results instead of the second page. Whatever other reasonings they have or however they want to justify their unethical business practice, its still false advertisement and unethical.15 mins into talking price (not having seen the car), we realized that they wanted to have all these add-ons so we tried to leave and they kept trying to convince us that its a common practice and that well never find a good deal blah blah blah.I understand that the demand for used cars is high right now but I also know when something is not worth my time and money. Otherwise, I would give this Seller NO STARS due to my experience with them today. I initially contacted this dealership today through the Kelley Blue Book online portal to inquire about a 2013 Honda Civic LX advertised by Carlux, Inc. on eBay for $14,999. I later received a text from Nick who I assume is a sales representative with Carlux Inc. He texted me the same eBay ad link of the subject vehicle to confirm that it was same car I inquired about. After I confirmed it was, Nick said that he would check what price I saw on eBay and send me a copy of the breakdown including all the fees on the Honda. He also had me text him my zip code in order for him to figure up the relevant sales taxes. The worksheet pic he later texted me listed the vehicles sales price as $15,499 instead of the $14,999 eBay online advertised sales price. The worksheet also included a $2695.00 add-on accessory for an auto theft protection app that was NOT listed in the eBay advertisement. When I questioned Nick regarding these discrepancies, he texted back that the eBay ad had just been changed to reflect the $500 sales price increase and the $2695 theft protection add-on. The TRUTH is that the eBay ad has not since been changed and still lists the sales price for this vehicle as $14,999 with no mention of any add-ons. After texting Nick that the eBay ad had not been changed as he previously texted, he has not responded at all. At best, this is an unfortunate instance of poor business practices. At worst, this is plain intentional deceptive advertising. Either way, I strongly advise other potential car buyers to STEER CLEAR of Carlux, Inc.

Hidden Fees!! Zero Stars. Avoid Car Lux. What started off as a pleasant and mostly hassle free online experience was quickly ruined by their hidden accessories fees. $2500 for an anti-theft and GPS system. When I asked if I could opt out, they claimed that they could not remove them. Finally they agreed to remove the anti-theft system but still wanted $1600 for the GPS. They refused to budge and I refused to play their profit boosting game. The part that I find most upsetting is that these fees werent disclosed until after theyd pulled my credit report. Awful experience while looking at a Lexus rx350 there. Lied to me about a specific serious customer coming in a few hours to buy it to try to pressure me. Only allowed a literal 5minute test drive. Im from Oxnard and I drove 2 hours to come check out a truck I saw and liked I ended up getting it and taking it home then realized something was off the truck would steer to the left and the horn wasn’t working the transmission was pulling … so when I called them saying the transmission was bad they said it wasn’t the transmission it’s probably something else so k took it the Chevrolet to get a check up and it cost me $200 out of my pocket but I wanted to make sure I was getting a good car, the day of pickup I was told the transmission is in really bad condition and needs to be worked on costing more than $2,000 and I took it back to the dealership and told them I wanted a refund I was only able to get my money back because I was working with my own bank and told my bank to hold off on the payment until I get the truck checked lucky I did overall really bad experience they denied to fix it and wanted me out the dealership when I asked for my money back

I was worried about this place after reading all the negative reviews but when I got there it was the opposite of all of the negative things I’ve read. Frank and Sean helped me out a lot and they were super cool they let me check everything out on the car then test drive, after getting the customers out they dealt with me and everything went so easy and smooth

An unethical company, you been warned. interested in a vehicle they were selling so i put a 48-hour hold so i could get a pre-purchase inspection done on nov 16. signed and dated the hold and sean confirmed the hold.this company raised the price of the vehicle by 1000$ while the vehicle was in the shop getting the inspection, remember i had a 48-hour hold on the vehicle. they refused to sell me the vehicle at the holding price and said i have to pay them the current price instead. the inspection came back with problems with the ac control unit, sean just keep telling me nothing is wrong and keep sending me videos of the heating and not the ac.when it smells like a fish, it is a fish! never do any company with unethical practices!
