Jonathan Tobin has advised me on a variety of legal matters related to my photography for years. Its always refreshing to hear his sound, well-researched legal advice on what I should do when people use my photographs without permission or licensing online.Whats great about Jonathan is that he is deeply in touch with all the very current digital trends happening RIGHT NOW. Judging from the advice he gives me and the conversations I have had with him, other artists and small business owners are constantly presenting him with very current legal issues. I mention this because I believe that if you present him with a legal matter relating to copyright, IP, etc., it is likely that he has dealt with a very similar matter very recently, not something he has to read up on.I feel that with Mr. Tobin, Im not presenting my arcane IP-related matters to some guy that is more comfortable dealing with medical malpractice or something. I had a 2TByte drive fail from a faulty powered USB hub.Basically blew that drive right up. Everything was pretty painless, filled out the web form and was contacted by Chris McM right away as my point of contact. Everything happened much quicker than I anticipated, only about 3 weeks from initial contact to having a drive with restored data in my hand (and that was without any special rush treatment). I literally received 99.99% of my data back. Only about 12 files were corrupted and even those, I pieced back together the important ones in photoshop. 163,995 files in 20,608 folders in 618.82 GB (99.99% of total files count) were recovered. Chris was on top of everything the whole process, telling me of possible costs, conditions, etc... so nothing came as an unwelcome or unpleasant surprise. I even bugged him on a sick day and he answered me by email like he always does.In short, 20 years of digital family photos and videos, and nearly 30 years of my professional life as a graphic designer, art director, and director of marketing, and photographer were saved. I figured I had one chance to recover these files and I wanted the best. I paid for the best and received the best and the experience and results were priceless. I would not recommend anyone BUT Secure Data Recovery for recovering data.
