The UPS Store
111 Bank St, Grass Valley, CA 95945, United States
I wish I could give them 5 stars. I have been taking my Amazon returns to this UPS Store for the better part of two years. During which time, I have also supported them by using their services. I think it is neat that they have brought in an Amazon self-service return kiosk. However, I had the most annoying experience today. There is a system I have adopted from a while, in fact, years back. I place my returns in the same re-sealable Amazon envelopes the items come in. I print out the codes on paper because it makes it go faster (than looking for the codes on my phone) at the register. It makes for a speedy process. But, today, a lady Id never seen before, made me take each item out of the re-sealable Amazon envelopes. Good thing I never seal the envelopes until I get to the counter. Often, the person behind the counter would seal the envelopes for me. It makes me feel comfortable knowing that they can see I am returning the item I say I am returning. So, after I took each item out of the perfectly good re-sealable Amazon envelope, she makes me place each item inside a clear plastic bag, then makes me print a separate receipt (on sticker label) for each individual item. I had six items to return. What a waste of labels! Because you can actually print several items on one receipt/label. She said that Amazon is very particular in the way they want to see their returns done. How utterly ridiculous of her!! I have been a prime member for over 10 years, and 5 of those years as a small business owner. I know how to properly pack an Amazon return. Anyway, I was super annoyed. Im sure there were other customers waiting in line feeling the same as me. I left feeling glad and relieved that I wasnt returning a personal item like a bra or underwear or something I wouldnt want anyone else to see. That would have been embarrassing. This way of returning items back to Amazon infringes on ones privacy rights. Not to mention just how long it took to re-package everything. In the meantime, there was a huge line of customers waiting. I will give Staples a try next time.
Banner Bank
115 W McKnight Way, Grass Valley, CA 95949, United States
As a business owner the standards for my products are high and I expect the same from the businesses I work with. Let me start by saying my 1st career was in the banking industry for 20 years. I worked my way up from a teller position into management. Customer service is #1 in my book of standards and we didnt receive that with Banner Bank. We opened our first account last year no problems at all. Last week we went to open a second business account and got nothing but a run around. Because of our current relationship with the bank we were told they would open they account ahead of time and we could bring documentation needed with us. Then we needed the paperwork according to a second person. We would have to to wait. The gentleman waited until 4:50 PM on a Friday before letting us know we would have to wait until Monday now. Upon hearing this we said we would be pulling our business and we were told what ever.

Awesome services! Greg has really helped me get my business accounting and taxes in order. Very easy and pleasant to work with. He and his wife are super knowledgable and have a lot of experience working with businesses and corporations in the big city, but they have a nice small town peaceful vibe. Highly recommended to anyone looking for low key yet highly effective accounting services.
