My backyard landscaping project is just completed by Advanced Pavers & Landscape. I found them in Cal expo exhibition, worked with their new estimator in April 2023, but he was not communicating professionally, and at some point he blamed me for his time has worked on the 2D design for free, despite of their advertising for free design in their website.It was difficult to work with him, so I approached their office via call to communicate it, and Edgar, the owner, quickly called me back and did the estimate in a same day. He was professional and responsive. I checked the online reviews on them and the other landscaping company and decided to go with the Advanced Pavers & Landscape due to the owners quick response, and good personality. He absolutely helped me with selecting the materials and design changes.Well, through this project, there was quite a few challenges working with his crew was appointed for my landscape project. First, it was difficult to communicate with the crew, so I had to keep texting and calling Edgar even for small things.The crew kept forgetting things, as an example, replacing the water/ drainage pipe under the pavers, so I had to keep tracking things by myself. But, they kept re-doing things while forgetting stuffs.See the attached pictures and the pics are speaking for themselves. The electrical outlet was supposed to be on the seating wall, but ended up on the post which I ignored it. The drip hose has to be all the way to the gate but ended up in half way, and I do not know how it is unfolded one day when I got back home seeing water overflowing.Almost, every day I had to clean up after them, taking care of their water bottles and trashes and cleaning the front of my home after they finally picked up the pavers pallets. And they left my front homes concrete broken and damaged while blaming the construction.The crew did not care about safety. I am an engineer and safety is absolutely significant to me. They left the demolished concrete outside of my home, not considering that kids are biking in the neiborhood and they may be injured by accident. Long story short, I had to keep texting and asking Edgar to take care of it. Better to be safe than sorry.Another thing, the crew was struggling to build a smiple seating wall while I agreed to go with the 90degree design than 45degree for simplicity. They literately cut the pavers block dozen times, they did not get a right measurement and they ended up building a poor quality seating wall with yellow glue all over it. I still do not like the way they took care of the seating wall, they could not do a simple measurement before building the wall. Unfortunately they did not listen to me or they couldnt understand me due to language barrier.The good news is that they were kind and installed 5 lights for the seating area, but that does not improve the poor quality of their job. Deeply disappointed.They did not get the salt and paper gravel which I have selected and showed the sample to them. But I said it is okay to the other size, they got.They dumped the gravel on the designated area without taking care of the foundation, I was almost swimming in the gravel pool, I asked them to correct it, which they did while I told them what to do and I also helped them.Overall, their pavers works is good but they are not detail-oriented, their work is not neat and clean. They constantly forgot about things, so I had to keep reminding them. You have to be very patient with them, check their works so they do not forget things, be okay with stressful time, be okay if they do not clean up after themselves, be okay with their poor quality work.Now, I have to take care of the broken concrete in front of my home. It was a stressful time, and every time I see the seating wall, I like to demolish to build it in a right and clean way.
