They gave us handicap accessible room 201 and was fantastic because it was on end of building end of hallway with door to stairs immediately across from door to room, so we had very quick easy access to parking lot. Also helped to have almost zero foot traffic past our door to minimize any reaction from our service animal. NOT pet friendly hotel but thankfully service animal OK. Only downside to that end of hotel is the pool, was loud but as expected kids having fun and was very quiet after 10 PM.

Checked in at 10:30 pm, arrived to an acceptable temperature room. Throughout the night the air conditioning would turn off and air was not circulating. After my husband could not sleep any longer at 6 am he went down for coffee and notified the front desk of the problem with a request for maintenance. We left for the day and upon returning at 4 pm the room was hot, and humid. My husband called the front desk and they told him that maintenance never came, and now at 5 pm maintenance came, they replaced the filter and the maintenance person said it was blowing cold air now, but if things change call the front desk. At this point my husband is sick with a migraine due to the lack of sleep and air flow. He fell asleep and I went out for a few hours. I came back at 7 pm upon opening the door it was hot, stuffy, no air flow, just nauseating. I called the front desk, I was told that my air conditioning worked fine and it just wasnt the temperature I preferred and since they were 100% booked there was nothing they could do. I asked about fans, they dont offer them. I said I was worried about my husband breathing in this room and his migraine. I was told that the lobby was a cooler temperature and he could come there to sit. People often go outside and upon reentry its a breath of fresh air. I told the front desk when maintenance left the thermostat was 72 degrees now its 74. I was told that those thermostats dont work. At 7:04 pm I asked for maintenance to come back to take another look at the ac, I was told maintenance leaves at 7 pm and there was nothing they can do. I travel a lot and have never ever encountered this type of service. I am absolutely appalled at the lack of empathy, kindness, and willingness to accommodate guests..

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Nice size room, great desk, bathroom and shower were nice and clean. Beds and pillows very comfortable. The a/c was a little loud when it came on, but fine.Fruit at breakfast very good, croissant sandwiches were okay, nice to have cheese strings, typical hotel breakfast.Hotel appeared to be renovated.Would come back.

Fine, but didn’t feel great. Appreciated the free breakfast! The lobby area is odd. What is annoying is the effects of the cheapness of management:(1) mini-fridges will only cool for 3 hours at a time, so stuff goes bad unless you are there to get the fridge going again every three hours;(2) the timed/motion sensor lights _in the room_, that’s just nuts. I’m sitting here and the lights are going off and on in my room (back on when I move)

Against better judgment, I gave this hotel, another chance, but it’s still terrible. It’s horribly managed, and this really shouldn’t be part of Marriott. They don’t even have a general manager right now because the last person quit and I guess they’re just flying solo.At check-in, I waited a solid 15 minutes while the desk agent attempted to speak Spanish with a guest even though the guest spoke pretty good, broken English. 15 minutes to check in when you only have one person in front of you is an extremely long time. The next day I woke up to construction outside of my door. Nobody had told me about this and when I asked what’s going one of the workers just said “we have to take care of something.” They couldn’t tell me how long it would last, and a ladder blocked my door and paint and plaster was all over the floor. I asked the guy if he could move the dropcloth a little so that I could exit my door and walk-through paint and he seemed really put out by it. At 5 PM the ladder had just been sitting there and I had to call the desk and ask if somebody was going to remove it. They came and got the drop cloth and ladder, but paint and plaster is still all over the floor. And the smell came through into my room. Then I ordered food delivery. My app settings said to leave it with the front desk, but the DoorDash guy called and said that the desk was not being nice to him and they would not let him leave the food. I came down and got it, but asked the desk about this and they said it’s their policy not to accept food or even let it sit at the counter because it’s a safety issue. It’s not a safety issue and who came up with this policy because this hotel doesn’t have a general manager. Pathetic. Avoid this place.

I had booked a reservation from Friday, 4/26/24 - Monday, 4/29/24. When I tried checking in the man at the desk said our room had been cancelled(I NEVER cancelled it). I drove 3 hours to find out we had no room. He offered us another room for $340/night, but why would I waste more money when I had already spent close to $1,600?!? I never received a cancellation request or a heads up. Now they don’t want to refund my money, therefore, collected money from someone else that stayed there and still kept what I paid for. This is absolutely unprofessional, and a scam! I would not trust this hotel. I would not recommend making a reservation here. This is fraud.

The area is nice, however, the service is poor. Kari was very rude and dismissive when approached about inconsistencies with room protocols. She denied room change request then states shell check if the person in adjacent room has left but doesnt say anything else. I then repeat my request and follow up with Does this require management authorization? She replies she cant change my room even though that was not what I was asking. The whole time she isnt looking at me and just continues to walk around desk wiping things rather than making some attempt to care about concerns. I asked for manager name and she wont provide saying she has no clue who will be in tomorrow and there are lots of managers. I informed her her behavior and unwillingness to provide any info indicates she is trying to hide something but not understanding why since I wasnt accusing her of causing the room issues but merely informing her of the noise and banging on walls. I checked the sign on wall but there was no manager name listed under Manager on Duty. She denied request for business card. Kari just continued to deny offering any support. She just replied that she acts on sales managers behalf and walks over to walk to point at plaque with hotel name as who to contact. Never experienced such condescending and dismissive behavior from a Marriott employee. The location isnt worth the hassle of staying here unless you enjoy having a bad time.

Rooms have noticeable dents and gashes, cobwebs in corners. First floor rooms are basked with light from the parking lot and you will hear lots of noise from various maintenance persons throughout the night. Air conditioner was so loud I thought a train was going by. The housekeeper knocked my door at 8am, 10am, and 11am even though checkout is at 12 and with my Elite status it’s 1pm. Front desk guy appeared unhygienic with cat hair all over his shirt and no sign of a uniform. Overall a poor night of sleep in what should have been a straightforward and basic hotel option. As a Ritz employee I don’t know if this franchise group is the issue but I am ashamed to share a parent brand with this place.

Arrived at 12:30am after late flight. Front desk could not find both of our reservations. After some time she did and said she needed to go check on the rooms. She cam back 45 minutes later and said she only had 1 room available, not 2 per our reservation. She said there were rooms open but they were not cleaned and she could not let us stay in them. She called her manager who said they would give us a free night. I was traveling with a female co-worker and we were not going to stay in the same room. We ended up having to find another hotel down the road for 4x the price. I was floored a marriot behaved this way and did not clean the room for us when we arrived. We contacted corporate since I am a titanium member who is going to follow-up. Very poorly managed hotel.

From the moment we checked in (early), it was apparent the operators of this property prioritize savings and efficiency over comfort and quality. Granted, we are talking about a Springhill Suites, however, it still carries the Marriott name and is part of the brand. It started with the friendly staff greeting us but failing to recognize our Bonvoy status - it appeared staff members were being trained. We were advised the A/C unit would need to be controlled on the unit itself and not on thermostat inside the room, this was a bit confusing and very frustrating. As we attempted to sleep, there would be rotating spells of chills and heat sweats causing a mid-night dance with our covers. Combine this with the noise from HWY 111s proximity, as our room was located on the west-side of the building, quality sleep was a luxury we were never able to obtain.Another item of frustration were the light sensors/switches, these were not configurable and their functions not standardized. One of the two light sensors - the vanity mirror - would turn on every time someone entered the bathroom. We understand why the hotel would have these installed, it sounds like a nice feature. However, not very practical when somebody has to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and the farm door w/glass inlay doesnt block any of the light causing everybody in the room, especially the kids, to awake. The other light sensor - the shower light - never really worked. We would have to manually switch it on. Once in the shower, the light sensor wouldnt sense our movement from the shower and the light would turn off. The manual override was to open the shower glass door and wave your arms like a crazy person and only then would the light turn back on for about a minute or two. This override would only work for about 2 to 3 times before the light stopped working altogether.Speaking of the shower, it also didnt help the overall intake of our experience to notice the number of stains on the tiled shower wall, some of them brown in color. The attempt was made to the adjust the shower head and rinse them away, but that didnt work as they truly were unsightly stains. The shower floor was also very slippery. The staff was cordial but the property, especially the room itself, left a lot to be desired. Safe to say its unlikely well ever stay at this location again. Theres more to the experience that could be shared but the Marriott survey limits the review to 2500 characters.
