I so appreciate this company and its employees. We needed an internal battery replacement. The authorized Mac/Apple service places were going to take at least a week or more and i would be without my laptop. MacMechanic with its Apple certified technicians did the work for me in 1 1/2 hours. I barely finished my latte when I got the call that the work was done. Weve worked with this group for over a decade. Super nice people. Great service!

Is it OK to love your technician? MacMechanic is first rate in customer service & computer repair. They just saved my computer/data life.The night before, I had just gotten scammed/hacked from an online screen-sharing unscrupulous tech guy (when you get a gut-punch that tells you he might have taken your computer/data hostage).I was in serious emergency status when I contacted MacMechanic for an iMac assessment/repair, OS upgrade, tune-up & screening for malicious software. On the phone, Cameron calmed my nerves, walked me through the steps & Joe did the inspection/repairs while explaining each process -- definitely CPR for my nervous system as well as my iMacs well-being.Their timely home pick-up & delivery is also a fantastic service. My lap top did a dive, and since I am not technologically inclined by any stretch, I drove over and had Cameron take a look. They are so good at explaining what is wrong, what your options are and they are very aware of saving you money! I went and purchased a new laptop and then went back to them to transfer/migrate it all, and again, an exceptional experience of professionalism and peace of mind on my part that it was all done correctly. They have my highest recommendation.

Fantastic service and great people! My laptop needed a battery replacement, and the Apple store said that theyd have to ship my computer to their service center, so I was going to be without a computer for at least 5 days. I called MacMechanic up and was able to drop the computer off the same day. 2 hours later, and I had a brand new battery on my laptop. So fast, and the people working there were so professional and friendly. I highly recommend them!

Joe from MacMechanic helped me save all the documents and files from my old computer whose hard drive stopped working. And when some of the files had corrupted during the transfer (only a single folders worth, everything else was perfect), he was able to retrieve the originals and make sure I got all of the files I dearly wanted from my old computer. He spent the better part of a morning making sure I got some very specific files back, and Im super grateful for the time and effort he put in.I highly recommend MacMechanic for anyone who is having computer troubles. They were quick to return my calls, and were happy to help me with computer questions that slightly exceeded the boundaries of what I was specifically paying them for, such as setting up my new computer with my old computers data, and creating a time machine out of the cloned drive. Everyone I spoke to struck me as polite, highly competent, and patient. Hopefully I wont need computer help again for a very long time, but when I do, Im going back to MacMechanic.

I had a great experience with the company. A stuck MacOS upgrade was caused by a corrupted disk drive and a flawed memory chip. Manabu diagnosed the problems and kept me informed all the way through the process. Great service and communication. All good from my perspective…..!

My computer was fixed in a jiffy, by that I mean they were able to complete the upgrade and get it back to me on the same day. My Mac is now working so much better, so much quicker and my frustration over its lack of speed and constant beach ball has been resolved. The guys who work there were super nice too. Very smart and accommodating. I recommend MacMechanic and give it 5 stars.

Mac Mechanic is the best. The shift button was stuck on my Mac, which is a problem only the Apple store can fix, but might result in data loss. I brought my computer to Mac Mechanic first, and they saved all my data, as well as put the data on a rental computer so I had something to use while the original was getting fixed by Apple. They charged a really reasonable rate for all of this and waived the rental fee when Apple was able to remedy the problem the next day. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and I cant recommend them enough.

Joe came to my home office and did a masterful job of tuning my iMac for maximum performance. He installed two satellite routers that now give me complete, high-speed performance all over my house and outside deck, and also got me squared away with ad-blocking and password management software. He was great at explaining and demonstrating a host of Mac-related issues, so Im now having a much better internet experience. I highly recommend Joe and MacMechanic.

I received great service and support at Mac Mechanic. They helped boost my very old MacBook Pro (2008) with a new battery and upgraded it to 250GB SSD! Now my baby is acting brand new! They also took the time to explain everything to me which was super helpful. I will be going back very soon to upgrade my RAM from 4 to 8GB (which is also what Mac Mechanic recommended). Justin helped me immensely. I originally went in to update my iMac with a new hard drive and RAM. The computer worked flawlessly except for some other issues that popped up regarding input/output levels (having nothing to do with the updates). Over the course of the next two weeks, Justin helped me with a work-around. When that didnt solve the problem, he looked at my computer remotely and, though the issue was unrelated, he had me bring my computer in and fixed it without charge. Really appreciated the care and help.

Its rare to find a business that provides better service than one expects - yet thats always been my experience with the team at MacSuperstore. These guys really go the extra distance, providing top notch service at really fair prices and a level of expertise that is hard to match in town. I recently tried another independent service in SB because of the lure of speedier service, but was surprised by hidden costs they threw in and disappointed by inferior work. Then I came back to MacSuperstore and kicked myself - when a group of dedicated Mac experts are as good as this, its crazy to think about going anywhere else.

My laptop of 7 years finally fizzled out on me, however, my hard drive was still in tack and had 7 years of design projects, photos etc. I bought a new laptop and they transferred my old hard drive onto it no problem. Fast and friendly service and fairly inexpensive. Definitely coming back if I ever have another issue.

My computer was having heart failure issues... I brought it in, and after 3 valiant attempts to repair it on a simpler level, it was clear it needed a heart transplant (new hard drive). The work is guaranteed, and I felt totally supported to keep bringing it back till the solution was found. I am grateful to have my ol pal back instead of having to buy a new one! MacMechanic took a lot of time to explain things to me, to talk through possible solutions, and to advise me. My iMac had slowed to a crawl. I took it to MacMechanic, with whom I’ve done prior repairs on other Macs over many years. Their new location on upper State is great! Easy access and plenty of parking! I explained my problem and left my iMac with them.The mechanic (Jason) quickly isolated the problem, detailed a few options, and we settled on a repair approach. Jason kept me up to date as we had agreed to try to salvage the hard drive data. Turned out that despite the attempt, it would take a more aggressive approach to save the data (Jason had options for that too) so I opted just to have them replace the defective drive causing the issue. That work was done quickly and I got my computer back later that day.After getting the iMac home and restoring it to my last Time Machine backup, everything is back up and running, as fast as new.I was very pleased with the whole process, from drop-off, analysis and communication thru final resolution. I highly recommend their repair service!

I wish I had taken my iMac in earlier for an upgrade. The speed increase is outstanding. Now my older iMac is right up there with the latest version at ⅓ of the cost. Because they are so good, they are busy, and its first come/first served (no appointments). Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but the results and the care make it way more than worth it.

First class. Justin helped me with the mount of my Mac Pro in 3 mins. I was replacing the original after having a Vesa mount. I waited a half hour in the Apple Store to ask for help tightening the right screws and inserting a plastic card to pop the lock - then was told I would have to book in for a repair and likely they would have to take the front off the machine. The Apple engineer was quite rude and totally useless. I went to Mac Mechanic and Justin fixed the issue on the spot. This will be my go to store from now on.

My macbook air stopped working completely, nothing but a black screen. I took it to the Apple store and their genius said it needed a new logic board and would cost at least $500. At my daughters suggestion, I took it to MacMechanic where Justin plugged it in, held down several keys and the power button and it came right on! No charge! I went there and costed $129 for nothing from the problem of display. They told me that it was display problem that I have to change the entire screen to the new one, which costs $680 and takes 2 weeks. I brought this computer to UCSB student tech consultants, and they fix this problem within 1 hour for free. AND IT WAS NOT DISPLAT/SCREEN PROBLEM!!!!!, IF I listented to them, I almost lost $800 for nothing.

I have been a MacMechanic customer since Mike Bishop opened his shop on Guiterrez. I trusted him completely. So, when he retired and sold his business to MacSuperstore, I was concerned if I would still get the personal service. Im pleased to say, that yes, I am, still receiving my personal attention and I am not just a number in line. Several of the MacMechanic employees are there. Its been a smooth transition for me; my data is in their computer, and records of servicing and parts replacement. No pressure for me to get a new computer if upgrades are available. When its necessary to actually get a new computer, it will be from MacSuperstore aka MacMechanic.

Nice store and pleasant staff. Came in for warranty repair, and part replaced in 15 minutes. At first they tried to insist that issue was out of warranty, to which I corrected them. However, once they check my serial number with apple they discovered I was right. No pressure to upgrade, which I liked.Checked another issue the system has and discovered the problem right away. I will be back here again.Parking is incredibly tight and very limited...you might have to park curbside.

I bought my first Mac Mini in this store 7 years ago when it was Mac Mechanic. I stopped in with a friend a few days ago and found the service and vibe to be similar. Stores that sell Apple products but are not APple stores have to work hard on the service part to keep going. I went in to the APple store a few weeks ago and it took forever for the employee just to find a power cable. When I asked the identical question in MacSuperstore, they guy took me right to it on the wall.
