I had gone in yesterday to return my older model router because I had just gotten a new one from the same store, later that day my account was deactivated which reset my promotions and grandfather discounts totaling over 45$ off, so you could say Im not very happy. Im not sure if this was an accounting error or if one of the store clerks made this mistake. But it didn’t happen til just after I went to the store.

The lady who helped me was extremely grumpy. My thing is I had brought in a router from my apartment, and I specifically told her that Im not sure if I could leave it here since it came from my apartment. Without saying anything, she picked it up and went to the back with it. I mean, come on. Really ? Im not leaving less than 5 stars because I got what I came for quickly, and i have a good plan for a good price. But communication goes a long way.

I got scammed I called 3 time first they told me it is the area I was at that the connection couldnt get to my apartment the 2nd they told me oh you need to make a payment of 3dollars that I dont get cuz I just got the service the 3rd time was oh it probably the system. I made a 50$ payment when I got the service with them and I only had service for 2 day till they shut it off I went to talk to them to get my money back they said Ill get the check in 2 week I called when those 2 week were up and still no check.it been 2 months already. So now Im talking to a friend that is a lawyer for a lawsuit.

Upon entering this place you immediately want to end your life. They try to make it like an Apple Store but its a really far from it. It smells like a homeless man vomited Indian food diarrhea. Probably the scum that comes in. Jamal that helped me was cool. Process was fine but had to wait like 10 min which sucked for something that took 30 seconds.

It was very quick and easy to set up my internet through Cox. So far, my connection has been strong and reliable. I’m getting a 500g plan for relatively cheap. You don’t need nearly that much, but it’s helpful to maintain a consistent speed around 100 or so.

I havent been to this store but i called in after i ordered my service (internet only) online. $39.99 a month(for a year) +$9.99 for the modem. Its wayyy faster than ATT you can see on the picture. the second highest was ATT and cox is HomeLuque. Att had constant wifi drops while cox has no issues so far. Customer service was great on the online chat. Installation was scheduled very next day. Quick installation and was ready to go!

Overly priced and constant outages with little to no compensation. They have some of the worst customer service I have had. They refuse to allow customers to mail back equipment so we have to drive in and wait in massive lines in the store since they don’t allow for remote business. The only reason I don’t put one star is because when it isn’t out the internet works fine. I will definitely never voluntarily use cox

As of 23 April 2023, weve had outages over the last three days. This past month, there have been roughly four to five separate occasions where the network was down for the majority of the day, which left my wife unable to work. Over the past three years, outages occur regularly, the rented router and gigablast plan do not perform anywhere near the network speed advertised. They will also only activate a single port in your house and if you want to relocate the router to a different one, theyll charge you a ~$60 relocating fee. If they werent the sole provider for neighborhoods on Camp Pendleton, I wouldnt be paying for this ridiculous and unreliable service.

I would highly not recommend this company as they have poor customer service and their sales representatives lied to my wife and I. I joined Cox in December 2023 as they were the only internet service provider for my neighborhood aboard Camp Pendelton. Another reason we decided to go with them was that the sales rep told us we do not have to worry about a termination fee for ending the contract early if we PCS during the contract timeline. Now, they will not support that and have charged me the full termination fee, even though I have already PCSed out of the area. Not military friendly at all and I would advise anyone to not do service with them.

Brendin was exceptional! Superb customer service and very understanding! I went in there to cancel my service not that anything was wrong with it I just found a better deal with Verizon internet. From the minute I walked in there was someone to help check in. I waited no more than 2 min, told him what I needed and he took care of it in a jiffy! He didnt hassle me for cancelling my service! Definitely will consider them if things change in the future!

This is the worst internet service I’ve ever had. The WiFi was out the whole day and customer services was lying about when it’ll come back on. They don’t text notifications of an outage either. Now two weeks later, my WiFi is out again and they chose their closing day (Sunday) because they know what they did was wrong.

WATCH OUT FOR THIER LEASE AGREEMENT!!! I warn you. Ask about the terms of the lease agreement. I was not told by the cox representative that signed us up that I would be signing a 2 year lease agreement and if terminated early it would result in a $170 payment. Rene was tech that came to my house and made us feel comfortable but little did I know he was holding information from us. I was not planning to use Cox at all but being military cox is the only allowed wifi in that district. I don’t understand how the organization can treat service members like that. Please go with your mobile cell phone for wifi or buy a wifi puck.

Staff continously pushes unwanted and un-needed services and are very pushy towards the customer. New equipment does not work and they try to stick you with a technician to fix the problem without telling you it is a 100 dollar cost for a technician to come to your house or even worse you deny the request for a technician and they show up anyways unannounced and unwanted pounding on your door on a weekend. When you receive new equipment due to the fact your old equipment is outdated the old equipment has to be returned to the store before they stop charging you, so you are charged twice on your bill for 2 boxes for 1 service. Internet service is unreliable and continually drops out. One of the absolute worst companies I have ever dealt with and hate they are the only option in my area.

An employee rudely turned us away as we walked up to the door. He closed the store 50 minutes early because “of the holidays” even though thanksgiving isn’t until tomorrow.It’s frustrating to make the drive to the store after customer service on the phone told us to pick up the order at the store.It’s not the end of the world having to wait for two days to get internet but it’s annoying to have time wasted because we can’t get that back.

I had a tech come out today to install internet. His demeanor from the start was very unfriendly and cold. I could immediately tell that he found the job to be too much of a hassle because the existing lines outside are from at&t and he would need to install Cox lines. I asked if it would be easier for me to just go through at&t for internet and he basically said yes at first and didn’t care if I canceled my appointment with Cox. He then called me a few minutes later telling me to reschedule instead of cancelling but I’m so disappointed with the service I received that I’ll just go elsewhere for internet.

I really had bad experience in location - oceanside due to unable to pick up internet connect devices/etc even though I was authorized to pick up when my husband listed me when we purchased internet. I am so disappointed they didnt want to speak with my husband over the phone to authorized for me to pick up or give us a one time courtesy. If I wasnt able to pick up since I am not the primary in the account they should of mentioned that before we purchased. I would re-consider when you are wanting to purchase. Overpriced for the service.

When i call them they say were working on it or fixing the issue yet it has been going on for months. Apparently its because of the sudden influx of people switching over to cox in my apartment complex area. if thats the case why arent they doing anything to updating or increasing there equipment or w.e it is they do to make the interent even better. Excellent customer service!I was just coming in to pay my bill at the kiosk and one of the customer service associates came from around their work area and volunteered to help me with my payment. That was pretty cool. I was glad they did help me because not only did I need help paying my bill with both cash and a card but they helped answer a question I had about my current internet plan. I was in and out within 15 minutes. Bill paid and questions answered. Thank you COX.Make sure to have your account number on hand just in case they need it to assist you with your account. They close at 7pm on weekdays and at 5pm on Saturdays. Closed All Day on Sundays. So if you need to pay your bill to turn service back on be sure to make it in before they close or you will have to wait for them to open at 10am the next morning.

I walked into the store this morning to return some equipment I had forgotten about from a previous residence and was greeted by possibly the best customer service I’ve ever had. Keep in mind, I’ve heard horror stories about customer service from both Cox and Spectrum before so I was skeptical if it would take 20 minutes for a simple transaction. It didn’t! I was greeted by two representatives, the second being Jorge who took me right to the counter, looked up my account without even asking me and turned in the equipment before I could even blink. He complimented my hair (he had a great ‘do too) and then even walked me back to the door. I was in and out in 90 seconds or less and was almost baffled at how good the service was. In today’s day and age, manners and customers have largely disappeared in favor of expediting processes and just getting stuff done, which is great, but it leaves a hollow feeling for lack of human connection. This was an example of both coming together. Well done Cox! And thank you Jorge!

Well they are terrible, Ive been there multiple times and never really had an amazing time there. The service is terrible you pay $60 a month then out of no where the next bill is $110 with no warning or anything and you only have internet like every other day. This location specifically isnt the best I went in there 5min before close which is fine with them but my wife has to park and get our son out for the car and then they locked the doors and wouldnt even let her in so I couldnt do anything since all of it was in her name and she had to be in there, but they wouldnt let her in the store even tho I was already in there.

However I would recommend a bit more human interaction with checking in to aid any older customers in case they are not tech savvy. I assisted 2 older women with the tablet check in process.

If youre able to use another company, do yourself a favor and go with the other company. Horrible customer service!!!!!! They dont help you AT All and are really rude. They only care about their bottom line not the customers. They will charge you a huge bill for any little thing they do. Ask them for detailed list of all the charges upfront and yep they wont give that to you but after you have services installed in your home they will say you agreed to this price.

Their technician literally cursed at me on the phone and said hes not coming to install my internet after I already played 75$ for them to come out. Then their phone line is always busy so even if you needed to talk to someone you couldnt. If you can possibly get ANYONE else to service your internet please do. Don’t cancel their spotty service or they’ll try to extort you through undue collections, seriously don’t use this service.After ending my contract with Cox communications I was advised that a box would be sent to me in order to send back router equipment, I was never sent said return box, I followed up with Cox multiple times and multiple times was told they’d be sending a return box that never arrived. A few months later I received a call from a 3rd party collections agency advising that I was now in collections for over $300 for said equipment but that I could go to any ups store to return it, witch I did, and ups had no idea what I was talking about when I showed up trying to send this back, out of frustration I visited a Cox store ( not even suer if it was this one) where they finally took the equipment, and now months later, I’m again being called by collections who say they have no record of this equipment return. The collections agent advised me that I am not te only person telling this or a very close version of this story but there’s nothing they can do because Cox is paying them to I guess extort people.

Have been with Cox for over 18 years. Only because they are the only providers for Internet and Phone in my area. Should of went with Direct TV years ago for cable, but being in the Military and never having time has now come back to hit me in the face with a $250 monthly bill. I am so frustrated with them. Poor customer service over the phone and in person at the Oside office. Went in yesterday to talk about my plan, and there was a 40 minute wait at 6:30PM. Funny that they close at 7:00PM. Waited for 10 minutes and noticed that all the employees kept looking at their watches and rushing to get people in and out if they could. I could see that they didnt have your undivided attention. So I left, again frustrated. I will dump them the first opportunity I get. LOYALTY is something they dont know about. I gave only one star, because there wasnt an option for no stars.

I cant transfer a cox cable router to my home location BUT I CAN GET A THIRD PARTY ROUTER UP AND RUNNING SAME DAY. Really cool since most people are teleworking and cox doesnt open till 10 am. After being a loyal customer for over 25 years i recently experienced the most grossly inadequate customer service. i spent 4 days on the phone, 4 different tech support people and being on hold for several hours because my wifi keeps cutting in and out. i was given information that contradicted everything the previous technician had told me. not only did they increase my bill for absolutely nothing they promised me a free modem and then renigged even though they sent me an empty box to return my modem. cox has become has become another conglomeration that cares about money and not about people.

I had Cox bundle for 2 years. Our equipment kept breaking (multiple service calls) so when they raised our rates we decided to look elsewhere. When I called to cancel all of a sudden they wanted to offer us the latest equipment and a better rate. When I declined their offer the salesman basically called me stupid. I think the reviews here are a bit harsh -- I only saw them because I needed to locate my nearest Cox office. Cox cable is OK. Our TV hiccuped pretty regularly and I had to reset our internet at least once a day most of the time. This is pretty frustrating considering how much they charge. However, every time I needed something, customer service did their best to help me. I got several discounts on my service for complaints and they sent me $100 for locking in my price. Overall, I am satisfied with the service they provided. Their CS employees are friendly, all the ones I spoke with were anyway, and they ARE good to the military in my opinion. There are definitely better prices out there, but they provided relatively reliable service for the three years we spend here.

Terrible experience. After being customers for more than 15 years they changed our pricing it on a computer glitch. Would only come close to our pricing if we signed a 2 year commitment and even then it was not the same pricing. Spoke with multiple superiors that just did not care that their company has become scummy and are using bait and switch pricing. Our bill went up over $50.00 in one month with no warning. This also happened to another family member in the San Diego area. We will avoid ever doing business with cox cable.

I am absolutely disgusted with Cox. I had them back in 2014. Ive had multiple problems with them starting from me suddenly having credit on my account to them not finding a payment I made. They claimed they couldnt find a payment made and ran me through hoops to get it taken care of. I did everything they asked of me. I went to bank printed out statement, had the bank fax it over ( i did this 2x) and still nothing came of it. When I didnt hear anything back I called in to see what action was being taken they had no record. Of course. I was then transferred to Justin. I let him know what I was told to do and that I have upheld my end. He then got super rude and told me I am not supposed to do what everyone had told me to do. At this point I was pissed and told him, since he was being so rude, that I am no longer dealing with this. I have done my part and sent in proof and now its time for them to do their job. I cancelled the account without anything getting resolved and now its hurting my on me credit report. NOw the 120. something charge they couldnt find and tried recharging me for is amounting to over $400 ! How does this happen when Ive done all that I was told to do? This company is a rip off and they are out for your money. And when they cant get your money they mess with your credit. Horrible customer service!!!!!! And a horrible company.

I am a first time cox customer that just walked into the Cox solutions store to pick up my modem. As soon as I walked in i was greeted by Adam who walked over to introduce himself to me. He was very kind and was able to answer all of my questions. He let me know about the benefits of adding a cable plan to my order but was not pushy about it like other salesman. As a first time cox customer I want to say that I believe I have made the right decision in switching. Adam is a great representation of the company and if I ever have any issues I will be coming back to this site store. But Ill tell you that 2 1/2 years ago I had a very bad experience with Cox service. They were going to my apartment about twice a week. In less than a month I had to cancel Cox. I went to AT&T.I been with AT&T for over 2 years but now they are trying to screw me over...with higher prices and run arounds...I had been trying to get help from them but all Im getting is BS. So now Im coming back to Cox Cable and going to give them a second chance. Hopefully the service in my current area (Vista) have gotten better.It sucks that we only have 2 providers in this area. DONT switch from AT&T to them! I switched to them and got a quote for cable and internet for $129 mo. Then they talked me into the cox homelife and home phone, raising my bill going up to $169mo. After 4 days with them we realized we werent going to use the home phone or homelife. When I called back to switch back the $129 mo rate they said that was only a promotional rate and I couldnt get that because I wasnt a new customer!! If I wanted to remove the homelife and home phone it would raise by bill to $230 month since I was outside the promotional period. I literally was a brand new customer 4 days ago. Such a scam its unbelievable!! Wish I had other providers in my area, DO NOT go to them! I had them in the past and left for a reason...

This is not a review of the store itself as i have had zero issues with dealing with the store and actually think they have great service but it’s the company itself and how it is dealing with covid 19! In March when SHTF cox promptly boasted on social media in commercials and in mail that during these hard times we are helping our customers blah blah blah by offering no overage charges and free intern for students! None of this is true in fact my bill has gone up for March then also in May and now see charges for equipment that was promised to me to be free! I am seeing this in most companies boasting that they are paying employees more money but then cut hours to make up for the extra money!

Figuring out whatever my cable guy changed my router password to is a premium service? Really? It should be part of the welcome package.The need for me having my router password is checking on security and blocking and opening certain ports for my personal use... i consider myself a kinda basic user so I really dont understand why the password would get changed or why Id have to pay extra for ilgetting tech assit seeing as I can just reset the router....

Wait was 45 minutes to pick up a box that was behind the counter that already had our name on it.Cox is suffering from declining add revenue but can’t seem to understand the need to treat people better and staff stores better in order to stop hemorrhaging customers.Very poor experience.

When I said this to the man who answered the phone, he said, Im not going to cancel that for you. In shock and amazement, I said, What?!! The man said, Im just messing with you. This was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I didnt appreciate it at all. I have a good sense of humor but this was not the appropriate time or place for this kind of joke. Make sure you read all of the fine print before signing anything and be sure you know what you want. If you want tv when you get it and decide you dont want tv anymore its a $250 early termination fee. If youre moving and bringing your rental modem with you, its a $150 installation fee eventhough you could have done it yourself. If you live on Camp Pendleton, the service sucks. It didn’t matter how high or low your mbps was, as it was always buffering, you continuously had to restart the modem and you couldn’t be on your laptop and watch tv since everything would just stop. Cox sent out a tech a few days after we started service last year and nothing happened and mentioned that there was too many signals going to 1 satellite and moved ours to a different one. My husband and I were stuck in a 1 yr contract and by the time our contract ended, it shot up to $74 for 30mbps from $30. Nothing but sub-par experiences with Cox for more than three years, and a lack of other internet service providers on base means they can (and do) take advantage of the military. Getting a tech to come out was nearly impossible, even though I was getting between 1/50th and 1/100th of my paid-for speeds for over a month.Their phone and online tech support had such helpful advice as reset your modem, and was incapable of anything off-script. My internet has been repeatedly shut down due to lack of payment resulting in me having to physically bring in my proof of payment to the store. Thus far I have had nothing but bad experiences with Cox and will be glad to switch to another company as soon as I am able.

Internet is infinitely better than AT&T, plus AT&T puts a cap on torrenting at 3MB a second. I get 189 Mbps with Cox vs 15 Mbps with AT&T.Cable TV is stable and has never been out. AT&T cable was rebooting multi times a day and so pissed, I actually found it comical after a while.I pay $80 for internet (Web developer) and $160 for everything.
