Excellent and friendly service, very fast (1 week) turn around time for a non rush motherboard repair. (boot no post no full charge charge). Verry quick to respond and did a great job of listening and explaining the problem. Saved my laptop from being brick! Actually picked up my laptop locally and was willing to work within my schedule. 10/10 would recommend and look forward to working with Berkeley Laptop Repair for future needs.

The laptop was suddenly unable to shut down…I contacted Berkeley Laptop Repair and arranged for pick-up. (definitely a 🌟 for having pick-up and delivery!) 15 minutes before the expected arrival timeframe I recd a text and the very professional (and personable) owner, Alex, showed up and after addressing my frustrations, took the device. Another 🌟 in my book! Now fast forward (far less time than I imagined and less than promised) and the call comes that it’s ready. Delivered, again, by the owner, at the estimated price, with an explanation of what was done…weeks ago, now, and the laptop still runs like new!

My experience with BLR was nothing short of perfect. Quick to answer, respond, super on top of everything etc. I contacted them to help with my 84 yo mothers laptop battery issue and they ordered the new battery and came to her home to fix. My mom said the repair person was so nice and friendly. Cannot recommend enough.

After spending over five hours with online tech support services with no successful resolution of the many issues on my Asus laptop, I discovered Berkeley Laptop Repair. They picked up my laptop. I was very pleased with how they kept troubleshooting the various issues that popped up due to the unsuccessful fixes by former techs on antivirus, speakers, zoom, windows, and screen pad. They contacted me several times to update their progress and explain their next procedures. When they returned the laptop, all the issues had been successfully resolved. I felt like I had a new computer! And for all the time that was needed to untangle the issues, their price was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again, and refer them to my friends.

Needed a cooling fan replaced on an HP laptop I inherited from my previous job when IT replaced them all with new Dells and stopped supporting the older HPs. Alex quoted me a fair price, ordered the part, came and picked up the laptop when the new fan arrived, did the installation, clean up the laptop,and returned it the next morning. Will definitely use Berkeley Laptop Repair again.

I had a hard drive crash and was in a bind. The team at BLR were very helpful, even picking up and dropping off the laptop to me at home. Within 48 hours, I was back in full swing! Thankful to have such a solid team nearby to make challenging situations, well, less challenging!

They picked up/dropped off the laptop which was super convenient and got it back to me within two days. I stripped two of the screws on my laptop and they waived the fee for removing those so I only had to pay for the battery replacement. Definitely recommend!

It is hard to find this level of service. These guys are absolutely marvelous. They picked up my dead computer, gave me a quote once they examined it and had it fixed in no time. Then, they delivered it back to me. My computer is working better than it has in ages! Plus....while my computer was being fixed, I tried to use my secondary computer. It died too. Unfortunately, due to its age (about 12 years), fixing it was just not worth it. However, they successfully retrieved files I dearly wanted from the damaged SSD card. I am so grateful!If you are like me, your computer is precious. You want to know things will be fixed promptly and correctly. And, you need to trust the people who will have access to your information. Look no further. These guys are your answer. While I probably wont need their services any time soon, it is comforting to know they are there when I need them.

I was about to buy a new laptop, but decided to call Berkeley Laptop Repair to see if they could revive my 10-year old HP laptop. For $300, they replaced the old hard drive with a new solid state one, migrated the files back, and now it runs better than new! Seriously: its faster and quieter than ever. Saved me $1,000 not having to replace the whole machine, and avoided creating more electronic waste. They have no storefront, but came and picked up the machine from my house, and returned it a couple of days later. They were very responsive to my questions and concerns. Highly recommended!
