So far its been a great experience. I had a great time working with John Israel during the on-boarding procedures. He was very professional, had a great interactive personality, and was very knowledgeable during my barrage of questions that I fired at him. His wealth of information and transparent communication gives me confidence that this will be a worthwhile business endeavor.

If I could give them zero stars I would. They claimed they contacted me for renewal, but I never received an email. They produced some document they said they sent, but again, no such document in my email. $2,999 dollars later I am stuck with zero value for the next year. I canceled the service, but was not offered a prorated reduction in the cost, so I still have to pay the nearly $3,000 for absolutely no value in return. They are nothing but a SCAM! Stay away!

The company charged my credit card even though I canceled. Now they are refusing to refund. I emailed them the send a receipt was sent to me. Ill be filing complaints with the appropriate agencies because its pretty clear Im one of many people having this same exact issue.

The company charged my credit card even though I canceled. They were repeatedly sending me an email requesting to Agree to their subscription offer - I did not agree because I did not believe their platform was in any way valuable. However, they still charged my credit card -- even after I got emails that said my account was cancelled. Their explanation was that it was just an automated email (?!?). This business is fraud. Stay clear.

I find it strange that so many (if not all?) of the recent 5 star reviews on here have been right after the onboarding call but before the reviewers have actually derived any benefit from the service. Can we please have some more reviews that rate the experience of joining a board and deriving benefit? Or are you being asked during your onboarding calla to give a 5 star review in return for...In my experience as a new advisor I derived no benefit.Once you hit the trial button, AdvisoryCloud will never mention the $195 a month charge ever again. They sent me an invoice for $0 at the start of the trial and I never recieved any further invoices ever again, certainly not for the $195 they began taking from my account every month. Once trial expires and by the time you notice you have been charged they will NOT show any good faith to partially or fully refund you. They just want your ARR.

After a two week trial, I am impressed with Advisory Clouds platform. Its both organized and informational. The jury is still out on whether I will achieve my objectives which is to build my network and board experience further and monetize. The onboarding experience was super beneficial with Francis Rina as he was able to highlight opportunities and find companies whereby the company and I will mutually benefit. I do recognize that nothing comes for free, so as long as someone is willing to put in the work, this can provide a great benefit.

As a new Advisor, I didnt know the process or the details. So far, every interaction has exceeded my expectations. My Advisor Onboarding Specialist sent information and multiple reminders for our calls. He was there at every step. I had some technical trouble posting my profile and the Customer Service Team helped in ways beyond the normal assistance and made exceptions to the normal constraints. Talk about personal service!

They proceeded to charge me anyway and claimed I never cancelled the service. I attempted to cancel it again and they refused to refund the charges even though I never used the worthless service. Horrible! I attempted using this service in February of 2023 and had an awful experience! I was blown off for meetings on numerous occasions, received subpar support, and didnt find any organizations worth joining. Fast forward 1 year I attempted to try them again and was blown off for my first meeting with my so called advisor, so I advise you all to save your money and find another avenue to become a board advisor.

I signed up for a 14 day trial. I cancelled after about 6 months. Apparently it didnt get cancelled via the person I called. Now they have been charging me $295/month for 9 months. Yes, i am to blame for not catching it on my statement. They are to blame for not looking and seeing that they provided ZERO service for me over the year 2023...........but they collected $2600+, in addition to the fees I agreed to in 2023. If you provide ZERO, and you collect $$$$ youd think you could at least provide a partial refund!!!! We will find out, and ill delete this post if it happens. Stay tuned!

This is a great idea.On paper.The execution is horrible. For starters they charge Ferrari prices for Dodge service. I mention this up front because youre not getting any experience that has any cachet.Rather the, ahem, boards youre going to be a part of are basically mom and pop running a business out of their garage -- asking fundamental questions.This service does not put you on a board of advisors to provide counsel, advice, and support for businesses and their leaders in any kind of traditional or industry standard sense that you could leverage as professional experience.Not to mention the AdvisoryCloud database of companies is severely lacking; Im in tech and there wasnt anything relevant. Saw an ad on LinkedIn to register for the AdvisoryCloud networking platform to explore board opportunities. I was curious and so I clicked, which led to a call to action for me to set up a time to learn more. Only after taking the time to have the call did I learn that this is a subscription model where I would be charged monthly to be on this networking platform. In addition, half the call focused on the account exec telling me how great the company is instead of telling me what the opportunity is for me the customer.Not a transparent value proposition or clear product definition for the consumer. I hope they improve their user experience.

I think that the AdvsioryCloud offering is a solid offering for sort of crowd-sourced board seeding. My issue is that I didnt spend enough time in the AdvisoryCloud ecosystem simply because as an M&A advisory business developer, I didnt have enough time to do so. I would recommend AdvisoryCloud to others but I would suggest that they fully understand the operational details of how it works, the reality of getting equity or paid board memberships if you dont have enought time to spend in the ecosystem. Overall thought, from a customer sat experience, Im pleased, specifically with how responsive customer service was and allowing me to get out of the service not at the contractual obligation level but at the level of one human being trying to help another human being. This isnt easy to find these days in the world of ARR / subscription based services offerings. Thank you for the experience!

Signed up 2 years ago hoping to expand my professional network. Logged in once, overall experience was limited - uninteresting companies listed, so I cancelled the service. Then the company decided to charge me a $950 annual renewal fee a few weeks ago. Ok, mistakes happen - I emailed customer service and was treated very poorly. Citing policy, terms and conditions and no record of cancellation as to why I couldnt receive a simple refund despite noticing them within weeks of the charge posting. Regardless, no notice was provided to me of an upcoming charge for renewal, nor had I used to product since - so it seems to me that a simple refund should be warranted. Instead, Ive received nothing but combative emails from customer service and stonewalling. Very disappointing product and service. Do not let these scammers get your credit card info.

The profile (a sort of professional resume write-up) was just a rip-off of my LinkedIn page. I quickly requested to cancel and they denied my request. At first they wanted to pause my account. Then they explained they were changing the platform. When I called back to make the cancellation official I was denied again. I feel Im owed the $200 and $195.Some candidates were expecting jobs and charging a fee just makes it more difficult for that person. I was looking for a meaningful position with a non-profit company because I enjoy that type of work.

When I originally signed up with AdvisoryCloud, I had a job that allowed me some leeway in my daily scheduling, so that I could advise a company or two on their communications strategies. About two months later, my job situation changed, and I went from a salaried position to my own business with four clients that suddenly caused my schedule to fill up. Over a period of time, AdvisoryCloud slipped onto the second shelf and I found I didnt have time to use its services. When I was charged another quarterly fee for it, I immediately called customer services and asked for a refund. Fortunately, I was able to negotiate a way to obtain a refund for the servies I wasnt able to use. The companys customer satisfaction officer was very nice about it after hearing my story and was able to issue me a refund--even when legally she didnt have to do so. I am very appreciative of the companys willingness to meet me halfway. I run a small software development company and believe there would be value in the platform by looking for potential advisory board opportunities. The platform requires a good deal of commitment to actually see some value. That is ok, as long as you have a couple hours a week to work on connecting with potential boards.My biggest concern is their billing practices, they are predatory and will automatically renew your subscription without emails, notice. Even after you had explicitly stated you wanted your account paused. The cancellation process requires you to jump through hoops and it is simply put shady.Be very cautious, of this company. I do not recommend to use this platform.

They tell you that they have many high quality companies in their platform but in reality only a handful of small companies are available to connect with. I reached out to three to be a potential advisor and never heard back, not even sure if these are real companies or if they get communication that somebodys interested. When I tried to cancel they refuse to refund the quarterly payment that they deducted from a credit card despite several attempts to the extent that I had to file official complaint with state and federal government. These kind of businesses should not be legally allowed to operate and as next step I do plan to take some legal action against them.

I am participating in a two week trial with Advisory Cloud (AC) as an Advisor. I have been linked with one company, and have participated in a quarterly Q&A with the CEO. My onboarding specialist did a great job of looking over my resumé and creating descriptions and the like. She walked me through all the steps needed to start, and had even found three candidate companies for me to start with. Im sorry to say that this is a disappointment. There is no value in this service, which is ok, I guess is not for everyone. But the MAJOR PROBLEM here is that the cancellation is hidden under many layers of obscure and unpocpose distractions, so this can be labeled as a SCAM. So after you sort for half an hour into finding how to cancel they tell you that they are not gonna reply but in 2 days (which is intentionally to CHARGE you the renewal as well) and than they have a 15 days policy to cancel subscriptions, which doesnt make any sense. So if you paid for 3 months subscription and you decide the last day to cancel, they force you to wait 15 days just to CHARGE you again. Im just waiting my Bank statement to file a claim

Total scam. They hounded me for weeks to try it, I agreed. They took my cc (big mistake) with the “cancel anytime” lie. After I checked it out more, I wrote them to cancel (to several of the sales folks who were hounding me) and forgot about it. They still billed my credit card and now the charge is in dispute. Not a good product. Not an ethical service.How these people sleep at night is beyond me.

Seems like scam, very heavy sales pitch, money up front and no one seems to make money except for them. CEO didn’t even get degree, never run large corp or been on boards, they have the nerve to charge to set up profile. I did check on services found HUNDREDS of review that state that once paid, all they did was import LinkedIn profile and so called member services were weak or non existent. With payment up front there is NO incentive for AC to get placements for members. I reached out to the supposed clients on LinkedIn NOT ONE would confirm or speak re their successes, hardly a glowing review

The onboarding is worthless. Waste of money. They wrote the summary for me, and the reading level according to the Hemingway app was 14! Never got any requests within a 6 month period. Also if you dont cancel before 15 days before renewal, they are going to charge you anyway. They have a directory with your name in it, but does anyone ever look at it? This is as worthless as an internet phonebook listing. For that reason, this is a scam. Stay away.

SCAMERS incarnate!! First, someone has been using my credit card for their services. My attempts to contact and resolve the fradulante charges went unreturned, and I thought the company did not exist. The first time I learned about them followed the fraudulent charges. Second, the only 5 star ratings given to this company are from people that are related to or work for AC. They have less than 10 previous reviews, some have 1 or 2. It seems like they signed up only to give themselves a 5. Very devious.

Do not contact this company in any way. I made the mistake to contact them. At least I didnt pay them a dime. Read the reviews. Over 12% of the reviews are HORRIBLE. Now I get emails every day even though I unsubscribed and reported as spam. I still get the emails. I emailed them and let them know that I was not interested. I asked to be removed from their list. No response, emails keep coming. Dont get fooled. Avoid any contact with this company.

This is a SCAM. They give away a free trial that if you dont cancel during the trial, will lock you into paying WAY too much for FAKE companies. They dont have any way to talk to them, avoid giving you your refund, and is total BS. CAVEAT EMPTOR this is a scam.
