Having Noz be our guiding light through our first home design project was a true blessing in many ways. We purchased a new construction house in the Pacific Palisades and while the delivered finishes were well done, we wanted to make it a home that reflected our personal style. Knowing that our design preferences leaned conservative, we engaged Noz to push our boundaries and introduce design concepts and combinations that we would have otherwise never thought of ourselves.The added challenge was to make our home child-friendly for our toddler and incoming twin infants. Noz consulted on every room in the house, and here are the highlights: (i) an incredible four-bunk bedroom for our children to grow up in, (ii) a finished entertainment basement with media built-ins that had to be designed with very specific measurements in mind to house a vinyl record collection, (iii) a formal living room that had to be highly conducive to Christmas decorating, including the reupholstering of two antique seating pieces and the re-tiling of a fireplace and (iv) installing wainscoting and custom wallpaper in our dining room.From start to finish, Noz’s consultation on our six bedrooms and many other common spaces spanned about 5 months, during which she maintained constant contact, even during her personal vacation in Japan.We have been very impressed with her taste, direction, professionalism and swiftness of execution. Above all, Noz had a deep respect for our stated design budget and at no point did we feel like we were compromising design integrity to make our budget work. She was encouraging during times when we were on the fence about certain choices, and professional during times when we weathered internal disagreements about what general direction to take. She took constructive criticism of proposed mood boards very well and her reiterations were always closer to our vision.We recommend Noz Design to anyone without reservation.
