Simple fix of wiping graphics drivers via windows and clean installing via windows. I wouldnt have minded paying the fix for such a service yet they tried to scam me of $499 to replace 2 hard drives that have no OS or drivers installed into them. When I stated that and asked why, the owner didnt give much of an explanation and then said that hell reduce that price to $399. His infamous words of money doesnt mean everything is his hook. I did my research before picking up computer because I am not computer illiterate and consulted Windows only to get multiple responses from advisers and tech support that what I was offered was a scam. I went to pick up my computer and confronted owner. He stayed true in his stance even when I explained what Microsoft said. He said he would have diagnosed my computer for free if I called him personally. He was willing to return my $50 diagnosing fee. I asked if I unplugged my HDDs the problem should not occur and he said most likely but not guaranteed. I said for him to keep the $50 because I know workers need to get paid. Went home, did said action only to still experience my same problem. Went to Microsoft store the following week and they recommended Micro Center. Micro Center fixed my PC next day and said it was a corrupted conflicting graphics driver and did previously said fix for free, only paying diagnosing fee of $40. Although HB Computers owners practice was predatory, he stayed mannered. I understand paying for utilities, venue, workers, and supporting family, but I am disappointed that he would try to make so much out of me over an easy fix. I am sure this owner does great work with businesses that need help that have larger contracts but for personal work, I would look elsewhere. Oh and they lost a screw to my case... There is a lot more to be said regarding their diagnoses section and the screen captures but It is for their reference of them knowing that I am paying attention.

As an update to my previous review I decided to upgrade my computer recently. Tom and Annette did a great job making my new computer look exactly like the old one. All of the data and software packages, and email were transferred without a glitche and I was able to plug in the cords and have everything running in 5 minutes. As a repeat customer, I continue to highly recommend using them!Wow! Tom and Annette are the best. I need my computer to run well as Im self-employed and rely on it the entire day. I woke up this morning to a really slow internet that made it basically inoperable. After consulting with Tom in the morning, he recommended their priority service, whereby if I brought it in immediately, he would work on it for a slightly higher price. I brought it in this afternoon and have it back and running better than ever at 4:00 pm. Tom and Annette are very professional; they asked a lot of questions about what the problems were and what we were trying to achieve. Tom called me a couple times at home to explain what he was doing. He cleaned-up Google Chrome extensions, replaced my ad blocker, and did a variety of other things that massively increased the speed (even better than before my problem). I cant say enought about my positive experience at Coast Computer; professional and pleasant service, exceeding my expectations, and very fast turnaround time. They are now my go to computer repair stop in Huntington Beach.
