Dr. Mira is great. The 2-stars review is more for the dental hygienists that support her. They vary greatly. If you get stuck with Elizabeth, do yourself a favor and ask to reschedule with someone else.

Zen Dental has exceptional reception staff, dental hygenists, and a great dentist too! I am always greeted with a friendly smile from the receptionist Amelia, who is very kind. Dr. Cayco does excellent work and I have got both fillings and crowns done by her. The dental hygenist I had here, is hands down, the best dental hygenist I have ever had. She has awesome tips on how to improve oral health and hygiene. I am so thankful that the Zen Dental team has helped me and are continuing to support me with the dental work I need to get done. Update! Ive been coming here for about 6 years, and I come quarterly. After they swapped Amelia with new staff, this place has gone down.After neglecting my Steve Harveys for quite some time, I finally pulled my jeans high and tight and walked into Zen Dental. I loved the atmosphere at the old location, and now, even more at the new location. The staff is very friendly and the work they do is the best ! around! Nothings gonna ever keep em down. Tldr: Their dentists are amazing but their billing staff is horrendous.It deeply saddens me to write this review after Ive used Zen Dental for years both before and after the pandemic. They have always provided some of the best dental hygiene service Ive had in my life, but their billing department is beyond horrendous.My fiancee has, for the last year, continually been billed to an old dental plan she no longer uses. We have explained this over half a dozen times, and given them the updated information. Each time we were promised that this would never happen again, and yet it still occurred.We have been over charged time and time again and its just not worth the headaches and hoops we have to jump through just for a simple teeth cleaning.I hope they improve/replace their billing department asap, as I hate to leave such a wonderful staff who treated our family so well all these years.

So far this is the best dental office I have been to. It had been about two years since I had any dental work done. I called the office and left a message letting them know I had some needed work done. They returned my call that same morning and scheduled me that same day. The Dental tech took x-rays and did a fabulous job on cleaning my teeth ( she took her time and was gentle). I had some areas that were a bit sensitive, so I was a bit nervous. She did such a great job and was super careful that I didn’t feel any discomfort. Dr. Mira has always been super caring and takes her time with me. I always leave feeling well cared for. The whole staff is friendly from when first check in to when you check out. Also their office always looks clean and the decor is super modern. I highly recommend this office to my friends and family.

Front desk lady was very unwelcoming and condescending, I felt very uncomfortable. She was visibly annoyed whenever I had questions about the treatments. I heard great things about this practice and I am disappointed to see that they do not treat everyone here with the same respect. Besides that they don’t have very clear communication about pricing, I was told a very different price in person than I was told on the phone. Additionally, I was never sent emails regarding necessary paperwork but I was hassled to complete it? Like how can I complete paperwork I’ve never received. Overall what put me off was the treatment recieved by the receptionist, whenever you enter a new space the last thing you need is to feel unwelcomed, do better, everyone deserves to feel respected.

I really appreciate zen.This is the first dentist Ive visited in an admittedly long time so my issues are vast and numerous, but Dr. Mirabel and the front desk crew really make it all feel manageable.They gave me a dental insurance 101 lecture on how it all works, as well as what I could expect to pay right down to simply knowing what in and out of network means. No questions were trivial and not once did I feel they were talking down to me for being so ignorant.Now Ive got a dental plan! Feels good to say.So far Ive been in the process of getting a crown and during the fitting Dr. Mirabel found that it didnt quite cover a sliver of tooth that was slightly discolored and immediately told me. She offered to go ahead with the instal or to make a more esthetically pleasing one that covered the area. She couldve said nothing like the previous dentists Ive been to and I wouldve been none the wiser, yet she didnt and I really appreciate that level of integrity.Ive found my dentist and am genuinely happy to visit. Its always positive news, even when Im feeling super self conscious about my dental hygiene, and It calms me to know Im getting the best treatment possible.Undisputable 5/5

I have let Zen Dental redeem themselves. I think they were suffering due to staffing issues due to Covid. Dr. Mira is very good. The facility is very clean. I had to go back because a filling was tearing all of my floss. It was mostly fixed but the front of my tooth isn’t completely smooth, it has a small ridge. Overall Zen Dental is fantastic but this one filling could be a better quality…I just don’t want to go back a third time for it.Old review for transparency: “I was frustrated that my medical history was not reviewed before my cleaning when I submitted it months ahead of time. I booked this appointment several months ago. When I arrived to the office I was told that a consultation with my primary care is needed before a cleaning can happen, which could have been arranged before my appointment. I’ve just been trying to get a cleaning here since March and it still hasn’t happened. Disappointed in the organization this clinic has. The doctor should review paperwork and be ready for a patient when they arrive. My time was wasted.”

I cannot even count the times I have called with an issue, and they were able to fit me in right away. Dr. Mira is great and such a fun person to see. I know it sounds crazy but I was looking forward to my first visit here today. I made the appt. a couple of months ago but they were able to squeeze us in sooner due to cancellations. I appreciated how friendly, professional, and skillful the team is here—Phil, Amelia, Stacy; Tracy did a great job cleaning my teeth, acknowledging my good home oral hygiene practices, and educating me along the way. Dr. Mira was efficient, attentive and clearly knows her stuff. Attractive office with screens so I could see my X-rays and photos loading in real time. Even the relaxing turtle swimming TV footage was nice and appreciated. We trust this team and are so grateful to have such a skilled, friendly and caring dental care.

I am very satisfied with the care I received at Zen Dental Care! The receptionist, Amelia, was so friendly and helpful, my Dentist, Maribel and Amy the Dental Hygienist were so informative and wonderful! My cleaning was surprisingly gentle, like a massage. Very Zen-like! Ive already recommended Zen Dental Care to a co-worker. Im actually excited to go back. Due to COVID-19, The establishment is very clean/sanitary and organized. Amelia, Kelly and entire staff at Dr. Mirabel are wonderful and great. During this pandemic we are all experiencing, I was a bit nervous to go to my appointment. However, I noticed they are setup to serve us well, while following all social distancing and mask guidelines. Dr. Mira and her team are incredible. Ive always had a lot of anxiety going to the dentist but over the past three years they have made going to the dentist something I enjoy and take pride in. Their updated office is so clean and gorgeous. The Tvs playing relaxing videos while they work on you is a fun touch, but the heart of Zen Dental, is the staff. Dr Mira is such a kind woman and an amazing doctor. Amelia is a welcoming face and Tracy does such a great job during dental cleanings. When I go its like being welcomed by friends and people that genuinely care about my health. I recommend Zen Dental Care for anyone who is looking for above and beyond dental care.

What a great team. You can definitely tell these people are happy where they work. Not your average dentist office. The energy of this space present an unexpected relaxing environment, from each great of the team to the safe in each room. The quality of service and comfort exceeds any office I’ve ever been too. So grateful to have this place in my Neighborhood. I originally went here to get a teeth whiting done but I think I will find myself coming back here to ensure I have quality service and product being used for my dental health. Dr. Mirabel Caycos dental office is a wonderful place for dentistry. Today, my dental hygienist was particularly good as she was both gentle and thorough. So appreciated! Highly recommended!This is my second review and Im happy to report that the new facility in Santa Rosa is quite impressive and even though its much bigger, there still is a sense of warmth when you arrive at this former bank! The interior design is both beautiful and calming. My dental hygienist this time was Jan who was very experienced and I felt immediately comfortable with her. Dr Mira is very skillful, compassionate, and really listens. I told her I don’t need a lot of anesthesia and she adjusted how much she used a step at a time, to accommodate me. She asked how I was doing as she worked.This morningI had four teeth removed and a bone graft. I’m doing really well - and told her so when she called to check on me. I’m very glad she is my dentist and recommend her highly.I take care to educate myself, ask lots of questions, and appreciate her clear explanations, too.

I was extremely impressed with Zen Dental and Dr. Mira. I had a filling fall out, and did not have a local dentist. Other places I had called, the day before Christmas eve, said they could not accommodate me until mid January. However, Zen Dental was able to take me in the next day, and Dr. Mira stayed late to finish my filling replacement as I had a 2 hr drive. The atmosphere was very welcoming, the office very modern, and the covid precautions excellent. I am delighted beyond my highest expectations, and will be using Dr. Mira for all our family dental needs going forward.

I am a huge fan of Zen dental care. Everything from their decor, to their dental assistants, to their appointment reminders, their incredibly talented director/owner. Today I had the most thorough teeth cleaning I have ever had, from a woman who was very knowledgeable. A few months ago in the midst of the pandemic my crown fell off and Zen Dental care replaced it for free. They are really wonderful and I always have a great experience there.

The office is beautifully appointed, the equipment new and cutting edge, and the friendly faces of the staff make you immediately at ease. Amelia, the first smiling face you see on arrival, has always been so happy and upbeat, and Dr Mira is the kindest, friendliest dentist Ive ever met outside of pediatric dentistry. Another wonderful experience with Dr. Mira and her staff. I highly recommend her dental practice.While I definitely recommend this practice, I felt bullied by dental hygienist to make an appointment for teeth cleaning at 4 months. My insurance only covers every 6 months. When I explained that to her, she kept pressing me to make an extra appointment that I would have to pay out of pocket. I made the appointment so she wouldn’t keep badgering me. I canceled the appointment later. This is not okay

Zen Dental Care is a wholistic experience, from its thoughtfully-designed clean and modern environment to the massage chairs and high tech equipment. Zen Dental fixed my emergency tooth quickly, and it was, dare I say, fun! Dr. Mira was super kind, accommodating and helpful. I had recently gotten some work done elsewhere that left me with a seriously messed up bite. I needed it corrected immediately as I was going crazy not being able to close my mouth and eat properly. Dr. Miras office took me in within 24 hours, no questions asked. It turns out that while I was there, Dr. Anderson (Dr. Miras mentor, functional medicine dentist and cosmetic dental specialist) was there and he came in to offer input on how to correct my bite. He offered to do the work himself if I preferred. I said yes and got both Dr. Mira and Dr. Anderson working on me at the same time. What a dream! They were both very kind, skillful, compassionate and non-judgmental about the bad work I was asking them to correct. My bite is WAY better now and I am so grateful. Dr. Miras office was willing to give me a discount as I was paying out of pocket. I would absolutely recommend this office to anyone, especially those who need emergency work. This might be the first review I’ve ever left, but I wanted to suggest this place to anyone with worries about dentists (whether you’re embarrassed about something, scared of going to the dentist, or anything else). I was looking for a really gentle place because I’ve had bad experiences before, and I also hadn’t been to the dentist in at least two years, with a long history of bad dental health. I expected to be having a panic attack the whole time, but the environment is calming and the people are so kind. They were completely non-judgmental and genuinely positive about me deciding to finally come in. It was the most comfortable experience I have ever had at a dentist and I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. They genuinely inspired me to have a new outlook on dental health and really take it seriously.I need a lot of work done on my teeth and they sat with me for a long time to look for the cheapest possible option for me and prioritize what is most important. I plan on working with them for as long as I live in the area and have so much less anxiety about my dental health, dental visits, and my ability to afford treatment. I am genuinely looking forward to getting my teeth to the healthiest they can be in the next year or two with this business (it will only take this long because I have very unhealthy teeth and need to space out when I get treatments because of finances)A good note to any young individuals who don’t have good dental hygiene - I am 19 and have very bad teeth already, so please motivate yourself to improve your dental health if at all possible and try to have frequent dental visits!! I love this office, the dentist and her staff. Met hygienist yesterday and really like her also.Addition of massage chair in the waiting room is a real bonus. I am scared and I mean scared of the dentist and Kelly at the front desk was so sweet and made me feel like I was making the right choice in the office I was choosing. When I did my Initial visit, everyone was very kind and easy on the nerves (have bad anxiety about dentist). I was grateful for the payment options Phil provided as I didn’t have dental insurance. I went in for a root canal and Dr. Garces and his assistant were AMAZING! I didn’t feel a thing! I can honestly say I trust a dentist- not all, but I do trust this place. I highly recommend going here.

This was my first visit. I was pleased to see a sink and hand washing station at the front door. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. The hygienist seemed new to the office but was pleasant albeit nervous. The dentist approached my room and began yelling her introduction. I am 75 years old with very good hearing and I considered this ageist in her assuming I was most likely hard of hearing because of my age. Her voice did eventually soften. The other thing that was off putting was what I felt was pushiness. They suggested expensive treatments that no other dentist had before. I will continue to try to work with them because there are other aspects that are positive: a modern office, state of the art equipment and cool tv screens in the rooms. The teeth cleaning I had was thorough.

I have to say I was afraid to go anywhere given the Covid19 situation but I had to get a crown over my implant.This dental office is by far the most clean office that I have EVER been into. Ive always feared going to the Dentist because of the environment and getting work done on my teeth. However, when Zen Dental was recommended to me by a co-worker, I thought lets give them a try. Due to COVID, I wasnt able to get a new consult for a few months, but once I did, I loved it. Phil and Amelia, the front office staff, are both great!I had not been to the dentist in a long, long time and Dr. Mira laid out a plan for me. Then Tracy took me back to get pictures and digital x-rays of all my teeth.The photo/x-ray process was more thorough than any Ive ever had, faster, and more comfortable for my mouth.Both Tracy and Doctor Mira did very thorough exams of my teeth, finding some issues with crowns my previous dentist had done. I havent been to the dentist in years because Im so terrified of dentists. Fortunately, Dr Cayco was awesome. Today, with two business days left before I’ll be on a small boat in the Alaskan wilderness for a week with no access to a phone, the internet, doctors or dentists, etc., a tooth suddenly became extremely sensitive following several days of it feeling a little strange. I worried what might happen if it worsened during my trip.I happened to be driving past Zen Dental, and decided on the spur of the moment to just go in and ask them about it. I recently transferred my dental care to Zen after my previous dentist retired. The practice was clearly very busy when I showed up, so I was surprised when the front desk person started checking schedules and rooms and doctors, and put together an examination for me within 15 minutes. An X-ray was quickly taken and the doctor reviewed the film and examined me. She identified the problem and referred me to a specialist who will perform a root canal at 7:15am tomorrow. All this was achieved in under an hour.I’m very appreciative to Zen Dental not only for their swift, caring and professional response, but also for getting me in to see the doctor in the middle of a very busy day, and for the doctor identifying the problem so quickly. When Zen Dental staff then arranged for a specialist to see me early tomorrow morning, I was really impressed.I’ve been to this dental practice three times including today, and each time I’ve been there, I’ve been struck by the people who work there. Every person I’ve dealt with seems to be genuinely warm and engaging, which in my experience is a little unusual for a medical practice, which can often be a stressful work environment. But Zen Dental really has it together - dare I say they really are very “Zen” - and I think they must be working with a very powerful business model.A person getting a root canal in 12 hours shouldn’t be this happy, but that’s how good Zen Dental is, lol.

I am an anxious dental patient and was nervous about looking for a new dentist. I was very pleased to find that they have a form for new patients that addressed factors that contribute to anxiety related to dental procedures - so that they can help you relax. This practice offers noise-canceling headphones and have flatscreen TVs mounted above the chair with Netflix. There is ample parking around the building, often with shade. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Dr. Mira does good work, it has held up well. Shes also very efficient at post-procedure bite corrections (bite on the carbon paper and they shave down the surface where the bite doesnt fit). Personally I hate sitting through a long procedure only to spend another half hour making minute adjustments to the bite for my jaw to close comfortably -- but Dr. Mira is especially good at this and Ive been very happy with how quickly she finds a good fit.I was very impressed when I went in for 2 fillings, cued up a 30 minute show to distract me, and the work was done and cleanedup before the show was over.

From the friendly, super on top of it front desk staff, to the responsive dental assistant and the VERY SKILLED Dr. Cayco.I have a very sensitive mouth and although I take very good care of my teeth and promptly attend my dental needs, I usually dread visits. I needed an emergency crown due to a large piece of a previously done crown (many years ago) had cracked and broke off.From the completely pain free injection to numb, and completely throughout the procedure, it was COMPLETELY PAIN FREE! There was nothing zen about this place. Tried to make an appt. yesterday. Talked to Phil. He said that he would call back and never did. Called again today. I have a general dentist far away but needed one close to home and cosmetic. Plus had an ER dental need. They said that I would need to turn over my complete care to them. I said,”how do I know if I like you?” They said that they would have to do an initial intake. I would have paid it just to get the stay plate. Made they made it seem as though I would need to have a couple appointments before I would get my tooth fixed. It was an ER. It was the front tooth. I did not like how I had to promise them that they would be my dentist and take over my care w/o having an appt with them. The lady I spoke to-when I was asking questions didn’t seem like she understood or could answer my questions. She said after let me get you the name of some other dentists. I said no thank you. The crazy thing is-that if they were actually good I would have stuck with them. I called someone and instantly got an appt.
