Have been going here for years, albeit not for the fair but for a private event. However have been using the RV campgrounds for that amount of time.Most all of the sites have 50 amp pedestals, and presence of water, though some are a little more obscure than others.If you happen to have a group event where youre renting halls, the campgrounds are a wonderful way to stay nearby, without having to pay hotel rates!

Lots of great childhood memories of 4-H, fairs, and rodeos. Saw Roy Clark perform. The fairgrounds serves us in so many ways, now for vaccination distribution.

My son attends preschool here in the off season of the county fair and currently some of the campfire victims from paradise are living in motor homes on the far end of the property. Its also a charter school in the off season. Scenery is still very nice for a stroll.

Nice sunny day, we decided to check it out !! It was Seniors Day admission was free! We walked around saw all the rides, the food stands, and vendors. I was in awe to hear the people auctioning off the livestock voice as they quickly introduce and places the bids for a sale!! Best wishes to the person who bought the pregnant heffer !!We enjoyed our corn dogs and kettle popcorn!!

Really lovely fairgrounds with tons of beautiful grassy areas. Also, loads of mature trees, well manicured grounds, very clean, nice bathrooms and shower facilities. We had our 40 foot Class A RV, we were there for the Gold Country Kennel Club Dog Show. Great weekend despite the heat, not typical for this time of the year.

Large fairgrounds with a variety of different size bldgs. to hold events, parties, home shows and so much more. Restrooms, parking. But across the street is lot which is free.

Worst organization!! Spent almost 2 hours to buy tickets and get in to stand in another line to buy ride tickets!! Not to mention $40 a kid for a ride wrist band!! Youre better off skipping the local fair and going to the State fair!!!

They throw a wonderful fair and really help enrich the lives of youth from all over 2 counties . My kids have shown here for years and when we debated moving we made sure our kids would still be able to be in THIS fair. Wonderful job!!

Well we went specifically for the derby. It would have been better if the destruction derby had more than 3 cars. Im sorry, but that is NOT a derby. The little kids in the beginning were the most entertaining part. They were adorable! But we wont go back in the future. Really nice vendors though. Some were ridiculously over priced, but thats with any fair you go to.

This is my honest opinion of RV camping at the Yuba Sutter Fairgrounds. Important to keep in mind that this is not the usual RV campground scenario where the main goal is to acquire campers to stay on the grounds. This is a county fairground that is essentially offering its grounds to campers when the fairground is not in use, I assume primarily to keep money flowing into the coffer. I got the feeling that campers are mostly tolerated at best. The camping photos (and RV camping map) on the website show the beautiful grounds for the campers, however, that must be primarily for winter camping. After a few weeks of camping on the grounds and as the weather grew warmer, we were told to move to the smallest section of the fairgrounds not pictured on the website, abutting Garden Highway, a very busy road with traffic noise that runs all night. After some discussion with management about the nightly traffic noise in that section, we were allowed to stay at our original location, but at a higher fee than what we were previously paying. (The website now addresses the price difference between the two sections, where previously it did not.) The bathrooms/showers are adequate, not heated and not all that clean. There really aren’t many other options for camping in or near Yuba City. It’s a pretty spot and we mostly enjoyed our stay, however, I would not stay in the campground section next to the highway.

My husband and I attended the food and wine tasting event. There was a lot of delicious food to taste and the vendors were all very friendly. The band playing was a nice addition to the cheerful atmosphere. The fairgrounds itself looked well cared for and the parking was free.

Went here for a festival and had a great time. The grounds were clean and well tended. There was security checking bags at the gate and walking around too. There were two bleachers for seating to listen to music, although most people brought their own folding chairs. Everyone, young and old seemed to be enjoying the music.

Nice place. Always some event going on. Bridal shows, gardening shows, dances, bands, carnivals, monster trucks, etc. Easy to get to. Plenty of parking. Everyone very friendly. Lots of room for any event.

What a delightful little RV park! Attended a rally and couldnt have been happier with the grounds and meeting facilities. RV sites are all on grass with abundant shade trees. Very pretty. Theres a nice community park next door as well. The only negative that kept me from rating this with 5 stars is that the surrounding neighborhood is slightly questionable. We had no trouble while we visited however.

Love the park they have a lot of things to do for the community during the summer months. They also have it absolutely clean for you and thats a plus. I love the bands that play during the summer months. Check it out one of our best parks in Yuba City.

Went to the Home & Garden Show, it was very nice, set up well, lots of vendors...found some fabulous knives, a lot of great sauces etc. The only thing was the food court only had 2 food vendors plus a bar. Sorry., but samples just do not fill you up. Thanks for Justin,s Kitchen after the show!

Went to the Guides dinner last night and had the worst experience I’ve ever had entering any event. The security that is contracted through the fair grounds was so unprofessional, upon entering they were waving the metal detector on everyone, when one of the guards touched my hair ( like patted ) my hair and told me how soft and pretty it was! Umm ok 😦my husband asked him to not touch me again the guard started laughing and said “watch it sir, I can ruin your night by not letting you enter.” Whatever this guy is a punk who thinks he has power with pepper spray. We make it in a little while later I had to run back to my car to grab a check... I was told I had exactly 3 minutes or I wouldn’t be aloud back in. Umm I paid $100 for a ticket I’m getting back in.( wonder if they were going to time me). This has nothing to do with the Guides dinner and the people who put it on, we were told they had no control of security. I hope whom ever runs the fair see’s this and addresses this.I’ll definitely be calling first thing in the morning and hoping I’m able to speak to someone in person about these rent a cops .

It is a very nice place to have your special Events. It is a great oportunity for your family to enjoy the multicultural Events that take place in the Yuba Sutter Fairgrounds, through out the year. Sometimes they have Carnival rides for kids, and in other occations they have monster trucks, shows. It does depend on the time of the year. Overall this place is great, usually the Restrooms are clean . Great Customer Service, and Security. CALIFORNIA 2018.

I am a square and round dancer and my visit there (each year) was/is to attend the annual Harvest Hoedown Festival. The grounds are well set up, with hook-ups for RVs, room for camping, lots of convenient restrooms, and venders inside the main hall. The grounds are well-kept and green. Great buildings for fair displays or to be used for varied activities. By the way--square dancing is a great fun, social, and physically active pastime. As a mother when i heard the commercial for the fair i got excited, it was presented to be more affordable this year. For adventure pack its 52.50 . My family being a family of 5 and havong 50 tickets which is what comes in the adventure pack we only got to ride 2 rides . It was hard to tell where any line began or ended a corn dog which was by no means tasty was 7.00$ . The new family rides were not big enough half the time for the whole family to participate in so the small child would have to go on their own and by no means was the staff helpful specially on the kid fun houses/slides one child got scarrd at the top of a bridge frozen in fear the line behind him started to get big kids were shaking this little rope bridge they were standing on while the worker watvhed untol parents started yelling. nothing at this place was truly affordable for a big family with limited income i will not be returning due to false advertising and lack of caring for the people attending the fair.

Stay Away! Can I give negative stars??? Normally I would give this three stars, 3.5 if they actually had WiFi which they dont. But the staff make this an absolute 100% avoid at all cost situation. Once you are finished getting wholly conflicting information from the various office staff, you then have to deal with the host, who is the grounds maintenance man. Very angry, hostile and threatening guy. Nobody needs this level of yelling. This guy is obviously very unhappy with his job and his workmates. Oh, and all the spaces are back-in regardless of what the website says. Pull-through at your own risk of being kicked out by the host!

As a kid, I spent a lot of time at YS Fairgrounds showing sheep. Its a great place to attend or hold events, the carnival at the fair is always a good time, and the county fair was a HUGE part of my childhood.

Very disappointed with rides bought risk band in advance and they said must be 36 well I think that is discrenation to my grandson whom is a midget and has more since that half the kids getting on the rides. They would even let a old sibling ride with him. Also for the old teens only bout 6 or 8 rides the fair has went down. The operators of rides could not speak English to talk to us, whata joke. Will not spend any money next year to attend will keep it for the Grass Valley fair.
