Ive always loved World Market I think theyre great they have a bunch of really cool stuff I will say theyre a little rough on trying to sell you things but besides that I go to the store once a week they have the best marinara sauce and theyve got really great tees and coffees you know I mean if you shop there you know what its like but theyre starting not to have as much stuff which I understand you can only eat it in todays economy have so much stuff you know in your brick and mortar store but yeah the people that work there are very nice its just theres this one person there that is always trying to get a cell which turns me off like then I dont want to buy it but anyways yeah love the store I would go to it I keep going to it I really like it

Went shopping here the other day! They have alot of selections, stuff for the kitchen, bathroom and was hoping for more furniture stuff for the living room and bedroom but it was alittle short in that department fun place to come and see what is needed for your home and also some beverages and food stuff.

I really like this store, but my last experience changed it all. I was shopping and picking up items for my cart. When I was called to check out, the clerk asked if someone helped me or did I pick up the items myself. I told him that I was shopping and collecting everything on my own. He then stated that there was a process to this and that some of the items that I picked were for floor viewing, not for sale, and I needed to have someone get those items from the stock room. I told him that those items were simply on the floor with price tags and there weren’t any labels stating that they were floor samples. So he went to the back and brought up two new boxes that clearly needed to be installed. I told him that I didn’t want them if I had to install them. He asked me again and also asked if I could put them together. I said that normally I could, but that I didn’t have the time. He then insults me by saying that it was ok and “everyone has different skill levels”. Not sure what my skill level has to do with not having time to setup two pieces of furniture.This was Christmas Eve and I was prepping for dinner. Anyway, this was my experience. I did purchase other items, but not sure if I would go back to this location again.

Today, I wanted to visit this store with my service dog in-training and was refused entry by an employee. The employee asked me if my dog is a service dog and I honestly answered that she is in training. The person then asked me what task she can perform and I answered but the employee kept probing if she then was for mental support (which 1. they are not allowed to ask and 2. I think she was trying to imply that my dog was for emotional support rather than a service dog). We felt really weird and embarrassed. My dog has been allowed everywhere, including restaurants, grocery stores, and other Worldmarket stores as well. We have never been asked to leave. Our dog is very well behaved and trained to obey. The employee kept saying that they got investigated a lot lately by the Health department etc. When we went back to the parking lot, at least three other dogs entered and the owners were not approached with questions or refused entrance. Puzzled, I went back in without my dog and told the employee that I am in fact handicapped and she could see my plaque but the employee completely ignored me and looked away when I talked to her which was totally rude & unprofessional.Needless to say I will never return to this store. Why we were singled out is beyond me (maybe because our dog is a bully breed?), when everyone else was allowed to enter.Just a fair warning for other dog owners.The whole situation was very uncomfortable and embarrassing.

Great shop for everything from food to furniture. They also have a great wine selection too. Hanna on staff there is super helpful and nice. There is lots of easy parking in the back. They often have sales and coupons that stack for great savings. Also a great place to stop for gifts.

I don’t usually shop here, but wanted to check it out. Nice variety of things, but I asked the manager if he knew if they had a particular item in their Burbank store, and he told me he didn’t know and that I should go there myself and see! I did want the few items I had, so I went to check out. I told the cashier, Michael what happened and he called the Burbank store and had the item held for me. He was so friendly and knowledgeable that I left the store with a smile. He should be the manager in my opinion. 5 stars for MICHAEL M. only!

I just have to give a 5-star shoutout to Jennifer for being incredibly helpful and friendly. I came to this store from across town because they had a piece of furniture in stock that I wanted to pick up in store. Unfortunately, I realized pretty quickly that it was not going to fit in my car as I had hoped. First Jennifer offered to let me store it until I could come back with a bigger vehicle. She also pointed out that other customers had success in calling an uber/lyft, loading it in, and then driving home behind the uber to unload it at the other end, which is what I ended up doing. She insisted on waiting with me outside for almost 15 minutes past closing (after my first driver took almost 15 minutes to arrive and then canceled due to a mechanical issue with their car!) to make sure that I got everything taken care of, and she also gave me advice on how to handle the box, since it was VERY heavy. She was also just about as nice as can be, even though I could tell she was very busy with other tasks. Thank you Jennifer for being a rock star!

Very helpful and friendly service. The sales lady reminded me that they emailed out a coupon before I made a furniture purchase. She was patient while I looked up my email and accessed the coupon. I always appreciate saving a buck and this is my way of paying it forward. I find that going here during the week days is less crowded and I get more individual attention. They also offered help to load the furniture in to my car which was super nice too. I got a couple of laughs in during the process which makes everything seem to go a little faster. This is my way of paying it forward.

I love this store so much, their designs are gorgeous and the prices are fantastic. For the quality of the items, they could be charging double! Their food section is also fab! Imported items (such as McVitie’s digestives) are expensive but that’s to be expected.Staff are super friendly too. They have sales often so would recommend signing up for their emails / rewards.

Cost Plus World Markets World Explorer program is one of my favorite customer-rewards programs. Their promos are fun and exciting. I always enjoy shopping here, even when the free coffee or teas empty. This particular store boasts an ample parking lot, clean restrooms, and super friendly associates. Im an Indiaphile, so Ive loved their merchandise since the 80s. Whenever Im in the area I always have to pop in and see their latest finds. I love the thick American Indian blankets, their clever cooking gadgets, exotic pillows, rugs, lamps, towels, stoneware... Always a very friendly staff. This location has a free parking lot. Its a smaller store but still full of plenty to see and buy.

This isnt our local cost plus but we made an online order because it showed that it was the nearest store with the chairs we where looking for. We got an email 2 days later that our order was ready for pick up. We called and confirmed before we made the drive. We got there, informed the cashier we where there for a pick up. She called a sales associate, we waited, she called again, we waited. 25 minutes later someone comes and we think hes coming our way to confirm our order.. but what he says instead is, i cant find two of your chairs, theres a box there but it isnt the right color. Why they where missing after the company send us emails to confirm and the calls we made confirming so we didnt drive all the way out for no reason.. is not his fault. But instead of making us stand there for 40 minutes, he could have just told us what was going on.. we would have been upset but wouldnt have waisted our time.

I love Cost Plus, since it offers reasonably priced merchandise from all over the world. They also have a very good loyalty program. When youre a member you have special sales. You can get food, Furniture, clothing, kitchenware, lighting, drapes, almost any type of houseware need is available. The staff, while minimal, are very helpful. The only thing I do not like is that regardless of your age they card you when buying alcohol. I resent being over 40 and still required to show somebody my ID.

My coworkers and I treat this store like an extension of our office. The amount of pure nonsense we buy from here is really inappropriate at times but MAN do we love this place. We can get anything from useful items (you know, wine, beer, gift cards) to useless (silly string, water balloons, random things). Great place to shop for our annual White Elephant gift exchange.

Tried to purchase a cheese platter, ordered online for pickup. First time I came in it was broken. They said they had some on a pallet would let me know when it was unpacked.They let me know I could pick it up on Thursday. Called them to make sure it would be on hold until Saturday; they confirmed.Saturday I come in and they go to look for it while I wait in line. 20 minutes pass and they inform me it was taken off hold and they don’t have any more in stock. They will be getting more in soon on Wednesday..... nope. I’ll amazon prime something else.The forethought and effort was put in to make this as simple as possible yet cost plus still found a way to mess EVERYTHING up.

We came here to just look around because World Market is that type of place. We ended up leaving here with a brand new rug for our apartment. Something I love about this location in particular is how kind and helpful the people are who work here. Ive been here many times and never had issue with service. There are always surprisingly great deals here, but not well advertised, especially on beers. If you catch the right moment when they have sales you can get your favorite artisan beer for 20-30% less than BevMo. They had my favorite Allagash Curioux for $14/bottle after discounts which is ridiculous! The only problem is that they have limited stock on items. I would have bought out the store, but sadly left with only 3 bottles.

3 years ago I would’ve given this store 5-stars. But it’s really picked over and there’s not a great selection of anything anymore. It was sad to see. Even the mainstay Indian spices aren’t carried anymore. Hopefully this all has to do with covid supply issues and not with store management or corporate management.

The managers at this store apparently feel it is acceptable to refuse service to customers whose transactions they personally feel are unimportant to their business.I stood in line TWICE, and was told that I would have to wait until after they served every single other customer in line. Since as long as the store was open, more new customers kept coming up to the line, this obviously meant I would have to wait until after the store closed - which would have been hours. Not being able to wait several hours for a simple transaction (after having already waited for over 20 min), I had no choice but to leave, which obviously they knew very well; this message was communicated to me by three different employees - 2 of them managers.Effectively this meant that they plain out refused me service.Ironically (since they clearly pegged me as an unimportant and undesirable customer on account of the type of transaction I needed on this visit), I happen to have a great deal of disposable income to spend and was actually quite interested in their product selection; I could have become a new regular customer who would have spent quite a bit of cash there. After receiving this kind of customer service though, theyve lost my business for life. I can just as well get that kind of faux-European merchandise in other stores or off Amazon.

First time here and i was maybe 4 steps inside with my dog into the store, one employee loudly sighs and rolls her eyes at me (she was steps away) and walks away and then another employee abruptly says “what service does your dog provide?????” i know for a fact that they are not allowed to ask this. she said i wasn’t allowed into the store. i’ve never felt more attacked at a random store i was visiting for the first time. saw other reviews of others having this similar experience. this store is literally next to a petco. never coming back.

Im in this place shopping and everyone welcomed me, they looked at me from head to toe, just because Im not wearing expensive clothes or expensive shoes, Im walking inside the store and the workers are looking for excuses to walk around me, which Its unfortunate, I feel so uncomfortable and Ill leave this place, how bad they make me feel! Just because Im wearing work clothes. It is very sad
