Been a customer for over 10 years, Ive never had an issue with service, delays, ordering extra pickups, billing, etc.Ive heard horror stories from friends in other cities about their waste management services but I really have nothing to gain by saying WM has been nothing less than excellent.Thank you for your service to the community.

Working with WM was a really good and positive experience. A new container was dropped off and the old one removed. That left me with 1 brand new container and 2-20 year old containers that also needed to be exchanged. I made one call to the office. The next pick-up day I left the other 2 old containers out and they magically disappeared and 2 brand new ones were left for me. Now THATs Customer Service!! Thank you WM!!

Ive benefited from Simi Valleys Waste Management for the last five years living in Calabasas. They are timely, send out proper notifications regarding changes in pick-up due to holidays. Their cans are in good order and extra pick-ups for large items are easy to arrange. I also appreciate the auto payment option which makes my life easier.

Great service and advance notice if a holiday delays pickup. Only issue is that everywhere on the world the blue bin is for recycling. But not here. It is for trash and the black bin is for recycling.

Good consistent service by friendly drivers. The app is helpful to find out any changes in the pick up schedule. If you need a replacement receptacle, an order can be placed on either the website or the app. Their delivery schedule will then let you know when that will occur.

Until this last move, Ive always had a positive experience w/ WM. I cannot say that anymore. I signed up for service again w/ WM after my last move about a week and a half ago. They said the earliest they could have waste containers to my house was in 7 days. 7 days later and a weeks worth of trash after a move, I still have yet to receive the waste containers. I called the following Monday hoping the containers would be delivered that day. They were not. It is now Tuesday and Im not all that sanguine that I will be receiving my waste containers today. Number of questions. 1. Why even take the containers at all from the house after people move out? The next occupant has no choice but to sign up since WM is the only refuse removal in the city. 2. After missing the initial drop off why not make the extra effort to get containers to the resident immediately. If my containers are not delivered today, I have half a mind to take the immense amount of trash in my garage and drop it off in front of my WMs local office.Follow up: After calling them today, they said they had been delivered yesterday. I assured them they were not and then they said that theyd be delivered tomorrow which is Wednesday. I talked to a supervisor named Leslie who told me they do not have inventory to deliver today. So either I was being lied to previously, or Leslie is lying to me now. Am I to believe that there is not a single bin they can deliver to my house to remedy the situation.

Started taking my payment automatically. I am NOT enrolled in auto pay. At times drivers leave trash behind that have fallen out during pick up. Ive needed new containers for years but havent gotten any.UPDATE; Got a nice reply and a promise to swap out cans. As usual no follow through. Possibility of a new collection company coming to town. Drop off of large container was to be in a 4 hr range (7-11:00), the day before I was told there was not guarantee what time but it ‘should’ be before 6:00 pm that day. My contractor was waiting for the dumpster to complete work he was billing me for. Terrible response from supervisor, only said ‘sorry for the wrong info given, she wouldn’t guarantee she would have it delivered when I was told… even after listening to my recorded original conversation. Very Poor Service for a $Bil company.

Our’s & our neighbors recycling bins were missed being serviced (up & down the street).I reported the problem & the bins were serviced the following day. Then the following week it happened again to everyone, our recycling bins were not serviced.Once again I had to report the problem & next day bins were serviced.Last week the bins were serviced so hoping the issue has been resolved.

The worst trash company! the driver is so lazy. he wants all the cars cleared out. It’s in a shopping center you are going to have to get out of your truck to get the trash bin! The driver had guts to tell me that I should take a Uber if I don’t know how to park my car or my car is clearly parked out of his way and all he has to do is get his butt out of his truck and pull the big dumpster container out and put it on his forks to lift it and dump it but he doesn’t want to do that. He expects to drive his truck right to the dumpster area you can’t do And then leaves the dumpster in the middle of the parking lot

Trash pick up is effectively executed. The online announcements regarding schedule change were incomplete, inaccurate, and late in arriving. Someone should be fired. The 1st email announcing a schedule change contained incomplete sentences without specifying new start date. The 2nd email had an incorrect date regarding start of new schedule. The 3rd email was sent the night before correct new schedule was to start. I hope you can do better next time.

I am mostly happy with the service we’ve received for the last almost 13 years. However, recently, one of our bins went missing (the blue trash bin). I was delighted that you replaced it, no charge. However, you replaced it with a black bin and now it’s really hard to tell which is bin is recycling and which is trash. We keep making mistakes. I wish we could exchange the black trash bin for a blue bin. Please.

Most ofthe time your drivers are great! A few times a year I have lots of green waste. I have an old brown can that survived the fire.We put branches out, visably, so a driver could see that it is green waste. But it is left for the trash truck to pick up. The pictured emailed to me showed why the barrell was not picked up due to the yard barrell to full, this picture was my neighbors barrel, was NOT my address or yard barrel!. Horrible experiences with containers drop off (-2 Star) and bulk items pick up (-2 Star) for the last 31 days. We have great experience with our driver for the last 10 yrs (5-Star). Requested for two containers since January 9. 2023. After over 11+ calls and 31 days later, one container showed up last week and the last container showed up today. Requested for three items pickup since January 18th, 3 weeks later, the bulk items are still here. This is the 2nd bulk item pickup request in the last 10 yrs!Spoke with a rude staff, Betty. Also spoke with 2 awesome staff, one of which I spoke with was on January 27, 2023. Wish I could switch to another company. Why do I need to call twice a weeks for the last 5 weeks to get 2 containers and 3 bulk items pickup? I did not want to do leave a bad reviews for the last 4 weeks. But after sending out request for help, I did not receive any response. What would you do?

In recent months my interaction with WM has improved greatly. The only blip was several weeks ago when the driver of the trash pickup only picked up one of my two trash bins(I pay for 2). I had to track him down in my car and told him he only dumped one of them. He got my address, apologized, and went and dumped the 2nd bin. No complaints about that, I really can understand that the drivers would have trouble distinguishing the new gray/black trash bins with the older all gray recycle bins. WM is making it harder on the drivers.....not my issue until theres a problem

Last cycle here your crew delivered a new container designated for trash. I had to assume that the existing blue trash barrel will now be for recycling. I have not seen any notice from you as to what the overall plan is. As well run as a landfill can be managed. Easy check in and directions given where your refuse goes. Theres one or two personnel at the dump site that will direct you where to park to dump. We had a truck park too close to our truck and when he realized our load would come too close to his truck he moved. Make sure you give enough space between vehicles to offload.

2 years in row, worst customer service. Dropped off the Bin at wrong location, I spent 3 hours trying to find it. They finally brought the 2nd one, then the next day the dropped of the second one. Then they picked them up 4 hours early, 1 was still empty as we just started to clean up the park from the night before. They have no Customer service. When you call, you get someone in another state, that has to call dispatch, it is a run around. They dont care that they waste your time.

Recently relocated from Virginia and was surprised our HOA doesnt include waste pickup. Called WM and found rates reasonable and was able to get bulk pickup for all our moving boxes and bags of trash so quickly! Very easy process, drivers very conscientious of placing receptacle back neatly... compared to our previous provider in VA, where cans were thrown on the ground with partial trash still inside. 1. Is it possible to get a smaller recycling can and a reduction in fees?2. How is the food waste in plastic bags then into the yard waste going? Dont the bags break open?3. We were given a blue can for trash (but clearly labeled with a sticker) and black can for recycling. Overall service is very good. However, the cost is getting higher every year. Dumpstar rental is too expensive and right size dumpstar is not available which didnt use to be the case before. The price for weekly dumpster service is extremely high. It usually takes several calls to resolve an issue like a broken wheel, erroneous charge, or new dumpster needed. Recently my dumpster was picked up but not returned the same day. I do not have tons of containers laying around to store waste overnight until my bin is returned. Totally unacceptable.

We need local landfills as a place to put our trash but trash is imported here from Los Angeles and other faraway places. Huge trucks filled with trash leaking juice, and garbage blowing out of these trucks clog the local freeway spewing their smog all the way thru Simi Valley because the politicians and Waste Management thought it would be a good idea.
