2024-06-06 17:31:15The company has fallen down on their communication or ability to answer questions. It use to be quite easy to talk to a real person in Grass Valley. This person KNEW what was going on weather wise, road wise, equipment wise etc. They were capable of answering questions or dealing with a problem. No longer is that true. The corporate office people try but do not have the up to date knowledge. The other downfall is timing of regular pick up. Company policy says to have the garbage and recycle cans out by 6 AM. We have lots of animals in the forest where we live. I have to take my cans out 1 mile to the pick-up point. We are not allowed to tie the lids down as the drivers will not get out to open them. But if we take them out the night before, the animals all too often get into them and make a mess. Again, the drivers will not get out to clean anything. Lately the drivers have been picking our cans up in the late morning to early afternoon. But the company says 6 AM. Get this updated to let us know a better time window to beat the animals (bears, dogs, coyote etc). Your major weather response is always difficult. It revolves around county roads and their condition. But when the roads have been closed due to snow, corporate HAS SAID that the trucks will get through or will be there the next day. This has never been the truth. A year ago, it took 3 weeks for pick up. The problem: 1) See paragraph 2 above. 2) We had to keep calling in for schedule AND to get the bill corrected for the trips that never happened.

2023-01-31 21:44:53Incredibly frustrating to deal with this company. Our recycle bins have been left 1/4 to 1/2 full for months! (trash was loose; I checked myself). When you try to reach someone at WM to get this resolved it is IMPOSSIBLE. I was disconnected 6 times on the phone and there is no help online. If our address only gets half emptied, then I would expect to pay half price. There is no recourse or customer service to speak of. I desperately wish they had competitors.Top this off and when we first moved in, their driver refused to pick up our trash because it was so full that the lid was CRACKED open. Not fully open mind you, just a 1.5 inch crack of sunlight. We also had a refusal to pick up because the cans were too close together. Not touching each other, but I guess they couldnt get their lazy bums out of the truck to move the can 3 inches for the truck arms to work properly.

2024-06-12 19:06:11Good curbside service at our residence.Long wait at McCoutrney dump site. Narrow and sometimes dangerous McCoutrney Road where I was close to being hit head on by a huge garbage truck that was way over the center line.

2023-08-22 00:45:03They dont dump the trash fully. The bags are loose and not sticking to the cans. They did the same thing with my recycling last week. The boxes were just lightly in there broken down. Same thing not sticking. Looks like other customers have this experience. Feels very fraud like to me. There solution was to pay for more service per Supervisor Angelica. Employee ID 306668

2024-05-08 16:21:22Our county OES has a new green waste program where WM delivers a bin for the community to fill up with green waste. We signed up for a 30 yard bin with low walls to load with a tractor. They show up with a 40 yard bin with 8 foot high walls. Not usable. The County OES says WM will deliver a 30 yard on Tue. WM showed up again with the wrong bin. WM dispatch says they will call me back but do not. They also said they would deliver the right size bin on Wed. No call and no bin. The County OES guy says they showed a bin being delivered on Wed and I tell him there is no bin here. I call WM roll off and after 29 min all they could do was send dispatch an email and tell me someone will call me back. Already heard that one. The poor guy from County OES has wasted hours of his time trying to simply get the right size bin delivered to us. How hard could this be?

2024-03-02 04:17:30Arranged for a 20 yard dumpster to be delivered on March 1st. They gave me a 12 hour window for delivery. We stayed on site, waiting, for the 12 hours. No delivery, no call, no text. Now its the weekend and they do not deliver on the weekend, they arent open, and do not answer their phone. This means we have to reschedule the demolition scheduled for the 4th to an unknown date where we can coordinate the contractor with the dumpster delivery, again. I realize were in the Sierra foothills where everything is on island time, but this is unacceptable. If we had an alternate to WM, we would cancel WM and go with an unknown.

2024-01-24 22:52:52Generally, they do the job but there is lots of room for improvement. Communication is not very good. Customers are always guessing which Holidays will delay pick up. There are no emails nor any notifications on the web page.They also don’t pick up a contained when they knock it down. One time I had to pull a container out of a storm water ditch after WM dropped the container into it. Not easy with a bad back.

2024-04-15 21:12:431-1 1/2 hours to try and set up new service. And still no success!Website would not let me sign up, and told me to call them. Local number is then routed to national call desk.Dropped, transferred, put on hold multiple times, called back and put on hold again.Worst Customer Service Ever! Trying to set up new service should be easy and simple
