Awesome family business. I’ve taken out over 70 collateral loans with Wimpey’s over the years. Always professional & open 7 days. I’ve had numerous opportunities to buy cars for all cash on a weekend. Wimpey’s has been my go-to to pawn jewelry, guns, tools or electronics & get the cash to make the deal!

Do to traffic I showed up just before closing. I was rushing in expecting to be met with your normal not so friendly pawnshop staffer telling me I was too late. Instead I was welcomed in and helped out quickly professionally and they even recommended splitting my two items into to loans to allow me to retrieve them easier without being prompted to do so. The offers were fair for the item the FIRST TIME!! NO HAGGLING to get to what I needed they came in 400.00 over what I was looking to get allowing me some wiggle room to not just scrape by.Will be back!Will recommend to anyone looking for a fair and professional experience. This was my first time going to sell something and I felt like I wasn’t treated the same as if a man came in to sell something. At first I misunderstood the worker (which is entirely my own fault) but then once things were clarified, I felt like that was when the worker tried to take advantage of my inexperience in selling. All in all, the workers were nice, the shop was clean and pretty organized, but my experience to sell wasn’t too great.

First things first, Jeff at Wimpey’s Pawn Shop was amazing at helping me get a loan for some items I wanted to pawn. From the moment I texted for a quote to the moment I got my loan the whole process was very smooth. He even went out of his way to take whatever Items I could bring in of value for the full amount I wanted. His customer service was outstanding and he was a real bro to me the whole process. I am extremely pleased with Jeff’s great customer service and Wimpey’s Pawn Shop as my first time here. I highly recommend you check them out and give them a shot. This was one of the few Pawn Shops opened on Sunday as well. Other than a loan, they had a huge selection of items to choose from including silver, gold, and guns. However he offered me x amount, I tried to go higher and he said that’s where he was at not higher. Took in some scrap gold, the guy was rude and short with me, didnt seem like he wanted to help. He offered me 15 dollars, I told him no thank you and brought it to another pawn shop and they gave me 31 dollars. Every single time Ive been here they have tried to get over on me with insulting offers. I dont think Ive talked to one employee who gave me an honest and genuine vibe. Im a slim skater looking guy with messy hair, and for some reason I get the feeling they stereotype me, because Ill see the same employee help someone else and they are totally friendly like they were a completely different person. I hate to be the stick in the mud with all these awesome reviews but I have to be completely honest about my experience, Ive been here about 10 times and not once have I been treated with respect. Ive been here twice with my wife and Ive actually enjoyed looking through their video game and blu-rays selection. But I gotta give them one star based on one of the employees (Hispanic guy with tattoos that has gun on him) there thats pretty freakin mean to one of his employees. Both times weve been there hes raised his voice in front of all the customers scolding that one employee. I forget why he was scolding him the first time but today he scolded him in front of us as I was conversing with the employee who was really cool. I think he told him something about hurrying up and asked him to stop talking so muc . I think thats inappropriate and unnecessary and made things awkward to the point where my wife gave me that look like, This is awkward. Lets leave. I understand if you have to reprimand an employee but dont do it in front of customers. Thats not okay. We wont be back here based on these two experiences.

Great place to get stuff ya know ya want/need/lost or just cant find be it even musical instruments like bass or electric guitars or dj equipment, lap tops, watches, dvds, blu-rays, mountain bikes etc, etc.... or you can even have them hold any thing You have as value as a sort of loan for cash with a reasonable time loan.

The best pawn brokers in Los Angeles County by far. I got behind on my camera and lenses... I came in to extend for another 5 months and found out it had slipped passed its due dates and I almost had a heart attack. Lockdown had been really tough, but Greg was extremely helpful and very generous, he helped me to put back together my photography kit, when we found it all out for sale in the display cases. But not to worry, he extended it all for me, and for a fraction of the total costs of each item. Thank you kindly guys, and God bless Wimpey’s Pawn Azusa! Namaste 🙏

I drove 50 minutes to check an item they listed on offer-up for $111.99 at this pawn shop and when I got there they showed an item that had a price tag of $299.99. They told me that an employee made a mistake while listing the item. Thwy apologize and offered me a“discount”. Thwy lowered the price to $225 which I didn’t accept. I want to think this was an honest mistake and not that they do this on purpose to lure people in to their shop.

I brought to Wimpys Some Rolex watches. 2 womens Rolex watches. They insisted they were not authentic and gave me 15 dollars for them. These people Ripped me off. I had asked them 1 year later if they take fake Rolex watches and they said No. I got ripped off badly. These people are wicked. Beware.
