Incredible food here. My favorite is their breakfast menu and the meatloaf and eggs. Everything is so good and well prepared and served fast and hot. This is a unique experience for sure and we always come here when we’re in the desert. The staff is so nice and courteous. And the baked goods are phenomenal. Especially the pop tarts!

A little slice of paradise in the desert. Been coming here for years. If you enjoy gourmet style breakfast, this place is a real treat. SUPER FLUFFY eggs, which myself and the wife throughly enjoy. Portions are also large, so great for sharing if youre into it. The biscuits and gravy are REALLY flavorful with the two meats, which are definitely a plus. The eggs any style on top are phenomenal! Coffee and latte are also very strong and tasty. Great service from our server and hostess. Great vibes inside and out.

Food and service were average at best. The chicken and waffles was below my expectations. The chicken was not seasoned at all and they used Panko bread crumbs as a breading. A buttermilk/flour breading with seasoning would have been much better. The eggs and bacon that my partner had was good. The bacon was thick sliced and had a good flavor. The waiter staff was excellent, but we had a 30 minute wait to be seated and it took 30 minutes once we placed our order to get our food. The location and atmosphere was great. This is the first Guy’s DDD recommendation that did not blow us away. We may give it one more chance the next time in the area and hope for more satisfying results.

We had to wait for over an hour for a table. The food is fresh and enjoyable but the inside of the restaurant is so oddly set up. We were sat right next to the kitchen doors and the servers actually bus the tables and drop off plates and cutlery in the actual restaurant- so the entire time we were eating we were startled every few minutes with banging and clanking of plates being thrown around. Not sure it’s worth waiting an hour for that experience !

Samuel was our server and I couldn’t have asked for better service. His only downfall (and I’m just joking) is he suggested I get the cinnamon roll and now I hate/love him. It is absolutely delicious and mouthwatering. Thanks a lot Sam. ❤️As for the 3 ⭐️ atmosphere really there was nothing wrong with it just a busy diner full of people enjoying their meals.

We came in for late Sunday brunch on a locals recommendation. The menu is interesting with good selections. Our server Audry was excellent with attention and keeping my coffee warmed. I had the grilled meatloaf breakfast and my wife had short ribs Benedict we both asked for hash browns well done. The hash brown werent well done and the Benedict English muffin was not cooked all the way. The Cafe was good, I would give it another shot if I was local.

Great food and service at an elevated price but well worth the quality.So im a biscuits and gravy kind of guy and I order that whenever I can. This ranked pretty high up there, the gravy was superb and chunky (could use a littleMore sage and sausage flavor) and biscuit was nice plump and soft but for $18 I think they could give you one more biscuit you know. The side of tater tots were cooked well without being oily and soggy but the best part was well done scrambled eggs! Literally the best eggs I’ve had anywhere, I hate eggs runny and whenever I order it there’s always some “runny” eggs but this place was the best, fluffy and airy while cooked thoroughly without being over done.My wife ordered “the Boss” with short ribs and wow wow wow, the short ribs were delicious and done to perfection (yes she had to share :)). The CINNAMON Roll was outstanding, the frosting or drizzle on top was the best I’ve had anywhere and it was cold not even warm where it supposedly gets better.. so go on and come here you won’t be disappointed one bit.

Whenever we are in Palm Springs 🌴 we always have to stop for brunch here! They make an amazing homemade strawberry jam for their homemade biscuits......a must have! Their chai iced latte sure helps beat the heat and delicious as well......usually a wait, but totally worth it! Your stomach will thank you for the delectable breakfast options!

You can’t beat this place! The best food, service, and atmosphere in the area. I had the French Toast with Fresh Strawberries and Green Ice Tea, and my partner had the California Benny and Lemonade. We can die happy 😆 Sat outside even though it was hot, but the service was superb, bringing refills and plenty of water! The view was just too beautiful not to take it in while eating.So why are you still reading this? Get over to Wilma & Frieda’s Cafe! ❤️

Large portions of freshly prepared food. I had the breakfast Carne asada hash special. The asada was very tender and flavorful. The eggs were cooked perfect. The coffee had a great flavor. Don’t miss an opportunity for the biscuit. Large flaky southern style. I ordered two pork sausage Pattie’s. They were oversized and cooked very juicy with a crisp exterior. I’d recommend just one. Was great breakfast.

I went on a Sunday morning for brunch just a little FYI you can’t make reservations here so expect to wait an hour at least before getting a table . That gave me more then enough time to look at the menu and know what I wanted once my server came to my table ordered right away. The food was out in a decent amount time server was really nice and attentive. (Audrey I believe was her name I can’t remember) that’s my bad 😬 The bacon was to hard to chew presentation of plate could have been better as well. Food was over all 8 out of 10

My daughter and I like to come here often to catch up and have good conversations and spend some quality time together. The Carmel iced coffee is delicious. The egg benedicts are very good. Last time though I wanted regular pancakes and unfortunately they only had the gluten free. Hate to say it because we like this place, but they were terrible. Besides that, the waiters are kind and friendly, we love the location and the atmosphere is good. We will definitely be back soon and would recommend trying it out for yourself!

Wilma & Frieda’s Cafe is a wonderful, brunch spot located within the gardens at El Paseo. They are a family friendly restaurant with a menu that will not disappoint due to its wide range of breakfast and lunch items. We recommend arriving early as the restaurant often has a wait even at 9 AM on a weekday.The scrambled eggs, custard french toast, and short rib benedict were all delicious. The chai latte was also so flavorful.The only downside was the service. Our waiter was quite slow, forgot to bring two of our teas, and promised to turn on the heat lamp but never did even after we reminded him.

Love this family owned local spot! It’s in a great area with shopping so if you have a short wait for a table, you can feed your inner shopaholic. Once sat down you are greeted with a friendly staff and served great food. I ordered the Meeny and the Churro waffle and loved both. The OJ was fresh squeezed and very good as well. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is located in a shopping mall called The Gardens on El Paseo, on the second floor.A staff came and took us inside within few minutes of us entering. She asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. It was a hot day out, so we first said that we want to sit inside. But guess what? No air conditioning!!! I felt like the locals are so used to the heat, unless it gets to super high temperature, they don’t turn on the AC… Well, the inside was really cute. Not as big as I thought it would be, but a good size.After several minutes of sweating at the table indoor, we decided to change our table. We asked the waitress if we could sit outside, and they took us out with no issue. It was soooo much better with a little wind going! Here, we finally got to settle down and ordered our brunch.The brunch menu was fun. They had few brunch sets, named Eeny, Meany, Miney, and Mo’ based on how much food you want. Cute! We went with Miney and Mark’s Short Rib Eggs Benedict. They were both really good, nice big portion. One thing about their offering is that they don’t have tater tots on weekend brunch… I was a bit sad about that. Their hash browns are ok. It needed salt and pepper for flavor. We were completely stuffed, so we didnt get any dessert. Since they had so many great looking desserts, I was disappointed, but my stomach can take but so much...The service was very friendly and polite. Our waitress, Karen came to check on us frequently to make sure we have everything we needed. Our water was filled almost at all times. W&F is a delightful offering in Palm Desert with indoor and outdoor seating and a reputation and following that make it VERY popular.A first attempt ended with a presumed “46 minute” wait to be seated. The second, arriving before an 8am opening, was met with like minded diners already waiting.The menu has the usual offerings, with a very few omelette. No “choose your own” option.The breakfast offerings are available on “Eenie”, “Meany”, “Mo”, and “Sky’s the Limit” which denote sizes (number of eggs) to the last, which includes French Toast in addition to eggs, meat, potato.The food is average, although, the in house biscuits ARE divine: and the prices are constant with Palm Desert. Inherently not for the coupon clipping, budget conscious traveler. Our party of two spent $75 (plus gratuity). Hardly outrageous.Beyond the cutesy menu. it was breakfast. The “those” French toast was modestly so. One slice of bread cut diagonally.The bacon was delicious, hearty and not fatty. Not salty either.Do consider the hash browns over the potato offering unless you prefer bland chunks with accompany bell peppers. Perhaps you do.Reservations are NOT accepted. Great little brunch spot. It does get busy here (for good reason). Not a complicated menu and what they offer, they do it well. This location was on the 2nd level of the Gardens on El Paseo in Palm Desert. Despite the pace, the staff is perfectly calm and poised and makes everyone feel comfortable and unrushed. My family was in town for a few days and had a brunch here. The food was absolutely amazing. My daughter loved the waffle with mixed berries. Went around noon, didnt realize it was in the shopping plaza but its not far from parkingWe both got a short rib so dish, the eggs Benedict short rib was so delicious the meat was perfect and the home made hollandaise was really great. In my top 3 Benedict dishes Ive ever had.It was a lot of food and I was very fully - fruit was really good verse just existing on the plate as garnishI got the adult latte with a shot of expresso per the waiters recommendation - it wasnt bad, still sweet with the expresso I imagine its too sweet without. It reminded me of a white Russian - strong vodka flavor.

Coming home from a weekend stay at the Omni we decided to stop by and have a late breakfast. Parking was easy and free off of Lark Spur. Climbing up to the second level we were greeted with a nice lil entrance. Farm house industrial, IG worthy with its decor.The food was pretty good, I tried the Marks Short Rib Benny. The meat was machaca style, moist but I thought it lacked taste. The Hollandaise was rich and flavorful. The portion was huge I could only finish one. This should be shared definitely.The pancakes were on point super fluffy, Assorted Omelets were on point. Will try it again next time Im down. Our server was attentive and proactive.*There was some issue with flies inside the restaurant.

Four of us had lunch and shared 2 Cobb Salads! 2 days later all 4 of us were sick with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and cramps.When 4 people order the same thing and get sick, there has to be a problem. The waitress saw this and offered to take the food back, we had already waited 45 minutes for our food and had no time to wait another 45 minutes for food to be remade. My mother’s sausages was inedible - like actually rotten, she spit it out. None of our food was finished and we were not offered any kind of compensation or even our two coffees for free. We arrived at 10:30 for brunch and had about a 20 minute wait, which went by quickly, especially with the app telling us what our place in line was. It was very crowded and noisy, but we were waited on immediately and the service was very attentive. I had California Bennie - Eggs Benedict with avocado instead of Canadian Bacon. The homemade English muffin was amazing, the rest was just ok. I got some pastries to bring home, and they were even better than the breakfast. The W-F bar is to DIE for - crazy good!!!

Honestly, I was looking forward to eating here. I saw a lot of good comments on Yelp. However, I was disappointed in this place. The service was good, very friendly staff. The food came out quickly; however, the eggs had no taste whatsoever. I had to put so much salt and pepper on them and they still didnt taste good. The English muffin was pretty disgusting without the jelly on it. And the potatoes also no seasoning at all and just didnt taste great.

Food was good, the berry tart was fantastic. The wait time was an issue. It was over an hour and a half wait time. The service was a bit rushed, our waiter was so busy with everything else he took 20 min to deliver water. I also ordered the short rib skillet, it was good, but tasted a bit vingery. Located in an outdoor walking mall in the Paseo area, this fun and quirky restaurant offers several old favorites with a smattering of new creations. I have been wanting to eat here for a while. I want to try everything on the menu! Its an hour wait. Today, I was prepared to give them my number, sit my bum down, and just play on my phone till its my turn. However, you can mileander in the shopping center. You got great shops here, and theres a grass are for the doggie or kiddos to run around. They are setting up some real fun stuff for the weekend. Tomorrow is the golf cart parade on El Paseo.

On a diet unfortunately, but still cheated a little with the churro waffle (had to try). It was great so make sure you order it if you eat here. Came to this place after seeing they had gluten free breakfast options. The gluten free pancakes were huge and fluffy. Personally I got the Blackberry Custard French Toast (pictured). Really nice size portion. Couple that with HOT maple syrup and youve got a winner. My wife got an omelette that she loved as well. Would definitely return if back in town.

The host was super rude, worst service experience ever. We were a party of 9, two members of our party were running late, we asked if we could get our table since our two little kids were hungry, and the rest of the party was 8 min away. The host was not willing to help us out, even when we offer to place orders for the 9 of us already. Really a service failure, they should not put people without a service attitude as hosts. Even if he did not want to help there are better ways of treating people. We left and had a great experience at JimmyB right under this restaurant.

Overflowing with fresh crisp rasberrys over French toast that reminds me of a tasty bread pudding. Not sweet, though it looked like it would be too sweet, it was excellent. A side of bacon, cooked to lo perfection was a nice salty addition to the scrumptious meal. You can get a mimosa, wine, coffee, tea or soda. They have created a fun, delicious menu with really lovely selections. Their ingredients are top notch and the food is prepared with love. You will remember your visit. The atmosphere has also a very cool vibe with a hip crowd and and I made several new friends while waiting for my food to come and while I was enjoying it. It was a beautiful meal and I will be back. We wanted to go grab a good breakfast before we headed back home to Arizona. I went on yelp and looked up breakfast places close to our hotel with food ratings. To my surprise Wilma & Friedas popped up and had 4 1/2 stars and over 2,000 ratings. I thought this place has to be amazing. We checked the waitlist on yelp which said 0 minutes but by the time we got there we had to wait. We were seated within 10-15 minutes and sat a small table near the window. We ordered our food and waited about 15-20 minutes to get our food. It felt longer than Im sure it was. We got the egg, hash brown and biscuit meal. First of all the has browns werent cooked enough and the biscuit was so dry I could barely swallow my bite. Im not a typical person to complain and can basically eat anything but I was not impressed with the place. Cute atmosphere but hard to find and mediocre food. Maybe it was an off day considering their ratings are so high or maybe I just got the one bad biscuit of the bunch. Either way, when given the chance Id go somewhere else.

We always visit Wilma & Frida’s on very special occasions. My mom’s birthday this time. She wanted to have breakfast elsewhere but my kids insisted on Wilma’s. Every time weve ordered an egg dish there are problems with it: weird flavors, under-seasoning, and over cooking to a tough rubbery texture have all happened on various orders.Reality does not match the hype.This place charges a premium price for brunch but delivers a tasteless and rubbery meal. Their food handling protocols are horrific. My wife and I just came from this place. My wife asked for her steak well done, when she cut into it there was blood running from it. We were polite, we asked for a steak that was well done; to our surprise they asked for the steak back, cooked the same steak and returned it. My wife used the utensils to poke and cut into it. I used to work in the food industry, once food crosses that kitchen threshold it does not go back the other way. Their good handling seems sketchy. In a good restaurant, a manager would come, apologize, and bring a new correctly cooked steak; no harm no fowl. She made ugly faces when my kids accidentally dropped something and don’t think she was too fond of me or the group I was with. She made it very obvious. And for that I give this establishment 1 star. Pick better servers / hostesses they are the face of your company after all.

Super disappointing. Multiple friends recommended this place and it was quite busy so Im sure lots of people like it, but I guess lots of people like bad food. Service was great and it looked, like most people were simply indulging on sugary carbs- hard to screw up and easy to please. My special ended up being tater tots, overly well done ground beef, and a teaspoon of salsa from a jar. Its basically a fancy Dennys.

When they showed us to our initial table and it was just a little bit too cramped for my taste, they immediately agreed to find another table and set up a four-person table for the two of us to be comfortable. Our server (Rumor) was also very nice and took great care of us.Unfortunately the food was not as consistent. We got the Blackberry French toast which my wife liked, three and a half to four stars rating. Decadent, and not overly sweet, which was good.I got the short rib Benedict and unfortunately it was under seasoned as others here have noted. You can add salt at the table to try and compensate, but theres nothing like cooking with the correct seasoning to truly embed the desired flavor into the food. Three stars for the bene.Biscuit was good, but not amazing it anything. Jam served with the biscuit was really good.

We visited this place twice on our vacation. And will go again on our next visit. I had the Mo and my friend had the Sky High so we could share toast and hash browns. I upgraded to the banana caramel French toast and my friend had the blackberry French toast. Both visits. Excellent food!!

The tall rude guy who shoed me off with “we are closed” while the doors were open prompted me to see what was prompting such uppitiness, and loved the GrandMa reference, but Blackberry Custard French Toast & Short Rib Benedict isn’t just any Farmhouse Kitchen to grow up in! This is White Elite more elite than SF Elites or the Desert. As a former resident of a very distinct residence I been to many Country Kitchens. Staying in Palm Desert for a week I tried a number of different breakfast spots but this was by far my favorite. Oddly enough I recommend the meatloaf & eggs. Oh my gosh this place is so good! The bloody mary was absolutely delicious. My husband raved about his short rib benedict and my chili verde pork and brie omelet was so flavorful and filling. The homemade biscuits with fresh jam just made our breakfast that much better. The staff was super friendly. We will be back! Highly recommend!!

We were led to this fabulous cafe through our trusty Yelp app - and we were definitely not disappointed!Upon arriving, we were greeted with a friendly smile and an option to sit indoors or out. Given that the weather wasnt as hot outside, we opted for some fresh air. The menu had just the right amount of everything, and I couldnt decide for the life of me what to order. We ended up ordering the soyrizo scramble and the Cali Benny and a glass of the berry hibiscus tea. YUM! Everything was fresh, crisp, and full of tons of mouth watering flavor. It is probably the best breakfast Ive had in a long while and so worth the drive here. The biscuits were probably my absolute favorite part if I had to choose. Well done to the kitchen staff for nailing the food to the T!The service was super friendly and prompt. We always had everything we needed, full glasses of water and the right balance of grabbing his attention, but not overkill with check-ins.I highly recommend coming in and giving this place a shot, you definitely wont leave with an empty belly.

We are visiting the area and were looking for a good breakfast place. Checked out their website and decided to try it out. Glad we did! Both the food and the service were great! My husband and I split the ‘Sky’s the Limit,’ and it was perfect for the two of us. Coffee was also great. We took some of their baked goods to go (apple pie and PB cookie) - so good. I gave a 4 star because the noise level was ridiculous. Overall a strong 4 1/2 *.On a sidenote:. Some of the noise was the crying/SCReaming children. The parents would not step outside to quiet them. Its hard to judge this place on the quality of their food when the service was so poor. But...with that said...the food was amazing and completely exceeded an already high expectation. I had the Mo which was massive, I actually gave my pancakes, which are a meal in and of itself, to my son. The smokey bacon was to die for and I love their take on breakfast sausage. My wife had the Belgian Waffles, and we took a homemade Pop Tart to go (A Must). Im still giving it a 4 star which is a testament to the quality of the meal, if the service was good this was a 6/5.

Wish i could give it a 5 star becuase the food was good. But the hostesses are not pleasant. Immediately when we walked in to get a table host Rachel did not greet us and said it will be an hour and 15 minute wait with a mean tone. Even when i greated her nicely. After waiting for 30 minutes i noticed other people who came after us were getting seated before we did. And when I checked with them, they ssecided to seat us. I was almost about to pass out due to low blood sugar and the staff was apathetic. Saying that even though it was our turn to be seated we could not be seated because as a party of 4. Some reviews stated the portions are small, but this is not true as the portions are generous. Food was tasty but Ive had better in other places. I ordered an omelet with Brie cheese and sun dried tomatoes .It came with GOAT cheese and salt with sun dried tomatoes in it.Yes, the tomatoes were sooo salty. I guess they were the lowest and cheapest quality they could find. No flavor of sun dried tomatoes whatsoever. Now here is the fun part. When I mentioned that my Brie cheese was actually goat cheese, the waiter came back with an answer from the kitchen. We are out of Brie cheese. Lol. We had the churro waffle, Belgian waffle, and the Skys the limit with the blackberry custard French toast. All of it was excellent. One of the best breakfast places we’ve tasted so far. Most breakfast places we’ve been to try so hard to be trendy by making it look “ig-worthy” but then the taste fails to live up to the hype. This place however is aesthetically appealing and delicious. Their waffles are also one of the best we’ve tasted. It was simple yet tasty. Food is clean and well prepared. My son enjoyed the banana french toast. That was the best dish from the three we ordered. Theres something missing about it though... a little bland, I was expecting more flavor. My omelette was not tasty, my English muffin was soggy, hashbrown was undercooked partly raw. This place has great food, but it opens rather later for breakfast, 9am. So, the line to get in starts very fast and people stand around watching you eat when its your turn to be seated. Im not sure how realistic it is, but this place could make some money if there was bar offering mimosas while you wait. By the time we left, around 12, the wait was 2 hours. Other than that, the mimosas were great and I recommend the home made biscuit... Super delish.

Wilma and Freida has delicious food( the food is always a 4-5)...there is however, always a horrific wait time! It is unfortunate that as a local you cannot call ahead to be put on a list. Due to the wait we often choose not to come here. So we tried a new approach and went on a work day so in hoping the wait would be less. Well the wait was 20 minutes instead of over an hour, which made us excited. Then we read the menu, yes, much to our disappointment the weekday menu is not the same as the weekend. So what we went for, we could not get. Therefore we ordered what I would say was a rudimentary breakfast... omelettes at a high price. Good but not out of the ordinary.This really is an amazing breakfast place, but, the frustration far outweighs the positives unfortunately. Hopefully one of these days we will be able to stop in for for biscuits and gravy...but, maybe not as the weekend wait is just off the chart.I can say nothing negative of the actual service or food quality...both always good!

My four year old and I were waiting politely outside while my fiance went in explaining to whoever was in charge that we accidentally forgot our masks at home and instead of helping us they denied our service. We even asked if we could sit outside but he said NO! Most restaurants provide you with a mask I guess you dont need the business. We wont ever be back and we will never recommend your establishment.
