Clearly Excellent! - Dr. Christian and the Vanguard Eye Institutes team are totally professional. His calm, clear explanation of cataracts and the surgery process convinced me not to wait. My experience at the Surgery Center was also flawless, totally profession team. I now notice colors are more vibrate, and no more looking for my glasses needed. I am so grateful for clear vision again, A Whole New World. . Highly recommend!! .

Im very satisfied going to Dr. Christian for my lasik surgery. After our consultation, I knew I was in good hands. He informed me of all my choices and what to expect in the future. I opted for the blended vision and adjusted to it right away. My surgery did not take very long - he was very clear on directions (which helped my surgery go smoothly). I appreciate his staff as most of my wait time was to a minimum.

I knew I needed my eyes checked because the signs on the freeways were not as clear at night as they have been. I thought I needed glasses, boy was I wrong! I had LASIK performed a few year prior with excellent results, my problem, however, was my ophthalmologist had retired. I asked friends and neighbors for referrals and recommendations, several of them recommended The Vanguard Eye Institute and Dr. William K. Christian. After some additional web research, I made an appointment with Dr. Christian to have my eyes examined. I was pleasantly surprised at how thorough and comprehensive the exam and evaluations were. Dr. Christian took a significant amount of time to explain the evaluation and test results. He was clear (unambiguous) in communicating the examination results, I was developing cataracts, in both eyes! Dr. Christian explained the cause and effects of having cataracts and the treatment options (including pros and cons). At the conclusion of the consultation I felt comfortable enough with Dr. Christian to schedule cataract surgery. I had surgery performed within a week or so after the consultation, one eye done one week and the other eye done the following week. The surgeries were performed at the 90210 Surgery Medical Center. The Center had all latest technology (lasers and associated diagnostic equipment) and a excellent supportive staff. It became clear to me at that point why Dr. Christian had been so optimistic about my cataract surgery outcome.The surgery in both eyes went very well, no pain or discomfort, Dr. Christian talked me through the surgeries which was very helpful in relieving my anxiety. I had to rest the day the surgery was performed. The day following surgery I was back to normal with the best vision I have had in life!!If you are having vision problems, I recommend you go see Dr. William K. Christian at The Vanguard Eye Institute. He has a competent, helpful and understanding staff. He is erudite in his field and knowledgeable with the conventional wisdom in the treatment of disorders of the eyes. You will find Dr. Christian to be amiable, personable, good-humored and a damn good doctor that knows how to communicate. You get the trifecta and more with Dr. Christian.

Dr. Christian recently performed lens replacement surgery due to cataracts on my eyes. The thought of this procedure had me quite apprehensive, but Dr. Christian answered all of my questions over numerous visits so that by the day of my actual procedure, I felt very confident in my knowledge of what was about to happen and even more confident in Dr. Christian himself. He has the credentials, experience, and attentiveness to his patients that is truly unparalleled. He operated on each eye separately, one week apart. It was a short procedure and I was in and out in less than three hours. It is an unbelievable experience to uncover your eye the morning after surgery and see better than 20/20 after wearing glasses for so many years. The word miraculous springs to mind! There was little to no discomfort. Its been a little over a month now and I see like I did back in high school. The result is everything Dr. Christian explained to me that it would be. I would not want to trust my eyes to anyone else. I couldnt be happier with the outcome. Thank you Dr. Christian!

Dr Christian is an incredible eye surgeon and is highly regarded by other doctors and patients. He performed two cataract surgeries and my vision is perfect. I will recommend him as one of the best eye specialists and cataract surgeons in America. His staff is very professional and highly qualified.

Doctor Christian is a very highly qualified surgeon, a detailed communicator and an all around nice guy. He prepared me thoroughly for my cataract surgery. It’s been six weeks and I am still amazed by my restored vision. I must give a shout out to his attentive, professional and extremely friendly staff. Every medical office should be as professional and pleasant as Doctor Christian’s.

I would highly, highly recommend Dr. Christian as an ophthalmologist. He performed LASIK on my eyes last year and I couldnt be happier with the results, the whole surgery process, and ongoing care from Dr. Christian. I truly felt like I was in great hands throughout the surgery process and always appreciate his detailed communication and compassionate bedside manner.

I was aware I had cataracts but had declined surgery for several years. On the basis of his outstanding education and training experience, I chose Dr. Christian . . to prescribe new glasses! As I expected, he recommended surgery for the cataracts and I was fully prepared to decline. As I did not expect, however, he spent the better part of an hour with me carefully explaining my options, especially the consequences of delay. To my wife’s considerable surprise, I told her on the drive home I was having the cataracts removed.The surgeries (both eyes, one week apart) were performed perfectly and the entire process at the surgical center was seamless. Follow-up office visits were flawless due to the excellence of the people involved and the superb technology available. Of particular note was the immediate availability by phone – on a Thanksgiving weekend! – of Dr. Christian, to prescribe additional medication for some unexpected minor discomfort. Dr. Christian completely improved my life. I was having issues with distant vision, medium vision, close vision and switching off between different strength glasses. When he suggested refractive cataract surgery I thought, but I’m too young. It’s now been over a year and I can see clearly, at a far distance and up close completely without glasses! My husband now is always asking me what something reads on the television, and to read the tiniest label on medicine bottles. I do, no glasses, no problem! I’m thrilled I invested while in my 50’s because now I’ll have excellent vision for the rest of my life! He and his office are the best!

Dr. Christian is an excellent surgeon. He is supported by a very capable, friendly, and knowledgeable staff.. I was especially pleased with the personal attention he and his office gave during my cataract surgery. I would recommend him highly to anyone considering an eye procedure. My wife is also a very satisfied patient.
