I recently had the pleasure of dining at Wild Gold Bistro Restaurant and was thoroughly impressed! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a warm and welcoming decor. But the real star of the show was the food - specifically, the pizza. I ordered the [insert pizza name] and it was hands-down one of the best pizzas Ive ever had. The crust was perfectly crispy, the sauce was rich and tangy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The combination was absolute perfection. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure our every need was met. Overall, I would highly recommend Wild Gold Bistro Restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a great atmosphere. Cant wait to go back and try more of their menu!

The wild goat is a phenomenal restaurant on petalumas riverfront.Whats 60s and 70s music ebbing and it has a warm atmosphere.The staff are professional and amazing.Its a little pricier but the food is delicious and very well worth it for a special occasion 😁And its okay to share and split a meal that theyre not against that and the bathroom is in the mail part its not in the restaurant itself but you just let them know you need to use the restroom theyll give you the code

Super yummy Mediterranean pizza with non-alcoholic hazy IPA! Great service. Sat outside next to a large heater. Got a table at 6:00 on a Wednesday night without a wait or reservation. Parking is a bit tight in the area. Highly recommend!

Great service. Extra pleasant dealing with everyone on the staff. There was a nice breeze and our legs needed a rest. We stopped for a glass of wine but stayed for the fun music and tasty snacks. Highly recommended. We will definitely return!

Fresh is the best word to describe WGB. The food was amazing and exploding with freshness and flavor. The turkey burger was fantastic, the salad the customized for me (Im still dreaming about it), and the lemon cake made us want to lick the plate. Its not often you get superior food, great service, and a unique atmosphere all in one place!

In luma for a cali reggae show and wanted something familiar. Was here many years ago and had a great experience so I’m back! Sat facing the street view while enjoying a new Syrah. The brussels sprouts are well flavored, seasoned but too soft for me. Also size is portioned for one. Craving pizza I ordered the“ lift the fog” which is (mild) spicy sausage, Roni, sweet caramelized onions, mozzarella, tomato sauce. Arrived HOT and tasty!!! First time experience, waited about 20 minutes to be seated. Some people that came after me was seated before me, and the food also delivered faster to them. We were ready to order, but it took about 5 minutes to be acknowledged by the waitress. After ordering, we waited about 35 more minutes, and we were running out of time. I figured, it’s busy, lunch time so I’ll just take the food and eat it at home. To my surprise, the sandwich is very tiny, and the apples had the sticker on it. I removed the stickers, and found a long hair inside. First and last time coming here.

This place is fantastic, but for more than simply the food. I ordered the large potato dish, a large meatball dish, the Farmers Daughter salad, Shepards Pie, margarita pizza (not pictured), a strawberry rhubarb dessert, and a carrot cake. All the food was well prepared, fresh ingredients, and very satisfying (especially the salad and those taters!) but what especially stood out was the service.I picked up the order and after I got to the hotel where my wife and 5 week old were, we realized there was no pizza. After calling and the owner picking up, she offered first to deliver it to me herself after work, then to refund the entire order (like almost $140 after tip!). I thought that was excessive and declined because the food looked and smelled amazing and thats not what small business owners need to do to win my business. We had a longer conversation than will be shared here, but suffice to say the high quality of the food is reflective of the high caliber of the operation as a whole and its leadership.We will be returning.

Farm to table fare. Whatever is in season is on the menu. We had the In Season pizza. Incredible. Caramelized onion sauce with prosciutto, peaches, brie and mint. It was like a ham & pineapple but different. It was brilliant. So good. The staff was friendly, helpful and endearing. I need to go back and try everything! Great tiny place with wonderful food and friendly waitress. Food was great, but it wasnt as easy to choose what to have since menu changes often. I usually look at the photos of dishes from reviews and show a photo of what Id like to order to a waitress. This time, many dishes were no longer served, but the new ones were just as beautiful and tasty.Chairs/benches were hard wood, angular, and very uncomfortable. Might be a challenge if you dont have a lot of fat cushion on your bum! I resorted to using their small back pillow and that saved the day!Parking was close and easy. They share a restroom with other businesses and youll need a code to get in.Great food and beautifully presented, but dining comfort needs improvement.

Love this place. The food is consistently good. We had dinner in the outside tented area last night, and just thought they could definitely add to the atmosphere, it was pretty stripped down. Great Fathers Day meal! Fun, Funky, Rustic Restaurant located in the Great Petaluma Mill. Dont pass up the Nutty Goat app. Goat cheese with pistachios lightly coated in panko, with pears, pappitas and fig jam. Amazing gazpacho! Cucumber & avocado. Bright, fresh with a citrus overtone. Crimini mushroom soup chock full of umami flavor. Crab Cake Eggs Benedict was a perfect Fathers Day Special. The Goats Favorite Burger was unexpected delight. The bread looks crunchy, but was tender and nestled the burger perfectly. Foglifter pizza was for togo and was found to be delicious as well with gruyere cheese. Do not miss the desserts!

I am sad to say that after a delicious Get Chopped Salad at Wild Goat, I had a stomach ache that continued through the night, I was completely nauseous with intense pain and could not sleep. I then was weak and could not move the entire next day as I vomited and had diarrhea (apologies for the visual) but it was the worst food poisoning I have ever experienced. I have no allergies, and I have never gotten sick from any restaurant in the USA. I had to miss work and couldnt get out of bed. By the end of the day I felt better and called Wild Goat to report what had happened. The woman who answered, started by asking me if it was allergies, and then offered a vague apology and that was it. This is not the response I would give to someone who got food poisoning the first time they ate at my restaurant. Needless to say I wont be eating here again, and have let others know about my experience. For me the saddest part was the complete apathy and lack of responsibility. I apologize for the graphic picture, but aside from paying for a salad, getting food poisoning and missing work, I also spent an hour cleaning my bathroom of throw-up...I am not happy with my experience.

Nice staff and great, dog friendly patio. The food has excellent presentation but I was surprised that it was pretty bland. The mozzarella pizza had the right amount of sauce and cheese so that wasn’t the issue. The basil wasn’t fresh, was dried, and the crust was not tasty. We added a bunch of salt pepper and crushed red pepper. Wine list by the glass could use some revamping, too. The stay fit salad was fine, not exceptional.

I’ve eaten here twice now. Thought maybe the first time I had just ordered the wrong thing, but no. This is what I think gentrification would taste like. Food is bland and overpriced and not very filling. The side “salad” was just a bowl of lettuce and a container of balsamic vinegar. Not even a cherry tomato or something. Also my turkey burger was pink and a little unsettling to eat.

Less than half enjoyed the crab cakes which had a strong fishy smell. Pizza was very good, crust was between crunchy and chewy. Pasta was excellent, as was the shepherds pie. Service overall was excellent, but w few niggles ...did feel a bit rushed and they were taking plates off the table even before we were finished. Prices were fair but on the high side.

I recently purchased a gift card for my friend who lives in Petaluma after we ate here when I visited, and the food is unbelievably good and the gluten free carrot cake is better than any carrot cake I’ve ever had! There was a mishap and the gift card was never sent, which was no big deal because mistakes happen, and after reaching out the owner was on top of it! She was so kind and quickly replied to make sure it got out immediately. Top notch customer service!! I will definitely be back when I visit and will be buying more gift cards in the future!

Great food, great setting in the old Mill. A little pricey but it is organic locally sourced and thats not cheap. I think its worth every penny. I had halibut and it was probably the best piece of halibut Ive had in a number of years.Adding that I was in town for a number of days and came back three times, had different dishes every time and loved them all. Been going here for years with family and friends. It always seems that we get “forgotten” when dining. The food is great but service is absolutely awful. Went in last night for an early dinner, we arrived promptly at 5:00pm and did not get to leave until 7:00pm! This would have not been a problem if we had food and actually saw our server. Our plan was to order an appetizer, a salad, a pizza and then maybe dessert. Around 6:00pm after sitting with empty plates for about a half hour, I finally got up and had to ask the hostess for our check. We were completely ignored after getting our salads. It seems that this establishment does not know how to manage staff or table service, which is unfair to the employees and diners. I feel that we were cheated our dining experience which I so cherish after Covid closures. I think our server had been over-assigned tables while the other server just had a few- not ok.

Food is fantastic, ambience is delightful inside. Outside under the tent is a lot like glamping: heaters, black metal tables and chairs. Outside not under the tent is weather dependent. Drinks get cold quickly, so be sure to ask for refills often.

Wild goat is my go to bistro!!! This is a very special place 🧡 and a very special person works there, and her name is Nicole. My husband and I went on a date night and Nicole was our server. She was so kind and suggested really good options. I have a few autoimmune disorders so, vegan and gluten free is a must. She suggested really great food. I got the Pearl pizza with gluten free crust (i just recently found out about my intolerance, so i was bumming about this, i love carbs and grains and gluten lol 😂). The crust was so good! We had a good view of the kitchen from our table, and I saw our server have to ask the chef to set aside a pizza that hed put up to go out, as the table had literally received their starter salads only 2 minute prior.Our salads were pretty large. We could have easily shared a half size of one salad, especially as it was lunchtime, and we had ordered a pizza to split as our main course. We were on our way out of town, so we couldnt take leftovers with us. The photos looked beautiful plated but figured it was for the gram. Well. We were wrong.The food is tasty, fresh, and beautifully plated. The workers are all friendly, and we loved our waitress in particular. Even though we were dressed down in our car travel clothes, they treated us just as nicely as people who came in fancy.One suggestion: if you get there as they are preparing for weekend dinner, ask to have your name on their list! While on vacation my husband and I spent one night in Petaluma. After visiting 5 other restaurants and walking out, we happened upon this little gem. The restaurant was small and crowded, but they were able to seat us right away at the front window counter. We really enjoyed this spot and made friends with the couple who sat down next to us during our meal. Shared a Farmers Daughter Salad and Mediterranean Pizza with Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake for dessert. Everything was DELICIOUS!! Turned out to be the best meal of our entire vacation. The Farmers Daughter salad is easily the best salad I’ve had in a long time. The vegetables are finely chopped and tossed with the excellent fig balsamic. The New York steak was less impressive; the meat was obviously grilled cold so the middle was much less done than the medium rare ordered and compared with the outer char. The steak was rather flavorless and chewy. Five stars for the salad, four for the setting and service, and three for the steak.

As a member of the service industry take this review with a grain of salt. Bottom line the food is subpar, the dishes look exquisite but fail to satisfy. The service was distasteful. On multiple occasions I was flabbergasted by my server’s responses to my request. For instance: “I will ask the kitchen if they can do this for you, but they typically don’t as they are very VERY busy”. My response was shocked silence. As I felt hurt that my request was burdensome for the kitchen. Then when we asked why we’re being charged a service fee the response was “I mean I asked the same question and the owner said it was because of labor costs. I mean I don’t really know.” The server seemed confused about whether to side with guests or the owner. I appreciate the server assistants who made sure we weren’t neglected. The GF rolls were AMAZING, the burgers and BLTAS sandwich were super flavorful. And the kids had grilled cheese with apple slices. Chocolate chip cookies and lemons bars were a sweet treat. They are trying way too hard to make an ‘artsy’ or ‘designer’ burger, and have made mistakes from the sour ketchup to the French bread used instead of a bun. Dinner was nice. I liked what everyone else was having like tacos and Calamari but the pork chop was a little dry and a little high priced. But look forward to coming back and try some other choices.

Small restaurant in the historic Petaluma Downtown area. The food is very good. Service is also very good. It can get crowded, so phone ahead for reservations or go during non rush hours.
