I love Dr Faisal but the front desk is impossible to deal with. Telephone waiting time is 20-30 minutes. After requesting more than once that they update pharmacy and phone number info, I think that they may finally have corrected these issues, but it remains to be seen for sure. My message to Dr Faisal about dealing with the front desk went unanswered. Ive been waiting for 4 months for a prescription that requires Dr Faisal to contact insurance company and they’ve done nothing about it. I had an appointment today with Dr Faisal and it took him getting on the phone with the pharmacy to understand that his office needed to initiate the process.

I met Dr. Faisal today for my reoccurring headaches. This has been going on for a while and kind of started to take a toll on me. He was very attentive, thorough, and showed me a lot of respect and empathy. It has been difficult to get someone to listen and he did. Not sure where our exams will lead us too but I believe Dr. Faisal knows exactly what he’s doing and I trust him already.Ladies at the front were also very attentive and fast I appreciated that. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Get checked :)

Getting in to get my sleep study to start was extremely difficult, time consuming and aggravating. It took over 4.5 months, which in my opinion is much too long to wait... After I finally got scheduled it went very smoothly. Extremely impressed with TJs knowledge, professionalism and thoroughness all the way through the study.

The little front desk girls are so rude and shouldnt be dealing with patients. They definitely need more training, phone calls need to start being screened. Even while i was there i over heard them being so rude on the lines. But in person all smiles. lol. Anyways never going back they triggered my migraines 😂

Dr Faisal is great. I have been going to him for years. He is very attentive and listens to my concerns. He is thorough in his evaluation and testing and does not over treat or medicate unless truly indicating and benefits outweighs the risk. Not only do I see him personally but I refer all my patients for neurology consultations to him. I trust his judgement and his treatment plan.

The diagnostic procedure went fine. My issue is that I arrived 20 minutes early for my appt, but had to wait for over 90 minutes to get in. My appt was for 4 pm, but it was 5:30 before I was called.Id normally just chalk this up to a glitch in the schedule and let it go, but then reread the text message sent to me earlier saying Id be charged $150 for missing an appt unless I gave 24 hrs notice. Seems you value your time much more than mine...

Getting an EEG of the brain was a simple easy short test of brain wave light stimulus and recording brain activity. A cap and electro points that have light weight wire connectors to the areas on conductivity. Each area had a gel applied prior to resting. You are asked to stay still close your eyes during the test which was approximately 20 minutes. Lay back, close your eyes and rest during your test. Comfort and ease. The technician was alway cortious and professional.

DONT GO HERE! Its a horrible place! The PA named De Vera was mean and nasty to my handicapped elderly friend in great pain in a wheelchair. . Snapped at her sarcastically and wouldnt answer questions without sarcasm.The doctor stuck his head in, then out quickly.. Took no time with her.Couldnt even read her MRI on his computer. My friend cried all the way home. She had a dream of walking again--a dream they distroyed! These people are creeps.

Dr. Faisal’s office staff is much better than a year ago. However, my appointment was changed two times prior to this visit.I checked in to see the doctor at 2pm. Another lady came after me and said she had a 2pm appointment. The office staff member said it was for 2:45pm, but she reiterated and said it was 2pm. They brought her in before me, and I had to wait 45 minutes before I saw the doctor. This was uncalled for. If a patient has the same time as another patient, the patient who checks in first should be called first.

I recently had an experience with Western Neurological Associates that I feel needs to be shared. After patiently waiting for three months for my appointment, and ensuring my PCP sent an authorization, I was taken aback when the clinic informed me just three days prior that my authorization had expired. I was never provided with the details or a copy of this authorization, so I was unaware of its expiry date. When I expressed my concerns about this last-minute notification, I was told that reminding patients isnt their responsibility. I asked for a priority rescheduling given the circumstances, but was told Id have to wait another three months. Its disappointing to see a healthcare facility prioritize paperwork over patient care. If timely medical attention is crucial for you, I would advise considering other options.

Worst Service Ive ever had! I was told by Nurse Practitioner That because of the kind of insurance I had Iwouldnt be able to see the doctor. They canceled my appointment 2 months in a row I told them that I needed a med change and Im out of medicine and they still have not answered my messages or my calls. When I showed up amidst heat wave to pick up my Sleep Test kit at 2:30 pm appointed time today, the waiting was quite full.So I decided to walk up the counter to check in. They closed the clear counter shield. After a minute or so, my📱rang @2:42pm. And they opened the counter shield, asked for my name, & informed me that they dont have a kit for me. The portal went down & they will call me when its available. You can come in anytime since you live close by.😵 Why did they wait until 2:42pm, 12 minutes after my appointment time to inform me? It was really hot to drive cross town! Theres a heat wave!

Once we got in the experience was great. I was very disappointed to get a call the day before the appointment tell us there was a problem with the Medicare card. I offered to pay by check, credit card or cash if the card did not go through but felt by the response we were being put off. This visit was critical as the medical group would not use the records of Dr. Chen who had left the group. The several week wait prevented us from proceeding with a legal Letter bing Trust.

I have had the absolute worst experience with this office. I took two sleep studies through them back in November and still do not know the results. Upon completion of my last sleep study, they were supposed to have scheduled a follow up with me, but forgot to do it. After a month of waiting, I finally had to call them to schedule the follow up. On the day of the follow up, it was a Telehealth appointment. The office told me they would call me shortly before the start of the appointment, and they would send me a link to the Telehealth waiting room. No one called me until 15 minutes AFTER my appointment time started. I then proceeded to wait another 40 minutes for Dr. Faisal to join, and he never did. I was unable to wait any longer, as I had to go to work (which I made them aware of beforehand), so I logged off. They then called me and said the doctor would come on in 10 minutes, if I could just wait a bit longer. I agreed, but lo and behold 10 minutes came and went and the doctor still didnt join. So, I had to log off again. They said they would go ahead and reschedule me, but no one ever called me back. I later asked my primary physician if she could help run interference with the situation and try to get the results for me. She and her staff called Dr. Faisals office numerous times over the course of a week, and were never able get through to anyone. So, here I am 4 months later, and I still dont know the results of my sleep studies. Do yourself a favor, and go anywhere but here.

-Dr. Faisal is very thorough and very professional. He takes the time to get to know the patient, and has an appreciation for a range of issues corollary to neurology. He doesn’t waste any time in appointments and is quick and efficient, but he is also thorough in following up on every issue, taking a broad history, listening/hearing my concerns. I sometimes have trouble being concise/staying on topic when responding to questions as a result of neurological things and I feel like he does a good balance of listening and redirecting in order to stay within the given time. I have had to wait a few times for my appointment, but I am more than happy to do that because I always would rather a Dr. who prioritizes patient needs over being rigidly on time - I have certainly been on the receiving end !!-His office is very organized and follows through, which is helpful for those w neurological issues. The nurses are all very nice in my experience. The office is so clean and spacious and they take many precautions - you can also easily do a tele-health appointment.-I have to mention: The EEG tech is so gentle and kind - I’ve been having EEGs since I was a child and I’ve always thought they were terrible and uncomfortable, but this technician’s care and attention to detail makes them so much nicer and the plush leather recliner chair they have is so comfortable, like sitting in your own living room!

My issue was not addressed in total. I was rushed through because they booked me on a consultation even after the office knew I was a referral for a specific test. I was not notified to avoid blood thinners before this test, so it didn’t happen and now my issues are not fully tested. Dr. was knowledgeable but not commutative. After all, I have this issue to deal with still. The Dr did identify one issue, but there is more than one thing happening in my case and that was not explored. Coming into the office it a little time to get the back, so I get in the back waited about 15 minutes. Then the PA came in took really good care of me. The PA checked me all over made sure that my medicine was right, she even explained my MRI results so could understand. ThePA took her time and answers any questions that I had. I specifically made an appointment with Dr. Faisel because I’d met him while attending an appointment with my friend who suffered migraines and he seemed very nice and had indeed helped her at least temporarily. He started out nice enough & knowledgable, however, tried to pin my issues on anxiety and said my pain/neuropathy/fatigue symptoms had no cause as if it were in my head. After switching to another neurology team as well as getting a third opinion at UCLA I did indeed have a solid diagnosis and there absolutely was cause behind my condition after he all but made me feel discarded. I give two stars at least for his beginning effort with my case and his introduction to chiropractic care which was helpful. I believe he is better suited for more solid cases like MS or Parkinson’s, etc where the diagnosis is sometimes more clear. If you have an ANS condition or fibromyalgia & your female, I do not recommend this office. You are better suited to go to a good female neurologist who listens and actually believes you.

This is the worst specialist office. Stay away from them. I was scheduled to see Dr Faisal but I have never seen this specialist in all my visits. I have seen his PA Elaine Chen and let me tell you this provider is terrible. Worst bedside manners, rude, abrupt just thinks within the box and does not even want to discuss anything else. She will dictate the consultation. If she hated people why go into the service of people to help with their medical issues. If you need meds to be authorized by a specialist forget the medication, she will not bother to even try getting you the medication. A terrible office where the supervising physician has let the PA abuse her patients. We are paying for their service . On your first appointment they seemed to be nice, but after that they dont greet you when you come in. April 18 I came in to pick up my home study gear the person who gave it to me, came in the room and said... have you done a home study before? Im on the phone and cant take too long. Even though I asked, it wasnt until my eye caught the note on his prescription that I found out what my specific diagnosis was. And this was at the end of my second visit with him. Arriving 15 minutes before your set time you fill out the paperwork, then the gentleman explains to you whats going to happen. You proceed to your bed where youre hooked up to I forget I think 22 sensors or more. Theres another brief explanation of whats going on with a easy history lesson on sleep apnea. Time to take a little lala sleep, around 7 hours you awake. I was given a short explanation of what happened and I was able to see the results of the study done. I enjoyed the fact that it was only 8 minutes away from where I lived and made my drive home at 5:30 am in the morning very easy.

I have pain and feels like walking on pins and needles. I went for nerve tests in my legs. While the doctor who performed my tests was very nice but unfortunately, he wasnt allowed to tell me what is wrong with me. The front desk refused to give me a follow up appointment with doctor Faisal. My primary doctor never received the tests results from this center. I had to ask the centers receptionist twice to please fax it again. 3 weeks went by and it never happened. Meanwhile I am in pain. I had to fax them myself to my Primary doctor making sure, he got them OK. Then, I wanted to discuss the results, but my primary doctor said only the Neurologist Doctor Faisal will be able to discuss my tests results with me. I called the center asking for an appointment but none is available before 2 months from now. I told her I really cant wait that long with so much pain. So, I kindly asked if a doctor could at least call me for 5 minutes to discuss my tests results, but the receptionist was so unaccommodating and so very rude with me yelling SO DO YOU WANT THIS APPOINTMENT 2 MONTHS FROM NOW OR NOT? I said I am sorry but I am in pain and cannot stay 2 months like this so please arrange for a neurologist to call me. She answered very abruptly: Just discuss the results with your primary doctor when I had already told her 3 times that my primary had told me, he has no knowledge of understanding the nerve tests results and was told that only a neurologist can. She did not care at all and hang up the phone saying sarcastically bye, have a good day. I cant believe there is not a single doctor at this center who can discuss my results over the phone. The pain in my legs is getting unbearable... HORRIBLE PLACE. DO THE DOCTORS AT THIS PLACE REALIZE HOW INEFFICIENT AND RUDE IS THE FRONT STAFF? This is beyond my understanding.

I dont usually put too much stock into these negative reviews because too often they are based on one bad experience, one bad day, etc. Well, this is not one of those reviews because Ive been coming to WNA for nearly six years and I will not be going back. Today was the straw that broke my back.For nearly 6 years I would appear 10-20 minutes early to an appointment only to end up in the waiting room for at least hour (I waited 2.5 hours once). And this wait time was not done, they would just take you to your own personal room where you would wait another 30 minutes. Not a peep from me, I needed this doctor and as long as I get to see him that day, fine, Ill deal with it.But today traffic was bad so I ended up getting to my appointment 10 minutes late. I am able to check in, however. I take a seat and everything seems fine. 30 MINUTES LATER, the technician burst through the door and tells me he is unable to see me today because I checked in late. Hey jerk, what the hell have you been doing for the last 30 minutes?What makes this worse is that it takes me over an hour to get to this office. I have asked a couple times about seeing a closer specialist but my current doctor has consistently advised against it because he claims to know me well enough to make my care better.When I think of all the time I patiently waited in that damn waiting room I feel like such an idiot. And maybe I am...DONT BE AN IDIOT LIKE I AM...DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE.As for the other staff? If you need to contact them by phone you better hope they pick up. They rarely called me back after leaving detailed messages on their answering service. Seems the office is run by NP’s or medical assistants. Had two visits. My PCP wanted me to ask for him only. In first appt, he barely spent a minute or two with me. Ordered sleep study. The follow up appointment, to discuss results of sleep study, was done by NP only, could not have the benefit of his expert advice. NPs in both visits were fine (No complaint). Quality of care is in question? Some other patients in the office shared similar experiences. I should have a right to see him which was denied to me. So I rate him as I did (still 3 stars are not bad for him, favorable ratings, that is what he deserves).

Ive seen at least six doctors in the last eight months trying to get to the root of the problem and not one of them has really seemed to care so it was a nice change. I scheduled a sleep study approximately two weeks before my appointment. An opening came up to meet the doctor and discuss it prior to the study. My GP sent a prescription for the study and I called the day before to confirm they had everything they needed and was told they Had everything including insurance authorization and that somebody would call me to discuss the procedure. No one ever called and.a few hours before I was supposed to come they called and said they couldn’t find anything and I had to cancel. I have a voicemail stating that they mistakenly Scheduled the study. Totally on organized. And I still never received a call to follow up and probably wouldn’t come if they did at this point.

Don’t expect the office staff to be competent, you’re place on hold for at the very least 10 min. Which is unexceptionable. The women of the front office seem very impersonal, inefficient and incapable. It gets even more frustrating when you witness them not working and only talking about personal issues.They overbook so when you’re there you’re waiting in the waiting room for 30 min to an hour before even taking you in a room for about the same about of time before you ever see the doctor.When you make an appointment (A month in advanced), they will reschedule your appointment because their office staff booked another appointment before you that overlaps your appointment so they will bump your appointment instead of correcting their mistake which is unprofessional. How about marking that space off permanently for consultations so all the staff knows not to make regular appointments within that time.They have no sense of compassion for anyone else’s importance of time. You’re treated like cattle being ran through a shoot. And usually when you do see the doctor it takes only 15min.The office staff needs to learn more organizational, scheduling and phone skills. Additionally, if they are so busy, then they need to hire more people to handle the work load.Our time is just as important!

I called for 2 days straight with no answer. I get a text asking for my insurance. I sent everything and I got no response. They call me 4 days later telling me I had an appointment. I was lost and the lady was rude for no reason. I only got to see a nurse practitioner and not a doctor l. Not happy at all!

I have been going to Dr. Faisal for over ten years since moving from another state.I have suffered with severe migraine headaches since high school. Dr. Faisal has been my savior by helping me manage my migraines through recommending and having me try different medications to find the ones that work most effectively. When I had issues come up Dr. Faisal and his staff addressed them and still do to help me work them out so I can continue my treatment and my medications seamlessly. He is caring and I feel very comfortable about going to see him. He listens to my concerns. He and his staff over the years have been very accommodating to special needs that I required in regards to medications and insurance issues. He also helped me get through some horrific environmental issues which exacerbated my migraines.To me Dr. Faisal is reminiscent of the best doctors I have had and I highly recommend him

I have been seeing Dr Faisal since November for Chronic Migraines. He’s busy and his front office staff is busy BECAUSE HE IS AMAZING!!! Be patient, sit down and wait. Give the front office staff some grace, their phones ring OFF THE HOOK. Dr. Faisal takes the time to listen, to adjust medications and treatment as needed, to go over what’s been going on since your last visit, etc. he gets backed up because of emergencies, a new patient that had a stroke and needs extra time, whatever it is, he takes the time to treat each patient with the dignity and respect and attention they deserve!The front office staff is also amazing. They are busy, like really busy, but they always take the time to help with an insurance question, scheduling issue, etc. Next time you are there, take them a box of treats and say thank you instead of running and writing a horrible review because you had to wait.

So the doctors assistant is wonderful here. However, the recptiobist is rude and and was consistently rude with several patients. Kind of sad when everyone else seems great. I saw her close the window in 2 peoples faces . It seems people who need help have to deal with too much bs. Just be nice polite people will be nice back.

Western Neurological was an entirely efficient and professional experience. The booking staff was helpful and pleasant when booking an appointment.My doctor was Elaine who was fully informative and had great bedside manner while dealing with me. She was incredibly knowledgeable, putting me at ease about my symptoms and knowing that I was in good hands.I left feeling secure and hopeful about the help I received from this center. I highly recommend using Western Neurological as your provider.NEW REVIEW ADDITION: Fast forward to 2 weeks after my appointment: Someone in the office gave the wrong code to my MRI so I received the wrong MRI!!! It was in the same area of the body so it wasn’t obvious, but the facts are that somehow the wrong code was given to the MRI place so I now have to get another one!Mistakes happen, but I would think there’s a better system involved for something like that.Thankfully, I wasn’t getting my leg amputated!
