If you have another dentist that accepts your insurance, I would absolutely recommend to never go to this office. Based off their many MANY one star reviews, not even just mine, that should tell you in itself that this dentist office is not worth the time or experience. They have been very difficult with scheduling and have canceled my appointments multiple times. This last time they stated that my insurance did not approve my cleaning but after reaching out to my insurance, I found that it was approved and only the $1000 gum treatment they offered was denied. I tried to call the 24 hour help desk but they already canceled my appointment without even speaking to me so I think I am just going to drive to my hometown dentist 2 hours away because I have had the worst experience. Do not go here. They are awful. Would also like to add that the last time they needed to reschedule my appointment they only called one time, left no voicemail so I didn’t even see it THEN scheduled me on a day they aren’t even open. Seriously unprofessional I cannot express enough to not even bother. Every person I have talked to has been so rude to me whether it be on the phone or in person. The most unwelcoming experience I have ever had with a dental office. I have never left a bad review in my life and this is the only place that has ever compelled me to.

Absolutely dreadful experience at Western Dental. My husband went in for a routine X-ray and cleaning, only to be met with a barrage of deceit and overcharging tactics. Despite our insurance clearly covering two cleanings a year, they brazenly claimed otherwise and attempted to extort $400 for a cleaning. To make matters worse, they insisted on unnecessary procedures like pulling out wisdom teeth and gingivitis treatments, which my husbands previous dentist never mentioned just six months ago. Its abundantly clear that Western Dental cares more about lining their pockets than providing honest and quality dental care. Avoid this money hungry practice at all costs.

My experience here has been terrible. When I received my exam, I was given a misdiagnosis and decided to not move forward with any treatment.I am now being charged 6k for services that were never provided. I have tried to resolve this numerous times with different people and have not gotten anywhere. I would avoid this place like the plague. It has been probably the worst experience of my life.

I made an emergency appointment at 5am, I was able to get an appointment at this location at 9am the same day for my mother. She was very nervous but she felt very comfortable with the staff and they were kind to both of us. They made sure to explain the details to us and do the most they could for her as soon as possible. I highly recommend this location, they have a very efficient and friendly team. Thank you for the reassuring experience.

Horrible service, my husband got there for his 8am appointment and the doors were locked. The people waiting in the parking lot were let in about 10 minutes later, but there was no reception staff for anther 20 minutes. After finally being taken in for an X-ray, he overheard another guest being told it would be at least an hour before they could be seen, so he asked and was told that they would not be doing the cleaning that he made the appointment for and that it would be quite a while before he could see anyone for an exam. At least 4 other customers walked out in frustration . Staff was not concerned at all. Super frustrating and a waste of time.

Made an appt over the phone for tooth extraction due to incredible pain, not being able to eat, not able to close mouth all the way, or sleep...the office personnel tells me over phone that I have insurance and my out of pocket cost would be 50 something dollars. He specifically stated the overall procedure would cost 296 dollars and that my insurance would cover 80 percent. I arrive 5 mins before my appointment time. I check in, and sit in the lobby to wait to be called. 45 MINS LATER, Im called to the desk to state that I no longer am covered by insurance and that the total cost is now over 1000 dollars. I was also specifically told no payment plans would be accepted and the entire 1000 plus bill needed to be paid in full before the emergency procedure could begin. I re-iterated that I was in immense pain, the desk lady said I know. After seeing no option in sight and being in incredible pain, I left the office to seek an emergency room to subdue the immensely incredible pain that this office seemingly ignored. I feel like this is medical malpractice somehow, almost scamming. To leave me sitting for nearly an hour past my appt time just to attempt to extort over 1000 dollars cash for a simple tooth extraction.... I will never...ever..step foot near any western dental again.Just for additional information, I got a response from western dental in refard to this review, they stated they wanted me to contact them via email to solve this issue. I emailed them and asked how they intended to solve the situation....I never received any email back, and its been several months now. Just a heads up, if its in the public eye, theyll act like they care. But behind closed doors, Ive been ignored, twice now....dont think you can just burn people and hope nobody notices western dental!

I have been waiting for the past hour and a half and i only got an answer that the doctor is doing a treatment so i guess theres only one dentist at this location. Hope they get more doctors or they do the appointments for a real time of consultation. Please find another location.

It’s pretty evident that there is some internal promotion within the office that requests five star reviews in exchange for something because they’re trying to combat the ridiculous amount of bad reviews they have. Almost all of the “good” reviews they have are robotic and followed up by “I would recommend this office.” Clearly fabricated, and I decided to ignore all of the bad reviews to give this dentist office a try because it was close and I am in pain. I got a call yesterday to confirm my appt, great, went smoothly. The day of my appt, their system is down and they said they will call me if it comes back up to schedule me in. No regard for time constraints or prior commitments and when I asked if they could just examine so we could schedule a later surgery for my wisdom tooth, they said the doctor needs the information and can’t just be poking around in peoples mouth without knowing who it is. I honestly think that’s fair, but being in pain, wasn’t notified at all about the inconvenience beforehand and never having been at this dentists office before it was needless to say a bad experience. Their system seems to be a continuous issue and until they get it fixed you’re better off not trying your luck with them.

Western Dental Carmichael. This office has a very bad issue with scheduling. On my first visit, I needed to wait for 30 minutes. When I complained they said it was because my appointment was at 1 pm when employees just come back from lunch break, so are not ready. So why not schedule me at 1.30pm when the employees are ready instead of 1pm? On my second appointmt, I came there but they couldnt find my schedule in their system, so I needed to reschedule again. My third appointment went fine only 5 minutes late. My last appointment was yesterday, but in the morning somebody left a message asking me to come at 1pm because the doctor said that there would be not enough time to work on me at 3pm. I found the message at 1pm and called them back asking about my appointment status at 3pm. They said I needed to reschedule, I was upset because they gave my schedule 2 weeks ago and just wanted to swap me around at the last minute. Then they said to come anyway, I came and waited for 45 minutes then told them to reschedule because I had other commitments at 4.30 pm. They rescheduled me without showing any sort of sorry expressions having made me wait for 45 minutes for nothing. I always have so many things to do, not just following the messy schedule of theirs! This office seems to never respect and value its customers time at all. Such awful service.

This office does not do well with communication. there is always information left out and the only person that was of help was the receptionist. we were told to come back 2 weeks ago so we did and they are closed but the office hours say open and no one notified us of anything. people pulled up with the same issue and said it wasnt the first time they were closed on a day they made an appointment.

I had my wisdom teeth removed by their oral surgeon. Thank you Dr Ahmed. It was quick and easy. What took the longest was local anesthesia (waiting to take effect). The removal was as quick as a min.Thank you for caring about my oral health. I had a cavity in one that was giving me issues regarding hygiene. It hadddd to gooooo.!!! They all did.Thank you to his assistant Helen for taking care of me and checking in with me.

This place sucks! Their corporate office that sets up their scheduling is soooo bad. It started with them mixing up me and my husbands names on our appointments and then when we had to reschedule, we continuously got emails and texts with the wrong appointment times. After my cleaning, I inquired about their free Invisiline consultation and the receptionist said shed call me back because she wasnt sure how that worked, but I never heard back. Then I suddenly get a text with an appointment reminder. I called to see what this was (since I already had my exam/cleaning and we had already been dealing with excessive/incorrect appointment alerts) and they straight up scheduled me to have an appointment with an orthodontist to get braces!? Its just baffling! When I called to get an itemized receipt for the basic cleaning I received, the corporate office keeps telling me it will take at least 30 days and insist that Im asking about setting up a payment?? I just dont understand what they are doing. The reps literally do NOT listen to anything you say. Ive been on hold for 45 minutes trying to get a hold of the physical office I had my appointment at- at least the people in the office were seemingly nice and hopefully they will help me get the simple itemized receipt for an appointment I had almost 2 weeks ago. Website says theyre open but then Corporate says theyre closed- no one answers the phone and you keep getting sent back to corporate who is useless. All of this has been awful.

My experience was amazing because my doctor is the best. He really listens to me and makes sure I dont feel any pain never gives me unexpected surprises. I always get nervous with any dentist because of pain! Or because they dont listen to my concerns or realize I have some anxiety. Im always assured that nothing bad would happen no swelling no pain and then everything bad would definitely happen anyway..like the time the electricity went out during my wisdom teeth extractions at a different dentist in san jose...i mean just the ugly looking tools they use alone make anyone nervous like that hugeSyringe with the extra long needle....Mann that was always the scariest when I was little. My dentist growing up Dr.Zotovich always had to give me sleepy gas and tie me up with those leather belts inorder to do any work on my teeth. I was a super dramatic kid because I had a bad experience. After turning 18 I had to see a regular dentist and I really wasnt ready for that so I only got my wisdom teeth done which really freaked me out and then I havent seen a dentist in years. Now I met such a sweet and gentle doctor who just tells me what to expect and Im OK with it because he doesnt lie to me. Best part is i dont feel any pain during the appointment. So far Ive had 3 appointments with him and I still dont know his name I feel so bad but hes amazing! His assistants are all very knowledgeable too! Jazmin the woman at the front desk is very nice shes always explaining to me all the important details before we start the procedures and afterwards very clear without any surprises. Today u had an extraction and it went so well so quick no pain at all. As I said I havent seen a dentist in years so Im very happy that I found a new doctor who made me feel so comfortable. Im taking my son to him and my mom as well. I highly recommend him. Jazmin if youre reading this please help me out with my doctors name. This is Tania R. The receptionist Stormie was absolutely incredible. She was kind, understanding, and made me feel comfortable ….. everyone knows how frightening and scary going to the dentist can be but her and the other employees made me feel relax and welcomed I would recommend this place, especially people that do go to other western dental. If I could I would give a -5 star review I had a 2pm appointment for an exam to later find out they don’t do an exam after 1pm then they have a sign on one door saying checking in this door to later find out it was through other door like what the heck they need to get their stuff together. Not coming back here, I tried calling the office to let them know I would be 3min late to my appointment, but was on hold with someone who wasn’t even from the office, when I showed up they had two different entrances and when I check in they told me I had an appointment for a braces fitting, I told the receptionist that would be for after my appointment to see the dentist, then told me I would have to go to the other door to check in, I didn’t have a problem with that, but the problem I had was standing at the other front desk for almost 20min waiting to be checked in with no receptionist to be in sight and there was no line, basically missing the entire appointment, just for the receptionist to come and tell me that they would need to reschedule me because the doctor is behind and that they don’t do exams after 1pm? I told the receptionist I’m currently 4 months pregnant and been having some tooth pain and really needed to see a dentist only to be told they can’t see me today, I was really frustrated and now I’m getting multiple text stating I missed both my appointment. I really don’t recommend this place, I’ve worked in healthcare for 6 years as an MA and reception before and when I saw a change in schedule and know that we don’t do certain things after certain times, I would call patient ahead to reschedule so it wouldn’t cause a conflict in there personal life if they had things to do.

This place is first and foremost a for-profit business. You dont get a personal dentist, not much 1 on 1 time. Most of the time youll be waiting on the staff to get to you like youre at the DMV, and I mean HOURS.Its very much the fast food of dentistry. If the fast food place was very slow and kept getting your order wrong.And if you dont have Medi-Cal or your kid doesnt have free dental, you are going to get your wallet sucked dry. They will find every minor issue and recommend the most expensive procedures for them.Some of the staff are nice, but there is no connection, no sense of being heard and understood. Everything is an uphill battle here. Find an actual dentists office.

I needed my front tooth to have a root canal done. When I scheduled my appointment, I told them what tooth needed to get done and they assured me they would work on that tooth. I just got out from a 2.5 hour long appointment only to realize they worked on the tooth next to it. Ive been having issues with my front tooth for years and I came it to get that one done in particular and they avoided it. Im not going back. Id rather pay thousands of dollars to get it fixed than go back.

Made an appointment for 1:30 and when we came in, the receptionist insisted having an appointment for 1:30 wasnt even an option. She didnt even bother checking whether we had an appointment. Then she said we must be confused about the location. Guess who got a call the next day about their missed 1:30pm appointment AT THIS LOCATION? She also said the first visit isnt free (it is). She also said the consultation isnt free (it is). She also said they dont accept access dental (they do). We went to another location and were treated with respect and kindness, and they set everything up easily. The receptionist has no idea what shes doing and shes snooty on top of that. It seems like she just doesnt know how to do her job. Either train her more, or fire her because shes driving away customers and wasting their time.

Jessica at the front desk is a BEAST!!! Ive had 3 appointments in the last two weeks and noticed she is the only one doing both front desk and financing in the back!! She was even on the phone with 2 insurances while checking me in!! Always on her toes and ready to do her job. Very admirable and fantastic. She deserves a RAISE!!! Always has a smile on her face and is kind and friendly, always makes my visits feel warm and welcoming. If I could give her 10 stars I would!!! It is a call center that schedules appointments randomly with no coordination with the actual dental office. When you think you have an appointment the office will likely call you to reschedule. Their receipts say estimated costs which arent reimbursable by insurance. When I call to get a new receipt I am put on hold 3 times and they cant write me a new receipt. Horrible customer service.

Very bad experience! I was in pain from an old filling that came off. I scheduled for a filling service plus cleaning, agent on the phone confirmed the schedule. When i got to the clinic they won’t do the filling despite of what i feel. They said initial examination must be done first. Ok, i guess i need to suffer a few more weeks. Lady gave me an estimate of 5 thousand dollars co pay for everything that needs to be done. 2 implant, 2 fillings, etc..I only went there for 1 reason and now i have a 5k estimate. I called the office and scheduled for filling and cleaning only (second time). When i got there, they said i don’t have a schedule. What???? Lady said i may have called the corporate office to schedule. She said they make mistakes on schedules and i should have called the branch office. I took a day off without pay for nothing and they won’t help me. Why would you put the corporate office number online if its useless?! Scheduling system sucks. They want to reschedule me in 2 weeks. NO THANK U, I HAD ENOUGH! Im going somewhere else. Not worth it. I wish theres a negative star.

Took my husband in to get help with his teeth and they did and xray and said he needed 4 root canals and that we have to call a specialist because how extreme his teeth are. We call medical to find a specialist and there is literally no one within a 100 miles from where we are. Hes in so much pain to where he doesnt even want to save the teeth anymore but get them extracted. So I call the dentist back today and they refuse to pull his teeth, because the dentist doesnt feel comfortable. 🙃 then why are you a dentist? On top of this I cant go to another location because they did not put his xrays in the syst and nobody cam find them. Very unprofessional in my opinion. On top of that he has been in more pain since the xrays because the xray technician was rough.

Terrible time management. Went in for a cleaning. Waited in a chair for an hour and 20 minutes for them to tell me they were to busy and I had to reschedule. Came in a few weeks later and waited at the counter for 20 minutes before anyone came to check me in. Waited forever before being called back. The absolute worst dentist I have dual coverage here and they tried to charge me 1450 for a crown where my other dentist with single coverage charged me 450. To make matters even worse every appointment you go to they are 1-2 hours late before you even go back to the chair!! Absolutely ridiculous canceled western dental and never go to this office!! I am currently waiting to hear back about my Invisalign treatment. I showed up for my appointment over 2 months ago that was cancelled, without being told, due to them not having a dentist to provide the service. I was told I would get a call back the following Monday from the office manager. I didnt. I lost my tray and so I called with no success of reaching them, so I did the 45 min drive to ask if they will give me my next tray. They said they would order me a duplicate and they will call me within two weeks so I can pick it up, its been 3 and I havent heard from them! Luckily I found my tray, but boy was it painful from the shifting that took place. So I am currently wearing a nearly 3 month old tray that is tattered and discolored, no matter how many cleaning tablets or scrubbing I do. I do not recommend this place. Just getting a hold of them is a challenge. I have had to call corporate to connect me or have my friend call me while shes at her appointment so she can hand the phone to the receptionist. Now billing, thats another issue, I was told one price at the beginning and I paid my portion in full on day one. 9 months later Im told I owe more. Thank goodness I kept my initial contract. The price I got was affordable and much better than other providers I went to first, but having my treatment extended due to their issue and many inconveniences I would say its not worth going there.

Worst experience ever. Male X-ray technician was so rough and rude with an extremely unprofessional attitude. Doctor forgot to introduce himself. They give me a wrong price list and after my insurance company faxed over the correct list I was never able to talk to them again. No option to leave a VM. Dont ever go near to this place

My husband and I had a really good experience there. Our insurance was being difficult yet the Access Dental were really patient and tried to help us. When we were finally able to solve that issue the appointment for us were full of people who were polite and answered all our questions no matter how stupid it may have seemed. I’ve been to many dental clinics whether the staff were military or civilian. If any clinic of them all stood out, it would be Access Dental-Carmichael in Sacramento, CA; yes they were better than military dental clinics. I was always treated with respect and the staff preserved my privacy. I’ve never felt unwelcome when I stepped through their doors and was always seated quickly. I personally never experience a wait time however, on the off chance someone has I doubt it was for more than ten minutes. Generally people fear dentists, but I know that when I schedule an appointment with Access Dental-Carmichael I’ll be in good hands. Thank you all of Carmichael dental staff. Keep doing what you do and letting patients leave with a better smile than they originally walked in with!

I saw some poor reviews but also some great ones so I tried them. All the staff acted like I was a huge inconvenience for showing up. I actually asked if it isnt recommended to get annual check-ups anymore because 4 different staff were surprised when I just said annual visit. The dentist seemed like he had somewhere to be. No education or counseling. They also double-booked the hygienist so I didnt get a cleaning. In short they took my X-Rays said my teeth were fine. That was 2 hours. If I wanted my teeth cleaned it would have been another 30 min wait plus the time it took to clean!

The back office, i.e Dentist and Tech are awesome people. The front staff, not so great. Specifically, the latino girl that does the billing; the one with the lashes . Had some work done. There was an adjustment do to insurance. However, the numbers were not adding up. So I compared my contract plus, all of the payments. I also, called the billing hotline and asked for the itemized statement of my account. Well, that amount was hundreds of dollars different from what I was being told. I called numerous times to explain their error. Customer service states that insurance payment are entered by the local office. I called the local office and asked to contact information to the regional manager since latino girl caught an attitude and hung up on me. low and behold, there was about a 900 difference between the amount this billing clerk was reporting vs what I really owed. Makes me wonder, how many patients she has tried to run this scheme on. I will NEVER go back to this place again.

Went to the appointment, they took X-rays, then told me I had to be transferred to Folsom, when I live in Carmichael. Then told me that they would send my X-rays to Folsom and for me to call the Folsom office in a few days to see what to do from there. So a few days went past and I called the Folsom office, they had no idea who I was, didn’t have my X-rays, and told me me to check back. The last year, whenever myself or my husband has an appointment, we have come in only to be told we dont have an appointment or they changed the time without notifying anyone. The staff in back, the hygienist is great, my Doctor Guerra is fantastic and great with high anxiety patients such as myself. Its the front staff unfortunately that are dropping the ball. Every time I come in, I hear them canceling appointments or telling people they dont have anything scheduled with them that day, then your treated like a walk in. Worst customer service ever had a appointment at 9am sat there for 2 plus hours. Both times I asked what the wait all they said was they were getting the room ready. No apologies no explanation just rude. No respect. Do not know the definition of appointment.

I recommend this place, most of the girls speak Spanish and they made me feel good. Especially Patty Eya helped me a lot and explained the finances and the treatment to me. He helped me with my appointments and helped me with my payments. Without a doubt Patty was very professional.
