I have been a client of West Dermatology since I moved out here in 2013.Diane Garza has been the PA who I always see. Last year she spotted a freckle that she didn’t like so it was biopsied and turned out to be a melanoma. Quickly Dr Broska removed it.Yesterday I went for my skin check and there were 2 more “freckles” that were removed.I am waiting on the biopsy results.Diane Garza does not take chances and I appreciate her for that.Melanoma can be deadly so I am happy for her diligence.I get in on time and leave in a timely manner.I have been happy with the office and their staff.Only good things to say!

Had skin cancer removal surgery. During the procedure the doctors were very understanding and seemed to know what they were doing, however due to the location of the incision the daily bandage changes became a major issue once I got home. There are literally no bandages that come close to fitting the incision area, so I had to become a bandage maker and cut and paste pieces from different bandages to make it work somehow. This is difficult and very time consuming (and probably not very sanitary), and I still have to do this for another week. This is why I gave them 3 stars, I think someone should have advised me on how to handle the bandages beforehand.

My first visit to Western Dermatology and Dr Yost- I was very impressed! The staff was professional and polite. Dr Yost was very thorough with his exam, and listened to my concerns and questions. As a S4 Melanoma patient, I feel confident that I am in good hands with Dr Yost and his staff.

Highly recommend! The dermatologist caught a malignant cancer and I was able to have it removed within 2 weeks just across the courtyard. The whole experience was as pleasant as it could have been. Very professional and knowledgeable!

The office is easy to find, with good parking. The interior is bright and spotless. My appointment time was right on schedule, no long waits. Dr. OConnell was thourough and efficient with the full body inspection. He zapped a few pre-cancerous spots and I was on my way.

I was a bit disappointed with my appointment. I was coming back to have some freezing done and all that was done was my arms. I had to show the spot on my leg and there were other spots that weren’t taken care of. It seemed like no notes were taken on my initial visit of where the freezing needed to be done. I come back in 6 months and hope I get a more thorough assessment.

Waited for over an 1:30 for a regular check up and cleaning, left before the cleaning because it was taking to long. Went to the front to let them know i was leaving, and the receptionist gave me an attitude like i did something wrong, she was not apologetic and didnt even offer me an opportunity to reschedule. So I missed 1:30 of work and I didnt even get what I went there for.

Very efficient. Efficient is the “word” that popped into my head. In addition, I have never had to wait more than 5-8 minutes and the reception staff have been great. Office staff was warm and welcoming. They were very helpful at my inability to function with the check in process using screen. I had an appointment to remove stitches from a nose procedure. When I checked in the receptionist said that I did not have an appointment on record…very frustrating. She was able to schedule me with another doctor to remove the stitches. The technician who removed the stitches was very skilled and caring making up for the scheduling mess up.

I had my first visit at West Dermatology and I am impressed. Staff was wonderful. I was called in at my appointed time. Medical assistant Eric was kind and genuinely interested to make sure he received and disseminated the correct information. Prior the visit I filled out the usual paperwork on my phone, so I didn’t have to do it at the office, check in was simple, fast, I was inside in a couple of minutes, the assistant was kind, knowledgeable, so was the doctor. I was referred to West Dermatology by Kaiser who is contracted with them for a body skin check or Dermatology issues.I had some suspicious spots that concerned me.The offices are clean and the staff are nice and are careful to ensure your ID matches up with the person checking in even when they place you in a room. It’s refreshing actually.I met with Matt Smith who is an MPA-C. He’s amazing! He quickly put me at ease with the spots I had concerns about and told me they were not anything to worry about and name them with I can’t repeat because I couldn’t even pronounce them!There was a female in the room since Iwas having a full body check. Matt was through and you can tell he knows what he is doing and checking for. He is very knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable and at ease. He asked if Ihad any concerns and addresses those 1st!He quickly put those at ease, but onone he did do a biopsy on was a mole on my breast to be safe. He was gentle and spoke to me to get my mind off of it. Matt is very professional, considerate, compassionate, smart and witty. I even asked for a separate consultation for facial improvements. He was very detailed and meticulous. I highly recommend! He gets 10 stars ⭐️

Even the parking was convenient, available & under shade for most spots. Dr. Garza radiates both loveliness & knowledge. She seems to care about her patients & unlike the majority of Drs, she names & explains any issue I may find concerning. Most just give the old oh thats nothing or eh dont worry about it. I was taken good care of by PA Garza and her assistant, Maria. A cyst was removed. I had been nervous about having this done. Procedure seemed to go well and I was made comfortable. Very considerate. Very good explanation of what to do for home care.I had told them that my pharmacy is Walgreens on Jefferson and Fred waring in La Quinta. It may have been in my record that it was CVS. No. But Rx is there. It’s close. Oh well.

I have been under Dr. Broskas care for at least 8 years. I have great confidence in her. Among hundreds of little brown spots, she caught a melanoma in a very early stage. West Derm got me in to see Dr. Jost almost immediately. I had a weird allergic reaction that made my face, eyes and neck red & swollen over the weekend. I was very happy with Dr. Jost and his assistant. Dr. Jost listened to my long story and was so nice to me since I was starting to panic a bit. Was referred by my provider, Kaiser. The actual appointment was fine. The facility is difficult to find. There is no direct access from actual street address, side roads must be used. The directions on the recorded phone instructions are unclear, need to better reference route (slowly and clearly pronounce street names) and use compass directions in addition to left or right depending on which direction is used for approach. The staff employees were pleasant and professional. Since there are two exterior doors, it was unclear which one was the correct one. Good to have shaded parking. Facility was clean and nicely designed. Christine was friendly, thorough and professional. I look forward to returning for the next appointment.

The front desk wasn’t as welcoming as other doctor’s offices I’ve been to. Receptionist asked me to spell my daughter’s 16 digit last name twice, even though I’d already given her a date of birth and spelled it once already. The NP that saw my daughter was very loud and in her face. She looked at 3 marks on her body that are all completely different, symptoms and appearance-wise, and said it was all eczema in the first minute of examining her. This was including a birthmark that she was born with, that had already been diagnosed as a congenital nevus by another doctor at a different West Dermatology location. I don’t doubt that some of it might be eczema but am definitely getting a second opinion for the lack of attention she really paid to my daughter’s rashes.

My first medical procedure (I am 74 years old) since having my tonsils removed when I was 5. Dr. Christine is a Master of her Craft! She talked me through the procedure, eliminating any anxiety I might have had, while expertly (and PAINLESSLY) removing a cyst from my back. If needed, I would not hesitate going back, or highly recommending her. I would also like to acknowledge ALL of the fine members of her team as well as the assistance of the front desk desk. My appointment was with Matthew at 8:00am. When I arrived at 7:50 I was greeted by a smiling receptionist who couldn’t be any nicer if she tried. My procedure took all of ten minutes and Matt and his medical assistant were terrific. Ok…..So no idea at all what to expect. First time age 67 and scared about cancer on my face. Dr Yost was so incredibly sensitive as I am a new patient greeting was supreme. I was very comfortable for sure.His assistant reassured me for future calls not to worry! He look over my whole body in the exam. Did biopsy couple spots of concern. Explained after home maintenance for areas removed of the 2 spots on my face.The receptionist she was sweet and very pleasant. I am totally confident either way it goes. Changing dressing and washing, applying Vaseline.IMy husband is making appointment as he will not believe from front desk greeting to very end of procedure is above and beyond excellent care. I had completed the online questionnaire but the receptionist said I had to do it again!. When called to go to the exam room I handed the computer I was using to enter my information, for the second time, to the person taking me to the exam room but she wouldn’t take it. Checked in and was taken back right away. The assistant was training another gal and asked if she could observe which was fine with me. They took a photo of my stitches to show Diana Garza and she confirmed they were ready to be removed. When they came back I told the assistant that I was fine with the trainee removing the stitches. She demonstrated how to use the scissors to get under and then snip the stitch and then the trainee finished up. She was so excited! She told me I made her day, well making her day made my day!

I have to admit I was skeptical about going here since my sister went here a few months ago because her back was so black with moles and they told her she was fine but I had one mole and I was concerned because it seemed to be getting bigger but Dr Garza assured me there was nothing to be concerned about. Even though the digital files did not adjust automatically, the office staff worked with me to get what they needed. The office was still timely at meeting my appointment time.
