After waiting for nearly four years, the West Covina library is finally back! Everything looks clean and all the staff is friendly. There are many new services available at the library and online as long as you have a library card. Theres a lot of space and seating. I got my new library card today and two books!

I loved the new upgrade and brand-new computers and faster 😀I came today and didnt know the librarys was closed on Mondays.Besides that everything its great so far ☺️

This library is the best! When will it reopen? Its been a few years and we miss it.(P.S. I hope it isnt super modernized. I think classic looks are nicer for libraries.)

Best place in my neighborhood. Children friendly and they have various of activities, I’ve been to one of the amazing free concerts. Due to the COVID 19 the children area are closed, but they’re starting various activity with kids.Everyone was so friendly and one of the lady even went out of her way to help me when she heard the wrong sound on the self checking machine before I even ask her. On the second floor, there’re huge selection of children’s book, kids can get help for their homework.

This library is CLOSED for renovations. Book drop off in the outside container is working and the librarians try to keep our hopes and spirits up. They by keep children and teen activities plugged into the community with contests, promotions like teen read month Bingo, activity kits and Cover to Cover Club. Then there is the sidewalk service. The Librarians are killing it and deserve 5+ stars.. However West Covina library seems to be facing down the longest renovation in library history where apparently little if anything is being done to complete renovations. Those causing the delay get Zero stars. It is time for a Town Hall meeting to keep residents informed and hold accountable those responsible for the unprecedented seemingly endless delays.

I returned some books today 12-30-21 and the facility is temporarily closed for repairs. This was confirmed by one of the staff who I asked when dropping off the books in the return bin.In general, I really like the wide selection of books and CDs here. Its clean and close to local businesses like the West Covina Mall and Portos West Covina. And staff is knowledgable and helpful.

The books are great, but movies are a little outdated, so if you wanted to see a new movie that would be difficult to find the movies are organized by alphabetical order so if your not looking for a specific movie it would be difficult to find as well. The service is okay, but it takes a while and one employees was racial to me. Go in the morning and on a Saturday or Friday to find good books. I go to it since it does its job proving entertainment and books but other than that it is not the best. It looks great, but its not the best.

Nice library, friendly staff.Edit: Theyve been renovating this library since the beginning of the pandemic. Its been 3 years and theyre still not open to the public. Every other library in thesurrounding cities are open to the public.Is this library going to reopen?

Based off of my first time going here i give it 2 stars because there are some homeless people in and around the library that disturbs the public. Its not too bad. Also, the staff seems unfriendly or suspicious of everyone, especially if the person isnt a regular customer. I went in and out of the library two times to answer an important call in regards to work. I did not want to answer my call in the library because it would disturb the other customers. One of the staff was looking at me suspiciously. I just ignored her and took a seat because I knew I wasnt doing anything wrong. I noticed that Ive got a lot of stares, i dont know why. Im just a regular customer like everyone else.

This library is Awesome! The new play area for the children is a great way to encourage library usage. They even accommodate toddler play with a separate area for younger kids. The librarians there, are very friendly and helpful.

I love this library. The staff is super friendly. They got great books and the organization is amazing. My kids love it too. The kids play area is closed because of covid but it works because now they want to actually read lol.

Open for business -- but not for entry. Go online, select your book, put it on hold for pickup at the West Covina Library. When the book is in, youll get an email. Go to the library. Phone them from your parking spot. Drive over to the red curb by the library entrance. Put your mask on, and walk toward the entrance. Someone will be out shortly, with your book in a brown bag. This picking up process takes far less time than it takes to type up this explanation! (To return books, take them to the Book Return/Drop, to the left of the entrance.)

They need to do some updates to this library. Its stuck in the 90s. Barely any outlets. LA County library WiFi network has unnecessary login restrictions. At least it had clean bathrooms. Came here to charge my laptop and do work. Could do neither.

The West Covina Library had all the books I needed as a child. I still have my library card, and it was one of my favorite places to go when I was young. It taught me how to be responsible with my books haha.

This library doesnt feel like one. Its too noisy. The play area near the kids book section is a huge distraction. Some parents just drop off kids there and leave them unattended!! Not taking my grand kids there anymoe

The air on the second floor very very bad. Not good for healthy.Every time,stay in this library for one hour, not feel good for my children and me.Will not go again if the air not become better.

The place is located in a beautiful area, right next to #10. And there are volunteers helping with tax prep on Saturdays during tax seasons. No appointment needed.

I really like the area for the children, it is on the second floor so they dont distract those who are going to study or read since you cant hear the noise on the first floor. I dont know why they say they cant study, in fact the 2nd floor is for the children and the first is for studying. And as for the homeless, I have never seen them but it wouldnt bother me if they were there, they are also people.
