Wen was recommended by two of my best friends. She helped both of them with home purchases, and my friends spoke very highly of her. Last March, when we were ready to buy, we finally reached out.We worked with Wen over the course of nearly a year. She’s experienced, professional, and responsive. We’ve probably looked at 100 homes. What we appreciate the most is that she never pushed us in any ways. In fact, she advised not to consider many homes due to various reasons (noise, nearby schools, poor investment values, etc.). She knows renovations inside and out and has some great contacts for GCs or other professionals. I came to know Wen through a social media platform where Wen gives tutorials to first-time buyers. From the videos she posted and the replies she got, I realized that this would be an experienced, knowledgeable, passionate and responsible agent who never fails her clients. I then asked to be our agent.Wen paid great attention to our requirements and concerns and could always give us the best solution. Before each visit, Wen always sent us a detailed email, pointing out each houses pros and cons and potential problems. During the visit, she showed us every corner of the house and told us if it had major defects or could be improved through remodeling.We are also deeply impressed by Wens excellent negotiation skills. In each visit, she explained to us if the listing price could be negotiated and gave us a possible price range. In addition, she was active in dealing with the listing agent on our behalf. We werent very sure about the location where we want to buy the house based on our budget, and she was really helpful giving advises and going to opens houses with us whenever there are some houses suitable. When we bid, unlike some agents who just encourage their clients to bid blindly, she was diligently contacting the listing agent and negotiating very hardly about the price and finally landed the deal for our dream house. Wen helped us purchased a home in south bay. She is very patient, professional, and easy to talk to, she always respond our message immediately. We used to live in SF when we were house hunting, she accommodated our schedule for showing and she would went to the house first and took video for us before us going, which saved us lots of time. Wen did a really good job as our buyer agent. She was very professional in all aspects, from explaining the process, making analysis of the market, helping us figuring out what we want, to negotiation during the offer process. She even helped us during our remodel process after we closed! Tl;dr: I rarely give good reviews; but after firing 4 realtors, Wen helped win our dream house in under a week.We started our property search with high expectations and a low budget. However, we went through 4 top realtors, 3 brokerages, and 13 offers (signed so many disclosures that I sprained my wrist) with no luck. We were about to give up when we found Wen on RED (a new social startup).At first, we were skeptical of the reviews. She had not a single bad review, and we were careful after 4 bad experiences.Within 6 days of first contact with Wen, our offer was accepted, and we now have a classy home in Cupertinos prestigious Monta Vista neighborhood. Our offer was fairly low, but we still vanquished a total of 27 different buyers, with 15 of them offering cash.When we picked up the keys, the seller remarked I was hoping you guys would get it - your realtors a feisty one. As a first time homebuyer, Ive talked to a lot of realtors and friends who have recently purchased to understand their experiences with the agents. Most of the realtors I talked to fall into these two categories: 1. They tell you your budget is too low for what you want to buy and subtly suggest very early on you should increase your budget or lower your expectations 2. They are too un-opinionated and agree with everything you say without giving any interesting or challenging opinions. Wen is the first and the only agent I talked to who doesnt fall into these two categories. She is also the only agent I talked to who is never hesitant to tell you both the pros and cons of the house, which I find extremely rare, as a lot of agents tend to only talk about the good things and avoid talking about cons. She has all the basic qualities a good agent has, being patient, punctual, and responsive, but what makes her stand out is that she never pushes you to make an offer or to join a bidding war irrationally, and her willingness to provide very honest opinions.
