We Care installed new A/C and furnace for us last year. The job was done on a timely manner and very professional. Their team of technicians were knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed the heating part of the system throughout the winter but had a little difficulty with the cooling side when the weather got hot. We called the guys back. They were very responsive, showed up on time, fixed the problem, and tuned up the system. We are happy with our purchase and the service we got from We Care.

Horrible service. I was promised a 1day installation when i purchase the new air conditioning and heating from them and it took them 7 days to complete the job. After multiple calls to them without any result. The 5th day I called our sales rep. Mr. Peter Child. He has the nerve to tell me that the parts are on back order. I was furious when I heard him say that. So I told him that I will give him 2 more days to complete the job that he promised to finish in one day or else I will file a complaint straight to Costco and I will personally call his corporate office about the issue and thats when they finally completed the job.Typical sales rep that after getting your business they didnt even bother to follow thru if the work has been completed. Its not a joke the amount of money we paid.I only went to them because of Costco.I dont recommend their service at all.

Promptly came out to our home to service our non-cooling A/C when the temps were in the 90s. Michael was very courteous and respectful of our home (wearing indoor shoe booties), and gave us a clear description of our options. The A/C is working great now.

I am very happy with We Care! Their tech Jacob Cochran who I’ve requested to come out each time to take care of the maintenance on our heating and cooling system every year since we purchased it back in 2020, always does a fine professional job. He is friendly and is a very respectful young man. On his inspection of our system this time he found a problem, we discussed it and I had him take care of it, so our system is now running properly again. Thank you again Jacob!

I recommend WeCare for plumbing work. They sent me a mailer with a coupon for $44 drain clearing and I used it hoping to fix an on-and-off odor in my master bath sinks. They scheduled me for the next day. Cameron did the clearing and was excellent: very thorough and good at explaining what he was doing. The clearing seems to have worked, Ive not noticed the odor since.

I purchased the installation service of a whole-house AC system in my furnace, through Costco in October 2023.We Care Heating and Air Inc. was assigned to handle the installation. As the homeowner currently residing in Asia and renting out the property, I expected the job to be completed promptly. After resolving an HOA approval issue in December 2023, I anticipated the completion of the installation in January 2024. However, it is now May 2024, and the installation remains incomplete, particularly the drywall finishing.Throughout this period, my attempts to communicate with the installer for updates have been met with significant delays, often taking days to weeks for a response. Their replies were consistently vague, stating they were either working on it or trying to contact the tenant. Despite their claims that the tenant was difficult to reach, I found the tenant to be responsive and able to schedule appointments promptly whenever I intervened.The lack of proactive communication from the installer has been particularly frustrating. They failed to inform me when they were unable to reach the tenant, despite my readiness to assist. Instead, I had to exert considerable effort to obtain any updates on the projects status. Although the installer claims that the AC installation is complete, the drywall remains unfinished, leaving the job incomplete.I invested over $14,000 for a comprehensive service, and after six months, it is unacceptable that the work is still not finished. This experience is far from the standard of service I expect from Costco.

The technician Juan arrived on time and went right to work. He asked questions to troubleshoot my problem, and made a call to get approval to upgrade my thermostat. While up in the attic, he looked around to ensure that there wouldnt be any more problems, and finished the installation of the thermostat. Juan also gave me step by step instructions on the proper use of the thermostat.Juan is a very professional and knowledgeable technician.Upon completion of the job, I felt comfortable that my problem was resolved and wouldnt come back.

Jesus Lopez, was great! He has great customer service and answered all of my questions. He showed me pictures of everything he did.He explained every detail. Other technicians should be as detail, and easy to work with like Jesus. We’ve had other technicians come and literally leave after like 5-10 minutes. Other technicians don’t even go over everything that was done. They’ll just say signatures please, and say you will receive an email. Thank you so much Jesus. Might sound obvious, but the name says it all We Care. If you read not further from the point on just know that you will receive A+ service and highly recommended.We are dental office located in Temecula and our AC went out about a week ago right after my previous HVAC service was completed by a different company. We called for a return service and the response was it would be $150 if its not their fault and the soonest anyone could come out was one week later. The receptionist had zero concern for the fact we spent that past 4 days in 90+ degree heat with no air circulation. We understand people are busy, but the lack of customer service was shocking. They finally got someone out on the job to take a look and the service tech couldnt diagnose the problem and stated he was too heavy to go on the roof and didnt want to risk damaging our roof tiles to look at the AC units. Ok fair enough, but what isnt so fair is when I asked how long it would be to get someone out here to diagnose it correctly. The response, I dont know thats not my job and I dont make those decisions. Hmmm. So I called We Care today and a service tech arrived within a couple of hours. Im sitting here now with AC running. And it feels amazing. I still havent heard a peep from the other company. You know why my AC is running? Well its because We Care made it happen like professionals and of course, they CARE. Thanks for caring team. I am so grateful for your service. As a business owner myself I know how challenging it can be to run a successful business. We Care has been taking care of all my A/C and plumbing needs in the greater San Diego area for over 10 years. They are always professional, thorough, dependable, and find the best and cost effective way to meet my needs. This last project was a new half bath and specialty sink in my rental property. They did an exception job. This is more worthy because it required more extensive knowledge and expertise than the typical bathroom. The lower level is below the sewer line and requires a sump pump. The install is in a space another 2 ft below the level on the sump pump. The designed and installed a system that feeds into that system. It wasnt cheap but affordable and efficient. The tenants and I could not be happier with the instill. I ❤️ We Care! I only wish they would open a business in the Greater Sacramento area. They definitely would get my business! I recommend We Care without reservation!

My wife and I called We Care for help with our HVACs. We had two systems which were both 20 years old, and we knew they needed attention. Michael Tostado came out to inspect and service our units. He was very thorough, and documented multiple problems and safety issues with our systems. His supervisor, another Michael, came out to verify his findings. They both sat down with us to review the issues, and find the right solution for us. It quickly became apparent that repairing the units was going to be a bandaid at best. We therefore opted for two new systems. They showed us all options. We selected two complete Goodman systems. Both came with a 10 year parts and labor warranty. The systems were installed by Oscar and his crew. They covered our floors and stairs, and took care not to damage anything. Once done they cleaned up, and you would hardly know they had been here. We were very pleased with our experience from start to finish, and looking forward to working with We Care for many years to come to keep them working well.

We hired your company to reinstall two faucets and address a leaky angle stop for our hot water supply. We paid $260 and only had one faucet installed after two hours of work. Your plumber was very nice and tried to be helpful, but did not have any supplies to replace or repair the leaky angle stop and did not have a 7/16 female compression to 3/8 push to connect coupler to finish installing our filtered drinking water tap. He waa also nice enough to tell me what supplies I would need to comolete the job myself. However, if your plumber carried extra compression nuts, he would have been able to install my old faucet and save me from purchasing a new one at $120. He broke the plastic fitting for our $1,000 faucet and knocked $100 off the price which would have been $360 to fully install one faucet. The plumber told us he would return to finish the job the following day but never returned. When we reached out to him directly via phone, he responded that he doesnt control his job schedule and that we should call your dispatcher. The next morning we woke up to a bucket overflowing with water because the angle stop and the unfinished filtered water faucet connection leaked through the night. My family had to turn the water supply to the house on and off throughout the day to use water or flush toilets. Were out $260 for your plumber to literally screw on four nuts - two to fasten the two faucets to the counter, one for the hot water supply, and one for the cold water supply. After I returned from my work trip I was able to purchase the supplies I needed to replace the angle stop and complete the filtered water faucet connection.

We hired “We Care plumbing, heating and air” to install a whole unit of electrical HVAC system in June 2023. They sent “Oak Island heating and air” as contractor that works for them. They installed the system poorly which worked less than 24 hours and it shot down. After a lot of back and forth and wasting a lot of time, finally end of the summer and after two more complete installation, we got the system running. In addition, they disconnected our backyard power source and used that line for HVAC system instead of running a new power for their purpose. Since then, we kept calling them to fix the outlet power. Finally, they showed up couple of times with different technicians and diagnosed the problem and they said they need to get the parts and each time they left and did not come back. We have been calling them every couple day and they promise that someone is going to call us back and solve the problem, but no one has called us back. “We care plumbing” and “Oak Island heating” both have very poor management and customer service after we signed the contract. There is zero communication between these two companies. They have put us in the middle, and nobody gets the responsibility of their job.

After evaluating 4 different companies, we decided on Costcos We Care Plumbing, Heating and Air not because it was the cheapest (it wasnt) but because of the professionalism (no high pressure sales) and his finding & offering to fix problems he saw with our exhaust pipes. He also tried to lower the price to come close to matching the lowest bid. In the end we felt that it was better even to pay more for this company.

I had to wait a whole day for your technician to arrive( 8Hrs.) When I got a photo of which technician that will be arriving in the process, I got a another photo of someone else who is coming. When I talked to your technician about the job that needed to be done, he could not promise the job will be done correctly all he did was guaranty the price of 2000.00 dollars an hour and a huge mess will be left with me. I was pleasantly surprised. Generally, I avoid large companies, but I found them to be receptive, conscientious, attentive, and flexible in their recommendations for how to solve my problems. As a senior citizen, I have grown accustomed to not being listened to but found the two young men who came to work on my problems to be knowledgeable, courteous, and conscientious of the limitations of a retired persons budget.

Our water heater died so we called We Care because of the TV ads. They got someone out within an hour. Zackery was super. Explained what we would need and prices then called for someone to come out and replace it. They arrived within an hour. Ryan and his partner were very professional and did a super job. Overall the young man who came over was thorough. But when I went to Costco it was said that this is a maintenance for $59 per FAU. Really though it’s a review of your units more than a maintenance. Then after you get the cost to fix everything. My units are on 7 years old and I got an invoice of 10k to fix everything. It feels like a hustle to me and I think you should be more honest about what you’re really doing. 3 stars for giving me a breakdown on what you believe is needed. But I already poke to a 5 star HVAC specialist and hes going to take care of everything for 1/80th the cost. Last time i talk to a person walking out of costco!!

Our garbage disposal suddenly quit after more than 10 years. We called We Care Plumbing Heating and Air to schedule a repair or replacement. They were able to send a plumber the next day, who quickly determined that the unit needed to be replaced. Since we have a maintenance membership with them, we were quoted a lower price and a choice of a unit with either a 1/4 or 1/2 HP motor. We chose the latter, viewing it as an investment. We have remained steady We Care customers for more than 10 years, as they always perform quality work and offer competitive pricing.

March 2023: We had two heat pumps, as well as two thermostats and two furnaces installed through the Costco program. Everyone did an amazing job from Shania in the office to Nico, Ricky, Tommy, and Ted on the installation. Also very impressed with Chris Young who I saw initially for the quote. Very expensive... 50% higher than other quotes I received (3200 vs 1995) for similar sized water heaters. I called on a coupon for a flush of my water heater. Rep refused to do the job and told me I needed a new water heater. He still asked me to pay the $50 though and did not even apply it towards the replacement quote. He did not give me options for replacement like a smaller tank or a tankless or any other new technology tanks with State rebates. Overall meh 😕. Very salesy not like he really cared expect for his commission. When I asked him why he was so expensive he said they had to made money.

Mr. Nathan Martin was a very friendly and professional technician that not only completed the heating system check in a timely and efficient manner but he was very informative of all the steps he was completing in getting his work assignment completed. My 5-yr. old furnace was blowing cold air and doing so every few minutes. I had one HVAC company come out, and was initially told that the duct work was not adequate. Then was told I had to maintain the thermostats at a certain temperature, rather than turning either off. I did so, but later that same day, had cold air coming out again. Called We Care and was given an appointment the very next day. Technician came out and determined within a half hour that the problem was a faulty flame sensor on the furnace. Not an inexpensive fix, but everything seems to now be running perfectly.

5 years ago, Oak Island installed our new furnace/AC unit through costco and did a very nice job. Our thermostat suddenly was malfunctioning last week, even though we thought the unit hadnt been turned on for months. I called and they sent Arty over today. He was very professional (as was Jennifer who set up the service call on the phone last week). He took care of the thermostat issue by removing the schedules (we now think the cleaning crew had set them up trying to get the AC going while we werent home during cleaning) and taught us how to use it best. He then did the maintenance on the HVAC per costcos advertised price of $59. We were very happy. He charged us the service fee of $79 which was our agreed service call fee (basically included the maintenance). He was here for about an hour and gave us some useful tips. We plan to use Oak Island again!

Worst customer service experience. I was not able to be present for the service. I directly asked the service man to call me if there was anything he needed to do that would require any sort of charge and to please call and let me know his findings. I didn’t receive any call from and AC still isn’t working. I received a call about an “outstanding invoice” one day after service. Called back and told them I was a little confused because my understanding is it’s under warranty. I completely forgot it’s just a parts warranty which is 100% my bad and an honest mistake. Instead of kindly reminding me it’s just a parts warranty and I’m being charged for his assessment she was incredibly rude and went back to phone recordings and called back to say “I checked the phone recordings because we record everything and it was a parts warranty and we told you that.” Okay that’s fine I just forgot it was two weeks ago when we had that conversation and a simple mistake all you had to do is remind me it was a parts warranty only and that was just an assessment. You didn’t need to throw the book at me and dig up phone recordings?? I told her there was no need for all that or the attitude I was getting and all she needed to tell me was it was a simple assessment fee and not covered due to it being a parts warranty.Now for complaint number two THEY DIDNT EVEN FIX IT. I got no call or anything about the results of his “assessment” that I’m being charged for and came home to my home still hot and AC not running properly. I told her I don’t see why I’m being charged if he didn’t fix the problem or call me with his findings she told me I can pay another assessment charge and have a different tech come out. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing multiple times and expecting the same results. Why on earth would I do that?Customer service agent sucks at her job as someone that trains people on how to do her job, she’s terrible at it. She went immediately on the defensive and was unkind when all I said was I was confused and wanted clarification. It was super simple but she made it a whole thing. Not to mention if a customer pays for an assessment they should at least get results from that assessment and a solution. I got neither. Once I finally did get the results, there’s no solution in site either but I’m welcome to pay another $79 for another waste of time and money assessment. Ridiculous and it truly didn’t need to be all that if the customer service representative has just been a little more understanding and less defensive and if this service man would’ve called with his results before leaving like I had asked him to.

I had a split unit by Lennox installed approx 2 years ago. One unit was iffy from day one receiving messages from the remote until the receiving unit broke completely. A tech (I had to pay) came out to tell me what I already knew - that the receiving unit had to be replaced. He didnt know if it was in stock or if it had to be ordered - but the unit was covered under the warranty - I had to pay for installation. Id already paid for diagnosis. I was charged $355.12 for what will eventually be a 10 minute job. I got no receipt for payment, and no explanation of how the number was calculated. (who charges 12 cents towards labor?) Oak gives no credit for the diagnosis visit charge and seems not to care that I have no A/C in August. I will be looking for another company for future maintenance needs. BYW Costco no longer uses this company.

We have a HVAC maintenance contract with Oak Island. Today’s service was for our air conditioning systems. Their service tech Jeff came out this morning during the time slot we were assigned. As has all other Oak Island staff we have seen over the years, Jeff was very polite, pleasant and efficient in his work. We were extremely pleased with how he conducted himself and with his explanations of work completed and other proposed preventive measures. We have been with Oak Island since 2019 when they installed new units for us due to a house fire. Even thru early Covid, they managed to service us with added protocols for us as well as themselves. We were satisfied and confident then and now. Thank you!

And don’t give any updates on the status of the project.It is my first time looking for a contractor to install HVAC and it’s like a nightmare.I hope more ppl can see this review so you won’t suffer from the negligence and irresponsible services. We are very happy we went with Oak Island to install our new heating and air conditioning system for our 2 story home with separate Google Nest learning thermometers to control the temps on each floor. Everything about the process was professional from the initial consult with the company who took down our information then scheduled a site inspection for the bid and sent multiple reminders via text, email and phone. Austin showed up as promised, did a through inspection of our current heating/ac systems, explained all the product options throughly and then prepared a very through bid on site based on what we wanted. There were no hidden fees in the bid, no urging us to buy something we didn’t need or wouldn’t add value to our home. There was something so refreshing and transparent about this process that we accepted the bid right then and we were scheduled for install a week later. As promised. we received text, email and phone reminders. Osiel and his crew (3 in total) arrived on time, were extremely professional and friendly, respected our home inside and out, came with everything they needed to do the job and protect our flooring, asked me to approve everything as they installed things and finished in the timeframe they had said, leaving everything clean. Osiel made sure everything was working perfectly and spent time to train me on the Nest system, showing me the dual floor system was working perfectly in each room and the air conditioner in the back yard was strapped down, and quiet, as promised. The new heater required the removal of a couple pieces of molding to get it through the attic access and a drywall repair person was scheduled through Oak Island before Osiel left to come out to make the repair at a date of our convenience. I have no doubts the repair will be made with the same level of professionalism. The final HERS inspection process was explained by Osiel and so far everything is scheduled for that as promised and we couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend this company if you live in North County San Diego!

The entire purchasing decision of a new A/C system with Oak Island was very satisfying, all the way from the initial contact over phone, coordination of the visit by the co-founder Cris Young (important: the personal touch), and finally the installation by Sean and his team! Were enjoying the high quality product they installed, backed up by a reputable company (extremely important: check out youre getting true and tested brands, rather than a private label with the name of the company youre buying from on it). You know what you buy (clear performance specs) and you know who you buy it from. I really recommend the Oak Island Team highly!

Arturo Rivera the HVAC tech from Oak Island was on time and was able to diagnose and repair the problem quickly! He had the necessary equipment and parts to fix the problem! He explained the problem and solution and recommended future care to keep the equipment running properly and to extend its life. We now have Air Conditioning back in operation blowing cold air!

I used this company because they contacted me through the Costco program. I assumed wrongly that Costco only sends the best possible suppliers. This was one of the worst experiences we ever encountered with a company. The installer fell through our ceiling and left a huge hole, another installer shocked himself at our electrical box and was laying on the ground in pain,and they left a mess after installation of drywall dust on the floor. Although they did make the ceiling right after several returns by the painting company, I could not recommend using this company. You would think that after all we went through the owner of the company would have phoned us to apologize for all of our troubles. Not a peep. This right here tells you what type of company it is. The office just kept telling us this was not the regular crew. That makes me feel better. I got the team b. Makes me worry that maybe they did a terrible job in the things I can’t see and how will this system hold up over the future. I just got the warranty in the mail yesterday which says we must have maintenance performed yearly in order for the warranty to be valid. Would have been nice, if someone explained to us what is required each year after the install. The amount of extra time, phone calls, and anxiety on my part took what was supposed to be a simple few hours install (no ducting was replaced) into a horrible experienceUpdate to my review.Since my original review, I have been in contact with this company to resolve a pricing misunderstanding. They apologized for the problems we had and told me that this crew had been fired. They worked hard to resolve my billing issues and refunded me costco gift cards. I was happy to see they had integrity in honoring the price that was quoted to us. For this I’ll give them one more star. Based on other reviews, it appears that I was the unlucky customer with a fluke string of bad misfortunes. Don’t know, you’ll have to decide.

Our AC started acting up Sunday night and we reached out on Tuesday because it was no longer working. Come to find out it was a clogged condensate line.Schuyler came out and talked through the issues we were having and diagnosed the problem quickly and effectively. He was able to get the items needed, cleaned out the drain and we are back to having AC. The pups (and the humans) thank you very much Schuyler!!

My purchase: $14,000 for a new furnace and new air conditioner + upgraded thermostat and ducting.Chances are, if youre looking at Oak Island, you may have been directed to them via their partnership with Costco. Costco is generally a good bet; however, my experience did not meet expectations and Oak Islands responsiveness to the situation was underwhelming, to say the least. As a result, I cannot recommend Oak Island due my experience detailed below:First, I was directed to Oak Island by an in-store Costco representative with the understanding I could get a 10% rebate on a Lennox installation, which comes in the form of a Costco shop card. Upon arrival to my home, the OI sales representative was friendly, seemed knowledgeable, and was incredibly responsive during the sales phase of my experience. He also suggested that I consider a different system than the one offered by Costco for a variety of reasons not the least of which was that the alternative product was less expensive than the Costco deal, even after the rebate. I had some reservations about not purchasing the Costco deal because of the off brand and inherent customer protections that come with buying via Costco, but chose the proposed alternative regardless. And to Oak Islands credit (literally), they offered favorable financing and the deal was done practically on a handshake. At this point, I thought I was in good hands.Since that point, the experience has been just plain poor. It started when I was asked to squeeze an installation into a busy and predicted-to-be rainy day. I was assured the weather wouldnt be a problem and that it would be done on time. Both promises proved to be wrong and I ended up needing to leave my home unattended with the OI installers still working. Before leaving, I gave each of the three installers a $50 tip and hoped for the best.EXACTLY SIX WEEKS AND FOUR MORE INSTALLATION APPOINTMENTS LATER, THE JOB WAS FINALLY COMPLETED. Granted, I had (unfiltered) heat after the first day but I needed to adjust my schedule four more time to accommodate installers and leave my home unattended one more time because they couldnt stay on schedule.When I brought my dissatisfaction to Oak Islands attention, I was offered three years of free servicing. While Im sure that offer has a value to OI, I didnt want service from a company that had not demonstrated an ability to deliver it. So, I asked for a discounted price and that was the last time I heard from Oak Island.As a result, Im leaving a pubic warning to others about my Oak Island experience. Perhaps my experience was an outlier, but I recommend thinking twice about using Oak Island, especially if you fall for the bait and switch on the Costco deal because youll lose the protection I could have used.Pros: While sometimes inefficient, the installers at Oak Island were all professional and trustworthy enough to leave in my home when they couldnt stay on schedule. I would also like recognize the friendly scheduling staff who expressed sympathy for my situation, but were ultimately unsuccessful in conveying my dissatisfaction or request for a discount to the ownership group.Cons: In my opinion, Oak Island has become complacent with its Costco contract. As long as Costco keeps sending customers its way, OI is free to leverage the Costco connection into a different product, and then OI doesn’t need to worry about when it gets it wrong. Once they’ve been paid by the financing company, the family-owned-local-company-doing-it-right-for-decades shtick evaporates immediately, sullying both the Costco and Lennox brands along the way.Ultimately, I hope Costco and Lennox find a more reliable partner in the future. And I hope you will consider my bad experience when choosing an HVAC company.

They installed new heater system as an upgrade to what I had previous and installed a new AC system which I did not have prior. Service techs who installed systems were knowledgeable and courteous and did wonderful work. Follow up services techs came in later to fine tune install with increasing size of air vents to heater/air were also knowledgeable and courteous. Services techs are going to come out this week to possible put in a damper to push some of the heat going upstairs back downstairs. I have not used the systems much yet except for this week but I am very happy with system so far and the amazing customer service via Oak Island.

He recommended what units are needed for my house and explained its purpose including the the whole process. He will not sell you for anything you dont need unlike some other companies out there when they came out to the house for an estimate it seemed they just want my business.His technicians, Osiel, Roberto, CJ and Trace are great A Team! The whole process was handled with professionalism and care from start to finish. They were on time, so courteous and have a positive attitude. They love what they do and care for their the company. Trace and Alonzo, the dynamic duo! What a friendly and professional pair. They arrived and began installing my new AC outside before I arrived home. They took care in protecting the interior of my home as they continued the installation. They were informative, providing information to me along the way. They were efficient and for me it was clear that they worked very well together as a TEAM.
