Worst service ever! I was advised it would take 2 hours. After waiting 2 and a half hours my car was still parked. I asked how much longer it would take and the dumb long hair moron couldnt answer my question. All he said is after they take out two of the 2 cars inside Id be next. They took out a car and then mine wasnt next. I just asked for my keys back and taking my business to Vavoline. My time is more valuable then saving $50. I advised them to give their customers a more realistic time frame of how long theyll be waiting. After waiting 2 hours my car should have been taken in for service

Very clean nice organized. It has a pharmacy & self checkout. Its basically a grocery store.🍎🍉🥖🍗🥩🥚🧂🍬🍦🍼🍺🧃 They dont sell clothes furniture or electronic stuff. Best time to go is after 9 p.m. be completely empty. For those dont like the crowd thats the time to go.😉✌ Plenty of parking but the lighting is poor. Also if youre buying any type of alcohol you have to take it to the cashiers. Regardless of your age. No self checkout on alcohol.

Dont answer the phone when you call. Numerous occasions of missing items for food delivery even almost half your order. Also, give you expired food items as well. Used to be good, going down the drain!

I waited more than ten minutes to get an employee to open the case where they keep the gold bars...I mean the razors. The parking lot is small, theres trash on the floor, and theres shopping carts in parking spaces.Good selection if you come early, prices are going up, their produce is not that good, sometimes its old and the options are limitedCustomer service was not good, they were not friendly.

They have a general selection of items. There have been times where they simply dont stock specific ingredients (star anise, coconut jelly, etc.) which was partially why I marked this location down a star. The other reason being that items are often out of stock.

I enjoyed my shopping experience there yesterday to pick up cleaning products. I am very familiar with the layout of the store, so my time spent in store was short, and I used the self checkout. Found everything I was looking for in stock.

How long have they been under construction? I ask because they are out of stock on a lot of products and there are always merchandise on pallets in the isles. My wife went there and had a payment issue with the self checkout. She went to an associate and asked for help, the associate did not know what to do so she went to the manager. The manager didnt know what to do and walked away. My wife stood there looking at him wondering if he was going to return and give her any information about her change from her purchase. After several minutes, he had someone come over and give her change. It seemed though my wife had to keep an eye on him for him to get things in motion. At any time of the day if you call customer service no one answers, at least that has been my experience. When asking about any of the services such as check cashing or any of the other services they provide, the associates seem to not want to provide those services as though those services were a major chore. The store is great for just small items to get in and get out if you do not want to go to a larger market, and thats why we go there just to get in and get out for smaller items we need.

I like that this Walmart grocery store because its close to my house and they usually have what I need. The only problem I have is that 50%of the time there is shopping carts in the parking spots and trash everywhere... like come on now we are not in Compton or south central LA... and some merchandise being locked up. But overall this is a good little grocery store to shop in.

My wallet was stolen while shopping in the produce department. I asked to look at the cameras and the manager said the produce department doesnt have any. She didnt make any attempt to do anything and took her sweet time responding to the situation. I had to tell 2 different employees that my wallet was stolen and only the second one seemed genuinely concerned. Looking back, Im starting to think they have a scam operation going on at this location. I will never shop here again.

This store has gone steadily downhill since opening. I was very pleased with the store and the customer service in the beginning, but my opinion has drastically changed. There are never carts available, and when I inquired with one of the staff as to where all the carts were, he shrugged and said “they’re out on the lot somewhere “. They never have more than one checker open, and their customer service desk is always empty. Last time I went in, there were bakery items out past the “use by” date. There always seems to be plenty of employees standing around talking, so it seems as though one of them could round up some shopping carts for customers. I won’t be going back to this store, and I definitely will let my friends know of my terrible experiences there. Whoever owns this store really needs to take a good look at how it is being managed!

I been coming to this Walmart for years, and hardly had any bad experiences with the employees here until today when I came in the evening I was in the fruit section, and an employee by the name of Ale was really rude I was across from her not too far from her, and had to ask her twice for candy apples, she ignored me so I walked away but not all of the employees are rude like her this is the closest Walmart to my house shes not going to be the reason im not coming back I will always shop here just cause one employee is bad with customers it does not mean all of the other employees are bad there is always other helpful employees ..

My first time going to this location because it was on my way on my drive home on a Tuesday night. The produce, deli and meats sections were very low in stock (Im not sure on the rest of the isles). However I was able to get what I needed (tomatoes, black forrest ham, salami and milk.The parking lot could use a bit more lighting though.

The customer service department at this Walmart is a anything but customer service. Be careful when you try and cash a winning lottery ticket here. I got conned, I won 200 dollars but when this guy at the customer service went through the process of checking to verify if I was a winner, he claimed my ticket was for only 100 dollars. I had just checked on their lottery machine in store and when I scanned my ticket it clearly indicated 200 dollars. It also indicated see customer service clerk. I would have gladly helped out this guy if needed extra money. Be very careful here.

Since self checkout this store has never had enough cashiers on duty for beer and wine purchases. I am not your ordinary run of the mill customer, I am very computer savvy and I know the one cashier can override the beer and wine program with the proper auth code.

They charged 3 items that my mom didnt buy. Only after a long and thoroughly investigation by me and my mother did we receive the refunds back. However it seemed to them like my mom was lying and that she has the items. Incredible how an elderly lady would do that. Watch out folks, maybe the cashiers might be started to overcharge or charging ghost items since sales are down or something. Oh well. Pay attention to ur receipt when paying.

Inside the store everything is neat and organized. That’s a good thing for you as a customer. You want to find something where it says is located. Outside in the parking lot is the opposite. There’s trash on the ground. There’s no a spot to return carts . At least not in the parking lot. There a space for it outside closed to the entrance.

This is my GO-TO market. I come here almost every week. I have lived in Downey all my life. Until recently I moved to Pico Rivera. But I still make the drive to Downey for our weekly groceries. I would have rated the market a 5*, but recently they have re-arranged the food in the store. I am so used to knowing the layout of the store by memory so I would write my grocery list in the order that I would do my shopping... I was Soo unhappy when I went in to the market and every thing was totally turned around. Not happy. Took 3-4 times as long to do my shopping. Very frustrating. But that is my ONLY complaint. The workers are as sweet and nice as can be. Very helpful. Polite, considerate. Clean and the store is taking all safety precautions seriously. Love this store❤️😀

Convenient for quick items you may have forgotten when shopping for weekly groceries or just a quick snack. Sometimes if go too late on the weekends they are all sold out of things. Im not sure what day is stocking day because Ive seen them doing it different days. Also everyone is always so helpful and kind.

This is a nice food location for the chain. Since they built the SuperWalmart over at the Promenade its not as busy/crowded as it used to be. They are currently remodeling the entire inside, but still open for business during construction. I walked in the other night and there were workers everywhere removing all the items from the shelves and there were hardly any groceries to even buy. I looked at my daughter and wondered if they were closed and we just happened to stroll in with the workers. I had to ask just to be sure, which gave them quite the chuckle. Lol But no, they are open. Looks like its going to be a nice upgrade!

Went there today and had to wait for 10 minutes while the girl at the customer service desk talked to someone that she obviously knew about him getting fired from a job for beating somebody up. When I put my slip up on the counter hoping she could help me while she still just talk to this guy she turned around and with the most attitude she could muster said “sir I’m currently assisting another customer.” Talking to a friend isn’t assisting another customer. If I was in charge of that team I would’ve fired her immediately for her lack of respect towards a customer and any common sense on how to do her job.

No check out lines are ever open. All employees are busy talking to each other. Ones that are supposed to be stocking shelves are on their phones. They keep offering bags but then call you a their after you didnt pay for them. They have old dairy on the shelves 4 months old and there are never hand baskets by both doors.

Timing is everything with this place. Parking lot fills up pretty quickly and a lot of people use it for a pick up location and parking to pick up kids at the school next it (St. Raymond’s). They have limited hot items (rotisserie and fried chicken). They do carry alcohol. The have a money order area that also sells tobacco, cashes checks, item return or exchange etc. Not so great on re-stocking items when running low or re-ordering items when running low. Women’s bathroom not well kept up. Most employees are very nice and friendly. Can get very crowded.

Attn: To anyone who has bought formula recently. Please check your formulas. In the beginning of the month I bought my baby formula and found out that it was expired 2 months ago. So i went back to return it yesterday (11/11) and i had them check the others to see if i can exchange it. Come to find out that all 6 cans in the cabinet were all expired. Ill definitely be buying formula from another retailer.

My advice? DONT SHOP HERE!Walmart used to be the low price leader - past tense. The customer service is deplorable to say the least. They dont have cashiers to ring you out at night and the front end employees just stand around visiting with one another. I requested someone to ring me up because I need a broken 20 cash back and one of the guys told me to check myself out first then to go to him to give me change. He obviously didnt want to do the job hes getting pid to do. They are always out of anything you come looking for. I say you go shop somewhere else instead.

Went to use money center and they wouldnt let me pick it up because of some rule they had never before enforced. When I ask to speak to manager the manager proceeded to tell me Ive been using system wrong for years.when I told them that I had picked up money there at that very store before and never had to include my middle name they told me that I was lyingare then pulled it up on the mobile app showing that I had been there and the very lady that was standing there had helped me and they refused to look at it and still told me no Walmart would allow me to pick up money sent to me without the sender including my middle name. I was being very reasonable but after they called me a liar I was losing patience they then asked me to leave and Itried to continue speaking with him to try to fix the problem until they called the security guard over and told me that no Walmart in the world would allow me to pick up the money without my middle name on it. So then I left and went to another Walmart and picked up the money with no problemswhen I called MoneyGram to tell them about the problems I had with the Walmart they told me that that Walmart had recently lost their ability to use their services because they were not doing it correctly and had just recently regained the option to use the system and that they did not know what they were talking about. I wouldnt have cared if they would have tried to help me in any way but all they did was telling me I was wrong and call me a liar. This store is terriblethe store manager is terrible and Diane who claimed she had never helped me before even though I knew her name without even looking need to learn how to deal with customers better and obviously need to learn how to use their own system

Also unlike every other walmart youve ever been, this one has a ton of staff on the floor so its easy to find help when you need it. Ive lived in downey all my life.. I have been going to the neighborhood walmart .. back when walmart use to be alen party supply.. WAAAY back when.. I moved to a nearby city a couple years ago and most generally we still take the drive to downey to go to the neighborhood walmart to get our shopping done.. love the store. Know the layout like the back of my hand... Doesnt help when they decide to switch things around on you😖 . Lol

For myself its not for me because its missing many veg and fruits like red potatoes in a bad cut saleds in a bag and what they do have is more expensive than some of there other stores.There quality of dog food is very limited.There milk is $3.34 and other stores its $ 2.45 twin eggs $3.85 any were from $1.75 to $ 2 .85Chili beans with out beans $ 1.98And in others $0.98.But I can understand if you live around the corner it ok.Plus just be careful because people can come in arguing before there even in the store.

Not much to say its just like your typical neighborhood market but with lower prices. The only complaint I have with this particular store is their driveway being far too narrow and not well designed. Hard for two cars to simultaneously get in and out through the driveway. This is true for both of their Paramount driveways.

This was my first visit to a Walmart Neighborhood Grocery Store. I went there because my dad took me there. This is where he shops apps for some of his food. I found their selection of produce and pricing to be good. Im not much of a grocery Shopper is my husband does the bulk of our grocery shopping. But what I do know is that one item I buy at the 99 cent store is $4.99 its at the 99 cent store and at the Walmart Neighborhood Grocery Store that same item was $5.84. so they are a little bit higher... On that particular item but I really have nothing else to compare their pricing to. I dont think their selection in regards to Sundries is as large as the Walmart Supercenters or Walgreens.. but as this was my first visit to Walmart Neighborhood Grocery Store I give it a four star because Im not sure their pricing is the best..

I work here at this walmart, this havent been a great place to work, only thing i can say that from diffrent places i have worked this is one of the worst,sorry to say that but just by the way assistant managers treat you, is just terrible, but if i would to get out fron this company it wouldnt be becuase of the company it would be because of the assistant managers! sometimes i think that they didnt get enough training to become an asistant...... im still working in this store but the days i haveto work i fell not even coming because of the way they treat the workers,,,,, always managers are going to think that thanks to assistant the job gets done, im sorry to tell you yur rong becuase if it wouldnt be for the team the job wouldntbe done by 7am !!. please give enough training to the asistants in the way of how to talk to their teamm--- ps : my last day at the store is the 04/01/16 the sad part is that the company is lossing a great worker becuase of the atittude of the assistants.......

This store pretty much stays stocked with items I can use and need. However over the last month I have not seen the santi wipes filled to wipe off carts. The management says they are on order. When asked why not grab a container from the cleaning item aisle until a shipment comes in, the manager rolled his eyes, sent the little clerk back and said we dont do that.
