When I moved to Camarillo, I’m so happy that vons only a few blocks from my house, but then a few times I encountered a very rude cashier, I think to myself i will do the self checkout, but sometimes I can’t because I was buying Alcohol, and today again, the lady cashier just rude to me with no reason! I don’t understand why some people so angry!

Love Vons. Find very good stuff I particularly like : French brioche, French Brie, and this Coffee « La Colombe « I always take at the beach and The Litehouse Ranch dressing ! The workers are really nice specially the cashiers always helping ! Fresh flowers, magazines and a Starbucks. Et voilà !I update my review today 07/31/21, cause I tried the delivery service yesterday and everything was perfect ! From the app to the delivery person!

This particular vons is always out of the Horizon milk, only thing they always have enough of is the Lucerne brand, mostly thats all they have, Secondly never any fresh baked bread or Mr goodpop ice cream, just a favorite of mine and thirdly, aisles are very cramped and not enough room especially in the egg and yogurt section..Fourth the meat dept is very limited on marinated meat etc. and this store just feels dingy and depressing, this store is old you can tell especially if and when the computers freeze on you when your at the cash register, multiple times its happened to me...just numerous things wrong with this store and lack of inventory makes me want to drive the extra 2 miles to go to the vons on Arneill. Maybe an overhaul, or just moving things around abit, some fresh baked bread and having milk other than Lucerne could make a big difference...

2024 March 28 -- we recently moved to Camarillo, and this is the closest Vons location. Today is my 5th visit, and I usually visit around this time. None of my experiences at this location have been positive.Today, the shelves are not properly stocked, yet the aisles are filled w boxes of inventory. This mess also made it difficult to move through the aisles.I asked for assistance locating items, probably 3-4 times from different Vons employees. Not one was able to assist me, and one actually said if you dont see it there we dont have it.At the end of my shop, I attempted to get a drink at the Starbucks. An Indian/ Pakistani woman was working that location. As I approached to place my order, she looked at me angrily and walked away. I said to her Id like to place an order. Her response was that I could wait as she needed to make someone elses order. There was no one else ahead of me, and she walked away. Id call this RACISM because she clearly did not like the way I looked.

Great Deli, bakery bakes French bread twice a day. Starbucks kiosk. Shop on-line option with reserved parking in front for pick-up. Recently remodeled to include glass cases for dairy section. Employees are friendly and helpful.

I love Vons. It always has fresh produce and up to date food items. However, Vons can be pricey at times so use their app to get coupons and discounts. At this particular Vons, since I work nerby, I go to the Deli and get freshly made delicious sandwiches. The guy with the red hair, Tony, makes the best sandwiches, I tried all the workers there and he is the best sandwich maker.

The amount of times Ive bought meat that doesnt expire for a week and is basically green on the inside is insane. From rotting produce to a large portion of there shelved items being way passed the expiration date, this Vons needs a full revamp. Dont buy the meat from here you will be disappointed like I have been NUMEROUS times.

We moved to Camarillo 5 years ago from Ventura. This Vons has been a huge disappointment on so many levels. The most recent travesty happened yesterday. I just got a puppy and I decided to go pick up my order rather than go inside. I went online, shopped, went with puppy to go pick up groceries. My goal was to make dinner before wife got home. I was met ouside with my delivery. I got home and half of the stuff I ordered was not included. It was listed as out of stock. I waited until wife returned home from work, having not made dinner. I went back to Vons and found all the items that were listed as not in stock. I made manager aware of the situation and they couldn’t have been less helpful. They refunded my 3.95 shopping fee and gave me a 2.00 credit reluctantly as a result of my less than enthusiastic demeanor.They’re prices have gone through the roof. Trader Joes, here I come.

Visiting from out of town and thought to stop at Vons for some eats and drinks for my hotel room. One of the items I bought was a tray pack of sushi as I saw the gentleman there making it fresh. BIG MISTAKE!!! In less than 24 hours I was infected by food poisoning. One of the worse sicknesses to have. Missed work and was bed ridden all day and living on the toilet. Not a good idea to buy this sushi from a grocery store. Lesson learned the hard way.

Friendly staff and not usually busy. They have plenty of lunch selections if you’re looking to go to the deli. I recommend the lunch special at the deli where you can get chicken tenders and two sides.

Been going to this vons since I was a kid. Never once have I been disrespected like I was today. I had come in to get a few things for our New Year party. My mom called me midway through my trip and asked me to get some Sodas and extra champagne. I dont know if it was because I was speaking Spanish or just the way I was dressed but all of a sudden this bald manager started following me around the store like uncomfortably close. It really made me uneasy and ruined my experience I think Ill be driving across town to ralphs from now on.

My neighborhood store. Convenient and able to get in and out quickly, especially with the number of easy to use self-check out machines they have. They have been able to maintain well stocked shelves for the most part and they always have a wide variety of baked goods for that late night sweet-tooth craving.

Enjoy going to my local VONS here in Camarillo in Mission Oaks, sadly to say that changes with todays visit. This is the second time I am not able to get a fresh made sandwich at the Deli as i had always been accustomed. They do offer sandwiches made in the morning that are prepackaged which is fine, however i am disappointed that i can not order a built sandwich from the deli with my preferred items. Went with my husband and picked up a prepackaged sanwhich we he did not end up eating.

Clean store, but not my preferred store even though I live close by. Prices are higher at this location. I only go for sale items or if I need something last minute. Cashiers are friendly but workers on the floor not. They avoid eye contact or even a simple hello and when I needed assistance, not helpful. Many seniors go to this location and there is plenty handicap parking.

This is my favorite grocery store in Camarillo. It is always clean, well-stocked and has the friendliest employees who will go out of their way to help a customer. I also really enjoy their produce and bakery section. The store is much roomier and the isles wider than most of the other grocery stores in the area.

Always out of stock of items. I always order the Dietz & Watson products at the deli counter. They never put paper between layers of cheese and too many times the slices of cheese are lumped together and Im unable to separate. Same with sliced meats. Ive actually received handful sized balls/wads of meat. I think they had been previously sliced for counter sandwiches. To save time they gave me 4 or 5 balls of $14/lb of roast beef. If Im paying for a prime product I expect the slices flat and in layers.Thats why its been 8 months since Ive shopped there. Ive gone back to Ralphs, Whole Foods or Sprouts! Id rather pay a bit more for Boars Head and quality service.

The entrance between the service deli, Starbucks, the lotto machine, the key machine. Is too crowded.. you cant stop to purchase a ticket or anything else, without blocking all customers coming or going. They need to remove the display table with travel mugs etc. After a nice remodel, now it seems they are junking up the store with misc. Displays.

We like this store, but we bought a slab of salmon on special there, and it smelled fishy when we got it home, and later my daughter got sick in all ways as she ate the most. I would advise not to buy fish on special there. It isnt special at all.

Vons is always a great market. But this one it seems more than most to supply issues have hit it very hard. They were out of many things in the staff wasnt really helpful in answering questions. Or caring for that matter. If theres another one closer I would go to that one.

Most beautiful produce section with a lot of organic choices. Good and dependably well stocked and clean neighborhood grocery store. My favorite place to grocery shop. Friendly checkout clerks. They always have abundant fresh flowers at the entrance - pleasant way to start shopping.

This is the Vons I always go to. Clean, good customer service, and always has what I need. It also seems a lot cleaner and safer to shop at than the other Vons on Arneill because of the way they observe social distancing and disinfecting.

I used to shop at Vons exclusively for all my groceries for over 25 years but the prices at Vons are 30 - 40 percent higher than Walmart in Camarillo, despite their discounts for Vons Card.I dont know about cost structures but the same brand item costing 40% more at Vons - not sure why.I still go to Vons but am looking and comparing more. Not sure but all stores that keep talking about coupons and savings have high prices to compensate for all those discounts.

They dont know how to stock. We can find something out of stock and go back days later and they still havent restocked. It is usually on higher end goods like organic products. But this is a higher end neighborhood. Dont stock it like its the ghetto. If you have high demand for something stock up on it! They always have tons of generics, and can go a week without the good stuff. Plus the lines are always long. But I will join the chorus and say that the people who work there are very friendly.

This Vons location has thee most wonderful people working here. They are super nice when you need help, and even nicer when you become a regular. From the Manager Javier and his team at Starbucks to Manager Miss Lysa (one of the many rad managers at Vons) and her team, my family truly enjoys coming in for our needs. I have shopped here for many years. Its a hit and miss. I would have given less star if the werent a few good employees. Never order cupcakes they tasted old, not even the kids would eat them. Meat, deli and floral departments are both good. Some checker are so crabby I wont even get in their line. 6 years ago I would have give 4 or 5 stars.

Clean, somewhat convenient shopping. The Mission Oaks area always feels a little bit secluded from the rest of Camarillo, and this shopping center is the downtown of this small community within a small town. This Vons is clean and well stocked, but always seems to have a strange assortment of patrons here.
