This is the Vons where we go to the most. It has a pharmacy with very accommodative pharmacists. The store is close to the highway and major roads. I like the atmosphere and large aisles. It is very quiet inside which makes it easy to shop and find what you need. They also have a Starbucks inside as well for those coffee goers. The produce section is very large and nice. The parking lot is standard and easy to find good parking. This is a good bond grocery store.

I love you guys but this is actually bad. Please clean out your fridge for the strawberries and blueberries. For the past few months theyve been collecting mold. thats a health hazard get them off the shelves NOW.

This Vons Bakery has great cakes and super talent.Give them your ideas and they can help you decide on just the right design on your cake.I believe it was Enrique who made my delightful Dinosaur/Dragon cake. I have shopped in this Vons Grocery Store twice and I learned a lot of grocery items in their store are (over priced). I was looking for a loaf of Thomas Swirl Cinnamon Raisin Bread so I went tothis Vons location since it’s close by my home.I asked this Vons employee does she have thisThomas Swirl Cinnamon Raisin Bread in stock?She said yes we do and she escorted me over to the Bread Department, this older woman employee was very helpful and had a pleasant personality tome the customer.I looked at the different brands of cinnamon raisin bread. Vons had Sun Maid, Pepperidge Farm, andThomas Swirl Raisin Bread. All of these Raisin Bread Brands we’re almost $5.00 for just (one loaf of Raisin Bread).When I compared these prices to my local WalmartSupercenter Store the same brand of Thomas Swirl Cinnamon Raisin Bread is the regular price for only $2.87. If Vons this grocery Store lowers their food prices I would consider doing my grocery shoppingthere sometimes. I gave Vons a 3 star review because that woman employee was very helpful and friendly to me. I do like the way this Vons Store is organized and this store is very clean. The cashiers are really nice also.

I had recently ordered a cake for my daughters birthday with high hopes after seeing the cakes pre made daily in the bakery case. After consulting with a baker and making an order for a cake 6wks in advance I was told they could make the cake I was wanting no problem! I mentioned it was toy story theme and not to worry about cake figurines because I would buy them myself. Only leaving the colorful blank slate of a cake open to them based upon a photo I presented(attached) and even emailed to them directly…. However I come to find out the day before my daughters birthday that the cake I ordered was not only themed to my little pony but had also basically collapsed on itself by the time I got home. Keep in mind that I only live 10 minutes away and yes the cake was placed on a flat surface in the car. Nothing I had mentioned on my picture presented was attempted or referred too on the cake and now it looks like I’ll be reconstructing the cake the night before as well. As far as I’m concerned this cake better be the best cake I’ve ever tasted because it looks like trash. I’m so let down by what was so confidently told to me just to find out what I wanted was completely disregarded. I even was specifically told the green dripping of icing would be done on the top layer, again nothing was followed from the picture I asked. If you want any custom cakes done you might as well ONLY pick something from their pre made book. Again such a disappointment and absolutely ridiculous…Update: I also later realized that the marble cake I ordered was in fact white cake only and the bottom cake had no filling, only straight strawberries on dry cake…..I’m sorry but the order slip wasn’t read at all.

I want to say Thank you to Vons Bakery especially THANK YOU to Enrique who made 2 cakes for my birthday and they were amazing and beautifully decorated. He was so nice and polite when taking my order and was very helpful. I was just in awe for these cakes. I definitely recommend getting your cake for any occasion at this location.

This Vons in particular always has the most friendly staff members who see to making my shopping experience wonderful. Always willing to help lend a hand. The facility itself is always kept clean, updated and user friendly. They have better quality food (fresh), and better choices than competitors.

I came to Von’s on 2/14/23 around 4-5pm. I don’t usually shop here but I had a very pleasant experience. Aaron made my day. He was so welcoming and sweet and made me laugh and smile. I am going to shop here more often because of staff like Aaron. I hope Aaron had an amazing Valentine’s day and I hope he gets the recognition he deserves. Will be back very soon.

Pretty rude and smug employee by the name of Jackie m who happens to be a supervisor. I work in retail so Im always friendly towards fellow retail workers so I was taken back by the response for a simple request that didnt require anything from her. All I asked was for all of my groceries to be bagged and made a face and snide comment about bagging a 6pack Ramen box. I told her they fit because once upon a time I was a bagger and she gave me a long drawn out ooookayyyy. So I asked her if she was okay because she was being rude to which she replies Im sorry you feel that way. No thank you after paying Vons premium prices for their un-premium customer service. But its okay I still said your welcome and thanked the bagger. This type of attitude wouldnt be tolerated at my my place of work nor would I would allow my front end to be in such dismay.

This is the cleanest store in the area. It is nice and neatly laid out. For example, when walking into the produce department it is quite visually clear where everything is located. They always have sanitizer wipes for your cart/hands, even when everyone else was out. So..this rating is four stars because approximately 50% of the time I buy their Ice Cream it has been melted and refrozen. When you open the container it is smooth/flat and down 1/4 of container and not so churned anymore. I keep trying to find a good carton because Signature Select Mint Moose Track is the best (when you find some that has been kept frozen).

Employees are extremely friendly and helpful. I just dont like coming there because of the crowd. One guy with a bowl haircut who had newspaper all over the floor and didnt bother to pick them them tried to accuse me of stealing while I was still shopping!!! Then a mentally ill man came in the store screaming at everyone. It is by no way Vons fault. Just be prepared to deal with crazies when shopping here

Stopped by to buy flowers for one of my admire male friend . And the flowers were gorgeous three weeks later. Checked out by the flowers as the woman was talking about their week . The register lady was very nice and polite. 💜💜💜Their fresh flowers!

Our neighborhood Vons is clean and usually well stocked. Everyone I’ve talk to has been nice. Could find my raw tortillas today snd no one new where they moved them too. Otherwise, good selections of everything else. They sell Dots pretzels now…yummy stuff when you can find them. We enjoy the original.

Everything was going good. Got great deals. It was a little more than a half hour from closing. No one was really in the store. Absolutely nobody by the butcher, who is putting things away. I asked if I could get some ahi tuna. He said he put it away already. Made no attempt to just run back there and get me a couple of pounds. And told me to come back tomorrow. {Almost 25 miles round trip).He did have plenty of time to stop and do nothing and talk to a girl while I shopped for my other stuff around there. It rubbed me the wrong way.

The worse customer service, was at 7 pm they dont have anyone to hand you a cake and THE SUPERVISOR stated she doesnt have anyone who has a food handling license in the store. And she didnt want to help either.If thats true someone needs to take a look at the deli department to see if they have the required license.Because 2 employees were standing there and they didnt want to help.(I DONT THINK SHE IS A SUPERVISOR OR THE DEFINITION OF SUPERVISOR CHANGE). Her name is katline or something like that.This will be my last time stepping into this location.Thats how you lose customers.

If I could give less I would. My mother ordered a sandwich at the deli counter. The woman who made it was rude and had poor communication. My mom asked for extra meat, tomatoes, and peppers. The total was $16.99. When my mom said that the up-charges were much higher than expected, and the woman hadn’t communicated that there would be this much additional charges, she got her manager. The woman told her manager that she had communicated the price. The deli manager took her word for it and became very confrontational. My mom took the sandwich and said she’d pay for it but was very disappointed in how the situation was handled. As i was walking toward the checkout line, I encountered the deli manager telling another manager what happened in a very upset tone, saying she was “just letting him know…” To me, it was very unprofessional she was doing this publicly in the middle of the store. I am not a person that writes reviews often or is confrontational, but the way that my mother was treated was so upsetting to me that i needed to share.

While I have never had a bad experience at this Vons; cant say that Ive had a memorable one either. Until today, the cashier we had today was extra awesome, quick,witty,friendly, genuine and attentive to my young niece....left laughing and will definitely make it a point to be in his line just for the great service!! Place is very clean and they make effort to get items on the shelves they customers are looking for. However the prices have gone on some items and the aisles are wide. And some items on my last shopping experience they no longer have in stocks.I will need to go back to either Walmart or Winco who tend to have items that I regularly purchase.

They usually have great fruit there BUT this time i bought cherries cause they were on sale so i bought 2 bags and BOTH bags were aweful cherries (now i know why they put them on sale) but other than that they have good meat if you can get it on sale if not they are way to expensive. My grandmother has been coming here for decades! She even moved and insists on coming back to shop & use the pharmacy. She now gets her prescriptions via the mail but Vons has botched her perscriptions for the second time now and told her that she needed to come in bc her credit card didnt work. HUGE inconvenience bc she doesnt drive anymore. Im praying that the situation has been rectified like she shared.

Clean; produce/bakery/floral area display makes it appealing - adjoining Starbucks had a nice, little, cafe ambiance. The store does not have bright overhead lighting, which is a big plus add far as Im concerned. Very extensive collection of wines and beers, for a neighborhood market. Not busy at all when I went at 9:30/10 pm. Young man (supervisor) went out of his way to check stock in back for an item I wanted.

A quick trip to the DMV Kiosk to renew my vehicle registration. Quick, easy & only a 2.1% service fee. Received renewal document & 2021 sticker (which has plate # right on the sticker, brilliant). From start to finish it maybe took 3 minutes. A total pleasure!

Mask of the beast :8/11 @ 9:00pm. I go to get a tub of ice cream. On my way in, my last mask falls on the ground in some road water. Initially I thought I’d have to go home, then realized I had freshly washed shirt in the trunk. I grab the shirt and walk up to the market. The cart lady at the front stops me to say that my shirt is not a mask and I can’t go in. Rather than stoop to the level of the angry cart cleaning woman, I said that’s fine, I’ll shop elsewhere. I turn around to walk to the car and she yells “good, makes no difference to me”. Is this still about masks for safety? Or is it so people can judge and shame others. Don’t judge by color/ race, only judge for your initial reaction about masks.I went to Ralph’s down the road and they ended up having what I wanted on sale. (Vons doesn’t do sales as well, last time they didn’t even have stock of what they advertised) Pumped on Ralph’s for letting me in with my shirt mask

Store did not stock many of the specifically advertised items. AND: Cashier was arguing that obvious product stains on conveyor belt were water! Belt really dirty and stained with dried liquid everywhere. Cashier made a big drama out of wiping it down, when I asked her nicely. The store opens at 6:00 am however the fresh bakery is never ready at 6:00. you will have to walk through trash bags of yesterdays bagels, cakes, cookies etc. If you are looking for donuts, bagels do not arrive at 6:00 expecting this. If they are ready they will be out on the backing racks where you are expected to get them off yourself. I have complained to 3 different managers about this but nothing ever changes. I gave 1 star because you at least have to give that to post,

When the governor of California declared that people needed to stay home beginning this evening, Thursday March 19th 2020, a lot of people rushed the stores.The customers of Vons were nevertheless polite, and were just getting what they needed to hold them over. The staff handled it very well. it was a joy to be at Vons doing emergency last minute shopping. In a bad situation this was a good place to be.

The Old Mexican lady with the wrinkles chachi who work in the bakery had a attitude when I asked her to cut my French bread into slices but she cut the customer bread before me with no problems but she smushed my bread in the machine because she didn’t want to do it and said that it comes out like that. I felt like she was being prejudice because the customer bread before was just fine, if I wasn’t black I don’t think I would’ve had this problem not saying everybody there is like that but she definitely feels sometime of way about black people and I shop here frequently but this time she made my shopping experience unpleasant

Vons pharmacy I would like to begin with Kevin a very very sweet Vietnamese man who is very sweet soft spoken an takes his time with you .Then there is the single mother pharmacist, you would think being a single mom she would have compassion for people, well not true .my 80 year old grandfather who has recently lost his wife of 60 years, who struggles to get to the pharmacy an is on a fixed income an has to spend most of his social security on things not covered by his insurance at the pharmacy gets yelled out by the pharmacist to the point my sweet grandfather comes home in tears .He is a old man for Gods sake have some compassion, lady even when you get old I dont want to wish onto you the way you treated my grandfather you should be ashamed. He was simply asking you the pharmacist a question about the medicine you were giving him an you treat a veteran like he is a misbehaving child shame on you !I will not allow my Grandfather to shop there anymore!!!

I know John and hes a good manager so thats why this place has a 4 star. But on Thanksgiving day we went to pick up our so called turkey and Ryan was there and was horrible at helping us even though we had our pink slip saying we had our Turkey but the stupid kid didnt put it in there book so we were really pissed. On top of that Ryan said, sorry, we dont have any extra Turkeys. Someone needs to fire Ryan and get a NEW manager there! I know John and he does his job great and too bad Thanksgiving day John wasnt there.

Unlike the Carlsbad Vons on El Camino across from the Mall, the staff at this Vons location is helpful and friendly. I peraonally visit this location at least once per week and they are my first choice for quick milk runs, in the effort to avoid the massive Walmart crowds.

The Bakery Manager and her staff were the WORST very rude people to me and my three yr old son! Lied to me about the restrooms telling me they were out of order and I asked her for a banana cream pie for my son and she was working on them and wouldnt give us one until they were all complete Now to me that just seems like she is jerking us around Thanks Boss Manager you just ruined my 3 yr olds Birthday!!! Great store! They are constantly trying to compete with the super center across the lot but its not easy.lots of bogos, 2 for 5 etc. Make sure u have a phone number for vons club deals.saved 40$(50%) with club card last week! Its worth spending a little more to avoid the place across the way.
