It was your typical Vons store only smaller than most Im used to. Most of the workers were friendly. The checker wasnt so good though. He charged me for 2 new bags to put my stuff in as I asked the bag person to make bags lighter for me as Im handicap. When he got low on my bags I said to make some a little heavier so I wouldnt have to by more as I brought plenty. So even after showing them both how to bag correctly the checker still charged me for 2 bags we never used ! Oh Well its the Vons Way!

This is a great community grocery store. They are my last stop on my grocery shopping days as I can get all the specialty items I need here. We also love going to them in between shopping days as they are a quick and easy stop when we are running low on something.Everyone is friendly, and most of the faces are ones I see year after year.I also feel very safe here as there is always a friendly security officer at the door.

The selection of name brand items are substantially more expensive than other near by super markets. I would love to shop here more, but prices on common items deter me from spending my money here than other grocery chains. Store is clean and staff are friendly.

I was in the area, a new customer. The cashier was named ANGIE. The worst, horrible attitude, a nightmare and a possible racist with how aggressive she was for no reason. I only had 2 items. I needed an item that was locked in a glass cabinet. She was So disturbing. I called and spoke to The manager Belinda. Not sure if that resolved anything.

Friendly staff and very professional. Great selection food, deli, and 💐. Good competitive prices. Good place to buy flowers and plants. They have a intensive international food section. They have a great meat department. Theyre just 4U is great. The self check out is great for quick shopping. They have a pharmacy with knowledgeable staff. Their bakery is great.

The line set up is horrible, one line on each side of the store. The teller has to come out from behind and the register a get each customer alerting you that you can now walk up to platform to put your items to be scanned. They need to knock down all the registers and install automatic self teller machines.

Worst self checkout attendant!! Associate that was there at 7:00pm on September 1st rudely tells me I didn’t pay. I go back to press yes for my transaction to complete and grab my receipt, then he talks to me in Spanish? Racial profiling most definitely!!!! I know the crisis is bad but I do have morals and have enough to pay for two gallons of milk!!

My shopping experience was amazing had a few issues with online ordering quantity selection. But it was resolved went inside to the seafood department in the gentleman in the back was very rude. I asked for a half a pound of my choice of seafood and he gave it to me but I then wanted to add more before he printed the label. He instantly got an attitude and crumbled the label up. He then did added more to the order but didnt ask me if the amount was okay, yet he printed another label slapped it on the bag and placed it on the counter and walked away with an attitude. Im not sure if I interrupted his day when he was assigned to do or not but it was so unacceptable.

Beautiful store, always clean & tidy. Almost all shelves full despite of how inventory has been nationwide due to the aftermath of COVID-19. Friendly staff as far as Ive experienced. I was just surprised so many things were in stock that you cant find everywhere, but a simple item carried everywhere was no in stock. This was the only reason why I rated it 4 stars. The one item I went there for they didnt have. I would still definitely recommend this store.

If youre having a party definitely go to this vons to order your fried chicken. I was able to call in a order 24 hours before and it was ready on the day that I needed it. I got 50 pieces for $39.95 and with tax came to $43.00. Vons chicken was juicy, fresh, succulent, and we couldnt get enough of it. Ill definitely will be ordering from this particular branch again. The gentleman that helped me was very friendly, polite, courteous, and professional. Thanks again.

Vons has a wide variety of food choicesThe produce is always fresh and although their prices are a bit higher than food for less, the quality is much better. I took one star away because their rotisserie chickens are very small, but too expensive for what youre getting. Vons, I love you when you have your beef sales. They arent often but when you do have them its a great deal. Now for the complaint. I went to pick up lettuce, 3 different kinds and they were all close to being rotten. The other leaf vegetables were not much better. I bought them anyway and sliced off the parts that were way past their prime and lost at least 50%. I am wondering if the pandemic has interrupted your supply chain? As for your discounts, it seems like the price of items you stock are higher than your competitors but by offering special club member prices, the consumer feels like they got a deal but end up paying what they would have paid elsewhere without a club card. This is common knowledge, so why continue to have club card discounts? Whole foods cut prices up to 40% after being acquired by Amazon. Lastly, one of your employees in the deli was maskless telling a customer if he dies he doesnt care because its his time to go. What about the rest of us he may end up infecting?

Although Im not in this area often, I love this particular location of Vons. There is ample parking and also a gas station! It is a very large, very well organized and clean huge Market and staff. The staff is very knowledgeable and eager to please and be of help. In particular I needed help at the butcher department and had called ahead and they have totally gone out of their way to enter my satisfaction not only with what I had requested but with any future needs. This place totally rocks for a grocery store!!

Good shopping experience until I went to.check out. There was a long line of people and only four check out clerks it was long wait to get six items rung up.But store was clean well stocked everyone was very friendly. My only complaint is it took long to.get checked out this was the day before new years eve. People were out shopping for for their new years day dinner.

Oh wow, so, so so expensive. Basically if you dont have a membership you will pay 7-Eleven prices. If you do, you will probably still pay massively more than at most supermarkets. After 15 minutes of trying to grocery shop at their exorbitant prices, I said to my wife to just take the half dozen items we had and go down the road to Aldi instead. Still cost us over $32 for about 6 basic items.

Used to love going here when Eric was manager. Since he retired. Customer service has definitely declined. Cashiers barely say anything to you or are talking about personal subjects while working. Unprofessional!! I can walk to this store from my house but choose to go to the Lawndale location since service is way better in my opinion.

This place needs better management.It seems like its run by some high school kids. they dropped the ball too many timesAt the deli area. They dont have no common sense. Theres a line of customers and the employees are stocking up shelves and sweeping the floors. And its sad to see that the man is sweeping and the women are working. They need to fire him he has no common sense. He sought another employee that was not working there that day and started talking to her while there was a line. I wonder who hires people like this they need to get fired as well well this will be the last time Ill be at Vons so good luck Im going to Albertsons a couple blocks away at least theyre on point. I came to the store for a few items and proceeded to check out. Register #8 between 6pm & 7pm was Irene I believe read the name badge for the cashier & Jacob was the man bagging: they were talking to each other and I asked if she was open, she replied yes very quietly & proceeded to be quiet and ring my items, however I could tell she was not happy that I interrupted her conversation w/Jacob. I was asked if I needed bags, I said yes please, and Irene asked paper or plastic, I replied plastic please...she was beyond irritated at this point. I dont understand what the problem was, but I wasnt here for the issue she had. Yet another missed opportunity for me to have given this store a great review, but this visit went in vain. Honestly, this has not happened to me at this location, it was a first. Good luck with your situation, I hope it improves.

I was surprized at how rude a supervisor (Sal) was to a customer. She only wanted to get the sale price on a bag of English muffins. There was none on the shelf and she wanted him to either let her substitute for another brand or give her a rain check. He would do neither, and then refused to talk to her. When I tried to intervene, he then refused to talk to me. I finished paying for my items but it was all I could do to not walk out and leave everything behind. She was a senior citizen and he was a barely 30-something and could have been kind to her, but chose not to. I asked him is it worth losing a customer, over a bag of muffins? And he refused to even look up at me. What a jerk.

I find this store to be painful. I am handicapped and the electric cart for disabled is seldom visible and when it is, has no clear path into the store. I am caused to walk extra far as they block easy exit and funnel everyone through their maze.

But when the staff seems this unhappy and miserable to work, I wish I would have went somewhere else. As a former district manager I always wonder where is your manager? Overall this place is ok. I was a little disappointed when the cashier got an attitude because I asked are the French Toast sticks cooked fresh? She gave me a somewhat smart answer, then spoke Spanish to the young lady making the food orders. After that, the cashier tried to be nice, but it seemed she still carried the anger. I apologized to her by saying I am sorry if my question offended you, she replied everything is cooked fresh, and if you want it cooked to your order, you can just ask. I said ok, but she still had a slight attitude through the completion of my order (although, she tried not to show it). Well thats it, I only wrote the comment because we should never be made to feel bad or sorry that we asked a question. Whether at work, home, or in a restaurant, its ok to ask questions. There are no stupid questions if its asked in sincerity and asked nicely. Thanks for reading.

Its groceries. Prices are high and quality isnt as good as other vons locations ive been to. Surprisingly the wealthier neighborhoods have better quality at lower prices. Hmmmm. I wonder why. No complaint other than that but nothing stellar about this place. The produce section is very confusing and they have a habit of showcasing needlessly expensive organic produce over the reasonably priced regular produce. Not a place to go to save money, but they are close enough to me where I can walk there. Really the only reason I stop in here to buy a few essential items.

You would think that if it is always sold out you would order a larger quantity to make your customers happy. This is not my usual grocery store but they have good sales on Friday, $5 Fridays and their 4 for $4 sales arent bad either. The meat department is excellent they have the most tender steaks. The emplyees are friendly and they remember you! The only problem is if you have to use a raincheck their registers arent set up to calculate the price difference, the cashiers have to use the calculater on their phones! If you use a raincheck do the math ahead of time Ive seen a few cashiers who cant figure it out. Also, expect to put all heavy items on the counter they dont have scanners either.

The Gardena Vons is not very accommodating. This location does not offer online grocery pick up.The female pharmacy manager for the morning deliberately removed my request to use Good RX for a prescription and filled my order using some Vons discount and tried to tell me it was cheaper. I know that it was not cheaper as Good RX shows the price of the prescription for each store. The manager then said it would take a half hour to change the discount code if I wanted to wait.This Vons location in Gardena is the only location that would not fill the doctors full request for a prescription over 30 days, and this location claims it is my insurance. Yet, I have been to two other Vons locations, in different areas over the past three years and have had no problem getting the full amount. Is it just me?

4 stars. This is one of the four major supermarket chains on (Los Angeles county). Located in a relatively safe and good section of Gardena, California, this Vons is clean, and its well-stocked. The only reason Vons doesnt get all five stars is because I think the Vons companys grocery prices are too expensive compared to the other majors. Plenty of free outdoor parking and its located in a strip mall with several eateries, a small bank, and a major drug store.

Was ok, but the people buying all the toilet paper, the hand sanitizers, and some other items, i bought chili and one thing of toilet paper (bought the 2nd to last scotts 10 rolls, heard costco had very long lines and they were starting to limit to 2 packages. Always crowded. Ive never been here in the last 5 or 6 years when the store wasnt crowded. They dont have self-service aisle either. The produce always goes bad on me on about 3/4 days. Last, know your prices before you come, some items are way over the costs at other nearby stores.
