Vons was nice and clean. I always post gluten free stuff so people get a general idea. Lots of options for gluten free baking via the box. There’s also freezer section and bread that is gluten free. Not one of the bigger Vons but good enough for what you need!

I needed to use the restroom before I started shopping. Normally at Vons they just give you the code but this worker only unlocked it for me with their key.. While using the restroom I heard everyone else enter with a code. I feel somewhat discriminated against and offended that I wasn’t just given the code like everyone else.

Juan from the Deli was very helpful! I drove in from Santa Barbara to purchase the ReadyMeals, The Jamaican Jerk Chicken is my absolute favorite unfortunately not all Vons offer ReadyMeals. Juan patiently answered all my questions and if this store didnt have something, he would redirect me somewhere that did. Thank you so Juan!

The store was clean and fully stocked. No line to get in. Jose was very helpful in the meat dept. Jonathon sold us salmon, and told us how to cook stuffed scallops. Maria the cashier was also friendly and helpful and Christopher bagged our food with a smile.

I love this store! Granted I have been coming here for years, but for a good reason. Everyone that works here really cares about this branch. Staff is friendly and helpful. I can usually find everything I need and get in and out pretty quickly. I know things are tough, still everyone is rising to the the occasion. I just hope that all customers respect the health of all the employees and other customers so we can continue coming to our local store. Thanks to all Vons workers and other essential partners. 🤙👍

This Vons has the most absolute horrible management. If I spend $5. at 7/11 or Arco, I get a big Thank You AND a smile. Spend a 100.PLUS dollars at this VONS consistently and you dont even get a THANK YOU and forget about a smile, its non-existent too! The brown haired manager lady and check-out staff are without a doubt the worst. Customer Service is not in their vocabulary - Hey folks, walk thru TRADER JOES on Mills for FIVE MINUTES, they do everything you dont do (and they seem happy and pleasant, not depressing) - its not complicated folks, and it COSTS ZERO! VONS needs to clean house in this store.

The employees here are awesome. I havent had a problem with customer service. The produce section is limited compared to other stores, not always the most fresh. And, there is no meat / seafood counter in it this store. But what they do have available pre-packaged has always been good quality

Ive been a customer for over 20 years. This store is in a great location and its convenient, its on my way home and I love getting rewards. However! I dont know what happened to customer service and Im guessing training in bagging is not happening anymore and its not just this one store. Not happy that I almost lost my pies. I had to spend ten minutes in the parking lot to rebag my groceries.

11/28/23 can always find interesting premade dishes in the deli dept. Love their desserts but the dairy. About the only place I can find the cat litter my cats like11/23/2022They are pretty much the same, very clean. Today is the first time Ive seen it crowded, obviously because of Thanksgiving.Ive never seen such a clean grocery store as this one. The floors were so clean they were super bright. Hardly any one there must be an off time for this particular store. But a lot better than the one on Main St downtown.

Clean and reliably stocked Vons location, only reason for decreased stars is I have never shopped at this location and easily found a cart with wheels that were acceptable. Normally I have to choose 5--7 different carts before I find one that is without 1 or more broken/damaged wheels. This is a regular issue with most Vons and not exclusive to this location. I regularly shop this vons and procure the vast majority of my groceries from this location.

Been going to Vons on Thompson for 16 years. Its nicely lit, clean, and a little pricey but competitive. I give it a 3 star rating and heres why:1. Items that are posted in the weekly ad are not stocked with enough items and always seem to run out of whats on sale too early2. I would really like to see the stores employees smile and be friendly to the customers. They look so unhappy. It used to be a really good light hearted friendly and fun place to shop, but now I feel the atmosphere is tense and the vibe I feel is like us shoppers are an inconvenience, or that maybe they dont enjoy working there. They just need to be a little more friendly and look happier.I apologize if I offend anyone, but thats my take on it and its only an observation.

Another Vons wouldnt let me return my unused firewood. This Vons had no issue and was so sweet about it! The person who helped me with the return was a supervisor. I would definitely come here again with such good leadership and customer service.

Great place to grocery shop but be aware there security is very rude allowing Uper class citizens to hangout with there family and peers. Or to sit at the picnic tables while they wait or surf the web. But I seen an altercation with a local homeless woman doing nothing to anyone, she was minding her own business. When he singled her out and called the police. Now I dont know what kind of a past they might have. But a week later I seen it happen again only with a young homeless man.

I have been coming to this vons for years and never felt the need to leave a review but after meeting Aryel last night I felt it was important to acknowledge her effort. Last night around 10pm I went into Vons for a few groceries during checkout for the 1st time I met Aryel which hopefully I spelled her name correctly. Any how I found her to be extremely kind to my husband and I. She made short conversation with us and made sure we found everything we needed. She even asked if wed like things to be bagged a specific way and came around the counter to load our bags for us. Ive never met any cashier who went out of their way to make sure our trip to the grocery store was so pleasant. Normally I dont care where we buy our groceries but thanks to Aryel Ill be sure this Vons is the only place we will be doing our shopping. Some thing else to add is I love that Vons is allowing their employees to be themselves such as I noticed she had a piercing which I thought was pretty cool they allowed her to express herself in a way she felt comfortable.

Vons is a great place to go for groceries mainly due to how easy it is to find everything you need. They have signs for every aisle, and the layout itself makes it easy to get whatever you need from there. I would also recommend their club membership if you go there often because it ends up saving you a lot of money.

I had a hard time finding employees to help me. Poorly stocked shelves. I looked for a while for help. There were no 2% milk gallons, and the half gallons were pushed all the way in the back of the case. Frustrated, I had to climb into the dairy case so I could get the milk. Then, I needed fresh basil, I found everything but. I took the one basil plant they had from the floral department to the register. I expressed to the checker that I did not find everything I needed today, and she just kinda glossed over it. So I told her anyhow. She wasnt concerned at all, but the sweet, smiling, polite young lady bagging my groceries offered to go get me some fresh basil, she knew where it was. When she got back, she said that everyone had a hard time finding it. Hello? Time to move the basil to a friendlier location. The checker told me that this was the time, a lot of the floor employees take their lunch, which by the way was about 5:15 pm, a busy time when people stop by the market before going home. In my opinion, a bad time to have employees missing. If it wasnt for the bag girl, I would give this store 0 stars! The two stars are for the sweet young lady. Bad first impression, this is not my regular market, thankfully.

The employees are very nice, but the wait in lines usually take about fifteen minutes, which I find excessive. I find the prices generally higher because of its proximity to the ocean. The store is well laid out and easy to find the product you want. There is also a Starbucks in the store which is a plus.

As for the cashiers, they are always warm and friendly. However the service at the deli dept. is very poor. One day I stood there for at least 5 minutes and was not even acknowledged. A couple came by and asked me if the deli was open. I told them I believed it was, but I had been standing there for a long time. I finally walked away and got a package of lunch meat. The one thing I have an issue with - and always have- is the bathroom. It is always dirty and stinky. I have gone to other VONs stores and this has not been an issue. There is usually toilet paper on the floors, or a wet toilet set. My shoes stick to the floor and it down right stinks. Its disgusting. For this I give a thumbs down. They need to mop the floors with a disinfectant, and make sure the restroom is clean at all times. There is nothing more gross than having a dirty bathroom in a place where you are purchasing food. YUCK.

Well they are located right downtown and are open from 6am to 12 am (with the exception of a few hours difference on holidays) 365 days a year. They have seperate parking and their own store security 7 days a week as well. I find what I need there or in the little stores and restaurants that surround it known as Mission Plaza. Helpful and courteous employees are always available when I have ever needed something for almost ten years now:-D

Left my wallet in a shopping cart and while rounding up carts for the evening, Wendy found it and returned it to their lost and found. I went to two different Vons stores one store the lady in the flower shop was kind of snobby saying if it was not on the shelf we dont have it not what she said how she said it. went to another Vons worker went into the cooler to find my product I apologize when he came back that was not what I wanted I wanted a six pack he turned around kick the door open to the cooler pretty hard I told another worker that was standing there he acts like hes mad. The other worker twisted his face like I aint saying nothing I feel like I wont ask for help anymore if its not on the shelf you dont have.

Shopping here since 1966. Best Vons store in town and we have 5 Vons in our city. This one is on Borchard, one on Ventura Avenue, One on Harbor by Seaward, two on Victoria at Telephone and Telegraph. Always nice, helpful. They are hardworking and good people. The ladies working Bakery are sweethearts, always take time to help. And the ladies baking the chickens dont mind a special order if I get to them early in time.

It is no surprise that vons is high priced but what was a surprise to me it I think they are actually cheating people. I just got 93% lean 7% fat Signature ground beef and when I made hamburger patties water just squeezed out. Not beef juice water my hands didnt even smell like beef they were so wet with water. With ground beef selling for what steak did two years ago, shame on them.

I needed one item and with four employees talking at the customer service desk and only 1 register open maybe they need to pay more attention to the meaning of customer service. Best vons in ventura out of the 4 or 5 of them lol. I wont go to any of the other ones. Just went in today right before thanksgiving thinking the lines would be crazy but was in and out of the line in less than 10 mins. As i was loading my car up this nice woman collecting the carts said she would wait for me and would take my cart back for me. And she wished me a happy thanksgiving 😊 What a nice lady seriously. Looking back i wish i had tipped her. Next time i see her i will.

I have been a client of this particular store for more than 40 years. Last Tuesday, was there shopping and wanted to buy the Jennie-OR Turkey meat. It was sold out. The clerk very nicely told me to get a raincheck. This morning I went back to the store to get the meat, this other clerk saw the raincheck and called her manager Tomas he came and ask me, What is the problem? My reply was what problem. He then proceed to tell me in a very loud voice that I was holding up the lane, and that it was not possible to get this item for this price, and that was not a real raincheck, to which I replied that I believed that the person that issued the raincheck Estrella, was a manager too, and not only signed the paper but stamped it too with the store stamp. VONS 2677 47. Very upset by the manner I was spoken to. For now on, I will go to Traders Joe.

Security is built up of about 3 separate guards, all of which are rude and inconsiderate of anyone that doesnt fit the image of a soccer mom or Wall Street. Unrealistic expectations led a lot to encounter issues with security and few employees here. Ive seen security steal a womans cell phone that was charging and taunt her with it making her cry and embarrassing the poor woman altogether. Not a shopping center to be visited anytime soon.
