A nice, clean grocery store. It has a Starbucks booth whenever you need a good cup of tea or coffee. There is also self-checkout services, and prices are reasonable and affordable. The bakery here is also really good. I highly recommend shopping here.

I always have issues at the deli at this specific store. The lines are usually long and there’s someone that’s working that usually doesn’t work in that area. It seems they are short handed. There was no glove changing at the deli meat counter by the employee slicing the meat between customers. I told the employee that I wanted the meat sliced thin he gave me whatever he wanted. I had to change the bags that the lunch meat came in bc it had meat juice and seasoning all over them. I have given up at this store and I’m finding a new store to shop at.

DONT order from the bakery and expect a nice cake. Went in last week and asked for a birthday cake. Said the birthday girl loved pink so use lots of pink. I literally got a plain white cake with happy birthday written in pink and no other decoration. They win most disappointing boring cake ever!! The lady said the designer has left foe the day so nothing she could do about it. What a waste.

Our regular store. Switched from Albertsons (even though theyre the same) due to the produce and meat sections. They seemed better at Vons. Although you save money, the prices are not low. Its like buying gas at Chevron, you use rewards and the price lowers to the price at other stations.....

My go to grocery store. Just a heads up though, recently got chicken here and found hairline sized worms in the chicken. Be cautious, its a bummer that this happened and with the prices being so high right now its even more of a blow.

Very clean and organized. Everyone there is very helpful. Well stocked, of course due to Covid19 the cleaning supplies and disinfectants are depleted but thats to be expected at the present time. I really like their variety of produce, fruit and flower selection.

Stopped shopping here because I had multiple bad experiences with the same cashier. I even avoid her line, but one time I was in a rush, didnt notice it was her, and she made me regret it. She was a mature Indian woman. Just for her, avoid this nice grocery store.

Von’s is a soulless Californian supermarket. It would be way better if they finally manage to run it without any people rather than employing ones who couldn’t careless about pretty much anything in the world. They are like taken from a plastic toy store - standard chemicals in a standard shape - predictable but tasteless - from the produce to the thousands of carbohydrate derivatives. The bakery is a joke that can only thrive on the US West coast - sugar packed ugly shapes and colors without fantasy or even an attempt to improve on what a not really interested six years old would create.It is so shameful to witness year after year how a billion dollar power creates zombified stores for zombified customers.

Meh, I dont normally go here, but was grocery store hopping to compare prices on some of my everyday items. Theyre more expensive than my normal store, less expensive than some. If theyre convenient to your location, then go ahead, theyre well kept and clean, but youll definitely spend more on every item you pick up.Staff was real sweet though. Ive been using this Vons now for 30 years. Very clean, organized nice area. Parking lot has a on site security guard as well as Vons itself has their own on site security guard. They keep the store friendly and it’s always a pleasant experience. It’s a really nice feeling to have a grocery store that I’ve gone to for so long that I feel I know many of the employees personally and it is so nice to see them and get a chance to catch up on their day to day lives.It’s a nice welcoming feeling and it’s a special store to meThanks guys

Clean, well stocked, and friendly staff. Usually does not carry newer release items until months after their release, if ever. If you use the rewards app, make sure to double check the totals as there have been multiple instances where loaded coupons and items havent been taken off of the total as they should have been. When brought to the attention of on site cashiers or customer service they are quick to correct the mistakes.

Still woefully understaffed at the best of times. Its a Vons, so the basics of everything are still there but nothing will wow you. You can tell that whatever corporate overlords run it with a skeleton crew. Employees look dead eyed from overwork or a second job. Bag persons are few and far between. They arent mean, but they arent cheerful either.Compared to a Stater Brothers down the road the meat department is just sad. Most stuff comes pre-butchered by some factory far away. Normal things like beef bones are not available. Where a Stater Brothers meat department has a half dozen people working, youll be lucky to find one person behind the tiny counter. If you do find one, they are friendly enough though.Corporate takeovers of Kroger have really taken their toll too. With nearly a dozen checker lanes, only a handful are open, and checkers often pull double duty as baggers, lengthening your time at check out. Theyve converted the shopping cart area into a food delivery area, so it really shows that they are diving into the as little human contact as possible model. As such, carts are often few and far between.All in all its okay I guess. But you can do much better.

This Vons is clean and nice people and my complaint is the prices are high. In a general standpoint I spend 25.00 here every 2 weeks because of the prices and have to hit up other places to get meat and produce. I can only get on sale items here unfortunately. If they could lower prices to realistic competitors- I would spend my full grocery money here.It’s a clean store and employees are very kind and sweet.The deli has personal attention, I feel safe here- even the guard in the store is professional and kind.Cmon Vons: lower your prices permanently and u will win me over.

Great grocery store. Has variety of items beside food. I purchased a small MARILYN MONROE 2021 calendar, candle for my daughter large, scented on sale. Clean, social distancing, masks required and distance/shield between cashier and customer. Well stocked. Cheerful staff.

We go here primarily for gas and up until recently it was usually a good place to go, but they have been experiencing issues with their technology (credit card readers dont work properly, speaker to talk to the attendant is broken and anti-spill mechanisms dont work properly). The attendants used to be friendly, but are obviously sick of having to regularly deal with these issues as they are irritated when dealing with customers and constantly having to walk outside their office to deal with people having trouble. The gas station desperately needs an update!

Almost 99.9% of the time, I can get quality fruits, fresh vegetables, both organic and regular. I can rest assured that my recipes will taste as good as possible. Are there cheaper stores? Yes. But pay a little more and get a juicy melon or sweet peach, fresh organic kale, etc.. they have a wide variety too. So even if another store has something cheaper, I do have time to drive to another place to save a few cents . Usually I only but what Im using that day or the next. So I rarely have things go to waste.

Ill give Vons credit, Ive had the best online shopping experience with them so far. My order was delayed, but they were apologetic about it, and I dont think Ive ever had so few item substitutes - in other words, pretty much everything I wanted was in stock. Thats pretty rare since covid began. They were also super helpful with a money order I needed today.

Their special sales are so complicated, that the cashier cant tell if the bill is accurate, and most the time it isnt. That causes me to either let the overcharge go, or come back and spend more time getting it corrected. Its happened the last three times, so I dont shop there unless I have extra extra time.

I was there on a Sunday. They had 2 cashiers opened with 8 people in a standard line. And the express line was opened with none. I only went for chicken with a neighbor and even the delis register was closed. It was saddening to see.

The one star is solely for their homemade tortilla chips. Their old recipe was very delicious, and everyone I know enjoyed them. They would even be sold out at times. But something happened with the recipe a few months ago and now the chips are horrible. My family and I are upset at this revelation, and I know those chips aren’t selling out anymore. Please do something about this. We want the old recipe back!

Typically I am a Pavilions fan. Bond hasn’t exactly “done me wrong” except during the pandemic. They are the last adopters to policy, they have the longest lines, and shortest staff. Their shelves are usually bare and their store attendants not terribly accessible. A significant number of their employees have poor customer service attitudes (while some are actually really amazing! - sorry I don’t know you’re name!!! But I know your faces!). I’ve started going out of my way to go to the Ralph’s on Woodruff and Del Amo. They rock!

I mainly shop here to buy flavored sparkling water. Arrowhead flavored sparkling water frequently goes on sale for 50 cent each, of which I stock up. My personal favorite is black cherry. Additionally, the Vons brand Soleil flavored sparkling water 12 packs go on sale for $2.99. Im partial towards the cucumber melon & blood orange.I love eating lamb, and Vons has good deals on lamb chops. I usually go for lamb shoulder chops, as they run $5/lb on sale or $5.99/lb regular price, if I cant find them in the clearance meat section for even less. Grilled or sautéed in clarified butter or coconut oil, they come out delicious everytime.The freshly made sushi has been a go-to lunch for me on several occasions. I dont care for the ready made sushi found at such places like Trader Joes, as refrigeration causes the rice to become both soggy & hard at the same time. Here, the sushi, especially if bought earlier in the day, is fresh and made with quality. I usually purchase the spicy tuna or shrimp tempura roll.Another enticement for customers to shop is $5 Fridays. Many a time, Ive bought their 8 piece fried/baked chicken, which are quite tasty. Im also fan of their fried/baked chicken combo sale that comes with potato salad & Hawaiian rolls. Good stuff!For the coffee lovers, a Starbucks is located by the south entrance. Unfortunately, this & other in-store Starbucks dont give out used coffee grounds upon customers request. Too bad.Service has been okay. It always seems not enough checkout lanes are open whenever Im here. But, the checkout process goes quickly enough. Parking is via a private lot.Vons is usually on my weekly rotation, and as a creature of habit, youll find me here on the same days, around the same time. Typing this now, Im salivating upon anticipation of some medium rare lamb chops, rested for 10 minutes, awaiting that delectable fat permeating my lips. Yes!Recommend!

Large enough Vons to have things you need. Theres an on-site gas station if you fill up with them. They have wi-fi in the store but Ive found it spotty at best and slow when connected. Couple clearance racks in the front if you want to find a deal. Additionally, if youre not aware, they have a frequent shopper reward program called Just 4 U that yields more savings than the weekly specials. Digital coupons are key!Oh, the staff is always friendly and smiling... keeping things positive.
