I love this Vons. It is not huge but they almost always seem to have what Im looking for and its pretty clean. The produce is consistently good. The staff is great. But what I like most about this Vons is that they Always have stacks of CLEAN grocery baskets at both entrances.

In my opinion this is the best Vons in Ventura. It’s a good size store, always seems to be have a full inventory of items. The store itself is pretty clean inside & outside. Most of the staff is is kind and helpful. They have all the standard things inside food wise, a deli, bakery, floral corner, a Starbucks, a US bank I believe with an ATM for them. They have a very nice meat section & seafood section. The butchers are helpful and fast. Can also find good bargains here as well. If you aren’t closest to this Vons I’d recommend stopping in if you got time & transportation. Great overall Vons here on the east end of Ventura.

This is my go to vons because I live right down the street everyone is nice and helpful except for this cashier CHRISTINE Everytime I come in theres been multiple times where I have asked where an item is and she is of no help and extremely rude like its a burden for her to help me out. I went in this morning to get my weekly groceries and made the mistake of getting in her lane. She just stares at you with a scowl I had an item that I thought was on sale and sure enough it was but she insisted it wasnt being extremely rude like how hard is it to check one item its no skin off her back but she has not one inch of her that wants to help anybody. I wont be coming back to this location. There about 4 other vons in the area that Ill do my shopping at now

Vons customer service has always been good. The selection of the store i feel has been lacking. Lots and lots of processed foods. The nice part about whole foods is they simply do not carry products with high fructose corn syrup and that definitely can not be said about vons. I also feel the produce has been majorly lacking and very sad. The only constant veggies here are onions. It would be nice to see a lot more local companies featured in the store. All this said the employees are some of the best and all deserve a raise.

The store staff was so friendly and polite! The gentleman in the meat department was very helpful as were the lady who was my cashier and the gentleman who packed/bagged my groceries!! They were so nice to me it actually left me smiling as I was leaving the store! Been shopping there for years and this was easily the most pleasant experience Ive had at the store.

Good selection of food. Great produce section. Fresh bread every 2-3 days (would like to see more fresh hot bread baked daily). Parking lot needs more shopping cart returns. Can get crowded. Best time to go is early in the morning, or late Friday night.

This store by far is one of the best Vons in town. They seem to be better stocked than the other 4 in town... limited specialties options ( Asian/mexican/kosher) which is pretty typical but all in all great store . Wish they were better about shoppers without masks is my only disappointment.

Ive been trying for five months now to get the store to reimburse me for extra expenses related to COVID testing from when I had an appointment for a pre-travel test and all their kits were expired. IN REPLY TO RESPONSE FROM OWNER: I have spoken twice with Mike the store manager. He forgot about me for four months and then came back at me with a lowball offer. Dont be sorry, just fix it. Im sure you have Mikes number. UPDATE 6/6/23: Mike emailed me to say that I could pick up a gift card as full reimbursement. Thank you!!!

I was specifically there to use the pharmacy. They give great and prompt service. My medications are always ready when they say they will be ready. If there is an issue they have always contacted me before I arrived. I recommend this pharmacy. The store is nice too. It has a different selection of goods than the other Vons on Victoria. Customer service is always pleasant.

Its nice when they have enough checkers. Otherwise, you could be in line all day. The employees are really nice. Im on a first name basis with half of them. The produce is always fresh and the meat counter has excellent cuts of meat. And the butchers know what theyre doing. This Vons is my go to store for just about everything. I just wish they didnt get so busy.

I wish theyd quit moving stuff around but I understand thats a marketing thing. Other than that annoying me and this location often being out of the organic and gluten-free brands I like to use, they have a pretty great selection for such a small store at a convenient location for me. Their produce is usually decently fresh, I cant review the bakery as Ive seen no gluten-free options there but the rest of the store? It could be a lot worse! Im happy with the store but there could be improvements as it is with most things.

Ive had good service and selection here for years. Pretty much everything Id expect in a local grocery store. Beer selection isnt great. Decent wine and liquor selection. Most of the beef selection seems to be choice, not prime, but with good variation, which is also seen in the other types of meat.

How do you make a strawberry cake into a birthday cake? Vons has the answer! Thank you Adriana in the Bakery Dept! The cake was above and beyond. It had whole glazed strawberries on each corner. She wrote Happy Birthday Ben and added sprinkles. The cake was delicious. Thank you!

I love this store. There was a shuffle of employees about a year ago, and I miss some of the register clerks. Initially, it was unorganized, but now it seems all the kinks are ironed out. Ill always be a Vons shopper. Another local grocery store is beautiful but, is so big, it seems like a mall. I prefer a smaller store and, shopping there for so long, I go now to find consistent quality w/brand name items, as well as the Vons signature brand items. I hope they never change.

Seems more and more customers are less important. I understand that if a store is open all night it is difficult not to inconvenience customers. But when they close at night shouldnt most be done when customers are gone. I know they work after hours CVS and Micky Ds are open all night and see the magic that should be happening after hours seems to be. Yet they start before closing. And have recently started locking one door. Next will be what toilet codes? I usually shop here a lot since it is my Bank. But the cleaning lady, is quite rude and insists on parking in prime customer spots and INSISTS on running everyone out of the bathrooms the moment Vons opens. When did customers become so unimportant? If it is so urgent cant it be done before opening or after closing? Or just politely wait a bit? It must be done the moment they open? Why? Other Vons do not work this way, so maybe I should start shopping elsewhere.

I like to take advantage of friday deals and fab5 deals, but for some reason my deals dont show up on my receipt and I am charged at the original and not the fab5 sale. Im embarrassed that I have to go to customer service and tell them I was overcharged. I received $7.68 back that I was over charged. Vons has some really great savings but the computer needs maintenance.

Starbucks Coffee. I bought a coffee about 1 hour ago. This joung employee with a nice baseball cup, well clean looking guy. A customer paid cash, the employee gave him the change, he got the customers cup touching the top, the employee NEVER WASHED HIS HANDS..the customer also joung didnt pay attention. 🙄

Doug is amazing! So many of us in the world only make the effort the give comments and reviews when we are upset. I just hope and pray he is acknowledged for this. I feel like if people were given more feedback, credit and acknowledgement we would have better service in some places. From start to finish he was so kind and even took the time to explain how he made the drink. I walked out with a smile on my face and hope to be greeted by him in the future again! On two separate occasions we have had problems with shopping at this Vons. The first time, they overcharged us during their buy 10 items sale. When we went back inside to straighten it out, the cashier would refuse to acknowledge the correct prices for the items. Even after they sent another employee to check the price, they DIDNT believe that employee either, and only refunded part of the price (which was on a sign posted behind the cashier!). The second strike against them came from their bakery section. We asked for a chocolate / caramel bistro birthday cake, and the employee handed us a cake that didnt look quite right. We asked them to make sure it was the cake we asked for, and they insisted it was the chocolate caramel cake we were asking for. When we sliced it at home, we found it was a white cake with raspberry filling.Either the staff here is trained to be rude and misinformed, or the staff just isnt trained at all. We avoid using this Vons as much as possible, and go out of our way to shop at Albertsons or Ralphs. Even though Vons sometimes has better prices, the rude and poor service just isnt worth it.

This is my go to grocery. Consistently carries the best produce out of the local markets including Ralphs, Win-co, Trader Joes, etc. Meat is also a cut above the typical chain supermarket. Minus one star for being out of some staple items I regularly buy just a little more often than I think is reasonable. Bakery is 5 stars. The Vons phone app is also pretty good.

This Vons used to face west which was rather unpleasant at dusk as the sun was in your eyes during checkout and whilst walking back to you car. Moving it 50 yards south and having it face the foothills corrected this issue. Now the only problems are vagrants and seagulls, but Im working on a solution for both...

Price is going up every time I go. Gallon of milk, up over 30%, in a week. Cookies made in the bakery, went from $5.00 to $6.00 smaller box, 20% increase. Going to change my shopping habits.
