Trevor is the most unprofessional person I have met. While this was my goto Vons, I will not return until he is gone. So many great professionals work at this store it is a crime that is forced to keep rude employees.

I don’t typically go to vons (a little overpriced compared to other supermarkets) but I do hold this place close to my heart because of the staff. Shout out to Kobe lady Dez and Teresa. Great customer service. Will always pop in when I’m in the area to get their deli mango habanero hot chicken.

The old man manager with the cardigans sucks. 5 years of shopping here and he always gives me a hard time. This time around I spent 30 minutes shopping. When it was time to pay, I forgot my wallet at home so I use Apple Pay. Their system wouldn’t take it for some reason. I get it, stuff happens. But the manager and the cashier treat me like I’m at fault and I’m trying to get away with something. Didn’t try troubleshooting. Gave me no other options. Had to walk out of there with nothing. The other grocers in the area are friendly and recognize you after a handful of trips. Went to Trader Joe’s and the Apple Pay magically works btw.

Keith the bookkeeper was the most rudest member Ive dealt with at this Vons .All the other team members are superb I go in nearly every day and for the first time I felt offended because of the purchase I made he came off to me as I was being stereotyped.

I have no opinion or ability to review the staff as I have only visited a few times, but this Vons holds itself to the same high standard as all the others in terms of keeping up the store. I believe there is a security guard on premises as well, which always makes me feel safe.

I simply asked them to load money onto my cash app card I was loading a couple hundred on thereI gave her a chance to do it but she said she couldnt really remember how to do itand I was afraid that if she did it incorrectly then I would lose my cash which is not an unreasonable fearespecially considering the amountits not like its $20 but even then... I shouldnt have to worry..anyways.. She then grabs this older gentleman and he starts trying to do itbut he cant do it either and Im still sitting there worried about the amount of cash I could lose out on because of this if it goes wrongNot at any point did either of them admit that they couldnt fully remember or get it done correctlyNeither did they grab a manager or somebody who knew how to accomplish this taskI started to get a little frustrated because they wouldnt listen to me on how I would like them to grab a manager to be safeThey both kept arguing back telling me that he was the bookkeeper and that he knew what he was doingAnd that grabbing a manager wasnt necessarybut he never completed the task and in the end just ended up saying its just not working thanks goodbyewhether I was right or wrong, they needed to grab a manager and didnt handle it in a proper way whatsoeverI left unhappy and frustratedI had to go somewhere else to accomplish my missiontoo many people these days have power trips and its insane how much they thrive off of their little power trips throughout the dayIm sorry that u believe youre better than everyone when youre 60 and work at Vonsor any other convenience store or fast food restaurant going around putting their nose up at people.... One of my favorite places to grocery shop. Food is fresh and the variety is awesome. Prices are reasonable at the moment. Their staff is totally happy and friendly. Nick, the butcher, Trinity, Nicole, Gerard, Heather and Sean in bakery have superior customer service and it is always a joy to see them. Thank you, Vons!

Its a pretty good store not a fine Gourmet AAA rated store but for regular groceries its suffices!! Although the parking lot always seems full the store is never crowded which is one reason I go there I go between Vons and Ralphs Vons has some things that Ralphsu doesnt And Ralphs has somethings that Vons doesnt!

Vons has my favorite Ice cream and my favorite rice pudding. They also have a wide assortment of salads in the deli. The also make their own croissants, cookies,pies and other treats. My favorite is ambrosia fruit salad. Great meat loaf too.

Oh yeah...Vons...I forgot about that place. But yeah I like it. Its nice but not particularly busy. Its akin to a supermarket getaway. You wont feel crowded here. There are customers...you wont feel like like someones breathing down your back. In a few words...room to move. = )

Large parking lot, always a spot. Carts available at the entrance, shopping baskets too, disinfecting wipes available at the entrance as well. Lots of specials and online coupons. Produce is great and the meat is good quality too. We love when the ranchera is on sale. Friendly and helpful employees. Havent run into any situation for complaints so overall nice grocery store.

This store is well-located and easily accessible, but still far enough off the main stretch heading toward the beach that it is fairly quiet and frequented mostly by locals from the surrounding neighborhood. It gets the usual after-work rush from about 6-7 PM, but otherwise tends to be a quick checkout.

I had an enjoyable experience at Vons on 17th street, my cashier was Nora, and she was cheerfully pleasant, organized, and knowledgeable. The store was spotless, including the fresh produce, which I found to be equally orderly and inviting so kudos to the store manager as well. Overall, I highly recommend this particular Vons store to all of my family and friends.

I like their specials, very nice. But this morning as I was watching the older guy who was putting containers of fruits and vegetables on shelves not wearing his MASK. I approached him and very nicely mentioned to him about his MASK. He simply looked at me and said I know I am not having my mask. The question is if hes sick and breathing on the products hes transferring it to many people. I am sure that theyre not going to remove the stuff from the shelves. I did complain.

Great staff of checkers at this Vons on 17th St. Knowledgeable, friendly & efficient team. Some of the OGs checkers Theresia, Heather, Nora, Keith, Nicole are so friendly and super efficient. The produce department is also great and always try to keep their produce in stock. Im just really impressed with how friendly and nice the staff are, especially with all the things thats been happening today in 2020. Appreciate all the hard work and remember that the staff are all people too. Give them the respect and love for all the hard work and dedication they do!

Is this the nicest Vons in Orange County? Even the shopping carts feel expensive. I asked a lady for help and she literally dashed all throughout the store to find me what I needed so that I didnt have to be inconvenienced. Grade A+ customer service. Im not used to shopping in Newport Beach/Coasta Mesa (the border of both cities) but this was what shopping is all about. Safe, clean, the avocados were exactly right, the produce was on point, and I only wish that I could shop here all the time but unfortunately, Im visiting on vacation.One thing they need to add are the Olé Kito friendly tortillas. They didnt have them. The cost for items is pretty high, but then you can get a huge thing of strawberries on sale for $3. It just depends.

Almost every employee there is grumpy and miserable. The only person that ever talks in a pleasant way is the butcher with all the tattoos but I havent seen him there in awhile. Today I took a heavy item out of my cart to hand to the cashier so they wouldnt have to come around and get it out of my cart and he said I dont know what youre going to do with that. Seriously? If you all hate your jobs, quit and find something else that suits you and let more deserving people have the job.

Never Enough Checkers at this store now I used to love Vons and theres a huge history in my family of grocery workers that go back into the original Vons before it became a huge conglomerate of what it is today and unfortunately most of the grocery stores have forgotten that people are more than just dollar signs at any rate everything that I find there is good but theres never enough Checkers even if you only have a few items they have few Checkers and its very frustrating to stand there waiting and waiting for them to get another check or call down to the front and several times I go up and ask them would you call for more help which is a customer I shouldnt have to do at any rate its a clean store the Delhi leaves a lot to be desired as they let a lot of food I went up to get something I wanted and asked how old it was and the deli manager replied 3 hours and I said dont you think thats a little old? And he said well will refresh it and when I waited for it to be refreshed I dont know if it was really refreshed or not because what I got was just as hard and tough as what looked to be 3 hours old that was already in their container out for purchase. So they need a lot of help in that Deli. Very cute grocery stores I should add have top-of-the-line delis there grocery store Deli is not a dedicated out Deli so you really cant fault them for not being an actual deli style deli.

Ive been shopping at this Vons store for over 20 years and they normally very efficient and fast. most of the employees are long term employees and great! however today manager LoraALLOWED a line TO forms 6 or 8 people long. SHE takes the 1st person allows my larger Basket to move over as she opens a New register. Then when I get to the registrar Says I have too many items in my basket.The line that I had been in however everyone had moved forward.I hope the store gets back-to the way it had been for the. Ive only managed to show up here because they are open until 1 am.My hours are extremely odd so remembering Im hungry and havent eaten is usually between 11 and 1 am. So extra points for staying open Vons.Now my waistline has a fighting chance. Beautiful store, convenient location. The weekly specials are really good. Twice I was eating steak for a week @ $4.88 a pound.

Edward needs counseling on basic customer service. My friend and I were going through his line somewhere between 2pm and 3pm. My friend had a coupon that he forgot to give Edward and when I reminded him Edward said its too late . Extremely arrogant and and rude. I told him I wanted to see a manager and what I received was attitude. He reluctantly gave my friend his money back and asked me if I had a problem. I told him I certainly did. I had never witnessed such a rude and arrogant attitude. I will not return to this Vons again. I will be talking to the main office.

Manager followed my roommate i around and said rude things because we went to trader Joes first and had to bring our bags in with us as we dont have a car. Offered to let the manager search my bags because he was making rude comments again about why did we bring our trader Joes with us.. when i offered him to search my bags he told me its ok we already had people watching you.. We didnt have to shop at vons too but we wanted to. This shouldve been handled way differently.

This is my go to market. I don’t get out much so I appreciate the nuances of customer service. Heather and Theresia are the best and you’ll understand why if they assist in checking you out.I’ve scoped out the area and Ralph’s, Gelson’s, Stater’s, and Mother’s aren’t as wholesomely consistent in quality as I’ve had here.It nice to have a good go-to market.

This is my neighborhood Vons, and the people that work there super-friendly and helped me out a bunch. But I went there to use my WIC checks as one of the approved places instead of going to Target and they had no WIC labels at all, several of my items at checkout got rejected despite being on the available with products list. This is one of a couple stores in the area that does not label WIC items and I have to guess and get rejected at the counter, as a customer your statement to me is that you do not want me there and I most likely wont come back to shop here again.

Vons supermarket is quick and easy place to get your groceries. This Vons has a deli, to get fresh cold cuts for sandwiches. The deli also prepares fried chicken daily. While picking up your fried chicken dont forget to get some macaroni and potato salad to go along with your chicken. Made fresh daily in the deli is also soup. They usually make four different types of soup.

We have been shopping at this VONS since 2015, a lot more frequently in the past year. The front staff at this VONS have been great--efficient, pleasant, and helpful--especially in the past few months.The store seems pretty popular; sometimes the store runs out of important sale items (ike Jennie-O ground turkey). However, I have never had any problems requesting or redeeming a raincheck.This store is a good size, and even if its not as large as some other stores the product selection is pretty good. The only sections that I have experienced to be lacking are asian foods and specialty produce.

Best grocery store in the Newport height area of costa mesa. It has gone down hill in a few annoying ways since they got bought out by Albertsons a while back and as a consequence Ive inky given them four stars- wish I could rate like four and a third or something. The staff in general seem to be better at this location than others as well. Their beer soectiin has decreased in recent months that which is kind of a bummer too. But i still shooting at to more than any other store in my area though I do shop at the Ralphs 2 blocks away alot more now do to prices being better on certain things now.

This Vons has a decent selection, like they all do. However, they removed self checkout and generally have two lanes open max. Plan on standing in line for a while. The goateed manager is generally miserable. Prices can fluctuate wildly.
