First time at this store. Very clean and well stocked, items arrangement is weird though-was looking for shower gel and soap and they usually are next to shampoos and other personal hygiene products, kept looking and walked around the isle twice, and they’re in the pharmacy section! Really? Doesn’t make any sense. Got a bit annoyed to be honest.The cashier was very polite, friendly and attentive so was the lady bagging the items. Great service

I shop at this location weekly but after today will not. Memorial Day weekend and the meat department did not want to assist me. I asked for bacon, one associate was going to check the back but another man told me to check the prepackaged bacon that was not only brownung but not the amount I needed. Another location got my business today and will continue to get it.

I’ve ordered grocery pickup three times and two of those times I was disappointed. One order they charged me for a product and didn’t give it to me and the other time they gave me rotten fruit. Both times I called to report the incident and was told I have to come back and go into the store to receive any help which defeats the entire purpose! I ordered pickup so I wouldn’t have to come into the store!

This happened several years ago but it still has a bad taste in my mouth. I used the Wells Fargo ATM to get some money, then proceeded to put $5 in the Lotto machine. Unfortunately, the machine ate the money so I told one of the Vons employees. I think she was an asst manager and tried to retrieve the cash. Unfortunately, she was not able to find the $5 bill. She handed me the cash but I overheard her comment to the other employees stating thats a fast way to make a Buck. Ive always been honest, never shoplifted or stole anything so to hear that comment really bothers me to this day. Never been back to that place. I find it expensive and majority of employees are rude, very slow workers even at a different location. Nothing good to say!

Tracy Carr (5 Stars) is the best employees at this store, my wife mentioned to him that the items on her list from the just 4 u web site need to match and show the sale price, he said, no problem, he is a very nice gentleman, very courteous & professional, some of the other employees could learn from him. Thank You Mr. Tracy Carr !!😀 Vons is famous for having the WORST APP and its NOT user friendly,(one Star for their App)why do they keep changing it, the old site was way better, if its not broken dont change it.

I used to love coming to this store. The butchers are great, pharmacists are knowledgeable. But when it comes to the deli department, it needs some work. I don’t know if they need increased staffing or what? They always make it seem as if you are bothering them by asking for deli meat.

Updating my reviews: 8-15-2022Vons added self check out services their customer service improved. They improved and upgraded the store layout.The prices are $$but I guess everywhere else is the same nowadays. I will rate with 5 stars it came a long way.lines, not enough cashiers, place, prices vary. Again during rush hour time out of 9 registers they had only 3 registers open,long lines more than 8 customers in each line. I had to put my stuff away and went to Rite Aid. Vons has by far the worst customer service ever, mind you it is not the cashiers or clerks, But it is the management who run the whole Vons !!!dont they know they need to hire more people if they want to stay in business??? I would rather go out of my way and go to Ralphs for sure one of the best service.

This is the Best Vons! Fresh flowers and a bakery that boasts ample selection of cakes if you forgot to order a celebration cake in advance. Friendly employees just extremely overcrowded by the high school when it lets out. Parking is impossible, rude kids in lot and store. I wod say stay away from 2:30 to 4 pm. Parents are ridiculous how they pick up their students.

Vons is our go to for shopping 🛍 ☺. Only the Otay Lakes location. Store is always clean and well stocked. Employees are super nice and some know me and greet me. The specials are worth a trip. $5 Friday has some great buys. I live in Bonita but shop the Otay location. The Bonita store is small and limited supply on items. Some Employees have been rude in the past. Store doesnt seem as clean. Stopped going to Bonita store. Always make the extra distance to Otay.

Usually stocked with everything Ive gone in for. Something quick or full groceries, they have the top brands and qualities. One of the few places to find the Duraflame Crackle fire logs (hard to find). The associates were very helpful with Western Union money transfers too. Altogether a great place to shop.

This place is OK for quick trips, especially non-perishables. Always look at the expiration date - Ive come home more than once with expired milk. Also, if youre going for specific produce, go somewhere else. Ive had to forgo my kidsfavorite snacks simply because they were completely out or almost expiring. Im giving 3 stars because this place is conveniently located, clean, and rarely busy.

This is one of my favorite Vons locations because of its customer service and easy accessibility. My wife loves to come here and shop for groceries and meats. I enjoy coming here and looking at their wine deals. I like to utilize the 10% off discount when you buy 6 bottles because of the great wine selection in this location. Also they carry the Honeycrisp apple here and it is my absolute favorite.

Wouldve put 1 star because this has happened twice now, but I was refunded last time, so i give 2 stars. Last visit I saw 1 molded produce throughout organic section so bought Naval Oranges in non-organic. Cut them open next day only to find all the oranges were molded on the inside and 2 started molding on the outside. Took them back and got refunded. While picking new oranges saw more molded oranges and let a worker know. He told me the organics are always molded. What kind of response is that? Then only removed the 1 molded fruit i handed him. I decided never to buy produce there again, but my wife decided to buy some bananas. When I looked at it the next day, you can clearly see it had been split open at some point to where bugs were feeding on it, yet still put on the shelf for us to buy. Done with this Vons, theres too many other better options only a rock throw away, literally down the block.

I am rating Vons right now because of the excellent service I received yesterday. I was there to purchase the Bone-in Ribeye steaks that they had on special. I went through self serve and after I swiped my card I noticed that I did not get the full discount. A very nice lady patiently helped me out. I did not quite catch her name because it was rather unique - Dijanera. She informed me that I needed the coupon on the Vons app added to my card. She assisted me with the app and got me the extra discount.

I really hate going into this store, but I live only 400 yards away, so sometimes its just convenient (but not enjoyable). The personnel are totally RUDE, especially at the customer service counter (go figure!). If you have to go here dont bother asking the staff any questions unless you like curt, snappy responses.

Curbside shopping is convenient and safer. That said, the new risk is getting food with expiration dates in 3 days. Like a dozen really expensive organic eggs. And limp celery. I dont know that Ill be able to use them all. At a time like this food wastage is a terrible thing.

Not a great experience. This Vons does not clean their carts nor they ensure to have wipes for the customers to use. They dont provide hand sanitizer either. The credit card keypad I used was covered with a plastic that already looked very dirty. I inquired why they didnt wiped down the keypad, the cashier said they did. I stood there packing my groceries and 3 customers used the keypad after me and it was never cleaned. Do not recommend shopping here, Ralphs (Sunbow near Sharp Hospital) has better preventive measures to keep their customers safe.

Always long lines at checkout. No self checkout like the one by In-N-Out. Surly employees who act like theyre doing you a favor (esp. at service deli). Fried Chicken in service deli looks like it came from the graveyard. I avoid this store even though its closest to me and drive down the street to the much better one near In-N-Out. Returned today (2 mos later) & tried to buy a salmon filet. I asked the butcher to remove the skin & he said he didnt know how. JEEEZ - this place still sucks . . . I left without buying anything.
