The cashiers and clerks are friendly, helpful and upbeat. They even go out of their way to help you save money and your purchases. This place is my go to store.

They hide lower prices behind installing an app... So they can track and sell information about your purchases to other companies that also have your advertising id. I do not want to support this, and will vote with my wallet to shop elsewhere

I went to Vons to get a birthday cake and somethings and the overall visit to get what I needed was great. What wasnt great was the Cashier named Sarah. When she was ringing up our items she had an attitude, looking like she didnt like her job. Then when she was giving me my total she asked me how much I gave her...as a retail worker myself I know one of my duties is to count the amount Im given to make sure I get the proper amount incase I receive too much or to little. I think maybe the staff should know how to count money or receive special training if they do not know. Im glad Im an honest person but I feel maybe training is important and also to serve with a good attitude to keep customers

I used to buy small packages of fresh ginger from the deli here. Apparently they dont sell it that way anymore so I walked up and asked the sushi chef if they had any fresh ginger, she looked me dead in the face and said no. well there was a whole gallon box sitting right in front of her as she was preparing sushi! I said whats that? she said yeah thats for the sushi. I said so you dont sell it separately any longer? and she said no. you know the least she couldve done was give me a freaking sample how effing rude! I will never shop there ever ever again and I will tell my friends not to. I needed that ginger for my sick friend .

A few times Ive been there, theres always been plenty of parking including handicapped included.Parking lot is well lighted.There ar many other satellites stores there would be of interest to most people.Everything from a donut shop to a pizza store. I plan to try all of them, but I can tell you for sure the donuts are good at the donut shop.

I ordered a birthday cake here for a party. They showed me a cake from the book and told me it going to be $37.99. When I picked up the cake, they told me it was $49.99. The bakery failed to tell me they charged for a picture on the cake and filling in the middle of the cake. The cake had a line down the middle like they pushed to cakes together. The color was very dull. It was not worth $50. I will never order another cake from Vons. The manager told me we charge for everything on the cake and gave me $3.00 off.

I never post here, but tonight was different. I could not see the name of the cashier, but she was one of the rudest cashiersI have ever come across. She obviously had a bad day. Please bring back your normall cahier that I run into on the night crew then you will get a 5 star. If I see the cashier that was there tonight I will walk out.

Went in for Christmas snacks and light grocery shopping. Smart & Final was cheaper on snacks in every case. However, Vons had a great selection of bakery goods and was well stocked with good looking vegetables. I found everything I needed, although prices were higher than what I was used to.

I placed an order on October 19th and your delivery person took it to the wrong house I never received the order and I was told I would be refunded asap to this day I still don’t have my money I have called the store several times as well as chats to no avail ! I don’t know whats wrong with this store, its almost every week they are out of something, like they don’t order enough stock of goods. I go here for the convenience of it being close by but every time they are out of something! Whether its bread, juice, condiments, eggs, meat, like what is going on?! Im going to the other store they seem better stocked than this one. 👎🏼

Very professional cashiers. Nice wide aisles makes it easy to see products .My Mom loves the flower shop at entrance. Stater Bros. are you listening? You guys need to up your game. Firing everyone at the Carnelian & Baseline store & bringing in new inexperienced cashiers is not the answer. Also, letting that really friendly, always upbeat manager from a couple years ago quit was wrong & uncalled for. He brought customers in the store. I couldnt wait to talk baseball with him & my Mom really liked him. You need to keep the people that genuinely enjoy interacting with the customers, not the newbies that are polite just to be polite.

Personally I do pay an extra $2 - $7 per trip then I pay at Ralphs.*** Im back in the area after 2 years. This location on Haven has improved, somewhat. It was 1 week ago. As Im checking out I observed a rather tall floor manager. I didnt interact with him. I apologize for this 2nd review. Unfortunately why he caught my eye was due to his physical presentation. Unshaven. Had a stripped shirt, half tucked in. Definitely needed to shave. Was just bobbing around from checker to checker laughing and making a spectacular of himself. ZERO interaction with customers. A real deterrent to go back.

Cashiers, managers and box/bag persons are extremely friendly and willing to help with anything you have questions about. They go above and beyond the call of duty when needed. Store is always clean and well stocked. Its always a very pleasant trip especially when grocery shopping is not usually a pleasant chore but unfortunately its needed. So, if youre looking to change up your usual boring weekly grocery trip to never dull trip, this is where you should try next.

Fairly expansive store, with many smaller, specialty areas, featuring fresh juice and coffee. Theres Arrowhead Credit Union, branch closed for months. Store carries a lot of merchandise besides food, which requires a lot of Sq footage, making a simple trip to pick up a few things difficult, at times.Parking lot and surrounding areas need enhanced lighting. Have noticed more homeless in the later evening hours.

I particularly like Vons for the quality of their pastries. The quality for certain pastries can not be found at Walmart, and for that reason Vons has a reputation for having the best quality of any food chain. Vons has an entire department dedicated to pastries. Vons actually has a bakery in the store with pastries shifts. I have never been disappointed with the quality at Vons.

Been shopping here for 11 years. Great convenient location. Checkers are always friendly. I can get in and out of there quickly especially compared to Stater Bros. If this Vons is busy they always open more checkstands so you dont stand in line forever. You can always find a reasonably close parking spot too. Not so at most Stater Bros.

Rude Employees speak Spanish to each other without consideration to others ! Employees are rude to customers, especially the elderly that are not Hispanic . I’ve witnessed the employees mistreat defenseless elderly customers. The employees manipulate store policies according to how they feel towards the customer. If they like you then they will give you cash back on a return if not then they put it on a store credit. They lack professionalism in quality customer service. Vons has changed over the years from good customer service to low quality. My neighbors also feel the same.

The customer service at this store is subpar. I have had experiences where I have been ignored, literally standing at the meat counter without being acknowledged, no greeting at check out and not having all of my items bagged; just left sitting at the end of the check stand next to the bag, while the checker moved on to the next customer. Note to self...do not shop here! There are many options in the area that would appreciate my business.

Vons has really gone downhill. The prices are outrageous, the help doesnt seem to care, and theyre not as friendly as they once were. The produce seems okay - its hit-and-miss. They have a nice organic section, but again overpriced. Ralphs at baseline and haven actually has a much nicer organic section. The meat is decent, but again overpriced the only way you get a deal was if you get something on sale. everything else is overpriced as well. You need to lower your prices in this economy that we have. People cant afford to pay so much money for food. Rent is sky high and food is rising to the point that you cant afford to shop at just one store anymore. Stop insulting people with your prices. Sadly, your corporate office probably wont care about this review. Since Albertsons purchased Vons, I venture to guess that theres something wrong with your business model. Wake up and smell reality!

I normally order cakes from this bakery but the last one I ordered was awful!! The cake was incased with icing so much that it overpowered the whole thing. The bad thing about this is that it was my Birthday cake and nobody ate any. Kind of ruined the end to my day. When you pay $25 plus for a cake you should get a better product.

My husband, who was with the company for almost 20 years, was terminated last Friday. This is especially terrible timing, as our family of 3 is about to become 4 in just 4 weeks- losing our health insurance just 2 weeks prior to my delivery is the worse thing possible to happen, let alone losing our single income. He always stayed hours overtime to clean because of their lack of help in the deli and instead of hiring more workers to eliminate this problem of overtime, they let my husband go.
