Good bread section along with gluten free options avaliable here and also in the frezzer section. I also liked this Vons because its in a good location with a lot of options avaliable. Most of the gluten free products will be in the freezer aisle.

I am giving the two stars because this is not usually the experience I have at Vons. My family and I are seriously addicted to the carrot cake from the bakery I tried to order one only to be told that they were not accepting any orders this weekend but no worries they have plenty in the case come on in. 3 hours later there were two quarter sheet carrot cakes left at 33.00 okay no problem like I said its a real addiction. Got it home and it was not the usual cream cheese frosting that they put on this cake but whipped cream. Has any carrot cake loving person will tell you if its not cream cheese frosting its not carrot cake. I called back to tell them of my dissatisfaction and hopefully tomorrow Ricardo promises me it will be right. If you have never had their carrot cake give it a try just check your frosting before you leave.

Can get busy late night on weekends but overall great produce and fresh goods. The gentlemen named Junior who stocks produce is super friendly and knowledgeable. He told me what was in season and what was not. This location was clean and organized.

I had Starbucks this morning and I asked for a croissant and this tall light skin girl gave me a (chocolate croissant) mind you I hadn’t checked it yet. Good thing I checked before I got to my car since I was going to eat it already and I came to discover that it was a chocolate croissant when I NEVER said chocolate!!!! So I went back and his other short girl helped me and she was just going to exchange it and not give me my $.30 back for the price difference. I don’t understand how somebody wouldn’t give me the difference because if I didn’t have those $.30, then Starbucks wouldn’t just give me a go pass for being short $.30. Not only did it did I have to wait about five minutes, but I didn’t get any card for a free pastry Or drink for the inconvenience thanks Starbucks I won’t be back here again.

I came here to grab some liquor, hamburger buns, and some cheese. I found everything I needed with ease. The store was clean and I can smell the fresh produce and bakery from the entrance which was nice. The cashier upon checkout was very friendly and engaged in the conversation. Seems like it carries that nice local vibe atmosphere.

Always clean, stocked and friendly service. First time the pandemic closures started in March 2020 this was the only place I could find toilet paper and it was actually good quality. Now looks like were being placed back on purple tier November 2020 and people are cleaning out the TP isles again. So I came here, limitations are in place so people dont hoard. Was glad to see some in stock since other places were wiped out! Yeah prices are always a few higher than other places, but Ill pay lil extra to get what we need!!

I visited the seafood/ meat case tonight. The gentleman working there was knowledgeable, patient and thoughtful.I watched as he patiently explained all the cuts of beef to a customer who had many questions.I bought some fish and he took the time to wrap it and put it in a plastic bag so it would not leak on my other food.He was cheerful and personable. A great representation of excellent customer service.

Vons (currently owned by Safeway/Albertsons) is one of the most expensive standard grocery stores in southern California. Shop the sales, coupons, and ads though, and youll be ok.

Yesterday I went and purchased a cake from the bakery, I was greeted by Alexis with such a nice welcoming and friendly approach. She was extremely kind, and answered all my questions regarding the cakes that were available. That was the one of the first times I was greeted with such kindness while shopping at this bakery. Alexia, thank you. You have no idea how such a small gesture could make someone’s day.

I made an order for a specialty cake at this bakery two days before pickup. The label looked incorrect but I confirmed it with the bakery manager she said my order was correct. Took it home and not until I cut into the cake could I see that they lied to me and they did do it incorrectly. What do I do now??? I cant get it refunded because it was for a birthday cake, and it was cut into and eaten. Im just screwed out of my money that I paid extra for and the party was a bust because a cake was wrong!!!

The outside of this store is not clean, and of course prices are way too high, and its a little bit depressed, but generally, if you have money, you can find what you want here. Produce is my thing. They have nice produce.. I cant afford their meat. The Bakery is on the opposite side of the store from their Starbucks. Bad planning. Vons bakery things never appeal to me anyway. Just sayin. The employees are not very outwardly friendly. It makes me think theyre not happy and not well trained/ managed. That yellow bumpy thing in the sidewalk out front is wrinkled. Its a trip hazard/ accident waiting to happen. It needs to be replaced. Brainstorm! Have someone hose off the porch every morning. Especially the benches. This is your entrance! Its makes a difference to your shoppers if they enter through a pretty clean porch with no urine smell, no dirt, and happy plants growing in front.Why arent the employees friendly?Anyway, its a nicer shopping experience than Walmart.

Went by on a Saturday morning and was informed -- AFTER I was halfway checked out -- that they were completely out of bags.I was given two options: buy a bunch of $2 bags for my groceries, or carry them all out loose. Good info to have AFTER spending my time here shopping and waiting in line.How, in the year of our lord 2022, does a major grocery outlet NOT have bags for customer use? What is management even doing?This Vons is easily the dirtiest in Oxnard (Victoria is far nicer), so it seems pretty clear theyre inept or indifferent. Steer clear if possible.

I want to congratulate this store. Clean, well stocked & the employees are AWESOME! Their bakery, deli, produce, meat dept. & of course Starbucks are all on point. Please folks let me carry on about their fried chicken 😆 For many yrs. I bought Albertsons fried chicken for gatherings, parties or the kids just wanted chicken for dinner but loosing our Albertsons I could never find that same flavor fr Vons locations BUT TODAY WAS THE DAY!! Every piece was perfect, we all enjoyed & NO, not one piece left! This is my favorite location, they have the coffee I enjoy.. but pick up is a joke! I have a arm injury and it helps me a lot to do pick up .. but this location needs to get it together! I never get any email saying that my order is ready, one I had to cancel the next day then right after they cal and say it’s ready. Should have been the day before, then I have money tied up for a couple days till I get it back.. now my order is being picked up the next day I just don’t understand what’s going on at this location. When I do it anywhere else it’s ready early so idk….

I was pleasantly surprised to find sanitizer wipes on their shelves. Not many but some to purchase. A little pricey but cheaper than Amazon.. 3 tubs at 24.00 compared to 75.00 plus shipping. 😳 Also found the half and half I love, land of lakes. Fabulous. Not too busy on a Saturday mid morning. The bathroom there is really unsanitary. It smells like a urine soaked floor. As if they dont use cleaning products. And there is no trash can. It can be easily remedied if their standards of cleanings were higher and manager and employees werent so lazy. How can a bathroom of all places be in that shape especially in a pandemic? Very unsettling.

When you come to this grocery store make sure to always look at the expectation date on your produce, groceries and any items for that mater. They are always selling expired items and/or about to expire items. Its definitely not worth coming here unless youre in the area and need something for that day only. Other than that I would rather go to Walmart, or Aldis around the corner, or even Smart & Final down the street.

Check out was satisfactory. But we rang the bell for the meat dept. 3 times. And still had to go to the service desk where they (two people) barely noticed me after saying excuse me 4 times. It wasnt loud in there at all either. I finally raised my voice and finally got them to call someone for meat department service. By then there were at least 4 people wanting meat department service.

Recently the store had been out of wack a bit due to the virus. Unfortunately many shoppers here do not wear masks and just are not the people you want to be shopping in the same store with currently. Find a better store that enforces a mask policy. Plus this store is near a hospital, so I would hope they took some precautions.

Vons is always a to go store with fresh options. It does have a high price range than other stores but most of the time it is worth it. The fresh made cakes you can order for birthdays, parties, etc. from the bakery are delicious, especially with fresh strawberries. The fresh bagels are also delicious. Cant go wrong with Vons.

This is on behalf of my fiance. This location has an associate who works during noon, that follows her around and harasses her as she stated. Constantly hitting on her to the point that she is choosing to avoid this location all together. I advised her to notify management, but she didnt feel comfortable doing so. I would suggest a refresher for your team and remind them where this behavior can lead them and the company. Ladies, some may enjoy the attention, she did not and will no longer be a shopper here.

Best all-around grocery store in the area!Excellent produce section and full-service butcher who will cut your steaks to order (during the butcher-dept hours).They also have a full pharmacy, bakery and deli. The deli even has a Sushi-Chef who comes in and prepares their sushi daily, AS YOU WATCH! For a grocery store, I think thats awesome!Pro-Tip: Starbucks is right inside the left-side entrance. Stop and grab a beverage and really make your shopping more enjoyable!

I love the Vons in Camarillo the best because they have the best sushi with ping and toaw. But all Vons are good. Ive shopped at a lot of different grocery stores the Whole Foods the sprouts the trader Joes the Aldi the Food Mart and honestly compared to Vons, well theres no comparison. Vons might cost a little more but the place is clean the employees are friendly I feel safe there their produce is the best besides the roadside stands.

When the next time you are in stop by the deli department. Jerry has been with Vons a very long time and still practices great customer service. He treats you as if he owns his own deli shop and if he a prepares a sandwich for you watch out. The Vons in Oxnard was GREAT today. I have a Bad ear infection and I saw an Urgent Care close to my house. The doctor gave me a prescription. The Vons here in Ventura does not except VA but the Vons in Oxnard does. Makes NO since to me they are both Vons. The guy at the counter ask me for a piece of paper I did not have. One of the ladies told him to run something through the computer and he asked me for my as number and he said it went through. I THANKED the lady who told him what to do. I cant even eat cause it hurts so BAD.

Deli time for a Build Your Own Sandwich. Sean didnt help me today but I had to let people know what a great sandwich maker he is. Lots of love put into your food. He is why I came back today. FAKE MONEY! The STARBUCKS inside this place gives fake money. Thanksgiving afternoon a customer received fake money from the cashier working on that night shift! I saw how bad they treated the customer. How in the world does the manager from Vons expected the customer to know better about the fake change received if the cashier did not even knew she received fake money from an early swindler.Anyways, be careful and check your one dollars too! On the other hand, I noticed I’m not the only one whom is being follow by a guy whom works in the noon shift. Really awkward, asking me personal questions. That’s one, and a other associate at the register whom gives awkward looks; how creepy.. you know when someone treats you with respect and when not..

Recently over the Labor Day holiday weekend I went into purchase ribeye steaks on sale. Experience quite interesting, there were none out in the prepackaged area. I rang the counter service bell and the service attendant appeared bothered. I asked for ribeye steaks on sale and there only one in the counter case. So he proceeded to unpack more steaks and then I asked if I could see the steaks for marbling and his response was quite interesting and rude. He stated you get what you get and didnt show me the steaks. Definitely didnt attend Vons customer service training, 1st ever experience of this kind.

Placed a order for my graduates cake and the decorator decided to put her own colors for the cake boarders, the colors are red n blk and they put white n red. When I picked up the cake I had to take it, no choice no decorator in the bakery by that time the clerk said. Great selection of foods but since Albertsons bought them their prices have gotten insane. I go for the pharmacy. I can drive to Walmart in the same shopping complex and pay a lot less for identical items. It just takes forever to check out at Walmart but for the savings is worth it. Vons really is that much more expensive. On 200b dollars worth of groceries from Vons I would say you could get the same at Walmart for 150 to 175. Thats a massive difference. Vons had 12 packs of soda for nearly 8 dollars to Walmart 4.80 insane.

He went above and beyond and so did the young man that has a hearing impairment that helped me with the styrofoam ice chests. I am having a Fathers Day Hot Dog Picnic for the homeless on Saturday at the beach across from In-and-Out and they were such a blessing. Josh D. opened a lane for me and he didnt have to do that. Unlike Wal-Mart in the same shopping center. Very unfriendly.
