Came here for a Doordash order in the floral department. Took me over 20 minutes to get here from when I received the order. Got here, nothing. Nobody working over here. Went to Customer Service, nobody was there. A cashier asked me if I needed help. Im still waiting and havent gotten my order. Aside from the cashier, these people are incredibly incompetent.

These employees, well the ladys up in the front anyway, are always so rude and have the worst look in thier faces. One of your employees thinks shes loss prevention and loves to follow customers around all the time.. I only shop here when I absolutely must... Otherwise Id rather not step foot in this store. Heres a tip for all the sour faces up front, If you hate your job and you hate dealing with the public so much, go get another job that you enjoy! Its simple..

Usually I dont shop at Vons, but I did it today, Vons at Felicita (Escondido). Im very disappointed at the management because there was only 1 open live cashier to help all of us to pay. There were more than 5 senior citizens waiting in line!!! I complaint with the cashier and he mentioned the other ONE cashier, was at lunch time! Really???? Vons wants the customers to use their self serve cashiers, but they totally disrespect all of us seniors bc we need help and it is very difficult to use the self serve cashiers to imput the codes and weights of veggies and fruits.I recommend us all to go to Trader Joes, Jimbos or others that respect us.

I had a very embarrassing and bit humiliating experience, while I take part of the blame too the cash register employee didnt need to be rude. I sometimes get confused on using the deals that are on the app and there was a 10 for 10 deal, I got my items and at checkout I asked the employee if the deal was applied, he said no, you needed to clipped it on the app in order to make it work I asked if I could still use it (havent paid just yet), employee mentioned that he would need to cancel the whole transaction and start again, a bit embarrassed I asked if we could proceed as it was one of the reason I went shopping there. At that moment the employee got very upset and make sure people around us knew, he asked for help with other employees and told them I did not use the coupon and needed to cancel the transaction in a very frustrated voice, at one point I told him that I could change lanes if he wanted me too, he replied no is ok. It was not really a pleasant experience I did apologize at the end but I left feeling very humiliated. I was in no way rude to the employee and kept it very polite.

I would give this location zero stars if I could. Always people with some form of mental illness lurking outside the doors and sometimes in the store as well. Moldy food everywhere in the produce section. Overpriced items on every isle. Poor customer service if you need to talk to staff. Overall avoid this location like the plague.

Both butchers take their hour lunch at the SAME TIME, so many customers have to wait for 60 to 90 minutes while they both have their lunch at the exact same time instead of staggering it so that people can get the cuts of meat they need without just standing around waiting indefinitely. Very disappointing, very inefficient, a total failure of management.

Shop here often as only few miles from our house. Have always found it very clean with all shelves and counters very neatly stocked. Any time asked staff for location of items they always walk me to the item which really helps. Deli section is great and always had great service. Have special ordered steaks, kabobs, seafood items and never been disappointed. Only issue is pricing is a bit on the high side.

The manager that works in the evenings/nights has now on more than one occasion been very rude. Having been a customer for over 20 years, I had enjoyed shopping there up until the past 6 months. On a positive note, if not for the terrible customer service I may not have discovered how nice Ralphs is to shop at.

I like this Vons, its nicely stocked and always clean and the staff are wonderful. Im only giving it three stars though because its insanely expensive comparatively to other Vons so I make a point to avoid it. If Im going to spend that much money I might as well go across the street to Major market who actually have the specialty product to backup their prices. The Vons gas station though is amazing! It does get busy but they have consistently some of the cheapest gas in town.

Same as a Safeway. The staff at this Vons did not greet me. I usually get a happy greeting from other sister stores (usually a Safeway, my area majority). However the staff did ask if I found everything. I had said good morning to two employees before getting into a check out line. I felt comfortable in knowing the products and most of their locations were predictable. I increased my rating because of the call out by Vons, I am feeling better that they are looking for more of a customer relationship when this is done. The store was clean but the carts were a bit of a mess. One of the items first seen. They did have wipes ready to go. 😃 I would return to this store.

This store is very unorganized. There are always lines down the aisles because they dont open enough registers during busiest times. It takes a long time to find items because their signs do not match whats in the aisle. Theres a sign saying there are paper towels on aisle 8, but theyre actually on a different aisle. Ridiculous. Update your store!

Quality inventory, well stocked. Their deli and bakery is among my favorites. They would get at least 4 stars if they actually provided enough human cashiers to meet customer traffic. How many times have I been in the checkout line 5-10 people deep with only one cashier working. Self checkout is as crowded, even slower, and cant be used when I buy beer wine, or spirits.

Grabbed a late lunch there today. Store clean, deli guy was very nice and polite. Did self check out as I was walking out I got the look up and down from the girl over looking that dept. Arms crossed no smile just blank stare.. I am clearing out a storage unit near by, so no make up. In a sweatshirt, yoga slacks and flipflops.. I think I look fine. But this used to be my neighborhood store when it finally opened from a long delay from the housing crash.

This Vons location keeps going downhill and I blame management. This store is only half stocked and is always missing tons of common products which they blame on supply issues. I have gone to other Vons locations in other cities like Carlsbad and Carmel Mt. and all of them are fully stocked all of the time so supply issues are not the problem, it is Managements incompetence that is the problem. I hope they get a new manager soon to address the issues going on there or the store is going under for sure. They are all out of normal products for weeks at a time and have no full-time Baker or Deli employees or Butcher. At night they will have 1 checker at most so good luck getting out of there in a reasonable amount of time when the line backs up which it always does.

Today, new years day 2023. The store was FREEZING COLD. We did mention it to the cashiers. They said indeed it was cold they had double sweatshirt, hat and gloves in their pockets. Martha the cashier was extremely unprofessional. She gave attitude to all the customers there, and didn’t seem to want to help me when I asked for her help at the self check out. She said “well that’s why I put that there”, put what Martha? There’s no sign that said this self checkout didn’t work. Please put a sign instead of making your customers feel stupid for seeing there weren’t any food items at the self check out. If you’re the district manager at this place, please give her an early annual review. I’m extremely displeased at how many customers she mistreated yet everyone was awkwardly silent because they didn’t know what to say.

Overall this is a nice store. I’m only giving it 4 starts because there is always room to improve. There are NO complaints for this store.Improvements have been made to make checkout easier. Not only did they put in self-checkout lanes, they have also put in a system to let the person next in line know which lane to go to...sort of like the DMV but much better and faster.

I went for my COVID shot at this Vons. It went so smoothly and the man who administered the shot really did a great job. I didnt even feel it! I get really nervous with getting shots too. Very happy about that.Also, while there, my wife and I did some shopping and found this to be an overall nice store! The checker was nice and talked to us. I will be back no doubt! This was my first time in this store. Im not happy about it..The electric chairs are not that safe to be use. I seen 3 of them they had crack foot rest and one had no foot rest. The first one I used it move while its turn off that not safe getting in or out. Good thing my husband was there to hold it still. And it goes very, very slow. I had tried another one. The handle was loose and it kept shutting off. I see why no one else with a disability was using them. Dont get me wrong the staff was very polite and helpful. Will I be going back... No!!... Not till they replace ther electric chairs. I hope the ADA dont find out about this.

Just a FYI to the manager who checked me out after the first card reader didn’t work and you said out loud that it sounded like a payment problem to you. Very unprofessional to come to conclusions like that, especially when the very nice cashier repeatedly said the machine was having problems before I checked out. The manager didn’t even apologize after my card worked on the second machine. For the most part, this store is one of the best.

A very clean, good sized store. Excellent produce. The butcher helped me find an unusual product and he was great! My mom loves it is close by, being 96 years old. Store has been there over 20 years and is very well managed. I go here also find the wider inventory.

Curbside pick up always forgets an item I order 9/10 times. They say itd out of stock but when I go in, they have it on the shelves. Need better communication between workers because they always forget stuff from my list that I need and then have to waste time and go inside to find the thing I wanted for pick up. Which are literally on the shelves most of the time.

Stress free shopping, always have sales on different items. Good selection of beverages, lots of organic and healthier options. Not too crowded so you wont fight long lines at checkout. To go warm and cold food areas, Starbucks inside. Produce is fresh but may not be the lowest price. My go to store if I need to get something quickly.

Ive been coming to this Vons location for the past 3+ years since its the closest to my house. I always receive great customer service here. Today in particular, a nice gentleman offered to assist me when it was clear that I couldnt find what I was looking for. Although he was busy stocking merchandise, he took the time to point me in the right direction. I was looking for bananas and all the bananas were all yellow. He was kind enough to offer to get me green bananas from the back if I wanted some. This is the kind of customer service that I keep going back for! I believe his name was Josh and employees like him are the ones that make customers very happy.

I do a lot of pro bono shopping for senior citizens Monday through Friday. Im always the first person in your door at 6 a.m..The night crew are in the process of getting off and yet they take the time to help you look for a product. I live in a condo very close to your Vons. I shop at your store two to three times a day. From your produce department. To the bakery.To deli.and your meat department.Always fresh with product. Your cashiers always ask did you find everything that youre looking? Your manager Michael.Is a very positive role model throughout the store. Vocabulary of outstanding, awesome, great. Superlative customer service from the time your store opens until closing. Even your manager at your gas station came in through the entryway.Where the flower department is.Someone had tipped over a bucket full of water from a flowers stan.The floor had a large water spill.Immediately went to the back of the store and mopped the excessive water which could have caused an accident. I believe his name was Jose.I mention this because it will be three Decembers ago where my head hit the floor and I have a severe head concussion which caused many other health issues that I live with on a day-to-day basis So he should be commended for that. Your store is my favorite place to shop.

Half the staff are rude and half the staff are complacent. This Vons/Albertsons is the worst in the area. They are continually out of stock on many items. The last time I went in, the meat dept was out of an item that was on sale (in and of itself isnt bad because I get that people but sale items). The problem was, they were out the day the sale started. And when asked about it, they snapped at me. Literally here was my question. Are you guys out of the new york steaks? If so do you happen to know when more will come in? The response I got back was well theres none on the shelves right? So then no, we dont have any. And I dont know when theyll be in. Used curbside pickup for first time on 3/18. Used a $20off first order offer of $75 or more and the vons delivery app seemed to limit what items could be ordered. Prices seemed to inflated but could select diacounts and got reward points. Used credit card within app for no contact pickup. They had 6 reserved spots in front for pickup. Took 10 minutes at 2pm to get items. Receipt showed what items were subed and which where unavailable. Good option if not vaccinated yet.

This Vons is not very good for some reason. The lines are long and it seems like the customers are never happy. Its probably a management issue and not the cashiers fault. Our cashier was dealing with a customer who kept asking how much merchandise was and everyone in line was getting irritated. We asked our cashier politely how her day was and she seemed cheerful. The man after us decided to take it out on her and was very upset.Hopefully they (management) gets better at this Vons.

I didnt go through the store. I was trying to pick up a one time emergency fund from the wonderful bank BofA from Western Union. It was a 4 day nightmare that is still haunting me today. Inefficient line system...I had to walk across the whole store to get in their single line for the next register. Then as soon as I got to the line which no one was in anymore the cashier was done and i got called back across the store to where I originally started. I just wish I can give this vons location zero star. I honestly don’t understand why people still shops here! The employees at this location are the rudest people I have encountered my whole life. Specially when you need help with their customer service they just shut you down that customer service is close. Employees here does not smile and shows customer that they hate working there. I hope that the upper management do something about their customer service. We spent hundreds of dollars to shop here and your employees gives us a very bad experience basing with their rudeness and lack of respect to customers. I will never come back here. Stood in line for over 30 mins for wester union while the woman helps two older women send $2,800 over seas. First it was very obvious the woman behind the counter didnt know what she was doing. She even had to call and find out why she couldnt get the older womens transaction to go through. You can only send $1,200 a week. Even I knew that you cant send that much and I dont work there! So why not have a manager or someone that does know what they are doing come and take over after so long?! I finally get up there and she tells me my number isnt valid even though its a picture of the number from western union! Did she offer to call for me or try and figure it out? Maybe search my name? Or the senders name? Anything besides trying once! NO! She tells me I have to leave and get a valid number AFTER I just stood there for over 30 minutes VERY patiently. The shoping is good as are the prices. I however visit the gas station for its low priced gas$3.33 a gallon cant beat the cost ans cheerful service. Sure the station down on 5th and center city dr is only $3.31 a gallon but if you use a debit card as I do they jack you up to 3.37 a gallon. Vons dosent charge you for uding your Debit card its still only 3.33 a gallon.

Basic inventory, don’t expect to find anything beyond lettuce, onions, apples, and oranges. For herbs: only parsley. I refuse to pay $4 for a sprig of fresh Rosemary in a dirt cup. Deli is same way, no Bianco del Oro salami, Capricola, creme frache, fresh feta, fresh mozerella, Chardonnay Belevatino, no pecorino Parmesan, only one kind of Parmesan and it’s a loser brand.Plus everything is 30% higher price than in Poway! I’m so bummed we moved to Escondido. I now drive to Von’s in Poway or Carmel Valley. Those locations are clean and stocked! If you want to get price gouged and car jacked, come shop in Escondido.

The day before Fathers Day we went to Vons to buy three angel food cakes. We were told that Vons no longer stocked complete angel food cakes. We discussed our need with someone in the bakery department who told us that they would make us 3 angel food cakes and that we could pick them up the next day at 9 a.m.. a person from the bakery department came out with an order form took our name and telephone number and our order for Three Angels food cakes. The following day at 9 when we showed up to pick up the cakes we were told that they did not make angel food cakes and that the person who took the order should not have done so. The angel food cakes were for a special Fathers Day dessert.
