Very lightly staffed during the weekends. They have also resorted to locking merchandise behind cabinets in many areas creating an inconvenience not just for store staff but also for consumers who have to wait long periods of time in order to get something.One positive, lots of parking.

They got rid of cashiers after 9pm or something. Always have issues at self checkout. The lady from rocky horror picture show was not nice at all about helping me, and we totally could have done the time warp. She was Just rude and very over her job. Im sorry I made a mistake. Its not my fault you have to run self checkout or work there. Ya cant be rude when a customer is polite and apologizing to you. Its late and Im tired too.Been going here for years and the closed cashiers on a line was the end of good business.Even left my change for her.

If I could, I’d give this store 0 stars! I called to inform them that they left all the frozen items off my order. The manager didn’t apologize or anything. She just said: do you want to come back and get them? She needs to be retrained in how to deal with customers because she got extremely defensive and argumentative when I also told her that I wanted to complain about the rude lady who brought our groceries to the car, which just happened to be her also.I asked her for a refund and by this time she was so angry she said: you can call back tomorrow and have my boss process it. I mean really? Talk about childish behavior!I’m done with this store. There are too many other stores that offer grocery pick up and managers who appreciate their customers! My advice to the lady manager is to grow up, lady, and get retrained! No one has time for your pettiness this time of the evening!

Never again! The last 2 times I’ve shopped here I’ve been treated badly by the rude, racist black lady. The Hispanic guy next to me at self check out tonight agreed. I tried to get her name, but she heard me and saw me looking for her name tag and hurried to pass us. She needs to be fired. I’m going back to Ralph’s even if it’s a bit out of my way. I’ve never been treated badly at Ralph’s ever.And here’s a video of this Von’s nasty, trashy, ghetto tagged bathroom. Disgusting.

Such a great grocery store when Im around the area and need to get some stuff. I usually only come to this Vons if Im near because I have another Vons closer to my house. The parking situation here is alot better than the Vons near me because its in a big plaza. I came here with my fiancée since she wanted to get a cake and they have a lot of different options to choose from. While she was doing that, I went to the ice cream aisle to get some ice cream for my nephew. They had the Spiderman one that I know he likes so it was a win win. We paid through the self checkout area and there always a worker there to help you if you have any issues. The workers are always friendly to me when I go and the place is very clean inside.

A very well stocked, clean store. A great meat department and a very helpful and cheerful staff. The only downsides are that the parking lot can get crowded on weekends and near holidays and it can be difficult to merge into traffic when leaving.

Only reason I come here is that its close. But every single time I come here its missing something I want. Even milk. Then they have people stocking middle of the day that act like Im in their way.Update: I plan to speak to someone soon. I would like to know why baskets were eliminated. I usually dont need a cart. And today, there were no carts at the front of the store. Instead of waking back out and looking for one, I just bought one thing off my list.

Tons of problems. Tonight I went in and this arrogant cashier with long braids told me to bag my own groceries. She gave me a mean look when she even saw me coming, which makes me think I should have just gone to another register. She proceeds to cuss me out even after I did what she asked. This is not okay, and she needs to be fired. You lost my business for good. Also, the sketchy security guard stares at you too much for any kind of comforting shopping experience, tons of homeless yelling in the parking lot and looking in cars, no one Ive ever encountered working here has been polite or friendly.

We’ve tried curbside pickup at least 3-4 times, and EVERY TIME we end up sitting there waiting for at least 20 minutes for someone to bring out our order. Yes, we push the “I’m on my way” button when we leave to pick up, and yes we call when we arrive. Once I actually had to go inside and ask what was going on, after 30 minutes of waiting. They didn’t even know I was there waiting because the person I checked in with over the phone went on break after he told me my order was coming, but he didn’t bother to tell anyone to bring my order out! Absolutely terrible service. We’re done with this store.

I have been shopping here for the last 12 years. They have a lot of varieties of the products and are never out of stock. The price is a little bit high nowadays, but they provide good offers with Vons membership and Friday sales. Thank you, Vons, for serving the community for so long.

I moved near to this store six months ago; Ive visited pretty much once a week ever since. Well, Im done with this store; Id rather drive twice as far to a better branch.Worst problem? They never have enough checkouts open at any time of day or evening. Theyve ripped out most of them for a big self-checkout section; this is OK if I want a couple of things, but if Im buying a lot of stuff it doesnt work. Plus in CA its illegal to buy alcohol at a self-checkout so if I want a beer Im out of luck.If you care about your customers, open some checkouts so were not waiting in huge lines.The other constant problem is lack of stocks of basic goods. Every time I go, theres something theyve run out of; milk, break, soda, whatever. Im not too brand-fussy and I sure dont buy anything exotic, but Im sick of only getting 75% of the things on my list.The worst-managed large market Ive ever used.

Prior to the pandemic I shopped here regularly. Now that I feel comfortable doing my own grocery shopping again Im back.It looks like a bunch of new employees tho.This place usually has everything Im looking for and is well stocked.There is a bakery, deli, flower section, and meat and seafood department.There are other grocery stores that are way fancier, but this one serves the neighborhood well.

Just left this Vons. Maskless cashier spent ten minutes talking to an elderly woman while people waited. Ended up reloading my basket and going to the self-checkout.Tip: wear a mask.Tip: dont engage in small talk when people are waiting.Tip: dont wait 8 minutes before telling the customer their card was declined.

Even though she was busy & doing multiple things at once she kept checking up on me & even helped me bag some of my groceries & apologized that she couldnt help more (I didnt mind one bit). Poor customer service. I came in the store around 9am with a black scarf covered around my face. The lady manager approached me about it, and I told her I was Looking to to buy a face mask before I shopped, and that I forgot mine and needed to buy a proper mask, which is why I was in line...intending to shop afterward. (This was the closest store and my favorite store.) Instead she served the man in the back of me, instead of helping me. Note the store was empty, with me, the man and the older couple waiting in line. And at least I had some kind of covering on my face, and didn’t just walk in with no covering... Now I had to wait on the older couple in front of me. The lady manager with the dark wavy hair, and the cashier with the light brown hair, treated me like a disease and would not properly help me. So I no longer wanted to spend any money or waste anytime with these people. I’ve been coming To this store for over 6 years, and will Not Return.

Great market. Definitely need a Vons card to shop here and get fair prices but they are free and can be looked up with your phone number. Great fresh meat selection in the back and often cheaper than the pre packaged meat. Friendly staff and linens are never too long as compared to Walmart for example. Self checkout is a great option as well and machines work well. Vons has become my favorite market in the Los Angeles area!

I like this store . I especially love their baked goods. There are so many selections. Their deli department is kind of a hidden jam. Theyll make you a fresh sandwich which will not only taste good, itll be cheap too. Their signature soups are pretty good too, especially on a cold day.When you go youll need to take some extra time in order to really look around at all the great offers and discover new foods, or combination of foods which they have put together. Pretty amazing.

The cashier who works here, Mimi is ridiculously rude and possibly racist. She refused to take my expired ID, which is understandable, but when I brought my new ID, she asked for the old one to compare the pictures. She also commented on my weight, stating that I dont look as if I am 135 pounds as it states on my ID. SHE DOESNT NEED TO BE WORKING WITH THE PUBLIC. Thankfully, the manager Yesenia was very great with the situation. I am unsure of how it will be handled, but she understood completely. That privilege wont work with me.

Wide selection of products offered for sale. The restrooms are sometimes somewhat clean. The service deli staff is very friendly and helpful. The checkout staff could use some courtesy training, and some education on proper bagging methodology - its really not hard to figure out that soft produce should probably be placed on top of bottled and hard frozen items. This chain of stores is reliably more expensive for identical products available nearby, but has the advantage of being able to offer some really good Club prices which seem to offset the over expenditures produced by my reticence to go to more than one grocery store.

Many items are quite a bit more expensive than other markets so I generally go there for day old bread. a couple of the regular cashiers rarely smile & seem cranky always but otherwise they do their job well. The cheese bagels are HUGE and fresh and warm very early in the morning theyre sooo good. Try mixing a stick of butter or more with the cheese powder from Kraft Mac n cheese and spreading the halved bagels with it and broiling until starting to brown and youll wonder why the world isnt screaming about it!Thank you Grandma Jean! She usually overcooked em til partially dark, just short of burnt so I do too and its the only way. The spread is good on a lot of breads but on Vons cheese bagels they are the best. Oh yeah!!!

I have noticed that the price of Hot Wheels went down, but still higher than Ralphs in comparison.--Hot sandwiches are pretty good. Visual presentation needs some work, but hey, its delicious! Below average for a market. Usually not given the discount advertised or coupon price. Just went in 10:15PM today May 1st. Made purchase with $40.00 cash back. When I arrived home noticed I was Charged for two of the large bottled water packages rather than the sale price two for five dollars. Quite a ripoff.I happened in a couple of days later I mentioned the recent problem to a female cashier with Supervisor on her name tag.I may as well been talking to the man in the moon, She could ha e cared less.Today 3.1.20 Nacala the checker is typically rude today. Also beware of online savings coupons as signature coffee pods are $4.00 each at the store but $.49 more expensive online.

The staff are very nice but Vons tends to be a little more expensive compared to other grocery stores in the area like Ralphs, Trader Joes, or even Walmart if you want to make the trek to Porter Ranch. Its a nice grocery store, especially if you walk or ride a bike to get groceries, I just personally dont see the benefit in Vons over other stores I shop at...also the bathrooms were pretty gross.

There used to be a big problem with horrendously long lines here. There just werent enough cashiers and too many old people taking their sweet time writing checks. This Vons really has some rude, and ungrateful employees...I worked for a family, who had me do all their grocery shopping at this Vons in Reseda Ca, and the family would spend a good four to five hundred dollars a week on groceries; the clerks( check out) are the rudest, and unprofessional people, I have ever dealt with.Nevertheless, I would watch how down right unprofessional these checkers would treat customers, and because no one reported theyre behavior to corporate, they still continue their callow antics with people.I stopped shopping there, and wouldnt recommend this Reseda store to anyone!

Not being from California, Im new to Vons. It is a very nice grocery store with a fantastic produce section that has many organic offerings amongst other things. Their floral section seems to have beautiful arraignments that are lively and colorful. Their meats department has a nice selection and is reasonably priced. The bakery is amazing and has a wonderful selection of sweet and savory goods, all of which look amazing. Their rosemary ciabata rolls are absolutely delicious, although their donuts have a texture that Im not accustomed to, but still have great flavor. Overall, Im happy with my shopping experience here, but the only downside for me is that they seem a little on the pricey side for general grocery items. Having their Vons club card is a plus that saved me 25% on my last visit and accrued me points toward gas savings. Unfortunately, the points expire in 30 days and some have expired and gone to waste, before I could use them. I will definitely be back, but some of the more common items I will buy at Walmart to save some coin.

My family has shopped here for years and up until today we were very pleased with the service however there are some very rude employees. My father has a bit of an accent and I’m usually the one to help him. All we needed was some help finding Caprisun. So we asked an employee and we were shocked when he proceeded to belittle me and my father over his pronunciation. I understand that masks make it difficult to hear but a simple “Sorry could you repeat that?” Would have sufficed. Instead this employee decides to giggle and keep us for longer than needed by having us pull up a photo. I’d expect a grown man to act more respectful and professional instead of laughing like a child over something like an accent.

I went to this store every two weeks until an incident recently. I was in line and put my EMV chip card into the credit card machine and it resulted in a white/blank screen. Instead of trying it again or keying in the card the cashier told me I would need to try another card or get out of line. I then took my bags full of groceries to another line (as she watched me carefully thinking I was trying to walk out of the store with these unpaid groceries) and tried my card again in the other line and it went through.I then called the manager once I got home and spoke to a weekend manager who stated we were told we cant key in transactions (keying in the numbers from the card, the expiration date and other info in the event that a card is not working for whatever reason). I work for a merchant processing company and Ive never heard of a major company not allowing keyed in transactions. Most merchants pay a little more for these transactions but were talking less than a dollar normally.Even large companies with expensive items like Walmart allow this so its ridiculous that Vons or this particular location does not and would have me leave all my groceries and ride the bus back home simply because my card may be a little worn out or the terminal was not programmed correctly. Only reason I gave an extra star is because there was a friendly bagger there to bag my groceries before I had to take them to the other line. The cashier was rude and didnt speak English enough to communicate why she couldnt key in the card.

Lines are always too long, never enough cashiers. Today, an older gentleman in front of us questioned the price on an item claiming it was on sale. The cashier/assistant manager made him go back to find proof of the price while we waited. When he returned, the proof he had was not deemed adequate and the store sent an employee back to check, which they should have done in the first place. The people behind us in line were not angry, but were saying that they need to stop going here and should go to Ralphs. When our items were checked, the cashier refused to bag them, saying go to Ralphs if you want them bagged. After we left, a couple in the parking lot said that the cashier made rude comments about my wife and called her a b--ch.

Bought these delicious mold covered Organic Honeycrisp Apples from this Vons. Its sad to have to pay $5lb for Organic Apples only to go home and notice they have mold growing on them. This wasnt just 1 apple it was the entire 3lb bag of apples I bought. Thankfully I noticed it before washing it to give to my kids...the bag is going back. Either Organic Apples dont sell here that quickly causing them to mold or the vendor they use is pulling one over them by selling them bad apples.
