This was my first time going to this Vons location and it was okay. Its a very small grocery store so theres a very condensed list of items to buy. It took a lot longer to find things I was looking for because things seemed force to fit the capacity of the store. Despite this, the store is in a convenient location and was busy while I was there. I would recommend going here to grab a handful of last minute options but not for doing a full house shopping trip

I was going to give it five stars because an employee named Alicia went out her away to help me. After I loaded my groceries. I forgot ice. so I went back . Ice is outside so I grabbed my so I tripped with my hands full. I tripped over a handicap bumper painted dark blue. I went face-first and it hurts. FIRST OF ALL. its so dark in front of store . And a curb that does not need to be painted a dark color. I think the handicap logo is big enough. And Im surprised no one has been assaulted in the parking lot. Its perfect for predators.

Well this is only for a specific section, not the service. You should be careful buying dairy out of the milk fridge. I bought whipping cream and it was bad, went back and got another brand and although it seemed fine, it was also bad. Not sure if it’s just an issue with handling or the whole cooler isn’t at the right temp. I tried calling but no one answered.

I live in long beach and when I go to the Belmont pier I would stop in at the Starbucks inside this Vons. I do love Starbucks but for some reason they hire the rudest most unpleasant employees here.

This was one of the first ever small scale neighborhood market concepts by Vons. It used to be called “The Market by Vons” and opened around 2008. It was an attempt by Vons to make their own version of Fresh & Easy. Seeing as how Fresh & Easy failed in America, Vons abandoned the concept a few years after opening.As this is a small scale grocery store, you will not find everything a regular store has. Maybe only a few types of cereal or chips instead of an entire aisle. The bakery and deli selections are also smaller than a regular Vons. The only full size thing is the Wine and Beer section, which takes up almost half of the entire store.This was also one of the first grocery stores to feature self checkout.Another fun tidbit about this store is they have full service checkout. Just roll your cart up to the cashier and they will take everything out for you, scan it, bag it and stick it back in your cart.

My visit to Vons was good. Nice small store, not too crowded. Very nice staff. Best of all, I appreciate that they have Security in the parking lot. Helps to keep panhandlers away.

Very nice cashier and very understanding didnt make me feel bad a young lady so polite.But i didnt like how the lady from Starbucks treated me i ordered and i couldnt find with coffee was mine i ask and she was rude she told me it was there i didnt noticed that the cup protector was covering what flavor it was i ask again because me and my husband ordered differently and she raised her voice and told me its there. She put my drinks in a rip cupholderwith an upset face which my drinks where falling from when I got to the cashier thats when the really nice cashier ask me if I wanted another cup holder because i was purchasing bread from Vons bakery so she ask the employees from Starbucks and that lady turn and was doing faces to me behind my back my son told me she was doing that to me for asking for another decent cup Holder i was so surprised i never expected this specially from a Starbucks employee never going back i felt so humiliated and Im hoping i wasnt because of my race. I hope she gets a customer service class she really needs a lot of training in that area.

I love this store and we are fan of fried chicken and we always buy 3-4 times a week but now its really bad qualities with toooooooooooo much oil and unfresh. Its very big problens with your chef because the fried chicken not dry by too much oil like sauce👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿 hope the manager will keep his eyes on this section.

Love this market! Small, easy to navigate, full-service cashiers and self-check option. Produce is great, they have lots of excellent wines and charcuterie as well. My only complaint is that parking can be a bit of a challenge

Vons Market has definitely improved, they re designed the store and have a good selection of fresh organic vegetables now. I like that they have added more to the store while maximizing the space, prices are more expensive here than other stores but it is convenient that they are within walking distance of all the neighborhoods nearby. I didnt see any, but hoping next time I go in there I see impossible meat available at this store because it would be nice to buy it here.

I have returned several times since this incident and everything is back to normal. *****have been coming to this store for years now and my last 2 visits were met by the rudest cashier I have EVER came across at ANY store. My first experience, she was helping someone else and stayed on her cellphone the ENTIRE transaction which I thought was Extremely rude. It got worse. Returning 2 days later ( nov 23rd around 10 pm), I encountered my own experience when she “helped “ my husband and I on Self check out. She rudely PUSHED me out of the way twice ( the 1st time i thought was an accident) But did it harder the 2nd time after I sarcastically thanked her for her “help”. I WILl be returning and will be filing a complaint! Don’t bring my favorite little store down!

Great store for a fast pick up. Smallish parking lot which is great until a semi-truck pulls in for a delivery, which I always seem to catch!The store is clean and well kept. The staff have always been very helpful.They have most things you’ll need, but not everything. Last visit I needed mousse for my hair, but they didn’t carry it.There’s also a nice mini Starbucks here.

A very clean and nice store. Good costumer service and they keep shelves stack with food. They clean the shopping carts and store carry basket for you so you don’t have to clean them. Food is fresh and I love Starbucks and got an Starbucks drink and had a pleasant shopping day. Love the Brownie Cookies bar.

I’m growing very frustrated with this Market Vons. The meat clerk continually over charges for chicken. When you contest the price and point out that it’s labeled $3.99, he’ll grab the sign and say, “yeah that’s wrong, it’s $6.99”. This has happened multiple times. I can get the lack of produce, breads, and boxed goods simply due to the demand and lack of storage available at this location, but when your employees consistently overcharge you knowing the price is incorrect, that is unacceptable. Be wary of buying meat from the butcher, they’ll gaslight you about the price.

Its a great small store to get in and out of quickly. The downside is the checkout system. It requires you put all your items on the checkout counter. Theres no conveyor belt. The self check out is totally insane! The machine is finicky about bringing your own bags and is a patience and time drain. Never again with it. I saw some people managing it with one item. Never again for me.

This Vons is excellent. Very small. Good assortment of meat and vegetables. However they might not have everything you need because of the size of the store. The staff is very attentive and will call another cashier whenever the line has more than two customers. I would recommend this place as long as you are not trying to get something tooexotic

Employees are always polite and ready to help out. The bakery section i highly recommended. I believe the bakery managers name is angel. She is extremely helpful. Always a great selection of baked goods. The store is always very clean.

This is a terrible store. Their fried chicken is boarder line rancid. It is somehow both overcooked and gamey. Thats if anyone can be bothered to take notice of you waiting at the counter. I can guarantee that youll stand there for ten minutes or so before you can get any service. I would chalk this up to the terrible manager. When I had the audacity to complain about an alarm that shrilly rings 24 hours a day for a week, I had the joy of the manager telling me to go fly a kite. This is the worst grocery store Ive ever been to. Id only trust prepackaged food here, Ive never seen a more apathetic store. I dont blame the staff at all. If I had to work for that manager, I wouldnt care about my job either.

This is nice enough for a small store.Its convenient for quick bites like salads, fruit, pastries, sushi and deli food.The Market is not a large supermarket, so it doesnt have a large amount of other items like household supplies.I like that they have self-checkout in addition to regular, but, it can be slow and you have to ask for a bag from the cashiers.

My third choice for local grocer. The quality is high, the selection is low, stock is catered to beach-like activities. Less than perfectly handicap accessible: the isles are narrow, but I also hope they dont change this. Id rather the store be condensed with options than spacious and wanting. Poor service. The deli employees stood around talking to the deli manager as she was leaving. They didnt acknowledged me. Another customer came and stood next to me and they helped him before me. I was there first. While this employee made the customers sandwich, I stood there waiting for one of the other 2 even came to help me. After 10 minutes finally a female employee helped me. Her service was poor as she continued her conversation with her co employee. Very disappointing 😕

This is a Market (express) version of the regular Vons stores. It is very boutique and not all the items you will necessarily expect to be in a Vons will be here. Think: Corner Market. But even so it does have a Starbucks that is open until 9pm most nights and they have a beautiful floral department and always something new to spend my money on in the various isles. Very nice.

Ahhhh yes, the village Vons, as the local shore residents refer to it. Its got a smaller slightly more expensive price tag on the same items as other Vons. Its a small store that has all you really need. The deli and bakery both great. Fire burning oven. The wine section is extensive, as are all Vons I know of. They always showcase top to bottom shelf prices and at times theres a great deal.The employees are very kind and thr security guards are nice too. The other shoppers are polite and take good care to buy food that feeds the body well. I like this Vons

Kind of a cross between a convenience store and a grocery store. Not a great place for baked goods or fresh fruits and veggies, and has a limited selection on other items mainly because its a smallish store. That said, its convenient for those in the neighborhood-- a good place go get last-minute stuff that you need for your dinner, like a missing ingredient, or beer/ wine on sale.

I stopped by to pick up a few items before getting a cut down the street. I had a moment of forgetfulness and had to return to the store to recover something. Without going into detail, the staff was both responsive and considerate of my oversight. The returned item came with an understanding that it was not a common practice. Went to do a little late night shopping 7-15-18 walked in prepared to shop but my lady friend ask to use the restroom but was denied,she ended up having to go outside to relieve herself,shortly after that noticed another young lady goes inside,out of curiosity I asked did they let you use the restroom and she replied yes they did. I always regret going to this store. The items they carry are in the most expensive packaging/quantities available. For example, the only diet tonic water I could buy was a 6 pack of 10 oz bottles for $4.99. At a regular Vons I can buy 2 liters for $1.98. Also, their self-serve does not work when you bring your own bags.

This is one of Vons smaller The Market neighborhood stores and because of the limited space, you should not expect to find the kind of deep selection you might find in their larger store downtown. Also watch what you order at the meet counter, the persons serving you dont have the best attention to detail and will sometimes key the wrong product number resulting in an overcharge.

They would have gotten five if the security lady wasnt so busy talking to her friend instead of helping me locate my Subway gift card that I lost in the store. I asked her to help me because I was outside already and so is she and she said oh sure Ill help you and I waited another ten minutes for her to finish visiting with her friend in the parking lot for her to go inside and find out. Dirty store. Freezer had overfrozen almost everything so it was all frost bitten. The staff was too busy chit chatting with each other to give us attention. We had to wait like 5 minutes to be let into the bathroom along with other people that had already been waiting so we had to go remind the clerk there was now a line.

A boutique grocery store, small with narrow aisles and an odd arrangement of merchandise. Bar soap, for instance, is kept behind the counter along with cigarettes and toothpaste. A very nice produce section and an outsized liquor department round out the selection. The checkout clerks could benefit from a course in customer service.

The worst store yet Im handicap I need to use the scooter they provide. I had Jose bring the scooter to my car went in the store went to use the bathroom they had so much stuff in the hallway made it hard to get in when I left the bathroom the scooter was dead I told Jose the manager this was the 4th time to his store and every time the scooter ran out of charge within 3 minutes his response was have you bought anything I stated to him I would like to but the scooter has died again like the last 4 times I was here he said people come and dont buy anything they use the bathroom and complain..not Im sorry not can I get something for you. This will be my last stop at this store. This review is mostly for the Starbucks inside this store but affects my shopping at this market as well. Ive been stopping at this location for a few years as its on my typical errands route. Its convenient to pick up grocery items and a coffee at the same time, service at this Starbucks has always been hit of miss but more recently its been terrible especially if theres 1 or 2 people ahead of me, barristers never seem to listen to my order so I have to coach them thru it at the pickup end and if I order a snack they always have to be reminded and act put out that they forgot, they always seem to be talking to other employees and COMPLAINING about something. The nice thing about Starbucks is I can place my same order all over the world and the result is consistent but not here, more often than not the drink I order is unrecognizable and or just bad tasting. Today was the worst, I was the only customer and they made my drink wrong but the final straw was the girl working today wouldnt stop texting on her phone. Now I understand that this problem is probably here to stay and most service people use their phones discretely but this just blew my mind when she stopped doing anything related to her actual job for what seemed like forever. I will probably never spend my money at this grocery store and Starbucks again since I have many other options where I wont be ignored.

Vons has lots of great options available. Loads of grocery items, meat, seafood, bakery, dairy, gifts, plants and more. I just popped in to grab a few things when I was staying in the area. Everything is set out well & easy to find. I found it a little bit on the expensive side. Staff were friendly and helpful tho.

This store ALWAYS has one checker and will NOT call for another checker unless youve been standing in line for 10 minutes. The food selection is poor and the prices are high. Although there are homeless in front of most grocery stores the one they have here are belligerent and entitled and seem to have a permanent encampment.
