Location: Okay, Parking: Good, Service, Decent, Finding Certain products: Okay. Onside Meat Counter : Yes, Deli: Yes, Fresh Sandwiches: yes, starbucks: yes, Pharmacy: yes, Overall: This is One of the nicer Grocery stores in LaVerne, One big plus is the Thanksgiving meals to order. I always get the prime rib dinner and this year year they only had 4. Sorry it has to be hidden behind a building so you cant see it from the street. They are limited in a few products my family buys and when they get it in it is normally the smaller version which is not what what I want. Still, I will go there but as a second choice...3.5 stars...

MARCH 21 4:00 PMI had to wait 10 minutes at the deli counter to purchase fried chicken while 3 employees at the other end of the counter had to finish their conversation and laughing it up. I was the only customer at the counter. they certainly dont think paying customers deserve good service or respect. I guess VONS does not need to keep their customers happy and can afford to lose them. IF THESE PEOPLE WERE WORKING IN MY BUSINESS THEY WOULD NOT BE WORKING FOR ME.

My very first time 06/09/2024, I visited Vons and was left feeling disappointed. I have them 4 star because almost all the fruits and vegetables were fresh, but I was so disappointed that at the point of checking out the cashier was asking if I counted the habenaro pepper I got, I was like count? cos all the grocery stores I have been to never counted habenaro pepper.I told him no and they started counting and counted 66@ 16 dollars, even my daughter was suprise and said mommy that pretty expensive, lol.But, honesty why would they be counting tiny pepper why not using scales to measure in lbs.I ended up not getting them and went somewhere else. Hence reason for 4 star instead of 5

Hey guysI called Vons fuel number to ask how much gas was, this way I wouldn’t have to drive around. I was told they can not give you the information over the phone that it is a store policy. In case you all need to know you can check the website and it will display the prices. Guess the person who answered was too lazy to check, I’ve never heard of not being able to give me gas price over the phone. But okay 🤷🏻‍♀️. Anyways hope this helps.

This Vons is large, well stocked with quality products, organized clean has a Starbucks a pharmacy and a Vons gas station. It somewhat pricey but will not break the bank.

I have been a loyal customer for my entire life of 40 plus years. We use an app to purchase digital gift cards [through raise-right] to help support my daughters school. The problem occurs when trying to use this online gift card at the fuel station in La Verne Vons. For example, today, I tried to use my phones screen to scan the QR code to use the online gift card and was turned down by the gentleman behind the counter (he was from Upland store). He called the manager, which did not help, and was too busy to come to the front to talk to a customer. It took over 40 minutes of walking into the physical store of vons to discuss with the manager the need for me being able to use the online digital wallet that is as good as cash. The manager continued to say that she was told not to allow any phone screens for payment. Eventually, she looked at the app I was using and okd the fuel staion to use $40 of my funds. They have refused payment from my phones wallet before. This happened months ago and was cleared up by an excellent representative and hoping they will step in and educate staff again. Clearly, there needs to be some clear up with the regional manager and district managers that digital gift cards are an exceptable form of payment. If this is not true, customers, such as I, should be made aware before we purchase these cards. I am still waiting for someone in administration to fix this ongoing problem and looking forward to seeing how this will be resolved.

Very disappointed in their bakery department. I walked in looking for one of their delicious cakes at the bakery and I found one I liked, I took it home and set it on the table for everyone to enjoy. Wow! Was I disappointed, the cake was so stale Im convinced the cake must have been sitting there in their bakery counter window for at least 3 or 4 days. It was terrible! I will never buy another cake from them again.

I ordered sushi from the bar and the lady was wonderful. I didn’t originally see what I wanted and was about to walk away but she let me know that she could make me what I wanted and my 2 workers decided to order too and she was able to make the sushi with a handful a special request. I don’t usually write reviews but I have been coming here for a couple years now and I always make a stop at the Starbucks inside the store. I have been treated with nothing but love from the baristas every time I come. Christopher and Vicky are the nicest and most genuine people I have ever met and are the reason I continue to get my Starbucks drinks here. Thank you guys for being such genuine and amazing people. There are a few grocery stores in the area where the prices are a little better but I prefer to shop here since I can usually get everything I need. The store is well stocked, clean and very customer service oriented. I also usually buy gas here even though I have a Costco membership just because it’s close and more convenient.

They must welcome regulars or something I never been to Vons but I was on ther road and google a Safeway to grab a fresh sandwich for my ride from the deli when I arrived to the deli after 5 mins of looking I see two workers are busy and there is worker I asked for help she said you have to grab there attention because I’m going to make sushi i then asked if she could at least them know I’m here she gave it a second then asked for help when the worker can to me he said yes I said I would like to order a sandwich he says okayyyy which one .. I told him my bread selection and proceeded to ask for mayo & mustard he did not change gloves from previous activity but I trudged my best not to let it bother after must & mayo the worker wiped every utensils clean with a rag immediately after then back to holding my bread i then asked fo lettuce there was none out so he opened a fridge and pulls out a whole big box of fresh lettuce takes one out closes the box back up and closes fridge grabs a few pieces of lettuce & put it in my sandwich and I politely told him it was okay I didn’t need the sandwich anymore I was so hungry & really craving the food so it sucked & I ended up having a bag of chips it’s really for nutrition I will not even go back there God bless

Staff is always gracious, helpful, and have scooters available for the disabled with the cart large enough for shopping a good amount. Halls are wide, and store is well lighted. Food is fresh well stocked. Club card brings down the price & great points discount on gasoline. Great store. I love the fresh bread variety. Store is clean, especially the bathrooms.

Excellent customer service today at the store in LaVerne! Just 4 You did not tally up to the correct discounted price (which is not unusual) and i was in a hurry and very frustrated. Gentleman at the checkout honored the correct price without a hassle. very cool. then another employee ran out and caught me in the parking lot, then handed me my phone which i left at the checkout. whew! I was never a VONS shopper until a few years back when I began to stop in for a few things here and there out of convenience! I noticed from the very first visit the employees are by far the best in the business! I have never walked in the door without being greeted like royalty by everyone working there! Having worked for the competitor for 18 years, I know customer service, and they have my vote for the #1 spot! I always assumed they had high prices. But to my surprise, many of their prices are even lower than the other stores. The store is always clean, and well stocked with product every time I go in! You cant walk past an employee in that store without a smile or an offer of help! They remember faces and treat you like family! Its a great feeling! I highly recommend this store to everyone!

Nice layout, people are friendly, but most of the food is expensive.There is limited selection of meat other that beef(very little grass fed) and pork as well as fish. Not much variety in produce and ethnic foods. There is a good selection of wines and spirits but prices are not very competitive and you have to buy at least 6 to get a good price.

My favorite grocery store! The ppl are courteous, friendly, and helpful. The produce is always fresh and on point! I’m a big veggie eater and this Vons always has my favorite veggies and fruits. This Vons is the second closest grocery store near my house. I would go to the other one but its a little bit more expensive. The staff keeps the place well organized, and they are friendly and willing to help. The one thing I would not pick about this Vons is the layout. The dairy section is separated into 3 sections located in ailes close to each other. Otherwise my go to grocery store.

I told you guys about mold growing on one of the cartons where the Indian masala is at is located. Product has spilled an drenched the carton that holds the individual units. This was reported to your team back in February 2022. Its now October and the mold infested carton is still there??? How are you not able to smell the order emitting off of that shelf? This is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. Clean it up!

They have always been very helpful ( with a smile). Especially, when I collapsed in the store, they gave me a pillow for my head to rest on while I waited for the paramedics to come. Also, without hesitation they alway help me get the 24 pack of water bottles off the shelf and to my car. Vons is the story of my choice to do my grocery shopping.

Visited for lunch items only. Purchased tomato soup from soup bar, and made my own salad from salad bar, which had ALOT of fresh toppings to choose from. Lettuce was very fresh. This rating is for the Jack in the Box located on Foothill Boulevard and Garey Avenue in La Verne California. I will never go there again! Thats twice now that Ive got food poisoning from there Jumbo Jack. The first time was a few years ago and Ive gone a few times after that not sure if theyre Jumbo Jack caused the stomach cramps that I had. Then I went again about a month-and-a-half ago and I had the same symptoms and the symptoms were the same day not having anything else to eat between. They must not be following their food handling protocol.

Vons is an awesome grocery store and this one is no different. So why the 3 stars you ask. This specific location is roughly .50/item more for my usual purchases than a competitor. I came for the gas discount but quickly realized I trip to the store cost me more than the .10 I was trying to save. From milk, to bread, to frozen dinners, to juices, everything was .50 more almost exactly. Also, the ad said dreyers was 5/2.88 but it was 2.99. Odd but that is just a little more than a .50 increase. Must be their magic number?

Things have changed since I was last there we no longer have to wait in a long line you just wait at the individual cashiers. I went after chicken unfortunately it was only packed in huge packages so I couldnt even get what I wanted. Because I was in an electric scooter I was afraid to try to pull a cantaloupe down from the shelf and there was no one to help me. I figured if I went about 7:15 a.m. I would not have any problem but I did, so no cantaloupe and no chicken.

Every time I place an order it will not accept the credit card I called and you have to go out of the site and go into another site to try to find out where to enter your card number so I said forget it after entering my order can’t waste all day ordering groceries. This place is full of racist workers who stereotype. I came on around 10pm and the store was very lonely. Workers were already restocking and the worker shouted on the speaker that the security should scan all aísles. This worker who’s name is Jaqueline had the audacity to begin harassing us in the store by following us around. Next time I will think twice about shopping at a vons.

Everything is top-drawer, incuding bakery, self- and full-serve deli, fish and meat markets -- I have only seen one of the flagship Safeways in Livermore, CA, and it had a full-serve sushi bar and a prep-salad bar!!
